Inverted (BNHA AU)

Summary:

THIS HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.

Bakugou Katsuki. A rude, vicious, and loud student who can barely keep himself restrained. He blows up everything he sees, shouts at everyone, and has no manners whatsoever. Then there's his twin.

Bakugou Tsukika. A shy, quiet, and nerve-wracking student who can barely keep his wits. He cries at almost everything, can't talk louder than a whisper, and is a wimp if anyone's ever seen one.

Two mirror twins, completely different, yet completely the same.

Chapter Text

When Mitsuki Bakugou had first seen her children, she was sure there was a mistake.

No doubt about it, the boy held in her right arm with spiky blonde hair and mahogany red eyes was definitely her son. Her eyes drift to her left arm, where another baby lay.

A boy with black jagged hair that seemed to droop a bit, and cobalt blue eyes that shimmered under the fluorescent lights.

She looks up towards the nurse, her body still slackened with exhaustion, before calling out and asking her, "Are you sure this one is my son? We had twins?"

The nurse smiles kindly.

"Do you or your husband have parents that either had black hair or blue eyes?" She asks timidly, not wanting to stress out the exhausted mother. Mistuki thinks back to her parents. Her own mother had blue eyes, and Masaru's parents (both of them) had black hair.

Mitsuki nods, and the nurse continues, "Then both you and your husband must be heterozygous, meaning you both have your parents traits, which the first twin inherited."

Mitsuki nods, her usual spirited soul having gone relaxed. The nurse clears her throat to catch Mitsuki's attention.

"So, what would you like to name them Miss?" She looks first to the blonde twin.

"This one is Katsuki-" Her eyes drift to the other twin, "-and this is Tsukika."

"What lovely names."

"Wait up, Kakkun!"

"Yeah! Kacchan wait for your brother!"

Bakugou groans in annoyance, stopping quickly. His friends also stop slightly ahead of him. Izuku and Tsukika catch up and stop next to Bakugou, who only mumbles a quiet 'welcome' when they thank him.

One of Bakugou's friend makes a whining sound.

"Why can't we ditch them? Your brother is such a wimp, and Izuku is weak." Bakugou turns around, grabbing the boy by the collar, pulling him close to his face.

"What did you say about my brother?" He asks, with a growl, a sizzle beginning to burn the boy's collar. The boy raises an eyebrow.

"What? I'm pretty sure he's quirkless too, why do we need to hang out with him. You don't have to just because you're twins, y'know."

Bakugou grits his teeth. He hated this. He hates how everyone picks on his brother. He hates how his brother never did anything about it. He hates that he is the only one who knows his twin is stronger than him.

Bakugou grabs his reflections arm, holding the palm out towards the face of the boy who insulted him.

"Use your quirk Tsuki." Tsukika instantly began quivering in fear.

"N-no! W-what- what if I-I re-really hurt him?" His voice quick and shaking. The boy being held up frowned.

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" The boy shoves Bakugou away, stomping up toward Tsukika.

"Do you really believe that you could hurt me?" Tsukika nods shyly, looking down.

"Well I survived Bakugou's blast to the face, you won't be able to harm me at all!" Tsukika continues to refuse, shaking his head harder.

"I really REALLY don't want you to get hurt." The boy grits his teeth, thinking of a way to aggravate the older twin.

"Well, I guess you're just as much of a wimp as your brother." Tsukika's hand twitches, the boy notices. Bakugou grits his teeth and looks away.

"You must get your weak attitude from him, no wonder he always waits for you-" Bakugou already knows how this is going to end, but lets it play out. He figures that all his friends should understand Tsukika's standing.

"-Bakugou really is weak." Tsukika's bright azure eyes go dull as he swiftly moves forward, his eyes dead and boring into the boy's skull, fingers wrapped around his face, crushing it.

"Don't talk about my brother like that."

The boy didn't return to school for a month after that incident.

A little boy with messy green hair stands in front of a sobbing boy on the ground, tears in his eyes as he quakes with fear.

"Why are you being so mean? You're making him cry Kacchan!" He releases the grip on his pants.

"If you keep on hurting him, I'll- uh- I'll stop you myself!" 10 minutes later, he's spotted on the ground, beaten and crying, by a black-haired twin.

Tsukika rushes over, helping Izuku sit up, the boy nearby explaining all the happened to Izuku.

Tsukika shakes Izuku awake. He blinks his groggy verdant eyes open.

"A-are you okay?" He blinks a couple times and smiles at his friend.

"W-who did th-this to yo-you?" Tsukika mumbles out frantically. Izuku sits up properly, but remains quiet, not wanting to upset the kinder twin.

"Iz-izuku??" Tsukika begins to tear up, small drops already falling down his cheeks.

"D-do you not li-like me? Is-is that why yo-you're no-t talking? Are y-you dyin-dying? Izuku!" Izuku sighs, telling Tsukika to calm down.

Eventually, Izuku breaks, telling Tsukika it was his brother.

Tsukika walked Izuku home. Looking back on it now, it was probably then when Tsukika began drifting away from Bakugou.

Currently, the teacher was supposed to be handing out forms for future plans, but decided against it, knowing all the students were headed for the hero course.

Tsukika's 1st Person POV

Everyone was cheering to the teacher's words, and I simply ignored it, looking out the window to the right of me.

"Didn't Izuku and Tsukika say they wanted to go to U.A. too?" Bakugou's eyes dart to mine, and I watch his gaze soften slightly before he turns to Izuku and glares.

"You're worse than everyone else here Deku! You quirkless shit can't even live up to these wannabes!"

"Guess he still won't diss on his own brother." A girl whispers to the left of me.

"Even though he's still a wimp."

"Shh, be quiet! What if one of them hears us!"

"It doesn't matter if the older on hears us, he's too shy to do anything." I whimper under my breath, and they hear me, instantly shutting up their conversation.

As class ends, I walk over to Izuku, who is still packing up his stuff.

"H-hey Izuku, I'm g-going to go f-fee-feed the fishes, woul-would you please wai-t for me?" I ask nervously. I shouldn't make him wait for me like this, I know it's wrong, and I don't mean to, but I can't help but want to hang out with him.

Izuku nods with a cheerful smile, telling me not to worry, and I head off, believing his words.

I stop at a small fountain outside the entrance of our school. My trembling hands reach into my bag and pull out a small container filled with fish food. I watch as the fish begin to swim closer to me as I lean over the fountain and sprinkle some of the food into the water.

I wait until each fish has had their fill, and sprinkle in more when needed. In the distance, I hear the sound of a familiar explosion, and I watch a window as shortly after, a book goes flying out, heading for the pond. My body shakes and I stumble forward, attempting to catch the book.

Tripping over my own shoes, I splash into the fountain, successfully catching the notebook, but not without a couple drops of water sprayed onto the burnt cover.

I clamber out of the small pool of water and flip through the pages, recognizing Izuku's handwriting.

I pull off my dripping wet jacket and squeeze the water of it, back into the fountain. Footsteps pull me back and I see an upset Izuku coming out, his face holding a sort of gloom.

I tap his shoulder, "W-w-what's wrong?"

He looks at me, smiling softly before looking around, shoulders slackened.

"I-I- book." I stutter out, not wanting to trouble him too much.

"What are you talking about?" He asks, turning to face me, and I hold out the book, burnt with the cover slightly damp.

"S-sorry, the cover still got a bit wet, but I sa-sa-saved it from the water." He takes this chance to look me over.

"Did you fall into the fountain?" I can't help but feel shy as he begins laughing. His smile softens.

"Thanks so much for saving this for me, I'm really glad you went through all that effort." I weakly smile at him.

"I-I'd do most anything to make you happy." I say as I offer a small smile, and when I look up towards him once more, I find him as red as a tomato.

"A-are you okay?" He nods.

"I'm just really happy that you saved my book. I just wish we could work on your stuttering so people wouldn't doubt you so much. I also wonder why you still hang out with a quirkless loser like me..." He trails off, looking sullen.

I frantically wave my hands, as if they would clear away the thought.

"No! No! You're not a loser!" I quickly blurt out as we begin walking home.

"You're much bra-braver than I am, and you have a-a-amazing g-g-goals and ambitions!" He chuckles, a small blush dusting over his face.

We're soon passing under a small bridge and I hear a strange slurping sound. A murky green creature slips between a manhole cover, it's gooey being dripping onto the ground as it emerges, catching sight of both Izuku and me.

I feel Izuku shake with fear next to me, freezing in place as his foot shifts ever so slightly.

"You both will make great skinsuits..." The creature had said, it's voice echoing through the tunnel. I shove Izuku behind me and glare at the villain.

Without a moment's hesitation, it shoots forward, zipping towards us, a grim smile on its mouth.

I grab Izuku's hand, pulling him to the side, and keep pulling Izuku along with me as we avoid the creature.

Suddenly, the manhole cover shoots off, and a large, bulky figure climbs out, holding a plastic grocery bag in its left hand.

All Might.
