Work Text:
My life is like a hurricane
with screams for a wall.
And every now and then
there’s an eye amidst it all.
My happiness is like gold.
I want to have it all day.
But it doesn’t last that long,
because nothing gold can stay.
My sadness is like fog.
It can creep up any time.
But soon enough it fades,
and I’m left feeling sublime.
My life is like a Labyrinth,
but I’m running out of thread.
If I don’t escape soon
I’ll surely be dead.
My rage is like fire.
It scorches and grows.
And it can sway and shift
any way the wind blows.
My compassion is like water.
It will never run out.
The world is very harsh,
But love’s what I’m about.
My life is like the world,
in its ever-changing state.
Sometimes it’s awfully horrid,
and sometimes it’s awfully great.
