Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Shouta’s patrol was going on later than usual. Apparently, some punkass was messing with the police and vandalizing things. He just wanted to go home and sleep and the rain wasn’t helping any. He paused as he heard some noise coming from an alley. Shouta got his capture gear ready as he made his way over to investigate.

The suspect was a teenager who was currently spray painting vulgar words onto the brick wall. Shouta sighed; he had enough trouble with his own problem children, he didn’t need some brat keeping him from going home.

“Oi, what are you doing.” Shouta didn’t have time for this.

The kid turned around electric blue eyes staring. “Tch. I’m not doing anything. Fuck off before something bad happens.”

“Are you threatening me?” Shouta was getting more pissed off the longer he spent with this brat. The blue eyes somehow got even brighter before when a flash of light went off.

Fuck… He used his quirk…

Shouta didn’t remember falling to the ground but when he got up the kid was gone. Feeling somewhat dizzy, Shouta decided to just go home; hoping the kid’s quirk wouldn’t do anything too bad.

By the time he reached his house, a headache had grown making it incredibly hard to think. Changing out of his hero outfit, Shouta quickly changed into a shirt and some pink sweatpants. He made sure not to wake up Hizashi as he made his way under the covers. Soon he was asleep.

Hizashi woke up to the sound of rain. He felt around for his glasses, sitting up, not wanting to get up to start the day. Mochi noticed that he was awake and started meowing demanding food.

“Alright, alright. I’m up.”

Mochi walked out of the bedroom, presumably to go to the kitchen. This gave Hizashi some time to stretch and turned over to wake Shouta up, only to see the bed empty. However, Hizashi definitely felt something next to him. He tugged the blanket off, only to see a kid curled up fast asleep.

What…

Hizashi stared. The kid looked to be around two or three years old, black hair in gentle waves, he also happened to be wearing clothes that were way too big for him.

“Oi, Shouta. Wake up.”

After being poked numerous times, Shouta began to stir. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. Big gray eyes opened, Hizashi held his breath.

“Hmm...What..?”

Hizashi swore. “Do you know who I am?,” he prodded Shouta’s cheeks. So soft… Shouta blinked and yawned again. “I’m sleepy… I’m take a nap. Good night.” Shouta proceeded to lay back down, burrowing under the covers.

“Oi, Shouta, honey. I need you to get up. We have to eat breakfast; we can have some strawberry toast if you wake up right now.” The blanket flew off. “I’m ‘wake,” Shouta mumbled as he began getting out of bed.

“It’s kinda cold, my feet are cold.”

“Yeah baby, we’ll get you some clothes that fit you good later. But first let’s eat; how does that sound?” Hizashi picked up the kid and made his way into the kitchen to make food. Mochi rushed by, desperate for food, meowing and walking between Hizashi’s legs.

“Mochi! Put me down, I wanna play with Mochi.” Shouta started to squirm, determined to play with the kitten.

“You know who Mochi is?” Hizashi was confused about Shouta’s mental state. Maybe it was a combination of baby Shouta and adult Shouta. He set him down and Shouta started cooing at the brown tabby.

“Where are Juice and Sock? I wanna play with them too.” Shouta’s tiny hands were petting Mochi who purred, happy with the attention. Hizashi got out his phone and took a picture. He then remembered it was a school day. “Shit!”

“Hmm? What’s wrong? Do you wanna play with Mochi too?” Shouta’s stomach growled. “Let’s have strawberries now!”

Hizashi began to sweat, what should he do with Shouta? Take him to school, call out sick? Actually, calling out sick seemed nice. The rain was making Hizashi feel lethargic anyways. Alright call out sick, then- Hizashi felt a tug on his sweatpants. “Hey, can we have strawberries now? Me and Mochi are hungry.” Shouta was pouting, his oversized shirt making him look smaller than he was.

“Let me make a phone call real quick then I’ll start making breakfast, how does that sound sweetie?” Hizashi poured out cat food as he began to think of what to say to Nezu…

“Ok. I’m be on the couch, can I watch T.V?”

“Oh, um sure let me set it up for you. Do you have anything you wanna watch?” Hizashi watched as Shouta struggled to get up on the couch. “Put on angry cat show, it’s funny.”

“I don’t know what that is,” Hizashi helped Shouta onto the couch and brought a blanket over, tucking him in.

“We watch it all the time Mic. The angry cat show and she works and likes to scream.” Hizashi turned to Shouta surprised. “You know who I am?” Hizashi wanted to know what kind of mindset Shouta actually had. It could possibly help get him back to normal. Maybe?

“I know who you are?” Shouta tilted his head confused; why wouldn’t he know who Mic was. “Yeah, we’ve been friends since like my whole life.”

“Then how old are you Shouchan.”

“I’m thirty. This old,” He held up four fingers.

“So you’re four years old? Or thirty?”

“Huh? No, I’m three years old.” Hizashi sighed, “Honey, you held up four fingers.”

“Whoops. Whatever, I wanna eat so hurry up and make your phone call. But first put on angry cat show!” Shouta was pouting again, he hated being awake this early.

“Angry cat show? I still don’t know- Oh! Do you mean Aggretsuko?” Shouta smiled, “Yeah! She’s so funny. Put her on.” Hizashi laughed, of course Shouta would think she was a cat.

Hizashi set up the show, then went to go call Nezu. After the third ring he picked up.

“Hello Yamada-kun! Is everything alright?”

“Ah, well you see-”

“Does it have something to do with Aizawa-kun?” Hizashi gulped. It was seriously scary how smart Nezu was.

“Haha yeah, you wouldn’t believe it. Well, Shouta got turned into a kid, probably from someone he encountered on his patrol last night. He seems to be a mixture of childish and adult Shouta. So anyways, I was gonna call us both out sick since he obviously can’t go to work like this ya know plus someone has to look after him.”

“Of course. Keep me informed about how Aizawa-kun is behaving. Bye for now.” Hizashi smiled, the phone call went way better than expected. He walked back into the room to see that Shouta had already fallen asleep, Mochi and Juice curled up with him. He took another photo, then made his way into the kitchen to start breakfast.

Getting the ingredients out, Hizashi began to think about Shouta’s predicament. He hoped that everything went back to normal soon, but knowing how crazy quirks could be, who knew when Shouta would return to normal. Cutting the strawberries up and putting the bread in the toaster. Hizashi decided to go wake up his husband turned toddler.

Pausing the T.V, he gently shook the black haired child only stopping when he began to wake up. Shouta grumbled but eventually opened his eyes and sat up.

“Look, Juice is here!” Shouta grinned and rubbed the cat’s head.

“It’s time for breakfast little listener.” Shouta quickly got off the couch and rushed to the table, only to not be able to get onto the chair.

“Miiiic, come help me.” Hizashi walked over and hoisted him up.

“Ready? Three, two, one… Let’s get you up!”

Shouta was too short for the table so Hizashi grabbed some pillows to help boost him to a proper height. Getting the toast out, he slathered some butter and put the strawberries on top. “Do you want some sugar on top Shouta?”

“Yes please.” Shouta was already picking off some fruit, eager to finally eat. Hizashi sprinkled the sugar on top and went to cut the food to make it easier for Shouta to eat.

“Is it good?” Hizashi went to go bring his plate to the table and turned to see Shouta staring at his hands. “Is everything ok?”

“...Why am I a kid..?” Big gray eyes looked up at him.

Hizashi swore.
