Chapter Text
A smile crossed your features as you wiped the sweat from your forehead before setting the brush down on the grooming table. Taking a few steps back, you grinned as you admired your work.
Your dog's golden coat shined under the dim lights of the holding area, along with other different dogs but of course to you, your dog was the nicest.
Your dog was the best.
After using your favorite grooming supplies, a spray bottle containing coat lifter and shiner, a pair of thinning shears, and your trusty pin brush, you managed to tame your dog's previously unruly coat.
Before you could continue to admire him, he wagged his tail and used his paw to try and reach for you. You chuckled before giving him the attention and scratching the part behind his ears where he loved being pet.
"Alright, Chim," You gently spoke as you looked into his curious brown eyes, teasingly you poked his nose which he barked at. "No need to be so needy. I'll pet you after your last run, okay?"
You knew that your dog wouldn't understand why you couldn't pet him yet, it would mess up all the hard work that you did into grooming his coat. It's not that it was hard, you were used to it, but it took quite some time.
"Aish, people are gonna start thinking that you're insane for talking to Chim." You rolled your eyes knowing who it was, scratching Chim's chin one last time before you faced the person.
There stood your rival and friend, Jungkook. He had a teasing smirk on his face.
You grabbed your spray and pointed it at his face, he defensively raised his arms in the air.
"Hey!"
"It will make your hair fluffier, Kooks," you teased him, "This is more expensive that your shampoo." You added lowering it and putting it back on the grooming table.
Jungkook chuckled before he ruffled your air, "Aish!" You swatted his hands away and glared at him. You tried to comb your (h/c) back into place, you continued to glare at him as he chuckled.
Most of the people that the two of you were closed to in the dog show, shipped the two of you. Because you and Jungkook endlessly bantered but would end up comforting each other whenever one would lose. Your dogs competed in different classes but there were times that you had to go up against each other.
"Golden Retriever entries 213, 214, 215, proceed to Ring 1." The announcer's voice boomed throughout the place where the show was being held. Your eyes widened as you grabbed your arm strap where your number was. You were 220, in the male's champion class. Putting it on over the blazer that you sported, you put the show lead on Chim and ushered him to jump down.
Walking towards the ring, you saw Jungkook with a dog which looked unfamiliar.
"New dog?" You asked him with an eyebrow cocked. He simply nodded another smile on his face.
"Yup," He used a ball to catch the dog's attention. "A client's though. He'll be in the regular class."
"Entry 216!" The announcer called for Jungkook. He quickly turned around and waved his arm in the air.
"Looks like we're up." He said then you pushed him to go.
"Hope that you win," You shouted. "So I can beat your ass for Best Dog!" He shot you a nasty glare which meritted a cheeky grin from you. You then watched as Jungkook freestacked* his dog.
The judge was a female, a young one too. Checking the background earlier, you knew that she didn't specialize in Goldens.
And you knew that Jungkook had an advantage. The woman had been batting her lashes at him as she 'judged' the dogs. You only rolled your eyes when someone from behind you chuckled.
"Show politics." You turned to see Namjoon, who had a knowing look on his face. You could only sigh and nod.
"I won't be surprised if Jungkook wins this one." It's not that you questioned his handling skills and the appearance of the dog that he was handling, but that was the reality. Sometimes the judges didn't know what they were doing.
You had to admit that sometimes, being a girl had its advantage. Seeing that most judges were male.
The dogs took their turn in running around the ring when something pawed at your slacks. You saw Chim looking at you with his half almond half round shaped eyes as he begged you for the peanut butter treat you were holding on to.
"You greedy boy." You made him freestack and gave him the treat. To prove that he was a true golden, he swallowed it.
Whole. You only rolled your eyes before turning your attention back to the ring. You saw that the woman had placed Jungkook's dog first as she handed and shook his hand.
Jungkook appeared to be oblivious to her attempts at flirting. He was too busy cheering and pet the Winners Dog*. It was your turn to go in the ring, and of course, you had to compete with other attractive men.
You were the first in the line up, seeing that Chim was the youngest among the entries. The two other entries were goldens that belonged to Taeyong and Mark.
You didn't have time to take note of them as you free stacked Chim. He stood in attention, tail wagging side to side as he stood in attention. You flicked your wrist as his focus remained on the treat.
The judge told you to run around the ring. All of you ran around to show your dogs gait*. The one thing that you loved about Chim, was that his movement was flawless. Effortless.
Walking to the front, you quickly stacked him. Putting his two front feet together and slightly adjusting the back. You raised his tail and his head as the judge looked at him. She approached and cooed as she patted his head. She made you open his mouth to show his bite before he proceeded to touch his front, topline (back), and angulations. She made you gait horizontally and to go back so that she could see his front and back gait. When you finished, you did another run around the ring and ended up behind Taeyong's dog.
"Chim's in great condition, (Y/N). Won't be long til he finishes." You smiled politely. It wasn't that you didn't like him, it was just that Chim would act up whenever you interacted with other males.
He was clingier than your ex.
He was called by the judge, seeing that Mark was done with his run. You quickly stacked Chim, he looked better when you stacked him yourself.
The assistant handed the judge the ribbons, and after one last run, she handed you the ribbon for first place. You thanked her before you were ushered by the assistant to go to the line up again.
Jungkook soon jogged inside the ring with his entry. He mouthed you a, "I'm gonna beat your ass." And you replied with a, "You wish."
The both of you got busy with stalking your dogs. You took a look at his Golden earlier, you knew that Chim moved better and had a better head.
The judge, thankfully, looked at your dogs before she asked you to gait around the ring. After two rounds, she brought out the Best Dog ribbon.
Then she handed you the ribbon.
A wide grin spread across your face as you shook her hand and happily jogged out the ring. Giving Chim a hug and a lot of petting the moment that you get out.
"Hey, you still have to run for Best of Breed." You looked up to see Jungkook who gave you a smile. "Congrats, (Y/N)." You stood up and thanked him.
"I couldn't help it." You nearly jumped for joy. "Chim is now officially, Grand Champion Bangtan's You Got No Jams."
A/N - WOOHOO! I've been wanting to write this forever. Anyways, here are the terminologies:
Freestack - To naturally make your dog pose using bait.
Winners Dog - The dog that one in the regular class, will compete against the Special Dog winner for Best Dog.
Gait - The movement of the dog as it trots.
Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Chapter Text
After competing with the Best Bitch (Yes this is really a title), you and Chim managed to get your hands on the Best of Breed, a Group 1 and a Best in Show. It was the first time for both you and Chim to earn the highest title that one can get.
Your Golden Retriever held the dark blue rosette in his mouth as the both of you ran around the ring proudly. People cheered the both of you on and every once in awhile, you could hear the cameras clicked whenever you passed by them.
"Good job, Chim!" You tightly hugged him after leaving the ring. Congratulatory statements flooded the both of you, pats on the back, and hugs from those close to you.
"Can't say I'm not jealous," Came Jungkook's voice before he friendly hugged you, "Congratulations!" He bent down in front of Chim who was happily wagging his tail with the rosette still in his mouth, "Good job, buddy."
Jungkook was the only male that Chim actually tolerated, besides judges of course, he knew that he had to act 'polite' in front of them. You smiled and scratched his ear the moment that Jungkook was done petting and praising him.
"What about we go out with the rest of the gang later." He suggested as the two of you made your way to your set up area. It was time to pack up and go home. It was a tiring day after all.
But you couldn't say no to Jungkook's suggestion.
In the dog show, you had your small clique which consisted of other handlers. You, Jungkook, Namjoon and Hoseok made up that small group. Being around the same age as one another, and joining at nearly the same time, the four of you found comfort in one another.
"Sure, I'll just drop Chim back at home," The moment that you said that, you heard Chim whimper as he stared at you with his 'puppy eyes'. "Hey, don't worry Chimmy. I promise when I get home I'll have something for you." You could still see the dismay on the dog's face, you had no idea how that was possible, but it was clearly there.
You loved the dog but you wanted to spend time with your friends too.
After Jungkook had helped you pack up and load everything into the car, you and Chim made your way home. Your house wasn't too far from where they held the show, and fortunately, the traffic wasn't so bad.
You and the guys agreed to meet at 8 pm in one of your favorite food parks. They had the best gyudon on earth and they also had a store that literally was a bakery for dogs. You already called the owner, who happened to be your friend, to make a preorder. He usually didn't allow on the spot orders but you were one of his best customers.
Hence why you often had to take Jimin on runs so that he wouldn't get too fat. It was necessary for him to maintain so that he wouldn't be too heavy on his feet.
You parked the car and decided that you would just unload when you get back home.
Chim stared at you, not wanting to get out of the car the moment that you did.
"Come on, Chim. You have to go inside the house." He didn't budge and just stared at you with a sad expression on his face. You sighed before you continued, "I won't be gone for too long, I promise."
You honestly couldn't believe that you were promising such things to a dog, but it was like he really understood you and jumped off the seat and trotted into the house. A smile found its way to your face as you followed him inside.
"Silly dog."
After you finished feeding Chim, you immediately showered and changed to get rid of all the sweat that accumulated during the show. You didn't want to get teased by Jungkook the entire time so you made sure to scrub yourself properly.
Tired from formal and tight clothes that you had to wear during the show, you decided to go with black baggy pants and a loose fitting v neck. Your feet was also tired from the standing and running around that you've been doing so you went with a pair of red sneakers.
Checking the clock, you cursed when you saw what time it was.
7:49 p.m
You quickly grabbed your purse and ran down the door, "Chim, be a good boy I'll be back home soon!" You made sure that you locked it properly before hopping into the car and began to drive.
The place was a twenty minute drive from where you lived and you already knew that you would be late.
"How can you be so early when it comes to dog shows but when it comes to your friends you're always the last to arrive?" You heard Jungkook's voice the moment that you stepped into the vicinity, you instantly spotted the three of them the moment that you walked in.
"And what the hell happened to your hair?" Namjoon piped in after he took a sip from his drink. It was coke. Beside him was Hobi who was drinking sprite.
"You know, I was expecting that you were going to be a bit more meticulous with your hair." You pulled a seat and slumped down beside Jungkook. "I mean, remember the time that I tried to pet Chim then you got so upset?" You could see the red haired male flinch at his own words.
You did remember that time and you remember waving your scissors in the air as you explained to him that it took you an hour just to get Chim's hair the way that it was.
"I was going to be even more late even if I used Chim's blow dryer." You then turned to Jungkook. "Oh, Kooks, I was meaning to ask why you didn't show Vee today?"
Jungkook had a Cocker Spaniel that would often go against Chim whenever they would compete for the group title. You had to admit that Vee was one nice looking dog, you wouldn't be surprised if he and Jungkook manage to score #1 Sporting Dog for that year.
Jungkook sighed and took a sip from the ice coffee that you just noticed. You took it from him and took a sip as well, he only rolled his eyes at you before answering.
"He accidentally managed to knock the pancake syrup on himself when he jumped on the counter. He ended up pulling the tablecloth and the syrup landed on him this morning." You clicked your tongue and returned his drink which was half-finished. He looked at it and glared at you, you shrugged your shoulders.
"That's unfortunate." You then noticed the curious stares both Hobi and Namjoon were giving you, "What?" You pouted, you already had an idea of what they were going to say.
"I'm not surprised that a lot of people mistake you two as a couple." You only rolled your eyes and you were pretty sure that Jungkook did the same thing. How many times have you heard this line before?
Hobi hummed before running a hand through his red hair, "You too are adorable together."
You couldn't help but express disgust the moment that you heard those words.
"I know that I am cute, I'm not so sure about Jungkook, though." Before he could snap back at you, you quickly changed the topic. "How did things go with Suga, Hobi?" You asked him and saw a cheerful look on his face.
You were particularly fond of Suga, you found Corgis adorable but everytime you would try to play with him, Chim would start howling.
"He was responsive today!" He cheered and you couldn't help but smile at his childish actions, his happiness was contagious. "I thought that he was going to try sleeping on top of the assessment table but I guess he was just in a good mood today." You hummed in response before turning to Namjoon.
You always made it a point to ask about your friends and their dogs, they were what brought you guys together, anyways.
"How was agility today, Joon?" Despite being a dog show handler, Namjoon also participated in agility contests that were held alongside the dog shows. He had a maltese who both liked to show and do agility.
"He managed to finish his Agility Junior Championship today." He informed you, before all of you could talk more about your pets, you all were momentarily distracted by the food that arrived on your table.
You cheered upon seeing your favorite dish, you were about to grab it when Jungkook pulled it away.
"Hey!" You tried to reach for it, the struggle was real seeing that not only was he taller than you sitting down, he also had longer arms.
"Who said this was yours?" He teased, sticking his tongue out at you. You rolled your eyes and grabbed his lamb skewers. You knew that he wasn't really fond of (fave/food).
"Guess I'll have this instead," You said as you were about to take a bite out of it but he quickly switched it back with what you wanted. Even if he did try to steal it from you, you knew that it had been him who ordered it.
"Oh, (Y/N), have you told your parents about your results today?"
Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Chapter Text
You ended up poking at your food the moment that Namjoon asked the question. Jungkook shot the eldest an inquisitive look before he turned back to you with concern.
Your parents, your family, has always been a sensitive topic. You tried your best to avoid bringing them up, but sometimes would end up slipping and you’d somehow end up answering their question.
Eversince you graduated a course that you were forced to take, you told them that you were moving out and that you would pursue dog handling. They were absolutely disappointed when you didn’t take on the family business.
During the years that you studied, you actually worked in the food park at the dog cafe. Because of that, your interest in dogs had greatly increased and you met a couple of show exhibitors.
There were times that you would secretly sneak out to watch dog shows, and with that, you learned and made it your goal.
Only Jungkook knew about that though. Namjoon and Hobi only knew that you weren’t that close with your parents but you never told them the reason why.
“I haven’t told them yet. It’s late so I’ll them tomorrow.” You gave him a sweet smile to match his dimpled smile. Before he could push on with that topic, you changed it.
“Oh, by the way,” You began, managing to gain everyone’s attention. “Don’t worry about having to spend tonight. I’m treating you guys since Chim and I achieved something really great today.”
Their faces lit up and one by one they thanked you.
“Thanks, (Y/N)!” Hobi cheered once again after standing up to hug you. You hugged back and Namjoon was next.
“Well, you don’t have to but it you insist.” You chuckled and turned to Jungkook, who had a conflicted look on his face.
“What’s up with you?” You asked him, a bit curious of what was going through his head.
“I should have ordered more.” You rolled your eyes and smacked his arm causing him to flinch and rub it as to ease the pain.
“You’ll only get fat if you do.” He was about to protest but you shoved a piece of his lamb skewer into his mouth to shut him up. The other two across you guys only laughed at the exchange.
In the middle of your conversation, your phone lit up to indicate that you received a text. You smiled at your lockscreen which was a picture of Chim sticking his tongue out after a long day spent playing with him. Unlocking your phone, you couldn’t help but grin at the message.
From: Mingyu
Message: Just wanted to let you know that your order is ready.
You quickly typed back a response seeing that your companions were laughing at a joke that you weren’t really paying attention to.
To: Mingyu
Message: I’ll be there in a bit! Sorry about the trouble.
Not even a second later, you managed to get a reply.
From Mingyu: No problem. Just leave Chim at my place the next time you visit. That alone would suffice.
You couldn’t help but chuckle lowly at the reply. You doubt that Chim would tolerate you leaving him in another person’s house. Leaving him alone at your house was already hard enough.
“Are you texting, Chim?” Jungkook asked then you noticed that he was looking over your shoulder. You rolled your eyes and hit him playfully.
“Hey, no snooping,” you scolded him before standing up, “I’ll be back. I just have to pick something up.” They only hummed their replies before continuing with their conversation. Satisfied, you walked towards the other side of the food park and came across the familiar bakery.
“Mingyu!” You practically skipped over to the man who was busy prepping ingredients. He looked over his shoulder and gave you a smile. Washing his hands, he made his way over to you with a brown paper bag.
“Congrats, (Y/N)!” He grinned the moment that you handed him the money and you got the bag from him. “I put a little extra for Chim.”
You and Mingyu have been friend for the longest time but with the business he ran, he rarely had time to hangout with you.
“If your parents aren’t proud yet,” He began, eyes tightly shut the moment that he grinned, “then I wouldn’t know what else you could do.” You only chuckled. He knew about the conflict between you and your parents.
But somehow he’d try to make things seem better for you.
“Thanks again, Mingyu! I’ll head back now.” You waved bye which he did too and made your way back to the table where your friends sat.
Namjoon whistled lowly the moment that he saw the paper bag, he was familiar with the pawprint logo, “Chim is one lucky dog.” Hobi nodded in agreement and Jungkook grabbed the bag and peered inside.
You didn’t bother to scold him because he was just looking anyways.
“Oh,” His expression exaggerated as he handed you back the bag. “Vee loves that flavor.”
“So, (Y/N)?” Namjoon began as you took a sip from yo- Jungkook’s iced coffee. “With Chim’s Grand Championship Quest done, do you plan on taking on other clients?”
You continued to sip as your eyebrows furrowed in thought. As a handler, and one that’s been winning often, you got a lot of emails and texts from people who wanted you to handle their dogs. Your source of income has always been through grooming and training for shows but you never really handled other dogs besides Chim.
You did it for fun, but being a handler would bring you more income. With all the expenses that you were trying to balance, you knew that you needed a larger source.
“Maybe I will.” You considered, Namjoon nodded in approval. He always pestered you about it and you knew that it was only because he saw potential.
The rest of the night went on with you talking and laughing at one another. The question about your parents had been tugging at the back of your mind.
“Chim, I’m home!” You called out as you slipped out of your shoes and pushed the door with your feet. It automatically locked, you still had the brown paper bags in your hands as you fumbled to hang the car keys by the shelf.
The pattering of feet could greatly be heard through your small house. There you saw your precious Golden Retriever running into the room and barked the moment he saw you. You tried to hide the paper bag behind you but you knew that he already saw it.
Thus his tail wags nearly knocked over a lamp.
“Hey, Chim, calm down,” you chuckled as he tried to circle you to reach for the paper bag. “I’ll give it to you, let’s head to the kitchen so we don’t make a mess.”
You swore that the dog was too damn smart for his own good. He ran towards the kitchen, tail still wagging in excitement as you shortly followed.
Finishing Grand was a big thing for both of you because the competition nowadays was getting fierce. You knew that Chim was beautiful and nearly perfectly adhered to the standards.
But he was a bit short.
You took the box out of the paper bag and placed it over the counter. Chim tried to stand on his two feet and you felt him place his two paws at your lower back. Nearly pushing you against the counter.
You ignored him and grabbed his bowl to transfer the cake into his feeding bowl. It was shaped like a paw and decorated with pastel yellow and blue. With words written in brown that spelled, ‘Congratulations, ChimChim!’
Although you knew he couldn’t read, Mingyu’s gesture was something that you found cute. You picked it up with your hands and told him to get down.
“Aish, Chim, you’re getting heavier.” You swore that you heard him whimper but chose to ignore it. Looking at his big brown eyes, you chuckled and scratched the underneath of his chin.
“Here you go.” He then began to eat the cake as if he didn’t have extra dinner earlier. Chim was a picky eater, so instead of dog food, you always fed him boiled chicken.
He was spoiled. But you didn’t mind, because he to you he we important.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket snapping you from your thoughts. In haste, you picked it up and you nearly paled at the caller ID.
“Hello?” You spoke into your phone, Chim stopped what he was doing to look at you before he proceeded to eat again. You walked out into the living room and stood in front of the window.
“I heard of your results,” You couldn’t help but feel a jolt of hope in your heart as your eyes widened in surprise, “Now, don’t think that I’m going to congratulate you.” Your heart sank upon hearing those words.
“Oh, then maybe I should just hang-“ Before you could continue what you were saying another voice chimed in. You realized that the other people in the line were on speaker mode.
“Don’t you dare disrespect us, (Y/N), we didn’t raise you that way.” You silently sighed and remained quiet, waiting for what else they had to say.
“If you’re just going to force me to come back, I won’t.” You tried to hold back the tears as your voice threatened to crack. “I don’t care if you get disappointed, I don’t-“
“You have disappointed us more than once already.” The male’s voice interrupted you and continued. “After all the hardwork we did into shaping you to the person who you are, this is what you do to us?”
You remained silent, not finding the words to say as your hand clutched your phone tightly. You were surprised that it didn’t crack yet.
“You finished your dog, that was your goal right? Now come back ho-“
“No!” Tears were now streaming down your face as memories of your past flashed in your head. “No matter what you say, you won’t convince me to go back. No matter what you do. I’m staying, and I’m going to work as a professional handler now. I’m going to take in clients and you can’t stop me!” You panted before you bite your lip. “Just let me do what I want to, for once.”
You only heard the other line being cut off before you slumped on your couch and tightly hugged a pillow. You don’t know how long you were crying, but you poured your tears out until your eyes began to sting and feel heavy.
Eventually, you got lulled into the arms of sleep. Barely noticing the weight that shifted the couch and the warmth the tickled your body.
Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Chapter Text
You were slowly being roused from your sleeping state as the sunrays shyly entered through the barely open blinds. A yawn escaped your mouth as you tried to rub your eyes to drive away the drowsiness. You felt something heavy crushing your legs and waist, you felt that area go numb.
“Chim, why are you heavier?” Your eyes were barely opened as you reached down for his head which was angled at your waist, you could feel the warmth of his breath against your shirt. You didn’t get to change when you got home yesterday.
You lazily rubbed his hair to wake him up.
‘Why does your fur feel different? Is it the new shampoo I used?’ Your hand began to travel down to feel the rest of his fur but instead, you were met with something soft yet firm.
“Skin?” Your eyes were fully opened now as you peered down at the sleeping figure.
Instead of a snout and fluffy ears, you were met with an impossibly angelic face. Pure and innocent, eyes were peacefully closed to show the lashes that were carefully placed against soft cheeks, whose fairness had matched the rest of the skin on his face. A nose that looked like it had been carefully sculpted and full lips that were naturally pink.
You blinked once. Twice. Rubbing your eyes trying to get rid of the illusion in front of you.
But he didn’t go away.
Then he moved, wrapping his muscular arms around your leg as he buried his face against the curve of your waist.
“Who the fuck are you?!” You managed to kick him off, causing the unknown figure to fall on the floor with a loud thud. You nearly shrieked the moment that you realized something.
He was naked.
The nude man began to stir awake, rubbing his soft blonde hair as he struggled to get up.
“Oh my gosh you creep, how the hell did you get in here?!” You grabbed the nearest thing to you, which was a pillow, you had no idea how you were going to defend yourself but you were going to try anyways.
No matter how devilishly handsome the man was, your eyes remained trained on his face which contorted to an expression of pain. His eyes slowly opened to reveal ochre-colored eyes.
You were confused, they were the same brown-eyes that Chim had. Your own eyes widened.
‘It can’t fucking be...’ Your thought trailed off the moment that he tried to sit up, you gulped, not really knowing what to do or what to say.
‘I should call the police.’ You were about to reach for your phone, not bothering taking your eyes off the stranger. You cursed when your phone was dead.
‘I know, I’ll call Chim.’ You thought before looking around, he was nowhere in sight.
“Chim!” You screamed as loud as you could, you couldn’t help but think of how much of a useless guard dog he was. You swore, he would welcome any stranger and show thieves where their belongings were.
You didn’t earn a response, instead, the stranger tilted his head at you.
“Chim!” You screamed again, beginning to panic. ‘What if the damn stranger did something to him?’
“Why are you screaming so loud? I’m right here?” You blinked. And he blinked as well. The two of you stared at each other in confusion before you screamed. You scrambled to get off the couch and threw a pillow at him.
You had no idea why you were running but the man just claimed to be your dog. If that wasn’t a reason to make a run for it, you didn’t know what else would be. You ran towards your room, you knew that you kept something there to protect you.
Your heart rate quickened rapidly the moment that you heard feet thumping behind you.
“Hey! Wait up! Why’d you run? Is there a thief in the house?” The voice wasn’t as deep as you expected. You could hear the panic in the honeyed voice. You were tempted to look back but kept running.
That was until you landed on the floor with a loud thud. You used your arm to protect your face from plummeting to the floor. Struggling to get up, you couldn’t because of the heavy figure that had tackled you from behind.
“Get the hell off me!” You struggled to push the figure away but he was much stronger. You tried kicking and flailing around, but it was all to no avail.
He buried his face at the back of your neck and before you could scream, his barely audible words nearly made you faint.
“It’s me, Noona. I’m Chimmy, don’t you love me anymore?”
The person claiming to be Chim, let you go the moment that you somewhat calmed down. Of course you were still freaked, your dog was missing and there was a stranger in your house but you were beginning to see the resemblance.
The man’s hair had the same hair color as your precious dog, the same brown eyes that gleamed under the weak morning sunlight.
He was also undeniably beautiful. Even more handsome than Jungkook (you never would tell him personally that he was because you knew that his ego would inflate). You had no idea that someone could be beautiful and handsome at the same time, feminine yet masculine.
After grabbing a few clothes for him to put on, you decided to use the ones that Jungkook had left after you, him, and the rest of the gang pulled an all nighter at your place. You also had a pair of clean boxers because you would use them whenever you were at home.
You couldn’t have a naked man, roaming around your house after all.
He was dressed in a black sweater that was a bit oversized. You took note that he was a bit smaller and shorter than your rival but he was still taller than you. His pants were also black and had fit him perfectly showing of his muscular legs.
If you weren’t in the situation that you were currently in, you were sure that you would be drooling at the sight of him.
But he was claiming to be your dog.
“So you mean to say,” You began, shattering the awkward silence that the two of you previously drowned in. He didn’t seem too bothered by it as his eyes were trained on the bag of treats that were on the counter. “That you’re my dog? You’re Chim?” A pout began to form on his lips as his attention averted back to you.
“How many times are you gonna ask that?” His voice was sad and you could see his lip tremble as he spoke. You bit the inner of your lower lip in guilt. Then you realized that he was a human, doing the puppy eyes.
You were slowly becoming convinced.
“How the heck are you human?” You asked as your eyebrows furrowed in frustration. “When did you become human?” He merely shrugged before using his arm to support his face on the table. His elbows were plopped on the glass table and his hands cupped his face.
“I just remember feeling really weird when we were sleeping on the couch then I became cold all of the sudden.” He began his explanation as you listened attentively, “but I fell asleep afterwards then I woke up when you pushed me off the couch.”
A sigh escaped your lips, his words didn’t make any sense but your house was locked, your dog was missing, and the man in front of you seem to resemble you. It would be impossible for someone to come in without someone noticing. Chim always barked happily at visitors and would knock stuff over.
So the probability that the man is your dog is quite high.
But it didn’t make any sense.
You were snapped from your thoughts when a whimper escaped the other’s lips. You looked at him and saw the look of discomfort that he had on his face.
“What’s wrong?” You asked him, deciding to drop the name as you still couldn’t bring yourself to call him that.
“I’m hungry, Noona.”
“What do you feed a dog turned human?” You couldn’t help but ponder as you stared at the stove in front of you. An array of ingredients were on the counter as you remained deep in thought.
You couldn’t just feed him boiled chicken, right?
With a sigh, you gave in and decided to just make what you would usually make for yourself during the mornings.
You began to make the rice, you had to make extra because you figured that since Chim had a big appetite as a dog, it would probably be the same since he’s human. In another frying pan, you made eggs and to top the rice with. You made some galbi and prepared some soup to go with the food.
After a few minutes, you were ready with everything and set the table. You couldn’t help but realize how weird it was that you were now making the table for two people instead of one.
It somewhat was a positive change.
You walked into the living room and looked around, it was awfully quiet. You were growing to be suspicious, and the absence of your do- human, was only adding to it.
A quiet house equals to a dog trying to hide from its owner because it did stupid shit. A loud crash could be heard from upstairs and you could only sigh.
That man definitely was your dog.
Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Chapter Text
After you managed to clean up the the magazines and books that fell over the dog/human who was cowering in the corner, the two of you were about to have breakfast.
Chim only stared at the plates in front of him but you could definitely see the hunger in his eyes. You picked up a chopstick and waited for him to pick up his own pair.
'He probably doesn't know how to use it,' You nearly facepalmed at the realization.
"Here, Chim, like this." You scooted your seat nearer to him and he nearly flinched when you took his hand and guided his hand to properly hold the utensils. His grip was still awkward but it would have to do.
"It's so hard," He whined noisily as he tried to pick up a vegetable but it was constantly slipping. You could only giggle at his sad attempts before you stood up and walked over towards the cupboard.
Fortunately, you kept sets of spoons and forks. You didn't eat at home often, or had meals that would require them, but you still had them just in case.
You were glad that you did.
You tiptoed, after opening the cupboard and tried to reach for the plastic cup where you placed the utensils. You huffed and eventually got a hold of it, held it down and got a spoon and a fork. You tiptoed again and returned it and when you spun around, you nearly dropped the utensils.
Chim had his head and used his mouth to directly eat from the bowl. You rushed over to him and pulled him back, he had already made a mess on his cheeks, the food sticking to them as he stared at you.
"Oh my god," You began as you wiped the food away with a tissue. "You can't do that anymore." You reminded him. The thought of him doing that in public sent shivers down your spine.
He pouted, looking at you as you focused on getting rid of the dirt that stuck to him. "But I was so hungry, Noona." You wanted to roll your eyes but he was being to adorable. You were about done and you pulled away, he was still looking at you with a sad look.
"What's wrong?" You asked after tossing away the tissue and walked back to the table with the spoon and fork. Chim held a downcast glance at the food and you could see that his fingers had curled into a fist.
"I... I made Noona upset so many times today... What if Noona doesn't love me anymore?" You swear that your heart nearly broke at his words.
You smiled sweetly at the moping blonde, "Hey," you managed to earn his attention as he looked at you with solemn eyes. He was using the puppy eyes again and you hate to admit.
It was working.
"I'm not upset, okay?" You began, thinking carefully of the words that you were going to use, you knew that human Chim was a sensitive person, and the two of you have only been talking for two hours or so. "I'm just stressed out with everything that's happening. I mean, yesterday you were a dog, and now..." You were afraid that the next words were going to offend him, he stared at you with wide eyes. "You're human."
"Do you still love me?" You were nearly taken aback by his question but you hid it with a grin.
"Of course."
He was still the same Chim after all.
Or you hoped so.
After you managed to explain to Chim why he couldn't just eat the way he used to, and after you cleaned up (he offered to help but licking the plates but you shooed him away to the living room), the two of you sat on the couch slightly facing each other.
"Okay..." You began, you were already thinking of possible situations that may happen and you wanted Chim to be ready for whatever was going to happen. He was busy playing with the seams of his pants and staring at his feet. You were torn between cooing at him and rolling your eyes.
"Your name is Park Jimin, you're a friend of mine from Busan who is temporarily moving here to assist me at the shows because you want to learn more about... uh... dogs." You realized how awkward that must have been since he is a dog, and he probably knows more than you about his own kind. Or, what he was.
The blonde only nodded along with a curious look on his face. He was attentive and you were thankful for that.
"What's your name again?" You asked to see if he really was paying attention.
"Park Jimin." You could see him trying to get used to the feel of it.
You were too, but you couldn't exactly call him Chim in public in front of people who knew about your dog.
"Thank god you finished your grand championship before you turned into a human." It would have been hard for you to explain Chim's absence in the shows, you were actively campaigning after all. Chim seemed to understand what you meant.
You were still trying to think of other possible details and things to teach him, you couldn't just leave him completely unaware. If he tried to say that he was a dog, people would think that he was crazy.
"Noona," He called out before you acknowledged him.
"Yes?" You answered back.
"Are we going out for walkies today?" You pursed your lips at what he said and thought deeply. You weren't exactly ready to bring him outside, but you looked back at him and saw the clothes that he was wearing.
He needs a new set of clothes.
"Yes, in fact, we'll be going to the mall today." The blonde nearly bounced from his seat upon hearing the word mall. The two of you would only go to the mall to buy treats and toys so the good memory of that probably stuck with him.
Too bad it wasn't toys and treats you were going to buy.
"Let's-" before you could even finish with what you were saying, Jimin bolted from his seat and out the door. A soft chuckle escape you as you followed, getting your car keys from its hook, your purse which contained your phone and your wallet.
"Noona, this one is itchy." You sighed after hearing him from the other side of the dressing room. You also wondered why he insisted on calling you Noona, technically, the two of you would be the same age if you converted his age. You dismissed it before gently knocking on the door.
"Let me see it, Chi-Jimin." You were still getting used to his name, and often made mistakes every now and then. The door clicked indicating that it had been unlocked. You pulled it open and nearly fainted at the sight.
Jimin stood in front of you topless, and the pants that he wore fit him better than the one that they came in. His muscles bulged underneath the cloth but you could see the pout that had formed on his face. He was about to pull them down but you rushed to him and stopped him.
"Wait wait wait! Don't take them off while I'm here!" You pulled his hands away from the waistband of his pants. Jimin stared at you curiously before he asked.
"Why not? You always saw me naked before." You blushed furiously at the thought of that.
"Aish, just listen to me, okay?" You were still blushing, and you pulled a shirt from the basket that you were holding, averting your eyes from his muscular yet lean form. "Things are different now, put this on. I'll get you a better pair of pants." He nodded before you left the basket on the floor and walked out.
When the both of you arrived at the mall earlier, your do- companion, managed to attract a lot of attention. You were thankful that he wasn't as outgoing as when he was a dog and would stick to you and shy away from the other people. You were aware that mostly girls looked at him, batting their eyelashes and whispering among themselves.
'They wouldn't be this attracted to him if they knew what he really is.' You couldn't help but chuckle at the thought.
You went through the different choices of pants that were available and found one that seemed softer and wouldn't be as itchy. You got a few pairs in different colors, as well as some shorts that he could use when the two of you were inside or outside the house.
You made your way back to the dressing room and knocked on the door while carrying the clothes that you were going to let him try. The door cracked open, but before you could walk inside, a voice had earned your attention.
"(Y/N)? What are you doing here?"
Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Chapter Text
You swallowed the lump in your throat as your eyes met with a certain rival’s. He had an inquisitive look on his face. Your eyes darted from the clothes you were holding, to him, to the dressing room, and back at him.
“Hi, Kooks-“ Before you could continue, he cut you off.
“Are you here with someone?” He asked. You bit your lower lip, there was no point in lying anymore, right?
Well, you were going to lie anyways.
“Yeah, I’m here with someone,” you paused for a while to think of what to say next. “My friend is asking for help regarding his… clothes.” You then quickly switched to him. “What about you? Didn’t you just buy clothes last time?” You were with him the last time he bought clothes. He practically had to drag you out the house cause you weren’t exactly fond of going to the mall.
Jungkook looked at you curiously, given the fact that you didn’t like shopping and you were here, but he dismissed it.
“I’m here with a friend, too. He came from Busan and forgot to bring clothes with him.” His answer seemed to be suspicious and you wanted to ask, but you knew you were pretty suspicious as well.
So you kept quiet.
The two of you agreed to head to the fitting rooms, since you were both done picking clothes for your ‘friends’. You walked a bit farther down the dressing hall since the room was at the other end.
You shifted the clothes in your hand in order to hold them properly, with your free hand, you knocked on the door.
“Jimin, I’m-“
“Taehyung, where are you?!” Came Jungkook’s voice and before you knew it, the door opened and something came crashing into you. Consequently, you landed on the floor.
With a half naked man on top of you.
You blinked multiple times before you were able to react. You struggled to push the brunette of you, his brown eyes gazing into yours.
“(Y/N)!” As you were halfway through succceeding pushing the stranger off. The stranger called your name and immediately embranced you. You felt the blood rush to your cheeks as your body collided with the bare one. You pushed, trying to pull the stranger away.
“Taehyung!” You heard Jungkook’s voice as he pried the figure away from you. You could finally breathe again as the man named Taehyung was pulled away from you. A disappointed look was on Jungkook’s face.
“What did I tell you?” He glared, you couldn’t help but feel curious as you finally noticed Jimin nearing you. A scowl was on his face.
He helped you stand up and you muttered a thanks before turning to your rival and the stranger who had a sad look on his face.
“Sorry, (Y/N), he gets a bit too excited.” You only nodded before you began to pick up the clothes that were sprawled on the floor.
‘How did he know my name though?’
After fitting all the clothes and cashing out at the cashier. You and Jimin were about to walk out the store.
Then you noticed how quiet he was. He barely said a word to you as he gazed down on his new shoes.
“Jimin?” You called out at the taller figure. He barely acknowledged you and you grabbed his arm. “What’s wrong?” He only shook his head.
He was carrying one of the bags as you carried another. The two of you walked in silence before it hit you.
‘Chim was always a jealous dog, would that apply too if he’s human now?’ You knew that the only solution to that was to show affection towards him. You gulped, conflicted with what to do.
You weren’t exactly a fan of PDA.
‘But he’s still Chim, right? There’s no malice in this.’ You sighed before you summoned the courage.
With your free hand, you took his into yours. He looked at you with wide eyes as you gave him a small smile.
“Now, now, Jimin. No need to be jealous.” Deep inside, you worried that he would be jealous with every single human that you knew. It would cause a lot of problems.
“I just…” He paused for awhile as he refused to look at you. His lower lip stuck out making him look cute.
‘Wait, no (Y/N). Chim was cute as a dog.’ You mentally scolded yourself. He continued.
“I don’t like it when others touch you.” He mumbled shyly. You only chuckled before squeezing his hand.
“Other people would pet you before when you were a dog,” You made sure no one was around when you said that, the two of you were now enroute to the parking lot. “Did you see me complain when you liked the attention?” You tried to make the idea of interaction a little less of a bad thing to him.
He continued to glance at the ground before he faced you, a serious look was in his eyes and before you knew it, he pulled you into his arms. You nearly dropped the paper bag that you were holding.
You felt a warmth breath against your ear sending shivers down your spine, instead of pushing him away, you found yourself paralyzed.’
“But you’re mine, Noona.”
With that moment, you knew things weren’t going to end well.
You sighed and gently pushed him away and grabbed his arm, “Jimin, you can’t just say that in public, okay?” His voice was modulated when he claimed that you were his but you could never be too careful.
He only pouted and gave you the famous puppy eyes that you always fell for. You tried to look away but you heard a sniffle. Your eyes widened as you looked back at him, his eyes appeared to be shiny as they expressed the sadness that he felt.
You sighed for the nth time that day.
“Fine, you can say that when we’re at home.” He cheered and you rolled your eyes. It was only so that he wouldn’t be acting up again and be having tantrums.
Just about you were going to step into your car, Jimin was already fastened in. (You had to teach him how to put on the seatbelt after you watched him fumbling around with the buckle.)
“(Y/N)!” A voice from the distance had halted you in your steps, you spun around to see Namjoon coming over from the distance. He had a paper bag which he carried with one hand, his other hand he used to wave in the air to call you attention.
Why were you running into all your friends, today?
“Oppa!” You teased him, you only called him that whenever you wanted to make fun of him. As he approached, you could see that he rolled his eye in annoyance.
“Just in time, I needed to talk to you,” He began before his eyes travelled to where Jimin was sitting. Jimin’s eyebrows had been furrowed in annoyance and you knew that he was going through another jealousy phase. You held back your sigh.
“You’re boyfriend?” You immediately smacked his arm causing him to yelp and drop the paper bag that he was holding.
“Of course not!” You denied, Namjoon groaned and began to pick up his paper bag, “He’s just a friend visiting from Busan.”
As you explained, you could see that Namjoon was carefully observing Jimin. He had a suspicious and knowing look on his face, you swallowed the lump that was in your throat.
“You still hit hard, (Y/N). There’s something important that I need to tell you though.” You were curious about what he was going to say.
“Noona~!” Someone’s whining from inside the car had distracted you both. “I’m hungry.” You couldn’t hold back your sigh this time as you gave your friend a guilty look.
“Namjoon, I’ll visit your house before dinner, would you be free by then?” You asked, hoping that you did not offend your friend. Namjoon nodded in understanding, giving you a small smile which still exposed his dimples.
“No problem, you could have dinner there too, as well.” He paused, taking one last glance at Jimin before turning back to you, “You could take your friend with you. I think that it would be perfect timing.”
You were bewildered by his words but chose not to question him further. Instead, you nodded in agreement before the two of you parted ways. As you entered your car, you saw that Jimin was curiously poking at the buttons in front of you.
You felt like you were taking care of a puppy all over again, and you knew that regardless of how careful you were, you would get in trouble.
Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Chapter Text
You and Jimin managed to make it home in one piece, after multiple times of scolding him not to stick his head out of the window or trying to bark at every squirrel that he sees.
With a sigh, you lugged the heavy bags into the house, keeping an eye on the blonde as he trailed behind you munching on a cookie that you were saving for later. You lazily dumped the items beside the coffee table.
It was still too early to head to Namjoon's place. He said to be there by dinner and the two of you still had an hour and a half left.
"Chim, I'll leave the TV open, do you want something to eat?" You asked him as he sprawled on the couch still nibbling on the cookie that you gave him.
"I'm alright, Noona. I wanna watch the cooking show again." You chuckled lightly before grabbing the remote and switching the TV on. Even when Jimin was a dog, he loved watching Food Network. Occasionally, the two of you would watch movies but he would often fall asleep on your lap.
The moment that his eyes remained glued on the TV, you made your way towards the kitchen. A cup of tea would be nice and would help you forget about Namjoon's anxiousness earlier. As you were reaching for your favorite mug, you noticed the brown paper bag that encased the cake that you bought for chim.
You grabbed it and noticed an extra box inside, curiously, you took it out and saw that the cartoon had been chewed out and inside were remnants of cream that previously decorated the treat.
"This must have been the extra cupcakes that Mingyu was talking about." You inspected the pastel pink and yellow cream that got mushed up in the box before throwing it away.
Chim probably got to it before she could put them away.
After preparing your tea, you made your way over to the table adjacent to the living room, where Jimin was currently watching TV. You needed to check your inbox anyways, it was time for you start accepting other clients.
You didn't have a dog to show anymore, anyways.
You waited for the swirls on your laptop to disappear, indicating that it was already booted up. The familiar photo of you and Chim (as dog) appeared with different icons that were on the desktop. You couldn't help but sigh and look at dog turned human laying on the couch before opening a browser and checking your email.
You blinked the moment that you saw that the day right after you finished Chim's grand championship title, a bunch of people had sent you emails as requests to train their dogs, some were congratulatory messages which you quickly replied a thanks to.
"I should probably note down the training schedule." You said aloud before grabbing a planner and jolting down who you would be training for that specific day and time.
After accepting around 5 clients that you would be training with each an hour for three days and plotting them in your calendar, you failed to notice the shadow that loomed behind you as you wrote.
"Noona? What's that?" You nearly jumped out of your seat when you heard Jimin behind you. You glanced up to see him looking with a curious look on his face before he plopped down on the seat beside you.
"I'm taking on clients to train now, Jimin." You answered before sending the last acceptance email.
"Clients?" He repeated, tilting his head to the side which he always did as a dog. You nodded and closed the laptop.
"Yeah, for dog shows." You saw how his eyes widened and how his lips slightly went ajar. "I can't exactly train you anymore, Jimin." A sheepish smile appeared on your face before you scratched the back of your neck.
Jimin stayed silent for awhile and you couldn't help but feel anxious at what he was going to say. You had already had the idea of what was going through his head.
"Does that mean you're going to be with other dogs?" He innocently asked, you couldn't help but bite your lower lip in guilt as his eyes gazed into yours. You sighed and nodded.
This caused the frown on Jimin's face to deepen. Your eyes widened and you struggled to say something before he could react.
"Don't worry, Chim, you're still my favorite do- ehr... Human." You corrected yourself as you used your fingers to slightly turn the corners of his lips upward. "Don't frown, you're gonna look old." You joked, attempting to cheer him up and change the topic.
Before you could react, you felt a pair of strong arms tighten themselves around you, and you couldn't help but melt into the embrace and return it with your own.
"You're mine, Noona." He sweetly repeated and you only chuckled.
"Yup, I'm yours, Jimin." You said, there was no malice anyways.
The drive to Namjoon's place was quiet, and thankfully, Jimin chose not to stick his head out the window. Instead, his sight remained focus on the road.
The moment that you arrived inside Namjoon's place, Jimin clutched your hand as you led the way.
Crash!
The both of you flinched and you felt Jimin bury his head behind you, you forced yourself to not push him away. Instead, you tried to comfort him by patting his back.
"Don't worry, Ch-Jimin, you know how Joonie gets sometimes, right?" You whispered, not wanting to be heard by your friend who was also the God of Destruction. Jimin timidly nodded before recomposing himself.
You grabbed his hand and led him further inside, you couldn't help but wonder why Namjoon's house was in total disarray. It was messy, but not... this messy. The pillows were scattered on the floor, as well as other clothes and paper cups. His toys were all over the floor.
You bit your lower lip and looked around, what if there was an intruder or a murderer?
You just hoped that it was Namjoon being Namjoon.
Another loud crash came from the kitchen, followed by an annoyed shout which you knew came from your older friend.
"Get down from the damn counter and put on your damned shirt!"
Why did that scene seem oddly familiar and relatable?
You found the courage to walk inside the kitchen, Jimin still silently trailed behind you. The sight in front of you nearly caused you to faint.
A tall and handsome man stood on top of the kitchen counter wearing nothing but a pair of boxers. Revealing his sculpted body and broad shoulders. Standing in front of him was Namjoon who was pointing on the ground whilst holding a blue shirt and a pair of pants.
"(Y/N)!" The unknown man called out the moment that he laid eyes on you, immediately, he sprawled down the counter and was about to head for you. Your eyes widened and before the guy could crash into you, a figure taller than you had blocked you.
You peered to see Jimin blocking the other man from nearing you. A look of disapproval was on his face as he gritted his teeth in annoyance.
"Back off." He coldly said while glaring daggers at the other man, the black-haired stranger had tilted his head to the side curiously.
Your eyes met with black ones that seemed oddly familiar.
"Seokjin! Come back here." Namjoon grabbed the taller male by his ear and dragged him away.
'Seokjin?' Your eyebrows furrowed at the name. They widened upon realization. 'Isn't his maltese named Jinnie?' You suspiciously eyed the two, Namjoon was busy scolding the taller man and managed to put a shirt on him.
Before you could react farther, you noticed the deadly glares that the shortest male had been giving. You sighed and tugged on his arm, at first, he opted to ignore you.
"Jimin," You gently called him which finally merited his attention. He looked at you with a gentle gaze, a complete 360 from his composure earlier.
"Sorry, Noona," He apologized, still staring glances at the taller male who was still being reprimanded by Namjoon.
You sighed gently and reached to pinch his cheek, "It's okay, please don't get so worked up over these things, okay?" You asked him sweetly, before he could reply, another loud crash had echoed throughout the kitchen.
"Damnit, Jin!"
Namjoon managed to get dinner started, the two of you were casually talking as Jimin and 'Seokjin' gave each other hard looks.
You couldn't help but wonder why Namjoon was completely ignoring or leaving out Seokjin. He didn't bother to introduce the tall fella to you.
"(Y/N)," you were snapped back to reality the moment that you heard your name being called. You nodded and gave a small smile in acknowledgment.
"There's something that I need to tell you," You could feel the hesitation in your friend's voice as he said those words. You merely nodded and waited for him to continue. You watched in silence, all of you watched in silence, as Namjoon pulled himself together.
"Seokjin is Jinnie."
Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Chapter Text
Your breath got hitched in your throat as you heard his words. You were about to ask him how it happened but he beat you to speaking.
"And I assume that Jimin is Chim?" Your eyes widened even more, it took a few seconds for you to nod your head to answer his questions.
Namjoon sighed, it seemed to be a mix of relief and worry. He turned to Seokjin and Jimin who were blankly staring at each other.
"Why don't the two of you go watch Food Ne-" Before he could finish his statement, the two men ran out of the kitchen with Jin leading the way towardw the living room.
You coudn't help but wonder if that was such a good idea.
Nonetheless, you turned back to face your friend who had a serious look on his face.
"How do you think this happened, Joonie?" You asked with worry, you weren't too sure if you enjoyed having Chim as human. It was complicating things.
He rubbed his temples before sighing for the nth time that hour. Previous sighs were caused by his maltese turned human as with the latest one.
"I have no idea," You clicked your tongue in agreement. "It doesn't even make any sense!" He shout-whispered, not wanting the two boys in the living room to hear about your dilemma.
"But we have to figure it out and turn them back."
Is that what you really wanted? It would be for best, right?
"We will, hopefully." You paused for awhile before drumming your fingers on the wooden table. "But we have no idea or any leads on where to start." He hummed in agreement busy with his thoughts.
"Ah," He called out to you causing you to look up from the half empty plate. "I believe that we aren't the only ones with this problem." You tilted your head to the side.
'Was he implying that there are other dogs that turned human?' You thought to yourself.
As if he read your thoughts, he answered, "I think Jungkook is having the same problem with Vee." Your eyes widened in surprise.
"I ran into Jungkook earlier." Namjoon inquisitively looked at you. Your thoughts replayed the events of earlier. "He was with someone who acted strangely." You remembered how Taehyung had excitedly callee you out.
Namjoon nodded and whispered something about calling Hoseok later. You were about to stand up to check on Jimin, but a hand on your had stopped you.
Namjoon's dark brown eyes gazed into yours as his face remained taut, lips were in a thin line.
"Don't get too comfortable, (Y/N)."
The two of you made your way to a still messy but empty living room.
"Jimin?" You called out feeling the worry boil in you whilst Namjoon called for Jin. When you didn't earn a response, you felt your blood run cold.
"Joonie, where are they?" You were beginning to panic as you checked the other rooms in the house. Not waiting for a reply, you ran towards the entrance of the house.
The door had been flung wide open.
Namjoon followed behind you, his eyes widening as well as he slammed his hand against the wall beside him.
"Fuck." He cursed, voicing out your own thoughts. "I forgot to lock the door." You gulped.
Immediately, you grabbed your car keys and gestured for Namjoon to follow you. The two of you began your search for your missing companions.
The sky was beginning to darken as the two of you spent hours looking for your canine turned human companions. Shouting out the window and climbing out the car every now and then.
It was all to no avail.
You turned your key to rev the engine. You and Namjoon barely said a word to each other, each mind was clouded with worry and fear.
'What if he's hurt?' You pressed on the gas and thought of other places to go to. But you had explored most of the places that Jimin knew about.
"(Y/N)," Your eyes remained focus on the road.
'What if he got kidnapped?' You bit your lower lip in fear and anxiousness.
"(Y/N),"
'What if we don't find-'
"(Y/N)!)" Namjoon's shout had caused you to abruptly step on the breaks causing the both of you to lurch forward.
"What?" You asked, he had successfully pulled you out of your torrent of thoughts. But you couldn't but feel irritated. You pressed on the gas again.
"Maybe it would be best if we call it a day," he suggested, looked at him as if he was crazy. "It's too dark to see anything. And we're not in the right state right now." Your grip on the wheel greatly tightened as you weighed his words.
"You're tired, (Y/N." He gently added, and you couldn't help but feel the heaviness of your eyelids and the soreness of your limbs from running around. Your throat was aching for water after all the shouting and calling out that you did.
Maybe he was right.
You dropped Namjoon home but the entire time, you hoped that you would see your missing companions. You failed to notice the concerned glances that the older man was giving you before he entered the house.
You would go home first, change your clothes, and drink some water. Then you'd go searching again.
You didn't care if it was the middle of the night. You needed to find him.
The moment that you parked your car, your eyes locked with the figure curled up by the door. You slammed the door and rushed towards the blonde who woke up.
"(Y/N)?" You almost screamed with joy but quickly embraced the figure. Tears threatening to spill from your eyes as you buried your face into his shirt. The other was quick to encircle his arms around your body. A few minutes after, you pulled away and punched his shoulder.
"You idiot!" He flinched at the sudden outburst and backed into the door. "What the hell were you thinking? Do you think it was funny to worry us?" Jimin's lower lip trembled as you continued to scold him.
"Where did you even go?" You added, beginning to notice the sad face on the other's face. You were feeling a bit guilty, but you were still upset with him.
"Jin-hyung said that he had something to show me," He began his explanation, hoping that you would listen. "But we ended up getting lost."
You sighed and ran a hand through your hair, you made a mental note to tell Namjoon to scold his own dog. Hopefully, the other managed to get back home.
Your eyes softened as you saw a stray tear leak from the blonde's eye. You approached him and took one of his hands, using your right hand's thumb to wipe away the tear.
"Do you hate me now?" You were a bit stunned at the words that left is mouth. "Are you going to stop loving me?" He added, and your heart melted at his words.
"Jimin-ah," You began, trying to speak as softly as you could as you used your thumb to rub circles on the back of his hand. "I don't hate you, and I still love you very much." You said, seeing a small spark in the other's eye which made you feel a bit better, "But I was really worried. I thought that I was gonna lose you." You admitted, eyes still locked with Jimin's as he listened attentively.
"I'm sorry, Noona," He apologized again, "But I'll always know how to find my way home." He added.
You couldn't help but to crack a small smile on your face. You ruffled his fluffy blonde locks before assisting him to stand.
This wasn't the first time that Jimin got lost. He also got lost as Chim. And til this day, you vividly remember that traumatizing occurrence.
•-•-•
"Chim! Chim!" You ran down the sidewalk, blithely avoiding the pedestrians that gave you strange looks. Your heart was racing faster than you were running. Legs were aching but it was only fear that kept you running.
"(Y/N)! Wait up!" Came Jungkook's voice from behind you as he struggled to catch up with you.
You chose to ignore him and continued to run, head darting from left to right to locate your lost companion. You had accidentally left the door open and he managed to get out.
What if someone took him and you never got him back?
This only fueled you to run faster. Your sprint had been to no avail when you reached the park devoid of people. You slumped down on one of the benches. Ignoring Jungkook who had jogged up next to you and plopped down.
"(Y/N)," He began, you ran your hands through your hair in frustration.
"I fucked up, Kooks," You cut him off which caused the both of you to be engulfed in silence for a few moments. Tears were threatening to spill but you knew that crying wouldn't achieve anything. You rubbed your eyes and stood up.
You were tired, but you had to find him.
"You don't have to come with me, Kooks. Sorry I tired you out." You were about to leave when he grabbed your wrist and pulled himself up.
"Are you stupid? What if you collapse out of fatigue. I'll help you out." A smile crossed your lips when he said those words and you both nodded. You continued with your search, ignoring the ache that your body was starting to feel.
Still, looking for him had been in vain. Jungkook managed to convince you to head home to take a break, the two of you did, although, you didn't go willingly.
You heart nearly jumped from your chest when your eyes came in contact with a dark brown haired man, in his arms was a familiar ball of fluff who had caused you so much pain that day.
You almost completely forgot about Jungkook as you ran towards the front of your house where they had been standing.
"Chimmy!" You screamed and practically stole the puppy from the stranger's arms. You buried your face in his fur, ignoring the itch that you knew would come after.
Realizing that your actions had been rude, you looked up at the towering figure, his dimples greatly showed with his smile.
"Thank you so much," You thanked him, if you cried, you wouldn't be surprised with the joy that you were feeling. "I'm sorry if he caused you trouble." You continued, feeling a bit guilty.
He dismissively waved his hand in the air and offered another dimple-y smile, "No worries. He was wondering around near my place while I was walking my dog." You listened attentively to his explanation. "I'm Namjoon, have you ever considered showing?"
•-•-•
After you got Jimin to get ready for bed and changed him into the new shorts and wifebeater that you bought him earlier.
"Jimin, I'll be in my room if you need anything," You placed the pillows and blankets down on the couch, he wasn't that tall and he fit perfectly even if he stretched his legs. Just as you were about to leave for your room, he grabbed your wrist.
"Noona, can I sleep with you?"
Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Chapter Text
Somehow, Jimin had convinced you to let him share a bed with you. Your bed was big enough to fit two people, but somehow, you felt that it lacked space.
He was curled up next to you, in a fetus like position with his head snuggled by your side. You'd flinch every time that he would try to nuzzle his face by the side of your waist.
You blankly stared at the ceiling as you thought about the occurrences of that day. So much had happened after just one day with the dog turned human.
You turned over at your side, facing the wall instead of the beautiful human laying next to you. You buried your face against the pillow that you had next to you and tightly hugged it.
With that, you tried to sleep, closing your eyes. You felt yourself being slowly lulled to sleep.
Until you felt a pair of arms circle around your waist.
Your eyes widened, wider than before as you peered over your back to see your companion's face buried against your back. You could feel his warm breath against your back.
You tried to move, to pry his hands away, but they tightened even more.
"I like it here..." You heard him mumble, making you swallow the lump in your throat.
This was going to be a long night.
A couple of days had passed since that night and you learned to put a pillow between the two of you whenever you would go to sleep. He gave you curious looks the first time, but didn't seem to mind hugging the pillow instead of you.
You also managed to teach Jimin some of the basic human etiquettes. You were proud to say that he didn't have much trouble catching up and understanding the concepts.
You would have to remind him every once a while and keep an eye.
Like when he would try to like the plate.
Or snarl at the mailman.
It was a Tuesday and you needed to start training one of the clients that had requested for you to train their dogs. Today you had 2 lined up.
10 am you had to train an Australian Shepherd named Felix owned by another exhibitor that you were acquainted with, Changbin. After lunch, you need to meet with Sehun and train his dog Kai. It was going to be a long day for you.
You finished changing into a pair of boyfriend jeans and a plain white shirt, you decided to wear your favorite rubber shoes today so that you wouldn't ache too much from running around. Grabbing your purse, you slung it over your shoulder and proceeded to check if you had everything inside.
You would only need your phone and your wallet for today, along with extra clothes and the treats that you would be using for that day. You didn't have to restock anytime soon since you didn't have Jimin couldn't constantly beg for treats now.
He would constantly beg for chocolate, however.
The moment that you knew that you were all set, you rushed towards your room's door and collided into Jimin.
"Ouch," You groaned after the collision, beginning to wonder if Jimin was actually made of rocks. You looked up to see him looking down at you curiously.
"Where are you going, Noona?" He asked, completely ignoring the pain that he caused you earlier. You rubbed your forehead, deciding not to berate him for it.
"I have clients to train today." You told him, he cocked his head to the side, a gesture that you were beginning to find adorable even as a human.
"Clients?" He repeated, "Like other dogs and exhibitors?" He added, and you began to feel worry in the pit of your stomach. You nodded, and although you wanted to reassure him, you knew you were going to be late.
"Yes, Jimin," you affirmed, "Now, could you move to the side? I really have to go." You said as sweetly as you could, still gazing into his dark brown eyes. A pout was beginning to form on his pink lips.
"But what if I don't want you to, Noona?" You blinked at his words, he was being possessive again. You chuckled and took his hand and gave it a squeeze.
"Jimin-ah, I have to," He used his ever popular puppy eyes on you, you had to admit that it still had an effect on you but you tried your best to ignore it, "I can't buy you chocolate if I don't work." His eyes widened in fear.
"But, I love chocolate," He murmured as if deep in thought, "But I love (Y/N) more."
You couldn't help but blush furiously at his words, he was being innocent but your heart jumped at what he said. You bit your lower lip and tried to gain you composure back before he noticed.
"And I love you too, that's why I have to feed you." You tried to convince him again, he stayed quiet for a bit before finally giving in. You cheered and you reached over to hug him. "You don't have to worry about a thing, okay?" Your eyes light up when you thought of something.
"What about I bring you over to Namjoon's place so you could spend time with Jin?" You suggested, his previously upset demeanor had completely been erased and he nodded excitedly.
You didn't mind Jimin hanging around Jin after finding out that Namjoon had 'punished' him, and has been on his best behavior since then. Jimin also seemed really happy hanging out with the older man so it was a win win situation.
After that being settled, you brought Jimin over to Namjoon's place who didn't mind. He also had clients that day so it would only be Jin and Jimin in the house. He assured that the doors would be locked and it was, 'dog turned human' proof. He also had CCTVs connected to his phone so he could keep track of the duo.
"Jimin, you be good, okay?" You reached over to pinch his cheeks, to which he pouted at. He felt like his cheeks were too chubby and you would always reassure him they were perfect. For someone who just recently turned human, he was very vain and conscious.
He nodded before turning his attention back to Jin, the duo made their way somewhere in the house and you turned to Namjoon.
"Thanks for letting him stay over," He smiled showing off his dimples.
"No problem, I'll keep you updated, Jin knows how to use the phone." With that being said, the two of you made your way to your individual cars.
You knew you were late and you'd have to profusely apologize to your client.
Chapter Text
“Jimin, if you frown too much you’re not going to be worldwide handsome like me.” Jimin felt his cheeks being poked to which he groaned at. He glared at the taller man who was irritating him.
“Aish, hyung, don’t do that,” He swatted the hands away, “You know that I don’t like that.”
The two of them were casually chilling on the couch while they watched TV. Jin had managed to prepare popcorn for the two of them without setting the entire house on fire.
“Why are you so upset, anyways?” Jin asked after stuffing a handful of popcorn into his mouth, Jimin flinched when some particles spilled out.
Why was he upset? His day would have been great, the usual thing happened something that he didn’t really mind. He liked consistency.
Except for the fact that
you
were going to spending time with different humans and dogs. He was certain that they were human males, he wasn’t that good at reading but he could understand some of the names that you sent emails to.
He didn’t like the idea of you interacting with other males, it messed up your scent. He already had to tolerate your friends when he was a dog, he still had to now, but different other people that he wasn’t really closed to was something different.
He hated it when some of the other people in the shows would flirt with you.
They couldn’t understand that you were his .
“Jiminie, you’re spacing out,” He blinked after his hyung gave him a concerned look. He apologized, “Now, what’s up with you?”
Jimin bit his lower lip, not exactly sure how he was going to explain his feelings. He knew that the guy was trustworthy, well, he was the only friend that he had, but he wasn’t entirely sure how the other would react.
“I…” He began, searching for the words to say, “I get jealous whenever noona interacts with other males.” His voice was barely audible, but giving the look on Jin’s face, he knew that he heard him.
“That’s it?” Jimin’s eyebrows furrowed in frustration, “You should have said earlier!” His expression quickly contorted to one of confusion as he waited for the older one to speak.
“I’m an expert at this kinds of things.” Jin bragged, Jimin would have questioned him but he wanted to know what the brunette was planning to say. “I know some things that will make you situation a hundred times better!”
Jimin wasn’t sure if the hyung was only exaggerating, but when it came to you, he was willing to try anything out.
“First,” Jin began, completely forgetting about the popcorn on his lap as he set the bowl on the table. “You have to stop calling her noona!” Jimin’s eyes widened in disbelief.
He was used to calling you Noona, sure he’d slip every now and then, but he felt like it was appropriate, “But, hyung-”
Jin immediately cut him off, “No, you have to drop the noona. You sound like a kid whenever you call her that.” He began to mock Jimin, “Noona, I miss you; noona, I love you.” He teased, trying his best to imitate the smaller boy. This caused a blush to form on his face as he puffed his cheeks.
“Fine, I’ll drop it.” Jin nodded approvingly, his grin widening causing his eyes to grow smaller.
“Next, you have to be more assertive!” He added, Jimin’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion once again. “Be more dominant, act more like a man. ”
“For someone who was a dog just a few days ago, you are strangely confident.” Jimin got hushed.
“Aish, don’t be so ungrateful, you’re the one asking for advice.” Jin said with a pinch of annoyance in his voice, “Namjoon isn’t usually home so I have the entire TV to myself, I’m proud to say that I finished a wide array of dramas.” Jimin fought the urge to roll his eyes, choosing to run his hand through his unruly blonde hair instead.
Jin continued to explain different methods that Jimin was trying his best to keep in mind. He would be trying them later on and will definitely update his hyung. Midway, Jin suddenly stopped and looked around.
“What’s wrong, hyung?” It was his turn to ask, the older shushed him and scooted closer, “Namjoon put cameras all over the place, I have to tell you the most important part.” He leaned his lips towards Jimin’s ear, the younger boy could feel the warm breath causing shivers to go down his spine.
“You have to mark her.”
You sighed and wiped the sweat from your forehead and smiled after putting Kai back in his kennel. You were done for the day and gave Kai one last treat. Stretching your arms over your head, you made your way out of the kennel.
“Oh! Sorry!” You apologize after bumping into another figure. That was the second time that day. You looked up to see a charming black haired male who also happened to be your client.
He gave you a smirk before accepting you apology. You stopped yourself from swooning over his masculine features and broad shoulders.
You had to admit that you found the man attractive, you appreciated his features but he wasn’t someone you’d be falling head over heels for.
Your career was your number one priority, so was Jimin.
“Are you done for the day, (Y/N)?” He smoothly asked you and you nodded offering a small smile. He reached into his pockets and handed you the amount that you charged him. You didn’t bother to count and stuffed it into your purse and thanked him.
“I’ll be going now, Sehun,” You politely bowed your head and attempted to move around him, just as you were a few steps away from him, he grabbed your wrist.
“(Y/N), I don’t think that you’ve eaten lunch yet.” The man was right, the last time you ate was before you left the house. But you were planning to visit Hoseok’s cafe and have lunch there.
You also needed to discuss things with him.
“I’m fine, Sehun, I really have to go.” You smiled again, slightly shaking your hand from his grip. He let go, although hesitant. You could see the disappointment on his face.
It wasn’t a rare occurrence for him to ask you to lunch or dinner, everytime, you would deny or make up an excuse. But you had to admit that you admired his determination.
“Are you free tomorrow?” He asked, causing you to look back at him, “I wanted to talk to you about some things.”
You were still going to be training here tomorrow so you pursed your lips in thoughts.
“It would be great if you could accompany me to lunch.” He added, looking at you with pleading eyes. After a few seconds, you sighed and nodded.
“Alright,” Maybe it would end all his attempts, “I’ll see you tomorrow!” You then turned your heel to leave.
Not seeing the smirk that formed on the other’s face.
Chapter 11: Chapter 11
Chapter Text
Your friend’s cafe had been busy the moment that you entered. The baristas were attending to each customer, assisting each other with the orders, brewing, and cooking. The place was packed with people, occupying every seat, couch, and table. Its classy like interior was still unparalleled to any cafe that you visited.
Despite the number of people that flooded the place, the baristas managed to keep up with the orders and assure that the service was good. As well as the quality of their drinks and food.
Despite the hunger that tugged on your stomach, you knew that you needed to see Hoseok and discuss things with him regarding your plans. You wanted to find another part-time job, training dogs wasn’t consistent, you needed a part-time job that would be stable enough.
You made your way through the herds of people and approached Jisung, one of the baristas that you were somewhat close to.
“Jisung!” You called out, managing to earn his attention as he flashed you a smile. He probably knew what you were there for and pointed to the back part of the restaurant, where Hoseok’s house was connected.
You thanked him and flashed him a grin before walking over to the said area. You figured that your friend would be grooming or something since a show would be nearing.
That is, if he had a dog to show.
You walked in, making sure to close the door as you were met with a hallway, connecting the restaurant to his residences. Your feet clicked against the marble floor before you reached the other side of the wall with another door.
It wasn’t lock, so you let yourself in.
The entrance that you went through was located at the back door of the house, one wouldn’t notice that the cafe and the house were actually connected, you had no idea how your friend made that work. The place was familiar to you, it had the same scent of coffee that they made in the cafe.
You navigated through the house while calling out Hoseok’s nickname. It had been strangely quiet and it was beginning to bug you.
It was never quiet in Hobi’s house.
“Hobi!” You called out while your eyes darted around the area, the only place that you didn’t check was the bedroom. You normally wouldn’t intrude but you were getting bothered by the strange silence.
You made your way up the flight of stairs before you came across the door that would lead to his room, your hand found themselves slowly inching towards the door knob. The moment that it was within reach, you twisted and pushed it open.
Your eyes nearly bulged from your face the moment that you saw two figures cuddled up in bed. One had brown hair, you immediately recognized as your friend, and the other had platinum blonde hair a few shades lighter than Jimin’s.
Your gasp had caused one of the figures to stir and look at you with groggy eyes. Hobi’s eyes widened in surprise upon seeing you.
“(Y/N)?” His voice had been hoarse as you clasped your mouth with both of your hands, the other figure stirred from under the blankets and yawned, there you noticed his bare chest.
“I’m sorry!” You whisper-shouted while trying your best to quickly but quietly shut the door.
You weren’t sure what was going on in there, but you didn’t want to assume things.
Maybe they were just sleeping? But you never thought that your friend swung that way.
You nearly shrieked when a hand found its way on your shoulder, causing you to flinch a bit and quickly turn back.
“Hobi?!” Your friend was thankfully dressed properly, in comparison to the male from earlier.
“(Y/N)! What brings you here?” He casually asks, acting as if you didn’t see him in the room with a stranger.
“You never told me you were gay!” Your outburst had caused him to blink in surprise, “I mean, nothing wrong with that, but I kept hooking you up with the wrong people!” He only laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck, you waited for an explanation.
“Well, about that, (Y/N),” he paused for awhile to turn back at the door, which was now shut closed. “Let’s go somewhere else to talk about this.”
~-~-~
“So that guy in there, was Suga?” You asked him for the nth time which caused him to sigh.
“Yes,” He replied, “This is why I didn’t plan on telling any of you, none of you would believe me.”
“No, no, no!” You immediately cut him off, he stared at you curiously leaning a bit closer towards the table. “I believe you!” You added.
“Hoseok, where’s my food?” Before the two of you could continue your conversation, the presence of the another individual had caused Hobi to spring up to his feet.
“Give me a second, Yoongi. I’ll be done with it in a bit,” Your friend gave you an apologetic room before rushing to the kitchen.
Was your friend being dominated by who was previously his dog ?
The individual named Yoongi grabbed the chair across you causing you to look up at him the moment that the floor screeched noisily. He looked at you causing you to slightly shrink back.
“Aren’t you going to apologize?”
“Huh?” You were taken aback by his words, the male lazily stared at you with his chin balanced on the palm of his hand. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“You woke me up.”
You couldn’t help but feel slightly intimidated by the unknown person, but you weren’t going to let him intimidate you that much.
“I didn’t wake you up,” You sassed him. “It’s also past twelve, don’t you think that you’re sleeping too much?” The glare coming from his eyes had caused you to shut up.
The blonde didn’t look any taller than Hobi, Jimin even, but he held an aura that appeared to be scary. His blank expression only added to it but you tried your best to hide the anxiousness in your face.
“I can do whatever I want,” He grumpily answered, before the two of you could continue with your banter, the sound of Hoseok’s gentle footsteps had echoed throughout the small room.
Your friend set down a plate of fried eggs and rice in front of the blonde and coffee for the two of you, you muttered a thanks before watching the exchange.
“Yoongi, play nice,” Hoseok scolded, maybe he wasn’t that under after all.
The glare that Yoongi shot him had only caused him to shut up. You sighed before bringing the cup to your lips, you scolded yourself for not eating before coming here.
You had a strange feeling that you would be here for quite some time.
“You got all that in your head now, Jimin?” Jimin nodded with a wide smile on his face.
He was going to definitely follow his hyung’s advice. If not now, tomorrow. Or the next day, but he definitely was going to do it.
The two were now done with their discussion and glued their eyes to the TV screen where a series of shows had been playing. Jin focused attentively, completely forgetting about the younger man’s presence in the room.
Jimin had different thoughts running through his head.
Whether the techniques that Jin had taught him would actually work, he was too excited to actually think things through. He could only think of what reaction you would be having when he starts to apply the things that he was taught.
‘Jin hyung did say to take things slow.’ He motivated himself in attempts to get rid of the pressure. He would start with the basic things, like calling you by your name, then move on to the harder stuff later on.
The door creaking open had caused the two to jump from their seats and rush towards the door. There stood their two humans who both appeared to be tired from the day’s work.
“Joonie!” Jin was the first to call out immediately latching on to his companion, starting to chatter about what had happened that day.
Jimin tried his best to puff his chest as he approached you, you were busy shuffling through your bag to notice him. He summoned the courage and thought of everything his hyung said earlier.
“(Y/N.)”

Chapter Text
It wasn’t the first time that Jimin had called you by your name, but this certainly the first time that he said it in such an intimidating way.
It was sultry.
Not the usual sweet and charming demeanor that he had, when you looked up, you saw the dark glint that was in his eyes. It wasn’t a timid smile on his face.
But you dismissed it.
‘Maybe I’m just overthinking things.’ You thought to yourself before answering Jimin.
“Yes, Jimin?” You smiled sweetly at him. Trying to appear unaffected by the way he looked and sounded earlier.
You noticed the other sniffing the air ever so subtly, you swallowed the lump in your throat and realized that it was probably the dogs and the other humans that you came in contact with earlier.
Before anything else could happen, you called out to Namjoon who was being clung to by Jin.
“Joonie! Thank you for allowing Jimin to stay over,” You said with a bright smile on your face, he managed to steal a glance at you and nodded before being dragged away by the older boy. You chuckled at how sweet Jin was being towards Namjoon.
Not noticing the dark gaze that Jimin shot you.
“Why do you call Namjoon hyung that?” You cocked an eyebrow after shutting the car door and grabbing your belongings, walking inside the house with Jimin trailing behind you.
“What do you mean?” You asked, unlocking the door to be welcomed into your house for the previous years.
You wanted nothing more but to change into your pajamas and chill on the couch for the rest of the night.
“You gave him a nickname,” His words had caught you off guard causing you to look at him. “Not just him, but Jungkook too, and maybe your other friends too.” The pout on his face was just too much for you to handle. You resisted the urge to pinch his cheeks.
“It’s a normal thing for me, Chim,” You said, “I gave you a nickname too, Jiminie.” He pursed his lips in thought and you turned away figuring that whatever was bothering him had been resolved.
“But I don’t feel special,” he said. You spun around and blinked, you began to take note of the sad look on his face as he said those words.
You walked over to him and tiptoed to cup his face in your hands. Using your thumbs, you smoothed the frown on his face, bringing the side of his lips upwards.
“Oh, Jimin,” you began as you gazed into his warm brown eyes, “Just because I give them nicknames it doesn’t make you any less special.” You tried your best to explain to him. “Even if they also have nicknames, to me, you’re the most special do- ehr, person in my life right now.” His eyes lit up a bit at his words before his gaze drooped again.
His eyes were narrow as his lips slightly parted while looking at you, your eyes widened in shock at the way he was looking at you.
“I believe you, (Y/N),” his voice was an octave lower as your grip on his face began to loosen, he took his own hands and clasped yours. “But don’t forget that you’re mine.”
‘What the hell happened at Namjoon’s house?’ You found yourself thinking to yourself as you pulled away from him. You gave him a sheepish smile not really sure how to react to his advances.
“Are you feeling better now?” You awkwardly asked him and thankfully, the other snapped back to his usual state. The fearsome look in his eyes replaced by gentle ones which provided you with relief.
“I am.” He timidly smiled and you sighed softly, you weren’t sure what was getting into him. But you had a strong gut feeling that the way he was acting isn’t going to be a good thing.
“What about I make some dinner for us?” You suggested, you didn’t really get to eat at Hoseok’s place so you were starving.
“I love your cooking, no- (Y/N),” you cocked your eyebrow at the way he corrected himself, “But I wanna eat ramyeon outside!” He pleaded, using his puppy eyes once again to get what he wanted.
You pondered about it for awhile, there was a place that sold good ramen near your house so money wasn’t really the issue, and you weren’t feeling like cooking tonight so maybe going out would be a good idea.
“Alright,” He cheered and nearly bolted out the door if it weren’t for you grabbing his hand. “Let me just get changed then we go.” He nodded excitedly, he took it as a sign to sit on the couch while you went up to your room to change into fresh clothes.
‘Why is Jimin acting so strange?’ You thought after changing into a shirt and shorts, pairing it with sneakers that were cleaner than your rubber shoes.
You hate to admit, but you were finding his dark gazes and deep voice sexy.
You shook your head to dismiss the thought before proceeding down to see that Jimin was waiting for you by the stairs. You both made your way towards the entrance and entered the car.
The drive to the ramen place was filled with small chatter, Jimin telling you about how his day with his hyung went, the kind of shows that the two watched. You nearly fainted at the fact that they tried to make popcorn.
Little did you know, he left out a very important conversation that he had with the older guy.
You previously told Jimin about the ramyeon place a few days back and figured that he got curious about it, you were craving for the same thing anyways so you really didn’t mind. The two of you made your way inside the small restaurant, it was crowded but fortunately, the two of you managed to score seats.
After ordering for the both of you, you watched as Jimin curiously looked around the restaurant. It was your first time out in the restaurant with him. The past few days, you kept him confided inside the house.
But he finally learned how to properly use chopsticks and knew some of the basic etiquettes, you weren’t that worried about taking him out.
“(Y/N)?” He called out to you causing you to snap from your thoughts. “Is this the thing that people on TV do?” You tilted your head to the side and waited for him to continue.
“What do you mean, Jiminie-ah?” He seemed to be deep in thought, searching for the words to say.
“A date?” You blushed at his words and realized that there was some truth in it. To any other person, it would look like a girl and a boy going out on a date.
Except it was just a girl and her dog turned human eating out.
Not wanting to disappoint him, you smiled, “Yes, a friendly date.”
He didn’t get to question the term that you added to his previous question as the food arrived. You chuckled when you saw him cheer and began to pick up his chopsticks the way that you taught him to. Like a mother proud of her child, you praised him.
The two of you continued to eat in silence, dismissing the topic that he had brought up earlier. You didn’t want to bring it up either.
Some of the soup that Jimin was eating had splattered on to his cheek. You giggled at how childish he looked not noticing the pout on his face. You reached over for a tissue paper and reached over to wipe his cheek.
“Aren’t we getting all chummy.” The two of you turned to see Jihye. You fought the urge to roll your eyes and grit your teeth at the sight of her.
She was part of the company that your family owned, and you knew that she hated your guts. Because of you, she lost some opportunities the moment that you left. You also ratted her out for some of the things that she did.
“Hello, Jihye.” You sweetly greeted her while she eyed you and Jimin. You couldn’t help but feel anxious at the way that she was observing Jimin but you kept quiet.
“Is he your boyfriend?” She directly asked you, you weren’t surprised at how frank she was being. You put up a well practiced smile.
“No, he isn’t,” You corrected her. “He’s my friend.” She looked at you with disbelief.
“Last time I checked, friends don’t act so sweetly towards each other.”
“Maybe you just had the wrong set of friends.” You shrugged with an innocent grin on your face. The other gritted her teeth ruining her beautiful features.
‘Beautiful my ass.’ You did notice the curious glances that Jimin was giving her.
“Wonder what happens if daddy and mommy find out about this?” You nearly shivered at her words but they couldn’t really do anything about you now. You had your own life, they couldn’t control you.
“Oh, do let them know that I finally found such wonderful company,” You told her, unfazed by her previous words. “Hanging around you all the time at the company was taking its toll. Maybe if I tell them the truth about-” Before you could continue with what you were saying, Seulgi huffed and spun on her heel. She gave one last glance at your table before looking at Jimin.
She winked at him and you could only roll your eyes. You couldn’t believe that she was willing to go that low.
“Jimin, don’t involve yourself with her, okay?” You snapped him out of his thoughts and he nodded obediently. You silently thanked the heavens that Jimin wasn’t the defiant kind.
You were certain that you would hear a call from your parents very soon.
Chapter 13: Chapter 13
Chapter Text
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat as you watched the handsome man in front of you order. The two of you had proceeded with your plans to have lunch together.
Oddly enough, he knew what you were to order. When you asked him, he only chuckled and said that it was a lucky guess.
“So what did you want to talk about?” You asked him, not once did he bring up the topic of what he wanted to discuss with you yesterday.
He only stared at you before a smirk crossed his features, your hands curled into fist underneath the table. “Right off the bat? Before that, why don’t you tell me something about yourself first?”
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion but you tried your best to straighten your face. You didn’t want to insult your client after all.
“There’s not much to say, actually.” You told him honestly, you weren’t that much of an interesting person anyways.
He only hummed before intertwining his fingers and propping his elbows on the table with his chin resting against the bridged fingers.
You swallowed the lump in your throat.
“I beg to disagree,” he said, his velvety voice reaching your ears, “It’s not everyday that a girl suddenly appears at a show and manages to win consistently.”
You couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable at his words. Sehun had been showing longer than you and part of his words were true.
You appeared out of the blue, knowing how to handle and make it appear natural. You managed to keep the wins coming in and you used to refuse clients until recently.
“I’ve always wanted to show before,” You find yourself explaining, “So even if I wasn’t an exhibitor yet, I found myself watching videos and sometimes watching the shows if I had the chance.”
You wouldn’t say it out loud, but maybe if Sehun had asked you out before when you were starting out, you would have guillably say yes to it. He was one of the ‘show heartthrobs’, envied by most men seeing that their looks often got them wins from female judges.
In fact, there were many rumours that would spread around. Involving those good looking handlers and judges. Jungkook had fallen victim to some of those rumours, being the male handler with the most wins. But you knew him better than most people.
You couldn’t say the same about Sehun.
He had reputation, and even you had no idea why you agreed to train his dog.
He swirled the glass of water that he had in his hand while he listened to you. The food had arrived and the two of you ate in silence.
“Since your training Kai now,” You looked up from your plate and waited for him to continue, “I was hoping that it would be okay for you to campaign him with me.”
You shot him a curious look, and figured this was what he was planning to ask you. Kai was one of his new dogs that hasn’t been out in the ring yet. You knew that the dog had potential.
“If you don’t mind me asking,” You began, not answering his initial question, “Why don’t you campaign him yourself?”
“I’ve been receiving a lot of shade from the other handlers about how I’ve been using my looks-“ You nearly choked on your water, “-to put my dogs up. I want to prove them wrong that I am capable of conditioning my dogs hence they win.”
His explanation had seemed convincing enough so you gave it some thought. Most people in shows were in it to win and for bragging rights, rarely was it for fun. Others were to see if their breeding stock was good enough.
You didn’t have a dog to handle anyways.
“Alright.” You accepted his offer which caused a wide smile to spread across his face.
You were expecting it, but you had no idea that it would be this bad.
“Jimin, c’mon,” You said as you tried to coax the other to come out from under the blankets. The moment that you arrived home and you explained about having to handle another dog towards his championship had completely set the blonde off. He threw a tantrum and after, refused to speak to you. Opting to hide himself underneath the blankets.
He didn’t budge, when you reached out to place your hand on his back, he moved away. As if you were some disease that could kill him. You sighed in disappointment.
“Jimin, please,” You called out to him, he only shrugged you off again. “Please don’t be difficult.”
His words had completely caused him to grow angry, you were surprised when the blanket suddenly was off him and you found yourself pinned down against the bed. Jimin’s hard gaze staring hard at you.
“Ji-Jimin?” You squeaked, realizing how close the two of you were. His upper body had been pressed against yours and you could feel his warm breath against your face. A blush began to creep on to your cheeks. You were too dazed to push him off.
The two of you were consumed by the silence as each second underneath him felt like centuries. You could feel his lean figure press against you as his body heat mixed with yours.
“(Y/N),” The way he called you wasn’t the same as how he usually would. It sounded almost feral. Unconsciously, you bit the inner part of your lower lip out of nervousness, not noticing the way that his eyebrow had twitched.
“Jimin, what’s gotten into you?” You found yourself asking, still incapable of moving.
“I’m not stopping you for interacting with-” there was a look of disgust on his face as he spoke, “-other dogs and males, but don’t forget one thing.” He leaned your face closer to yours, lips nearly touching if you hadn’t moved your head to the side only to feel his lips against your ear.
“You’re mine.”
The first few times he had said that, you weren’t fazed. But this time, you knew that it was different. That there was a warning to it. Successfully, you managed to push him off you and you glared.
“Jimin, I love you and all but-” You saw the conflicted look on his face, switching from the hard expression that he had earlier to one of his normal looks, “-I’m not your possession. You can’t control me and this is all too much.” You found yourself storming out the door and out the house.
You weren’t in the mood to deal with this. Maybe you should go see Jungkook.

Chapter Text
“Woah, (Y/N),” Came the voice of the black-haired boy approaching you. “You look like shit.” He added which caused you to roll your eyes.
“Hello to you too.” You sarcastically replied while running a hand through your hair. You didn’t bother to brush your hair or sort out your clothes the moment that you stepped out of the house. Immediately, you got into the car and drove away. Whilst doing so, you called your closest friend.
He immediately took a seat in front of you, the two of you decided to head towards a cafe that was near his place. It would have been easier for you to see you and he couldn’t come up with any excuses.
“How’s Taehyung?” You found yourself asking after taking a sip from your own coffee. You had ordered Caramel Macchiato for him which he appreciatively drank.
He nearly choked on the said drink.
“He’s doing good,” You couldn’t help but feel suspicious about his words.
“Is there something that you aren’t telling me?” You cocked an eyebrow while asking, noticing how the other seemed to grow paler. The man appeared to be conflicted.
He finally sighed.
“There is actually, but you might find it weird.” He began.
“Taehyung is Vee.” The two of you said at the same time, causing him to look at you with a shocked expression. A smirked managed to cross yours the moment that you saw his look of disbelief.
“How did you..?” He couldn’t find the words to say which almost made you giggle. His eyes were were wide open as his lips were slightly ajar.
The typical, Jungshookt look.
“Because if you haven’t noticed, Jimin is Chim.” Jungkook’s eyes widened even more as his mouth dropped.
“And I’ve been trying to keep it a secret all this time!” He yelled, causing everyone in the store to look at the two of you. You glared at him and shushed him.
The boy was too loud for his own good.
“Keep quiet before the whole cafe starts to think that we’re insane.” You whisper shouted.
“Do you know how hard it was to stop people from coming over to my house?” He whispered back in annoyance. “I even made my own parents leave because I couldn’t risk them finding out that I’m currently housing a dog turned human!” You shushed him again earning a couple of strange looks from the customers around you.
“Jungkook, shut up,” You said in annoyance, “We’re not the only ones struggling, okay?” He gave you a confused look waiting for you to continue speaking.
“Namjoon and Hobi are in the same situation,” You said causing him to gasp loudly. It was starting to get embarrassing.
“Seriously?” You nodded, thankful that he managed to tone down a bit. “But why do you think-“
“I have no idea, Kooks.” You sighed and rubbed your temple trying to get rid of the migraine that was beginning to arise. “But it’s crazy, don’t you think?” He nodded agreement. Finally, something that two of you could agree upon.
“It all happened the day after that show and we celebrated.” You assumed that it was the same for him since you saw him in the store that day.
“But what could have triggered it?” He continued for you. “If we told anyone else, it would make us look crazy.” You nodded in agreement.
“That’s why we keep this to ourselves.” You sighed, you weren’t even sure if there was a solution to this dilemma. It all seemed to surreal.
“Actually, there’s something I have to confess to you in behalf of the hyu-“ Before you could listen to what he was going to say, your phone loudly blared causing you to look at him apologetically.
Incoming call from Kim Jihye.
A sigh escaped your lips as you pressed the accept button and put your phone against the side of your head.
“(Y/N) speaking,” You coldly said. Using the tone that you would only use when it came to business matters.
“Hello, (Y/N)! I just called to inform you that your parents have quite an interesting offer to make. They’re requesting your presence tomorrow morning at the office.” Before you could answer the girl, the line ended causing you to groan and nearly slam your phone on the table.
Jungkook gave you a look of worry which you noticed.
“What were you saying earlier, Kooks?”
He simply shook his head, “It was nothing important, (Y/N). We can talk about it some other time.” You smiled appreciatively at your friend.
Your mind was clouded with whatever thing your parents had to offer you.

Chapter Text
He was being ignored by you the moment that you got home and until the next day when you left. He couldn’t take it.
“Jimin, you’re really going to look like a grandpa before you reach your 30s.” The shorter boy shot his companion a glare, Namjoon had dropped over Jin for the day leaving him alone with him for the rest of the day.
He was tempted to call him out about it being his fault that all this happened, but the other was too busy snacking on whatever food that he found in the fridge. He wasn’t in the mood to eat, he just wanted to make things better with you.
Jin gave a concerned look after swallowing the last piece of oreo that he found in your pantry. “I have the perfect solution, Jimin,” He said, still not earning the attention of the younger boy.
“You got me into this, Hyung,” Jimin reminded while lazily changing the TV channels, he missed the Food Network channel with how lost in thought he was.
“Hey!” He yelped the moment that the remote was snatched from him and the TV turned back. He saw Jin eyeing him.
“This is why we’re going to solve this!” He cheerily said, the younger male did not get a good feeling about it, “Now, listen to my plan.”
For the second time, Jimin found himself agreeing to his hyung’s ideas.
The glass doors of the building slid open the moment that you stood in front of it, your blood was running cold at the familiar environment presented right in front of you.
You found yourself sighing, it was now or never. You walked inside only to be glanced at by some people, they went back to minding their own business.
It was good that none of them recognized you, they were all probably new.
Not a lot of people knew (not even you lol) that your family actually ran a famous fashion powerhouse. Hawieey, and it was number one in Korea. Not that you really cared.
Your parents forced you to study business so that you could take over the company in the future. You had to admit, it would make your life a whole lot easier, but working in the company would mean that you had to give up showing.
Because your parents found animals repulsive, and only to be used for clothes.
Of course, you didn’t agree to that.
You walked over towards the elevator and just as the receptionist was about to approach you and question you, you took out a card that entailed that you were part of the company. A black and gold card with your name on it, allowing you access to every room in the company.
You could easily rob this place if you wanted to.
You swiped and made your way inside, using it to take you up to the penthouse, where your parents’ office was. You impatiently tapped your feet as you waited for the elevator to reach to top floor.
You wished that the travel time would take longer or the elevator would stop midway, but it was too good to be true. You found the doors sliding open to reveal the hallway leading towards the office.
“Here it goes.” You pepped yourself before pushing the doors open. You didn’t bother knocking, it wasn’t your thing.
“Ah, so you decided to come, (Y/N).”
You were immediately met with the sight of your dad sitting on his seat in front of his desk with his eyes greatly examining you. Your mother was on one of the couches talking with Jihyun.
‘Leech,’ You thought to yourself before looking back at your father. He hasn’t aged a bit since you last saw him, hair was rich and thick, eyes still held strength in them. His demeanor was the same.
Much like yours.
“Let’s get straight to the point, Mr. (L/N).” You smirked the moment that you saw the man subtly click his tongue at the title that you called him. You also heard your mother sigh at your antics.
“The company’s image has not been as visible to the public the past few days-“ He gestured towards the chair in front of him but you remained glued to your spot, “-the effectiveness of our marketing techniques has not been the same as before.”
You wanted to say your opinions in regards to the marketing technique and how boring everything was but you kept your mouth shut.
“We need new faces for our company, new models that would draw in potential customers.” He continued to which you cocked an eyebrow at.
“And I come in where?” You ask him, still confused with everything that was going on.
“Your father thinks that you should model for the company,” You nearly coughed at your mother's words, looking at her before quickly looking back at your father.
He sighed, “We assumed ahead of time that you would be… defiant.” He cleared his throat. “We offer an alternative.”
“Which is?”
“Jihyun has informed us that you have friends that have the potential to model for our company.” Your eyes nearly gave your shock away as you shot a side glance at the said girl. “If you can convince at least three of them to model, you’ll be off the hook. It would also be your contribution to the family business.”
The deal seemed tempting, it would be a win-win situation for all sides but you couldn’t help but feel like there would be some catch. And you didn’t want to decide for your friends.
“If you do agree, you will be given the position as their manager and will be paid.”
You needed to make money, but you didn’t want to be depending on them. It seemed strange, how they didn’t just find another model, there were plenty of other models capable of doing what they were expecting.
There must have been some motif, but you couldn’t put your finger on it.
“You do not have to decide now,” You swore that you saw his eyes soften as he said that, it could have been a trick of light, however. “You will be given a week, nothing more than that.”
Chapter 16: Chapter 16
Chapter Text
The moment that arrive home, you found yourself following a trail of petals that led to the kitchen. Inside, there was a full course meal on top of the dining table. Your favorite food was directly in front of you and a vase of flowers in the middle. They had the same color as the petals that you followed inside.
As much as you wanted to dig in and give into the rumbling of your stomach. You were curious what this was all about, you figured that it was Jimin who had prepared all this. The said man had stepped out of one of the rooms connected to the kitchen. He had a timid look on his face as he looked at you.
“Jimin, what’s all this?” You found yourself asking while gesturing towards the table. The smell of food wafting throughout the air which made your mouth water.
“Noona, I’m really sorry.” He began as he walked near you, you had to look up to meet his eyes, you saw the innocence that you were used to seeing. “I didn’t mean to upset you and I hope that you don’t hate me anymore.” He added, if it weren’t for the seriousness of the situation, you would have ‘awed’. Instead, you took his hands into yours, slightly intertwining them.
“Oh, Jimin,” You began, formulating words to say. “You know that I love you too much to actually hate you.” It was true that you were previously upset at how he was acting, but it wasn’t to the point that you would actually hate him. He was too important.
“You don’t have to worry about a thing, okay?” You tried to reassure him and squeezed his hands. His brown eyes gazing into you (e/c) ones, brown eyes that you were sure you would melt in. He nods before offering a small smile.
“Let’s dig in then?” The two of you settled in front of each other. You looked at the dishes in amazement. “Did Jin help you prepare this?” You ask him.
“Yes! But I made most of it!” He excitedly said, grinning to the point that his eyes formed crescent moons. “I mean, I prepared it with him.” He immediately tried to tone down and answer seriously. You cock an eyebrow at this.
“Don’t correct yourself,” You said, causing him to look up from the pasta that he was eating. The confusion in his eyes was evident.
“Huh?”
“I love you being all cheerful and happy,” You admitted after swallowing the food in your mouth. “I prefer that side of you rather than you growling and acting all intimidating, does Jin have something to do with this?” You asked with a judging look.
Silence. You knew what the answer was, you didn’t need him to say anything else.
“Figured,” You sighed. “Don’t listen to him, Jimin.” You added with a small smile.
“I love you just the way you are.” Your eyes widened at your own words.
“I love you too, Noona.” And still, your heart skipped a beat at his.
“Why are we here, it’s too early.” Suga whined the moment that they entered your house. He glared around at his surrounding, eventually locking eyes with you.
You used to fuss over the once corgi before, you’d pick him up and cuddle him to the point that he would get upset. You were sure that he was still holding a grudge for that.
“Aren’t you excited to see, Jiminie, Yoongi?” Taehyung piped in from behind, his eyes lit up the moment that they laid eyes on Jimin who had just come down from your room. “It’s not everyday we get to visit them!” He added before making his way towards Jimin. Before he could, the collar of his polo was yanked at by the smaller male.
“It’s Hyung to you,” Yoongi’s already normal glare had deepend causing Taehyung to softly squeak. “I didn’t say that I’m not excited or I don’t like seeing him.” He immediately added the moment that he saw Jimin give him a sad look.
“It’s just too early for anything.” You could easily tell that the blue haired one had a soft spot for Jimin. You also just realized that he dyed his hair.
“What’s going on, (Y/N)?” Before you could comment on the wild shade of blue that was now Yoongi’s hair, Namjoon snapped you out of your thoughts the moment he put a hand on your shoulder. “Is there something wrong?”
“It’s not a lot of times that you have us grouped all together.” Jungkook added, which was true. The last time the four of you were together was when your dogs were… still dogs. “You sounded desperate on the call.” He joked.
“Shh! It’s just that so you guys would really come,” You defended yourself. “Okay, maybe I was a bit… excited?” You weren’t sure how to word your thoughts as you reluctantly answered their questions.
“Don’t leave us hanging, (Y/N), we’ll support you whatever it is.” Hoseok coaxed you to speak, slinging an arm over your neck. You noticed the glare that Jimin shot your friend.
“I was wondering,” You began, choosing your words carefully as everyone in the room began to look at you. “If the three of you would be fine with Jimin, Jin, Taehyung, and Yoongi modeling?” You were first looking at your three friends.
“And if the four of you would be interested in modeling?” This time, your attention was shifted to the four dog turned humans.
“Finally, a job that befits my face.” Jin was the first to speak, bumping Taehyung who was in front of him to present himself in front of you.
“Oh! That’s what those people in the giant boards and TV do, right? It sounds like lots of fun.” Taehyung chimed in despite being pushed by the eldest among them.
“If that means that I won’t be getting as much sleep, then forget it.” Yoongi grumpily said before finding himself plopped on your sofa, readying himself to nap.
Jimin stays quiet. You didn’t notice this as your attention was more focused on the three other exhibitors.
“What brought this up, (Y/N)?” Namjoon finally broke the silence as Jungkook and Hoseok looked at you with curious eyes.
“I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned but my family runs a fashion powerhouse.” They gave you surprised looks, you never ever mentioned it to them and they never bothered to ask. “The same company where I refused to work because it’s not something that I really want to do. They gave me an offer that if I could get some models to work for the company, they would stop bugging me.”
There was a few minutes of silence as the three remained in thought.
“Wouldn’t that be too much for them to do, (Y/N)?” Hoseok was the first to speak up, there was a tinge of worry in his voice. The other two looked like they were about to agree with him.
“Before you all refuse! If ever you all agree, I’ll be watching over the four of them as their manager. They’ll also be limited to one project per week and will get paid.” You explained. “Think about it, that solves our problems of how we’re going to support them.” You hoped that somehow you managed to convince your friends.
Namjoon was the first to crack a smile and nodded towards you and the other two.
“All right, I’m fine with it as long as Jin wants to do it.” Jin perked up upon hearing his name, pushing aside Taehyung once again to sling an arm around his previous owner.
“How could you say no to that? It’s the perfect career for me.” Namjoon rolled his eyes and shrugged the other’s arm off.
“I want to join in too, Kookie!” Taehyung gave Jungkook his best attempt at puppy eyes, Jungkook took one look and sighed before offering you a smile.
“I’m okay with it.” Jimin timidly said and you shot him a thankful look. That was 3 out of 4.
All eyes turn to Yoongi, who was looking at everyone from the couch. A few seconds later, he sighed in annoyance and defeat.
“Fine.”
Chapter 17: Chapter 17
Chapter Text
You put the brush and dryer that you used on the dog back in the bag that you brought to the show. A smile crossed your face the moment that you observed how your work turned out. It was the first time that you groomed a poodle, so you were proud at how he turned out to look.
"You took forever to dry, Kai," You rubbed the black poodle's ear to which he leaned his head towards your hand. "Let's strive for that BOB, okay?" You encouraged him and scratched the bottom of his chin, you were about to hand him a treat but an hand on your shoulder had stopped you from doing so.
"(Y/N)?" You spun around to see Jungkook standing behind you, the moment that he got your attention, he stuffed his hands back in his pockets.
"Oh, hi, Kooks!" You greeted him, "I didn't know that you were showing today?" You figured that maybe he decided to start taking on other clients as well. It was the best thing to do anyways.
"We need to talk." He said after giving your clients dog a scrutinizing look. You noticed how harsh his tone had been but you tried your best to dismiss it.
Until he roughly grabbed your arm and dragged you to one of the isolated places in the area. You tried to pull your arm away but he was stronger. And he seemed upset which seemed to fuel his strength even more.
"Ow, no need to pull so harsh-" Before you could whine, he spun to face you and glared. Causing your eyes to widen with surprise. Jungkook never glared or was never upset.
"What do you think you're doing?" His words had only baffled you even more. You cocked an eyebrow finally pulling free from his grasp as you rubbed your sore arm.
"I'm grooming my client's dog?" You answer him casually, it was what you were doing after all. He groaned which caused you to worry. "Why are you so-"
"And who exactly is this client of yours?" He didn't wait for you to answer. "Sehun? You know how he is (Y/N)." Your eyebrows furrowed at his statement.
"No need to get so mad, Jungkook," You tried to say as calmly as you could. Hoping that you could control your temper before the two of you ended this interaction with a fight. "What's wrong with you? Is it wrong for me to start accepting other clientes? You have too!"
"I never said that it was wrong for you to accept other clients," He sighs and runs a hand through his usually neat hair. "Just not him." You were about to question him why, but his loud sigh had caught you off guard.
"You know what? Never mind, I just hope that you won't be regretting your decision later on." With that, he left you to your own thoughts, you watched his retreating figure with a gaze of confusion.
"What's up with him."
"Entry 402! Please proceed to the ring." You heard the speakers boom while making your way back to your set up, Kai wagged his tail in excitement the moment that he saw you. You smiled sadly at him and put on his show lead.
"C'mon, Kai."
"A Best in Show 1 and Best in Show 2?" Sehun's voice was clear through your phone's speakers. You could also hear the excitement in his tone, "Wow, that's more than I expected, (Y/N)! I'll pay you when you drop Kai off, thank you for taking care of him today."
Even if you knew that he couldn't see you, you found yourself grinning ear to ear. Happy that you satisfied a client.
"No problem, Sehun, I'll see you tomorrow morning!" With that, you ended the call, you were one of the last to stay in the show area, it was getting dark so you needed to head home in a bit.
You finish packing up, managing to lug the grooming table and tools into your car, you couldn't help but sigh at the memory of Jungkook helping you. You doubt that he would be talking to you anytime soon. That made you sigh even more.
After you loaded Kai into the crate, which used to belong to Jimin, you drove home. You just wanted to sleep, and you wanted to see if the house was still intact.
"What's he doing here?" Jimin asked the moment that he walked out of the room to see you giving Kai a treat after he finished his meal. You swore that you weren't imagining things when you heard him growl when Kai jumped on you.
You were sure that he was probably in the room during the time that you were feeding Kai, he didn't even rush down to see you the moment that you arrived.
"He'll be staying the night, Jimin," You explain and you noticed that his expression grew even more upset. "Don't try playing with him or anything, okay? I'll shower and change." You then leave the two and hope that you won't be coming down to blood splattered on the floor.
Jimin stared at the black poodle who had been too close to you. He wasn't pleased with it but he knew that he couldn't exactly kick the other one out. That would upset you more.
And you were scary when you're upset. He shivered at the thought of it.
But it didn't mean that he wasn't going to do anything about it.
"There's only one alpha dog here, buddy." He warned the dog that you placed inside the crate, he only stared at blonde with dark brown eyes which rivalled his own. "Don't try anything with (Y/N)." He added.
"Arf!" Jimin was not amused at the fact that the poodle's tail wagged and banged against the crate, he growled.
"Are you challengin-"
"Jimin, leave him alone!" He flinched the moment that he heard you scream from upstairs.
"Okay, Noona," He hollered before giving the poodle a dark look, he wasn't going to let him off the hook. "I'm watching you."

Chapter Text
Fortunately, you survived the night without any bloodshed. However, being the whiny baby that Jimin was, you had to compromise and allow him to hug you in his sleep.
You hate to admit it, but you actually didn't mind. You just kept in mind that it was normal for him to do it since he did it a lot as a dog, right?
"Jimin, I'll be back right away, okay? I'll just drop Kai off, do you want anything?" You call out before stuffing your phone in your pocket and taking a bite from the apple that grabbed from the fridge. The blonde's attention had been glued to the TV as he watched one of the chefs make a grilled cheese sandwich.
Was that a pool of drool on the floor?
"Mhmm, I'm good, Noona." He merely hummed in reply, mouth was still watering at the dish that was presented in front of him. Maybe you should pass by the grocery store and grab some ingredients for a grilled cheese sandwich. Or you could take him out for dinner later.
You dialed Sehun's number the moment that you were strapped in the car and when you were sure that Kai was secure behind you. He was sleeping on the seats you decided not to put him inside the crate. You didn't really feel like lugging it around.
He picked up after a couple of rings, "Sehun, I'm on my way." You started the car.
"Just ring me when you arrive."
You parked a few feet meters away from Sehun's house, he didn't have a lot of space for you to park directly in front of his house. So you opted to park across the street.
Coaxing Kai to come down after putting on his lead, you crossed the road not noticing the dog that had been approaching the both of you from the other side.
It was too late, Kai growled and charged for the other dog, dragging you along with him as you tried to pull him in the opposite direction. The leash tightening around his neck but you still couldn't control him.
"Kai, wait! Don't-"
Kai and the white stray dog fight, biting each other and you reacted by putting yourself between them. You whispered a sorry after pushing the white dog away and consequently, you get bitten by Kai. You screamed in surprise before Kai pulled away. When you turned, the white dog had ran away.
"(Y/N)?!" You turn to see Sehun running up to you, his phone was in his hand before he stuffed it into his pocket. "Come on, let's get you patched up." He examined your wounds, grabbing Kai's leash, and guided you inside his house.
You were met with the modern interior and homey vibes that his house had provided you with, you didn't really have time to examine the house seeing that your eyes was fixated on your punctured arm.
"Good thing it isn't too deep," Sehun sighs after wiping the wound and putting a plaster on it. "It only broke skin, Kai has his shots, but maybe you should get checked?" He suggested to which you nodded.
"Is Kai okay?" Sehun looked at you in surprise upon hearing your words.
"He's a bit wounded," He told you honestly, you felt your heart drop at his words, "But he's okay, don't worry about him, okay?" His finger rubbed your covered wound. "It will only make things harder." You heard him but you didn't quite understand what he said.
"Sorry?"
"Oh, it's nothing," He looks at you, giving you the charming the smile that most girls would fawn over. You weren't that affected, instead, you found yourself thinking about a certain blonde whose eyes would turn into crescent shaped ones every time he smiled.
"Thanks for patching me up, Sehun." You thanked him one last time before leaving. You told Jimin that you would be heading home right away, but you decided it was the best time to let your father know that you were accepting his offer.
"You're here earlier than expected, (Y/N)." This time, you father had been alone inside his office when you walked in. You put on the most emotionless face that you could as you faced him. Tucked between your arm and you side was a folder which contained the contract. You had Namjoon make it for you.
"We accept the offer, Mr. (L/N)-" You began before handing him the folder, he took it gingerly. "-however, please do take time to read the contract that we made. It includes the conditions that the four models will be agreeing to."
He opens it and reads through it, you saw the way that the side of his lips would twitch in annoyance. You knew that he read the parts about not agreeing to wear any clothes made out of animal skin or fur that was taken through abuse. He grabbed a pen and signed. You thanked him and took it from him.
"Very well," You saw a tired smile on his face, "Jihye will give you a call the moment that a project will be ready for them. Thank you for considering, (Y/N)." You nod, and turned on your heel. You didn't really have anything else to say.
You cursed upon seeing how many hours had passed since when you first left the house. You didn't get to leave food for Jimin to heat up, and he was probably hungry after watching Food Network all day. You knew because everyday, he'd come home wanting a new kind of dish.
"You smell like him." You were already expecting that kind of greeting the moment that you stepped inside the house, leaving your shoes outside. His eyes then drifted towards the arm which was covered with a plaster the moment that you took your jacket off and hung it.
"(Y/N)?! What did he do to you? Are you okay?" He rushes over towards you and gently takes your arm in his hands, the worry on his face had almost caused the irritation that you were feeling earlier to disappear.
"I'm fine, Jimin, he patched me up. Nothing happened between the two of us." You were clearly more upset at the fact that he greeted you that way, instead of him welcoming you home with a wide grin on his face.
You made your way over towards the kitchen to get some water. Behind you was the gentle footsteps he made as he followed you. You tried your best to ignore him.
"Noona, please don't be mad." You felt a pair of arms wrapping themselves around you. "Are you going to be okay?" You melted into his embrace as he nuzzled the top of your head with his face.
So much for trying to be upset with him. Jimin had this charm which made him adorable and hard to resist. You mentally cursed realizing that out of all the traits he could pick up from being a dog, it had to be that.
"I'll be fine," You were happy that he wasn't facing you so he couldn't see the blush that had formed on your face at his actions. It would fuel his pride. "Are you hungry? We can go have lunch outside." You suggested, remembering the idea that you had earlier. His grin widened when you faced him after your face had managed to revert to its usual color.
"Can we have samgyupsal?"
"Jimin, if you eat too fast you'll end up choking." The two of you drove to the nearest Samgyupsal restaurant, it was fortunately also one of the best. You wondered why you never brought Jimin here yet.
"But it's so good, Noona!" He whined after swallowing another piece of meat. You couldn't help but feel jealous at the fact that he was naturally lean. He wasn't the type to exercise, unless he secretly did during the times that you were away.
Everything was almost perfect until:
"The guy in the gray shirt is so cute!" You heard one of the girls seated adjacent to your table, they were obviously fawning over Jimin who had been clueless and focusing on his food the entire time.
"Too bad he looks like he's taken," Another added, you found yourself smiling unconsciously.
'That's right, back off.' You thought triumphantly, but then, you realized that you were accepting the fact that they thought your dog was your boyfriend.
"He called the girl 'Noona', she's so lucky!" The third girl said, this time, you didn't want to listen in on their conversation, you shot them an annoyed look before stabbing a piece of vegetable with your fork.
Then you saw Jimin staring at you with a piece of meat sticking out of his lips. He took it fully into his mouth, chewed and swallowed.
"Are you..." He asked after his mouth had been vacated of food, you stuffed a piece of meat into your own and chewed slowly. Only humming a response.
"Hmm?"
"Are you jealous?" You cough and chugged down a glass of water the moment that you heard what he said. He gave you a concerned look and the moment that you were sure the meat wasn't lodged in your throat, you gave him a bewildered look.
"What made you say that?"
"You were glaring at the girls over there." He snickers you were tempted to glare at him but tried your best to control your temper.
"I was not!" You defend yourself. Although his words had been true, you couldn't accept the fact that you were being really petty. You were never the type to get jealous or upset over the smallest things.
"No need to be shy about it," He giggles, eyes forming crescents the moment a grin found itself on his lips. "You're cute when you're jealous." You roll your eyes before diverting your attention back to your food.
He mumbles the next part, not realizing that you had clearly heard it.
"You should be jealous more often."
You couldn't help but blush more and stuff a piece of meat in your mouth. You tried to hide it by taking a sip from your glass before realizing that it was empty. This only caused your blush to grow a darker shade of red which he noticed.
He teased you about it and you teased him about having a piece of food stuck on his cheek. He struggled to remove it so you repeated the actions that you had done at the ramyeon place.
"You're such a baby, Jimin." You tell him after setting aside your utensils. You were stuffed.
"If I get to be babied by you, then I'd willingly have you call me baby anytime, Noona." He grins at you. You rolled your eyes for the nth time that day. It was a playful one, of course.
"Oh," He spoke up once again, "Isn't baby a term of endearment for humans, (Y/N)? Does that mean that I can call you baby too? The people on TV do it." You groan at his words, he had no idea what he was doing and yet he was getting you worked up.
"I think that you're watching too much, Jimin." You rub your temple. "I should enroll you in classes or something. Don't you only watch cooking channels though?" You couldn't help but wonder.
"Jin hyung loves watching dramas."
Maybe next time, you'll drop him off at Hoseok's place instead. You hoped that Yoongi would influence him to be a bit lazier.

Jealous (y/n) makes me soft.
Chapter 19: Chapter 19
Chapter Text
About 2 weeks have passed and things have been going well at home and at the shows. You didn't just handle Kai now, you also handled Felix and three other dogs. Fortunately, it was rare for conflicts to happen seeing that they had different schedules.
During those days, you found yourself growing closer towards Jimin. More than you thought you ever would.
"Noona, I think that dress looks great on you."
He told you during the time that you took him out to shop for clothes. It was supposed to be a day for him but instead, he urged you to buy clothes and helped you choose. You were surprised that he was actually critical about the clothes and didn't say that you looked good in all of them.
"Can I go with you to the show? I can't watch out for you here at home."
He managed to convince you and things were okay, except for the fact that he would give Taeyong and Sehun glares everytime that they came too close.
"Do you really have to train the other dogs today? Spend the day with me."
He tackled you to the bed that one time and crushed you with his weight. Not allowing you to go anywhere. You had to reschedule all your training sessions for that day. Just so that you could spend more time with the needy boy.
"Jimin, are you ready?" You called out to the blonde after you shutdown your computer. You just finished checking emails.
"Yup, Noona!" He hollers back finally making an appearance from the room, "do I really have to wear this though?" He refers to the denim jacket and denim pants that he's wearing.
You found yourself staring, you there thought that denim on denim would look good but here was Jimin pulling it off so effortlessly. You stop your staring and nod.
"You look really good Jimin," You said walking towards the door, your back was turned against him so he couldn't see the faint blush of embarrassment that was beginning to form, "Let's go pick up the others."
The two of you pass by Namjoon's house first, the drive going there was filled with Jimin asking you what he had to do and whether there would be a lot of people. You knew that he wasn't asking because he was nervous. Rather, you knew that they boy thrived off attention, he was once a golden retriever after all.
"Don't intimidate the others too much, Jin." Namjoon gently nudged Jin out the door, you found yourself giggling at his response.
"I can't help it that I'm too handsome. Are you going to miss me, Joonie?"
Namjoon looks at you with wide eyes and hisses at Jin, you couldn't help but suspect something going on with the two.
You knew how Namjoon was the kind to keep things quiet, imagine having a partner like Jin. You wouldn't exactly say that they were polar opposites, but you were certain that Namjoon was always on the edge. You decided not to say anything and simply smile before leading Jin to the car. He and Jimin sat behind and compared outfits.
"Jimin," Jin groaned and you heard shuffling from behind you, "You should unbutton the top more," He said.
"I think that it's fine this way, Hyung." You saw Jin lean in towards Jimin on the mirror and noticed how Jimin's cheeks turned bright pink. You ignored them and focused on the road.
Next stop was Hoseok's place.
"Hobi! Is Yoongi ready?" You hollered looking around for the cheerful man.
"Oh? That's today?" Those were your friend's first words the moment that he stepped out of his room, you figured that it was your yelling that woke him up. He was still clad in a pair of loose pajamas and a shirt torn in some place.
You didn't want to know what caused those tears.
"Did you forget?" You whined, if Yoongi took his sweet time getting ready, you were all going to be late.
"He's already up and just got out of the bathroom," Hoseok reassured you, you felt a bit relieved. "I'll tell him to get ready."
Not even 5 minutes later, Yoongi revealed himself dressed in the same denim jacket and pants that the other two were wearing.
"This better be worth it," He grumbled and walked out the door not bothering to greet you. "I'm calling shotgun." You didn't mind, most of the time he was asleep.
You certainly didn't want blood stains on the seats either.
Last stop was Jungkook's house, you couldn't help but feel anxious at the thought of seeing him again. You would occasionally bump into him during the shows, you'd wish him luck but most times he would choose to ignore you. People also began to notice the distance between the two of you.
Not that it was any of their business. You were actually surprised that he responded to your text regarding the four's first project. It was a very short answer, but it was still answer.
You found yourself standing nervously in front of his house, you wondered if you should just barge in like you usually would. But that would be too much of you if you did that, you didn't want to upset him further.
So you pressed on the doorbell, instantly, the door opened to reveal Jungkook. He gave you the same cold gaze that he had been giving during the shows the past few days. They held indifference and you tried your best to not appear intimidated.
"Hey, Kooks," You greeted, before you could say anything else, he opened the door wider and looked behind him.
"Tae's getting ready, he'll be down in a bit." After saying those words, he was about to walk away. But acted upon instinct and you grabbed his wrist, you had enough of the silent treatment that he was giving you.
"Why are you still ignoring me?" You asked him, he barely shot you a glance. But you squeezed his wrist which caused him to sigh.
"You wouldn't understand."
You were irked by his answer but you took a deep breath to calm yourself, your grip around his wrist loosening.
"If you don't tell me, then I really won't understand." You reason out. "Please, Jung-"
"I'm ready!" Taehyung came bounding down the stairs with a wide grin on his face. If it weren't for the seriousness of the situation, you would have gawked at him. For once, you saw Jungkook crack a smile at him.
"You best be going," He momentarily turned to face you and pulled his wrist away. "Good luck today, Tae, you look great." He gave another warm smile at the black-haired boy.
He walks inside leaving you and Taehyung outside, the door closes but you found yourself staring at it for a brief second. You wondered if things were ever going to be okay between the two of you.
"(Y/N)," Taehyung's voice snaps you back to reality. "He doesn't hate you, you know." He gently says you only muster a small smile in attempts to assure him that you're okay.
"Let's go, Tae." He shoots you a worried look before he's called by Jin, he immediately rushes towards the car and you follow soon after.
"I'll have to talk to Sehun soon."
The shoot was going surprisingly well, you were expecting having to watch the four boys like a hawk, or having to assist them or teach them what to do. They didn't have much trouble following the director's directions and posing as if they've done it all their lives.
'Is this the human version of stacking?'
"Who are these boys, Ms. (L/N)?" Before you could ponder over the thought one of the assistants had approached you, she had a dreamy look on her face as she looked at the four boys. "They're naturals. Where did you find them."
You were tempted to say that you didn't find them and rather, they were dogs that turned into humans one day. You didn't want to risk being labelled as crazy so you only smiled.
"It's a secret," It wasn't technically a lie, it was more of a creative truth. It was really something that should have been kept as a secret.
The boys just finished with their group shots, and were about to move on to their solo pics. Soon after, they would change into another set of clothes which you checked if they adhered to your contract. Fortunately, the company was honoring your contract.
Your eyes drifted from each one, observing the differences of their poses. Jin knew how to angle himself to show his broad shoulders and manly physique. Yoongi gave an impression that although people found attractive, they couldn't bring themselves to approach him whenever he would be lounging on the sofa. Among the four boys, he was the most quiet one.
You knew who to look for if you needed a mannequin.
Taehyung's blank stares had earned him the most attention, the make up artists were troubled not knowing how they could further improve the boy's handsome face.
For this set, Jimin was last to come up. He was friendly towards the staff but would look at you every once in awhile as if asking for permission. You would only chuckle and offer him a small smile. He appeared to be timid off set, but the moment that he was in front of the camera. It's as if he had multiple facades.
His eyes weren't sweet and gentle, they were the same eyes that he had when he followed Jin's advice.
He gave the camera a sultry gaze. You could tell that the women in the area were enticed by his stare and suggestive pose. Leaning against the wall while running a hand through his soft locks. His lips were slightly open further revealing his pink full lips.
You didn't mind the others staring, but turning your gaze towards the door, your blood ran cold upon seeing Jihye standing there.
You didn't like the way she was looking at Jimin.

Message: Hey, Kooks, I decided that I our friendship was more important to me than any title I can receive in the shows or any client that I may have. I'm going to end things with Sehun now, I hope that you'll stop ignoring me. I lowkey miss you.
You sent the message before the traffic light went green, you were just a few minutes away from your soon to be ex client's house. In your head, you were practicing the lines that you were going to say, and hoped that he would take things well.
You arrived, hoping that it would have taken a bit longer, but you found yourself staring at the dreaded house inside the car. With a sigh, you opened the door and walked out.
"For Jungkook." You encouraged yourself, knowing that it would be for the best. You knew that there would only be two outcomes, Sehun takes it well or he hates you for it. You shot him a text.
To: Sehun
Message: Hi, Sehun. Was wondering if I could talk to you about something? I'm outside your house.
Soon after, the door opened to reveal the straight faced man. The moment that he saw you, he raised a delicate eyebrow before letting you in.
"You're early today," He remarked, closing the door behind you the moment that you stepped inside. It was the second time that you entered his house and probably the last time. "Are you done training with Kai?" He asked you which caused a lump to get hitched in your throat. You spun to face him.
"Sehun, there's something I have to tell you." You begin, threading your words carefully. "I have to drop you as a client."
Maybe you were a bit too frank, but you didn't want to sugar coat things. Sehun's eyes grew wide before a scowl formed on his lips. Unconsciously, you found yourself backing from him as he took a step closer.
"Why is that?" He asked, you could see how he struggled to keep his frustration from spilling over. That moment, you knew that you fucked up. "I bet that it's the Jungkook boy who's telling you to stop handling for me?" You flinch at his words.
He hit the bullseye pretty fast, but you kept your mouth shut as your eyes remained locked with his.
"Right, I'm not surprised." He sighed and rubbed his right temple in irritation. "Some friend he is, quite greedy don't you think?"
It was your turn to look at him quizzically, unsure of what he was implying.
"What are you-"
"Ever since you started showing-" He cut you off, taking another step closer towards you, and you mimicked by taking a step back. "-you'd always get the top titles. To think that he'd go this low."
You knew that Jungkook would never think this way, even if the two of you were the greatest rivals. He always encouraged you and cheered you on, sure the two of you teased each other often, but it would never go to the point that you would try to pull the other down. Even if Jungkook was acting unreasonable now, it never crossed your mind that it was because of envy.
"Look, Sehun," You begin with a sigh, "I don't care about what you're going to say." You tell him honestly, observing as his expression remains annoyed. "I've decided, and I'm sure that you can handle Kai yourself."
He was one of the best handles after all.
Sehun clicks his tongue and whispers something like the words, 'back up'. But you dismiss it, not wanting to hear anything more from him, you walked around him towards the door.
"I'll be going now, I hope that you and Kai do great in the next shows."
And with that, you left, the moment that you stepped out the door, your phone had vibrated in your pocket. A smile crossed your lips the moment that you read the message.

Message: Are you serious? Let's meet somewhere, (Y/N).
"You just have to buy her Gucci, Chim!" Jimin groaned for the nth time that hour, they weren't making much progress and his friends were suggesting ridiculous ideas. "We just got our paycheck, it would be perfect." Taehyung added, flaunting the small envelope that contained the money that they got from their previous shoot.
"Jungkook should have kept your paycheck," Yoongi grumbled, to which Taehyung put on a hurt expression upon hearing his words.
"Hey! I'm quite responsible and Kookie trusts me!" He protested, puffing his cheeks in defiance.
Yoongi rolled his eyes before grabbing the remote to switch the channel, the sports channel was getting boring. "Wait 'til he picks you up and sees the paper bags that you have."
The moment that Taehyung had been dropped off by Jungkook, and when he found out about Jimin's dilemma in regards to wooing you, he immediately dragged you and an unwilling Yoongi towards the nearest mall.
He ended up buying for himself, of course.
"She's not a very materialistic person, Tae." Jimin sighed, he couldn't find anything that you would have wanted at the mall, thus returning home empty handed. "And I don't think that she's really into expensive things."
He knew that you were simple, you were happy and content with what you had. The only expensive things that you actually had were the grooming equipment that she used to use on you. Not that she could use them anymore.
"I can see why she got upset with you," Yoongi voiced out earning both Jimin and Taehyung's attention, "You actually listened to Jin." Yoongi had a look of disgust on his face as his nose crinkled in annoyance.
It's not that he hated Jin, they all got along pretty well in their own ways. He was just quite aware of how exuberant the eldest could be. And how confident Jin was without really knowing the consequences of his actions and words.
Jimin pouts, "In my defense, Jin was the only other person I really got to talk about (Y/N)-"
"My idea was brilliant!" Jin defends himself, emergencing from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn in his arms. "He just didn't execute it well." He grabbed the remote from Yoongi and switched it back to the cooking channel. Yoongi sighed but no longer said anything.
"When has it ever worked?" Taehyung asked, the thought of trying it on Jungkook had momentarily crossed his mind. He kept those thoughts to himself, of course.
"Of course!" Jin proudly said, plopping down between Yoongi and the two younger boys. "It worked on-"
Yoongi wasn't going to have any of it.
"The best way to woo her is to actually do something for her." He leaned forward to meet Jimin's eyes, the other two were still discussing about their own attempts at wooing.
Jimin cocked his head to the side, trying to avoid the exaggerated movement that Taehyung was doing while talking with Jin who nearly swatted Yoongi in the face, "Like what, hyung?"
He had to admit, that he hasn't heard an idea like this from Jin or Taehyung yet.
Yoongi remained silent for a few moments, biting his lower lip deep in thought as his gaze was focused on the ceiling, as if waiting for an answer to come crashing down on them.
"You can sing, right?" Jimin's eyes widened.
"Huh?"
"You can sing, right?" Yoongi reiterated, trying his best not get irritated with the younger boy. He was the only sane one besides him after all.
"I don't think that I can?" Jimin timidly says, unsure of why his hyung is asking him to do something like that. Was he expecting him to sing to you?
"Maybe you didn't notice," Yoongi smiles, a rare gummy smile of his, "But you sing a lot during our breaks at the shoot." Jimin's eyes widened. "I think that it's pretty decent." Yoongi admits, he looks at the other two in the room to further back him up.
"I think you should sing for (Y/N), Jimin." Taehyung supports the idea.
Jin puffs his chest in arrogant, the bowl of popcorn in his lap nearly spilling over, "Not as good as-"
"Shush, Jin." Yoongi rolls his eyes, his attention is diverted back to Jimin who's still conflicted about the idea. But was considering it. "I have the perfect song for you, we have enough time for you to practice it." Yoongi reaches over for the phone that Hoseok lent him. "I'll have Hobi help us out."

Chapter Text
You found yourself at a Japanese restaurant that served really good ramen. This was the place that you and Jungkook had agreed to meet at.
"Have you been waiting long?" You looked up from your phone to see Jungkook standing in front of you. He pulled the seat and sat across you, you wanted to scream at him for acting so casual after all those days ignoring you.
But it would make it things worse.
"I just arrived a few minutes ago," You tell him, mustering a small smile before placing your phone down on the table. "I ordered your favorite."
This one of you and Jungkook's favorite restaurants to eat at. He would always the same thing so you were pretty confident with what you ordered. It was also dog friendly so you and him used to bring Vee and Chim here.
"Thank you," His eyes crinkled at your words, "Did you..." His voice trailed off, and you cocked an eyebrow at him.
"Did I what?" You urged him to continue what he was saying. Both of you thanked the server who set the two bowls of ramen. The smell of it drafted through the air, and although you wanted to dig in the moment that you laid eyes on it, you and Jungkook were still talking.
"Did you really end things with Sehun?"
"I did," You said, grabbing your chopsticks and separating them. "Even if I don't really understand why you were acting that way." You admitted, you saw him wince a bit at your words, but you were going to be as brutally honest as you could.
"I promise I'll explain to you, (Y/N). But for now, trust me, okay?" You weren't that satisfied with his answer, but you nodded anyways.
"Alright, I trust you." You were just glad that things were getting better between the two of you. Hopefully, they would continue to get better and fights could be avoided.
"I'm starving," Jungkook whined before taking a sip from his soup. You smirk before using your chopsticks to pick up some of the noodles. Before you stuffed it into your mouth you joked.
"Aren't you always?" Everyone knew about Jungkook's insatiable hunger, there was a reason why regardless how people found him attractive, their budgets could not keep up with his appetite.
The two of you laugh, both of you were used to teasing each other. No matter how special your other friends were, you had this friendship with Jungkook that you knew couldn't compare to the others.
"Oh, there's something that I have to tell you, well, me and the other two guys." You cock an eyebrow, looking up from him as you sipped your soup. The two of you were in complete silence as you ate.
Before he could say anything, your phone vibrated on the table, causing it to be felt by both you and him.
"I have to take this," You tell him and he nods in understanding, "It's Hobi." You accept the call and put your phone against your ear.
"Hobi?" You stared at your empty bowl of ramen, wondering if you should get a second serving. Or you should have accepted Jungkook's offer for extra noodles.
"(Y/N), you have to come over quick!" He screams through the phone and you wince at the loudness of his voice. The call quickly ends leaving you extremely worried as your wide eyes locked with Jungkook who gave you a concerned look.
"What was it?" He ask, after dabbing the napkin against the side of his lips and setting it down.
"It was Hobi," You stand, "He told me to come over quickly, but he didn't say why." You grabbed your wallet to leave a bill for the two of you, you wouldn't be needing the change.
Jungkook's eyes widen and he stood as well, he stopped you from getting your wallet and got from his own. Taking out a huge bill and calling for the waiter's attention to indicate that he left it on the table. The waiter bows and Jungkook grabs your arm.
"Tae is there too," The two of you rush out, "Can I ride with you? I walked coming here." You nod, and the two of you hustled to your car. The moment that the engine revved, you stepped on the gas, zooming out of the parking lot. Not caring if you were going above the speed limit.
The two of you arrive, Jungkook's eyes were wide the moment that you looked at him and you saw his hand shaking as he reached for the handle.
"Remind me to never ride with you again, (Y/N)." You would have snickered, but you quickly unbuckled your belt and rushed out of the car. Not bothering to help Jungkook down.
"Jimin?!" You call out, the front door had been unlocked, but strangely enough, nothing had seemed to be wrong. Except for the fact that not a single light was open and there was nobody home.
You also didn't notice that Jungkook no longer trailed behind you.
"None of this is a coincidence,
I'm just going with the flow,
The world is different from yesterday,
Just with your joy."
A soft melody and gentle voice began to travel through the air, you looked around and saw that there was a light in the living room. You walked over there to see Jimin standing there and looking at you.
"The universe has moved for us,
Without missing a single thing,
Because our happiness has been planned,
Cause you love me and I love you."
The room then began to slowly lit up, you saw that it was decorated with yellow christmas lights which resembled clusters of stars in the darkness.
"You are my penicillin,
You saved me,
My angel, my world."
Not once have you heard him sing, it wasn't the typical voice that most guys had. In fact, his was smooth and clear, clean yet powerful. Soothing and something that you knew you could listen to every single second. Even when talking, you found Jimin's voice pleasing to listen to. It always sounded as if he was singing, the way he voiced his words.
"Just let me love you,
Just let me love you.
Ever since the universe was first formed,
Everything has been planned,
Just let me love you."
You never thought that you could call a boy's voice beautiful until now.
"Oh, Jimin," You found yourself walking towards him, careful not to trip over anything in the darkness. "That was beautiful, I didn't even want it to end." Jimin blushes, it could be barely be seen with the dimness of the room.
"Just like you, Noona." Before you could react to his words someone coughs from behind. Followed with a loud shush and hiss.
"It was almost perfect, Jimin!" You identified that as Yoongi's voice. He emerged from the behind of the couch as he put on an annoyed expression on his face.
"Shh, you're ruining the moment, Yoongi." Jin's head and arm popped up as he struggled to pull Yoongi back down, his eyes locked with yours, "Don't mind us, carry on, carry on." He turned to Jimin, "Jimin, you were doing great." He gave the other a thumbs up with his free hand. This only enraged Yoongi even more.
"It was you who told him to say that BS?!"
Jin snarled, "Yes, it was me! And it wasn't BS."
Another head pops from the middle of them, he sighs and uses his body to separate the two and prevent any more fights. He grabbed both of his hyungs by the ears and dragged them away. They groaned in pain, but resumed arguing.
"Keep up the good work, Jiminie."
You chuckle and tightly hug Jimin, you looked up to see the sad look on his face. You reached up to stretch the side of his lips into a smile.
"I think that it was perfect."

Chapter Text
"This goes against the contract, Mr. (L/N)," You whipped out the folder which contained his signature and all the conditions that they had to adhere to. "It was stated that they refuse to wear clothes that had been products of animal skin." You reminded him, a scowl on your face as he sighed.
"They wore wool the last time, there's not much difference." He nonchalantly said, this caused you to groan in annoyance but you put together every last energy that you had to remain professional.
"There is," You said through gritted teeth, "You used dog fur!" You shouted-whisper, fortunately, you and your father were arguing somewhere else.
The moment that you walked inside the wardrobe where the clothes were to be inspected by you, you felt something strange about the clothes presented in front of you. The stylist must have been new, when you asked what material they were made of, she revealed them to be of dog's fur. This was when you marched out of the room and told the boys to stay where they were waiting. You rushed to your father's room, not caring if he had an ongoing meeting.
With the people who exported the cloth that they used.
"Unless you change what they're going to wear, we're leaving." You tell him, you weren't going to have any of this and you certainly weren't going to advocate their abuse.
"There's nothing else avai-" He tried to reason out, but before he could continue, you turned your back on him and walked out.
Your four companions looked at you with confused expressions when you gestured for them to stand up, "We're leaving."
You storm out, not caring that people were staring at you and throwing questions which you avoided. Your four companions tried to catch up after you, staying a safe distance knowing that they didn't want to get caught in your anger.
"(Y/N)," Jimin gently calls out, you feel him placing his hand over your shoulder. "Is everything okay?" You manage to offer him a modest smile, not wanting to lash out at him. You hoped that he would buy it, although you were beginning to think that he saw right through you.
"I'm okay, Jimin." You attempted to reassure him, "Don't worry about me, okay?" Despite you saying that, he looked like he was about to protest, so you beat him to it. "What about we grab something to eat?" You suggested loud enough for the others to hear you. Immediately, Taehyung perked up with a wide boxy smile on his face.
"Convenience store!" He suggested, being the first to rush into your car, followed by the rest. You didn't catch the disappointed look on Jimin's face for avoiding his question and the sigh that followed after. Yoongi took his usual spot at shotgun while Jimin stayed by the right window seat behind the sleeping male.
"Let's meet at the cashier in 10 minutes." You informed them, not really wanting out too late for so long. You just wanted to go home and rest, probably find a way to unleash your fury for the deception that the company tried to pull on you all earlier.
"Let's go together, Yoongi Hyung!" Surprisingly, Taehyung had been the first to claim the irritable male. The other had not said a word and merely followed the younger boy.
"Jimin, they have really nice boxers here," Jin drags Jimin to where the aisle that contained the said clothing article probably was.
You didn't know why that was the first thing that Jin thought of, you originally came here to get food.
Being left alone, you decided that you should get some bottled coffee for when you return home, getting the ones with the least sugar so Jimin wouldn't touch them. And even if he did, he wouldn't get too hyper.
The last time he drank coffee ended in disaster. And it was Jungkook who had to put up with it.
You were done stuffing the items into the basket that you carried, and looked around for your chi- companions. Eventually, you found them by the last aisle. But you could only count three heads.
"You guys done?" You ask, noticing the food items that they each carried. But you also noticed that Jimin was nowhere in sight. "Where's-"
Gunshot.
Your blood ran cold at the sound of a bullet being shot from a gun. Your eyes scanned the room rapidly as you dropped the basket that you were holding.
"Stay here! I'll look for Jimin," You push them towards one of the aisle that wasn't as exposed. Immediately, you ran, as fast as you could to where you heard the bullet had come from.
"Wait, (Y/N)!" Jin attempted to call for you, but Yoongi had pulled him.
"You'll only make things worse, hyung." Yoongi said, Jin knew that he was being serious with the title that the other had called him. He would have cracked a joke if it weren't for the direness of the situation.
You made a last turn and saw Jimin standing against the corner of the store, his hands were raised up in the air as his eyes held panic and fear. Covering him, was a man clad in black, his arms were raised to reveal the gun that he had in his hands.
You ran to him as fast as you could, and tackled the man to the ground. Struggling to take the gun from him.
Gunshot.
Jimin's eyes crack open, he was expecting to feel some kind of pain to surge through his body, but he felt nothing. Instead, he felt the color of his face being washed away to see you lying on the floor. A small pool of blood was beginning to pour from your side. The man in black had rushed out the door of the store, the clerk had tried to run after him with his phone in his hands.
"(Y/N)?!" Jimin rushes to you, feeling tears begin to stain his eyes as his heart began to beat faster than it has before. He lowered himself to you and cradled you in his arms, not caring with blood was beginning to stain his own clothes. You clutch your stomach which had been penetrated with the bullet, you attempted to stop the bleeding and he put his own hand over yours to apply more pressure.
"Someone! Please help!" He screams while trying to cover your wound, tears began to drip from his eyes and you felt it against your cheek.
"I'm glad you're okay, Jimin," You find yourself whispering before trying to hide your coughs, your coughing had only made the pain worsen and you didn't want Jimin to see you like this. "Please don't cry." You begged.
"Noona, please stay awake," He cups your face rubbing his thumb over the spot where his own tears had stained you, not realizing that it was beginning to mix with your own. "The others are gonna come soon."
You wondered if this was going to be the last time that you get to see his warm brown eyes and gentle puppy like features. You wishes that it wasn't this kind of expression.
You barely register what he said and your eyes began to roll into the back of your head, you wished that wasn't the kind of expression that he would have on when you would last see him.
At least a smile to remember him by would have been a hundred times better.
You wished that it wasn't the last time that you would see him.
"Noona! Don't sleep please!"
You could barely register what he said but you heard the faint footsteps begin to approach the two of you. You couldn't tell if your hand was still on your stomach, it had gone numb.
"Jimin!"
Was that Yoongi calling out? You couldn't really tell, everything was growing hazy and blurry. Only the light against Jimin's face could be registered in your head.
"(Y/N)?!" Came a deep voice, but everything was beginning to sound like gibberish, you weren't sure if you could still hold on any longer.
"Jin, quick, dial the hospital."
"Don’t worry about me, Jimin." You managed to say.
Everything went black.

Would you guys read it? Let me know. Anyway, I already published my Jungkook and Taehyung assassin AU on Wattpad. Should I publish it here too? I’ll leave the link it. Chapter Text
He stared at your unmoving figure, his own hand was still clutching yours in attempts to connect with you, in attempts to wake you up. He lip his lower lip in frustration, it had grown chapped over the past few hours.
"Why did you have to stand in front of me?" He asked you, knowning that he wouldn't elicit an answer from you, but still he tried. "I should have gotten shot, not you. I don't know what I'd do without you, (Y/N)."
His thoughts couldn't help but drift back to the last few words that you said to him, he wasn't sure if he had been imagining things out of sheer fear and panic. But he was sure that he heard those 3 words that he had always longed to hear and the full name that you gave him after.
He didn't want to hear it in a time like that.
He rested his head at the bedsheets that his tears were beginning to stain. The boy barely ate, he refused to. He refused to leave your side. He refused to drink which caused his voice to grow hoarse even when he spoke to you.
"I..." "I love you, (Y/N), please wake up." He prayed for a miracle, not caring how hoarse his voice sounded or how desperate he was beginning to appear. He didn't care if he said those words even with nurses or doctors attending to you.
He just wanted you to wake up.
A few minutes of him stroking your hand while tears began to flow freely from his eyes, the door creaked opening. He assumed that it had only been one of the nurses to check on you.
"Oh, hello,"
That wasn't the nurse.
Jimin lifted his head to face the person, his tired brown eyes had met with Jihye's black ones. In her hands, was a basket of fruit and flowers with the company's logo attached to it.
"Jimin, how are you doing?" Jihye ignores you and puts the flowers and fruits on the table adjacent to the door. "You look like you haven't gotten any rest." She attempted to say as lovingly as she could. Batting her eyes at Jimin and sauntering over towards him.
"I'm fine." Jimin managed to say through his disgust. He couldn't believe that the black haired woman would attempt to even flirt at a time like this. He tried his best to tolerate her during photoshoots, even with you glaring at him in the background, but this time, it was different.
"(Y/N) would be really disappointed to see you like this." Still, he knew that there were truth in her words as she stood beside him. "Why don't you come with me? I'll treat you food." She rested her hand over his shoulder, Jimin tried his best to conceal the flinch the moment that her hand came in contact with him.
"I'm really okay, Ji-" She pulls on Jimin's hand, Jimin grits his teeth and shys away. But he was beginning to feel the rumbling of his stomach as it begged for food.
"I'll stay with, Noona," He said, trying to remain firm with his decision.
"Please?" Jihye pleaded, looking at him with the most innocent stare that she could master. "There are something that I'd like to... discuss with you." She pauses for awhile, "It's about (Y/N)."
Jimin takes one look at you and debates whether it would be a good idea to agree to the other's request. He sighed deeply, but he had a feeling that the other wouldn't let him off the hook so easily.
"Okay, but I'll have to be back right away." He gave in.
"Perfect."
"You and (Y/N) seem really close." Jihye said as her eyes remained focused on the road. Jimin was close to vomiting the non-existent food in his stomach at the way that she drove. It was erratic and it made him dizzy.
You never drove this way.
"She was nice enough to offer me a place to live in after coming here," The lies came smooth from his mouth as he attempted to remember the discussion you first had with him.
"So the two of you were acquainted before?" Jihye stops the car in front of a small building with bright decorations, Jimin's eyes take in the building with curiosity. It had stood out in the midst of the darkness of the night.
"Yes," He said, the two of them walk out of the car. Although he stands in front of it, he hesitates to take a step closer towards the building. Unsure of what kind of restaurant had interior that would be so bright and given such a strange name. Before he could back out, Jihye drags him inside, the guy guarding the door allowed them access not even giving a double look at the duo.
"Welcome to the perfect place to wash all your stress away." They walk inside to reveal the one place that he saw in the movies. A nightclub, with multiple people dancing inside and the smell of alcohol reaching his nose.
'What kind of food would they be serving here?'
You found yourself rousing from the slumber that you had no idea lasted how long. The crust that formed at the side of your eyes made it difficult to fully open them and take in your surroudings. You however, saw the strangeness of the bright white room and a figure coming in through the door. You blinked a couple of times before it had registered who it was.
"Joonie?" You call out, your voice nearly cracked and you noticed how dry your throat was. As you attempted to raise yourself on to your elbows, you felt a sharp pain piercing the lower part of your stomach and consequently, you plopped back down on the bed.
"You've come to," Namjoon said with relief as he took a seat beside you, the bed dipping underneath his wait as his look of concern quickly changed to one of pure annoyance.
"What the hell were you thinking? That was the most stupid thing that you've done, (Y/N)." You wince at his voice, you felt like a newborn baby with your senses adjusting to everything.
"Aish, you're too loud," You close your eyes and rub your temple in irritation, facing your fatherly-like friend as you shaded your eyes from the light, "Where's Jimin?" Your eyes widened in surprise, "Is he okay? Did he get hurt?" You found yourself asking multiple questions.
"I just arrived," He admits and you realized that you just saw him walk through the door. "he hasn't left your side since, maybe he's in the bathroom?" He suggest and walks over the bathroom in your room to check. "He's not here?" He calls out.
"Namjoon, could you check if he went to get food?" You ask him, feeling worry begin to form in the pits of your stomach. Maybe you were being too anxious but you were comfortable with how things were getting. You had a very bad feelings.
It was like one of those times when Jimin ate an entire bar of chocolate as a dog and he was quiet the whole day.
Or the time that he wrecked the first mattress that you had which had caused you guys to sleep on the floor for a few months.
"He hasn't eaten since you were confined here, (Y/N)," Namjoon tells you, "I doubt that he would leave your side for food. I guess what they say about Golden Retrievers are true."
"Yeah, and Goldens are known to be notorious eaters." You pause for a moment to think, "How long was I out?"
"It's only the second night," He tells you and your eyes nearly popped from their sockets. If you weren't incapable of moving, you already would have pulled Namjoon down by his shoulders.
"He hasn't eaten for two nights?!" You repeat, how could they not let your poor baby eat? He must be starving or lost a couple of pounds by now.
"We tried to convince him, (Y/N)." The man sighs before sitting down again beside you. "He was really affected by what happened to you." You sigh, you were expecting that, you knew how Jimin would fuss over the smallest things.
You cough loudly which managed to get Jimin to turn his head towards you as he looked at you with concern.
"Noona, are you sick?" He asked you before rushing over to your side. He runs to the kitchen to get you a glass of water to which you gladly accept.
After you finish drinking, you give him a honeyed smile. "I'm alright, Jimin-ah. Thank you," You said while reaching over to pinch his cheeks. You were already feeling a hundred times better just seeing him.
"You should take your medicines," He grumbles, trying to hide his pink cheeks from you. "Or we could take you to the hospital, Jin hyung taught me how to drive."
You were tempted to tell him that him driving could become the reason why they would need to go to the hospital but you kept your mouth shut.
"Where could he be?" A nurse comes in and you try to earn her attention. "Excuse me, Miss?" You call out, causing the nurse to look at you.
"Are you looking for your boyfriend?" She asks you before you could say anything, "He left with the girl who left you flowers and fruits." Before you could correct her with your relationship with Jimin, she pointed towards the flowers and fruits on the table.
You noticed the pitiful look that she was giving you, and you figured that she got the wrong impression.
"How long was he out?" You squinted a bit to look at the label that was attached to the basket, Haweey. The girl that she was most-likely talking about was of course Jihye.
"It's been a few hours," You tried to stand, you weren't happy with the idea that the sly girl was with Jimin. All the worst possibilities came running through your head but you hoped that Jimin was okay. You stumbled when you tried to stand and ended up sitting on the bed.
Namjoon rushed closer towards you and assisted you.
"(Y/N)," Namjoon gently helps you lie down while giving you a look full of concern, something that you didn't need right now. You just wanted to see Jimin, "I'll send everyone a text, okay? We'll find him for you."
"I can't just stay here!" You try to protest, but moving had only caused you to strain your body even more. You winced at the pain that attacked your side, leaving you defeated and slumping back into the sheets.
"You can barely move!" You roll your eyes.
"I can see that," You said, he only ignores the way that you sassed him and grabs his phone. You try to peer at what he was texting and to who, but with the position that he was in, you could only see his shoulders.
"What if something happens to him, Joonie," You finally say after a few moments of silence. It was only you and your friend now, the nurse had left to get you food but you had lost the will to eat.
"Let's be sensible, (Y/N)," He tells you, "What's the worst that, Jihye can do to him, right?"
You ranted to him, but with all the energy you had exerted earlier, you could feel your eyes begin to droop. Despite resisting it, Namjoon humming and telling you to sleep eventually caused you to give in.
You fell asleep.
Namjoon watched your sleeping figure, he could tell that even in your slumber, you were completely distressed. He was worried for Jimin, but he had to remain calm and not add anymore stress to you.
His phone buzzed and he was shaken from his train of thoughts, immediately, he swiped open and read the text coming from the youngest.
From: Jeon Jungkook (Sent to 2 other contacts)
Message: Already a step ahead of you, Hyung. He's here with me. He's resting at my place, I'll head to the hospital to explain everything.

Chapter Text
Your eyes open to see Jungkook in place of Namjoon, your eyes widen the moment that you realized that you fell asleep.
"Fuck, Namjoon." You curse under your breath only to see Jungkook cocking an eyebrow in amusement.
"Good morning to you, too. Not interested, by the way." You roll your eyes and laugh dryly at his humor.
"Have you-"
"Before you ask, Jimin's safe at my place." He beat you and cut you off. You could only sigh in relief but you still wanted details.
"What happened to him, Jungkook?" You asked him, "Was he with Jihye?" You had a good feeling that it was the girl who brought him there.
"He was," He answered causing you to groan in annoyance again, "I spoke to one of the nurses earlier, they overheard Jihye forcing Jimin to come with her. They weren't sure where." You tried your best to remain calm and not spit another curse.
But you didn't succeed.
"That bitch," Jungkook was mentally counting how many times you had cursed. "But where did they go?" You figured that Jungkook must have known given the fact that Jimin was at his place. He handed you a glass of water which you appreciatively accepted.
"They went to a bar." You nearly spat out the water that you were drinking and gave him a look of disbelief.
"Maybe I should have let you drink first."
"What?!" You ignored his last remark and nearly stood, "She let my Jiminie drink?"
You were thinking of multiple ways to murder the girl. But first you had to stand up and get out of the room and hospital you were currently confined in.
But you couldn't do that with Jungkook gently pushing you down, he took a seat next to you as you struggled to break free from his hold.
"Jungkook, will you let me kill-"
"Yes, I'll even help you out," You knew that he wasn't serious about wanting to help you murder someone, he was too kind to do that. But you were dead on serious about brutally murdering Jihye.
Even if you got imprisoned.
"That hoe, I'm going to-"
"Relax, (Y/N). He's fine now." Jungkook reminded you, your hands were still clutched into fists but you tried to calm yourself down.
For now, you needed to see Jimin more than anything. You barely listened to what Jungkook had to say.
"I think that I've pieced everything-" He said, but you tried to stand up once again, ignoring the searing pain by your stomach, you cursed your body for not recovering fast enough.
"Jungkook, I have to see Jimin." You cut him off, and he gives you an incredulous look. You had no idea what was running through his head right now.
"Are you serious, (Y/N)?" You nearly flinch at the tone that he was using to speak to you. You gave him a confused look. "Won't you start thinking about yourself for a second and stop thinking about him?!" You shot him a glare.
"Jimin, comes first before anything, Jungkook."
He glowered and returned the glare that you gave him, his grip on your arm had loosened and you saw him gently bite the inner part of his lower lip.
"I guess that includes our friendship and your well-being, huh?" He finally said which caused your eyes to widen, you try to reach out for him but he avoided your hand.
"I'm done fighting with you, Jungkook," You try to say as gently as you could, you only realized that you must have hurt him a lot.
"I was just-"
"You know, forget it," he stands up, completely ignoring your eyes as he walked towards the door of your room. "I'll go pick Jimin up, Namjoon hyung will be coming in a bit."
"Wait!" Before you could stand up and reach for him, he walked out, leaving you confused and upset.
"What have I done?" You realized that you may have just forever ruined your friendship with Jungkook with what you did.
The drive going to the hospital was quiet, a thousand thoughts were running through both Jungkook and Jimin's heads. Jungkook's eyes remained focused on the road and Jimin twiddled with his fingers.
They were both drowning in the tension that was heavy in the car. No one dared to speak for the first few minutes of the ride. Jimin had seen the way that Jungkook walked into his home, clearly upset and not wanting to be bothered.
But someone had to shatter the silence.
"I'm sorry, Jungkook." Jimin whispered, he knew that he was part of the reason why the exhibitor was upset right now. He didn't know what exactly was upsetting him, but he was sure that he had something to do with it.
"It's fine," Jungkook managed to say, he didn't want to blame Jimin, "Just don't trust anyone other than us, okay?" He tried to gently tell him, it would be the best thing to do to prevent things like that to happen again in the future.
"Why did she do that though?" Jimin's words had caused Jungkook to look at him in confusion, then he realized who he was referring to.
"She was using you, Jimin," Jungkook had a theory of why Jihye had taken Jimin when he was at his worst. And he was glad that he followed them the moment that he saw them exiting the hospital.
"Using me?" Jimin was confused, how was Jihye going to use him.
"It's a bit complicated," Jungkook admitted, and he didn't want to jump into conclusions. "I'll explain everything when..." His voice trailed off and Jimin was able to detect the sadness in his voice. "When (Y/N) is ready to listen."
"She's awake?" Jungkook nods. "Is she okay?" Jimin asked and Jungkook chuckled.
"She is," The black haired boy recalled what had previously happened between the two of them, "She'll be better with you there."
Jungkook escorts Jimin to the room, they arrived at the hospital in record time. He stood in front of the door before moving to the side to let Jimin in.
The smaller boy didn't hesitate to rush to the door and to open it. But a hand on his shoulder had stopped him from fully opening it.
"Jimin," Jungkook called out to him, "Take care of her, okay?"
He didn't need to be told twice.
"(Y/N)?" Your eyes looked up from the book that Namjoon had handed you earlier, it was a catalog of the recent show winners and you were happy to see that they included your picture with Chim.
But seeing Jungkook's photo had caused your heart to sink. You tried your best forget about everything that transpired earlier, but you had no idea that fighting with Jungkook could feel horrible.
The two of you just got better a few weeks ago and now things have gone down the drain once again.
But the moment that you saw Jimin standing in front of the door, tears nearly spilled from your eyes and you felt your heart leaping from your chest.
"I'll visit you later, (Y/N)." Namjoon says, standing up from his seat and walking towards the door. He gave Jimin a nod and a pat on the shoulder before walking out.
Leaving it with just the two of you.
"Jimin," You manage to say, the silence of the room both suffocating in the silence of the room, not really knowing what to say to one another.
"You're okay." The both of you say at the same time.
Jimin rushes over to you and nearly tumbles over the bed, but he skillfully avoids hitting you anywhere that would hurt you and hugged you. Burying his head by the crock of your neck and you felt him begin to shake as he sobbed.
"Why did you take the bullet?" He managed to choke out through his tears, with him crying, you couldn't help but let the tears spill from your own eyes as well, "You... You got really hurt because of me." He added, shaking violently against you.
You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and gently patted his back.
"Because I can't forgive myself if I let anything happen to you." You whisper, burying your face against his soft hair. Jungkook was nice enough to let him use his shampoo, your heart clenched at the thought of your friend but you dismissed it.
"But it's my faul-" You cut him off.
"No, Jimin," You sternly say, using your hand to lift his chin up to face you. Your (e/c) eyes locking his puffy brown ones, "This isn't your fault, okay?" You added. "Stop blaming yourself."
"But, Noona," He protested, "I'm supposed to be protecting you." You couldn't help but smile at the sweetness of his words. He really carried on the heart of gold that he naturally had.
"You did, didn't you?" He stared at you in confusion, cocking his head to the side, "They told me that you didn't leave my side while I was asleep. You protected me that way, Jimin-ah."
"But I left your side," That he did, "I'm sorry for disappointing you." But that wasn't something that you felt towards him.
"Enough with the buts, Jimin." You were having enough of the self blame he was inflicting on himself, "I'm not disappointed in you, okay? You didn't know better." You wiped a tear that stained his cheek.
"I'm just glad that you're safe and you're here."
Both of you were engulfed in silence once again as Jimin pulled you into his arms again, you allowed yourself to melt into his embrace.
"I really missed you, Noona." He whispered, you felt your heart skip a beat.
"I missed you too, Jimin," You tighten your arms around him. Both of you not wanting to move away from the position that you were currently in. Fortunately, you were capable of sitting up without feeling much pain anymore.
After a few minutes of silence, the two of you found yourselves pulling away and lying down side by side, just staring up at the ceiling and enjoying the peace that the quiet provided.
"(Y/N)?" He broke the silence again.
"Hmm?" You merely hummed a response as you stared blankly at the plain white interior that the room had. Your home for the past few days.
"I really love you," This wasn't the first time he said those words, "more than anything." He added.
"I love you too, Jimin." It wasn't the first time that you said those words either, but somehow, you felt as if this time you said it differently.
"(Y/N)," Namjoon calls out, "Don't get too attached."
"I won't."
"More than I probably should." You whisper the last few words, Jimin had fallen asleep with his face buried at your side as he curled up next to you.
'I'm sorry, Namjoon.' You knew that you couldn't keep your words and promises.
Chapter 25: Chapter 25
Chapter Text
"Thanks for driving us home, Joonie." You smile brightly at your friend the moment that you saw your house in view. He carefully parked in front of it before switching off the engine.
You rarely got to ride his car, he had the reputation of destroying the things that he touch. You never told him that was the reason why you would try your best to refuse him driving.
"Well, I can't exactly have you driving" He chuckled lightly before glancing behind him, "and Jimin attempting to drive would obviously end as a disaster," Jimin pouts from behind before he could protest both you and Namjoon walked out of the car.
"Take care heading home, Joonie." You say after he had escorted both you and Jimin towards your door, "Would you like anything to eat or...?" He shook his head no and gave another of his famous dimpled smiles.
"Do you want me to end up at the hospital next, (Y/N)?" You opened your mouth to protest but he beat you to saying anything, "I'm surprised that Jimin's still surviving with your cooking." You roll your eyes.
"I love noona's cooking," Jimin pipes in defending you, the older man had been outnumbered. Namjoon cocks an eyebrow at him before turning back to you.
"I'll head home now, don't want to keep Jin waiting," He turned on his heel in the direction of his car, "Oh, and open my present first, (Y/N)." Before you could question him regarding his words, he rushed inside his car and drove off.
Jimin opens the door for you and you both walk inside, Jimin closed the door and you were met with a living room table with wrapped gifts and flowers.
You really had the greatest friends.
"They really didn't have to," You say before looking over at Jimin who had a frown on his face while he stared at his feet.
"I didn't get you anything, Noona." He admits sadly, clearly upset that he had been outdone. You walk over to him and hug him tightly.
"You don't have to get anything for me, Jimin-ah." You comfort him, you weren't even expecting anything from anyone. Jimin sighed deeply before answering.
"Alright, I don't mind as long as it's them." He admitted with a small smile gracing his lips.
You rushed over to the table and began to check out the gifts from your friends. The smallest was a letter which was from Namjoon, you opened it to reveal that it was a bunch of food coupons for the food park that you guys you usually ate at whenever a celebration would be done.
A paper bag contained an item wrapped in soft paper, you quickly unwrapped it and saw a paper that fell out, the gift was from Hoseok. It was a shirt that you had ranting to him about wanting but you would always get lazy to order it.
This came just in time, I J-Hope that you like it!
You couldn't help but chuckle at the pun that he put, he always insisted that you call him by that name but none of you listened to him anyways.
You picked up a lazily wrapped item next and noticed how the item was soft, you squeezed it a few times wondering who it came from. You saw a card on the side.
I didn't really know what to get you but Hobi insisted that I get you something. Hope that you feel better soon. (This doesn't mean that we're friends. You still keep waking me up for useless shit.)
A grin formed on your lips and you ripped the wrapping. Peeking out was a black ear and you opened the whole thing to see that it was a stuffed bear.
'Isn't this kumamon?' You realized that he got something that he would have gotten from himself. You weren't complaining though.
The colorful bouquet of flowers had turned out to be from Jin, the moment that you picked it up, a small card fell out with words neatly scribbled on it. You heard Jimin scoff when he saw the backside of it and you turned it to see a picture of Jin.
Underneath the bouquet of flowers was a small box of Godiva chocolate.
It's not Gucci but it could be the Gucci of chocolate. Get well soon, (Y/N)!
Even without a name on it, it was obvious that it came from Taehyung. The male had insisted on wearing Gucci to one of the shoots but of course, it was a different company so you couldn't have him promote another brand.
After you finished opening them all, you couldn't help but feel your heart sink at the fact that Jungkook didn't get you anything. It's not that you wanted an item, even a text or a message from him would have been enough.
It didn't have to put one and one together to realize that you two still weren't okay.
"Noona, I'll order Chinese food." Jimin hollers from the kitchen, there probably wasn't any food left in the fridge.
"Alright!" You holler back, "Extra noodles for me!" You added. It's been awhile since you had real food, hospital food was just too bland. And you were hungry, you didn't want to eat the Godiva on an empty stomach.
You went to check your email, realizing that you disappeared for quite a few days and your clients probably didn't know anything. You were going to send out apologies to each one of them, but the moment that the mail loaded, your eyes nearly popped from their sockets.
"What the hell?" You whisper, only to feel Jimin putting his chin on top of your head, you were too shocked to scold him for the gesture.
"What's wrong, Noona?" He asked you, you scrolled through the emails that were sent to you. Unable to find your voice.
"All my clients have cancelled their sessions with me." You said in disbelief, almost all of them had emailed you the same thing.
Your phone buzzes and you are momentarily distracted from reading through all the emails.
From: Hobi Sunshine Man
Message: (Y/N), I think you should see this.
[Click to open attachments]
Your eyes widen at what you see, you figured out what had caused the endless cancellations being sent to you. And it made your blood boil.
A text from Sehun telling everyone that you abused Kai.
A picture of you pulling on Kai's leash hard, and a picture of him beat up. From the time that he got attacked by another dog.
Before you could react, your phone vibrates multiple times indicating a call, you saw it was from your two friends so you accept it.
"Guys, this isn't true," You find yourself defending yourself, the disbelief in your voice had been clearly evident.
"Don't worry, (Y/N), we believe you." Hoseok was the first to speak after you. You felt a bit of the weight to lift from your shoulders when you heard him.
"What happened to his dog, though?" Namjoon asked next.
"It was the day after Kai won BIS and BIS 2 when I first handled him, we got attacked by a dog while we were walking back to Sehun's house." You begin, still remembering what had occurred that day, "I was pulling on his leash before he could approach the other dog, I didn't know that Sehun was taking photos."
"That bastard." Namjoon rarely swore so you were a bit surprised at his words.
"Things will get better, (Y/N), we promise." Hoseok said, trying his best to cheer you up. "For now, let's start a text brigade to the other people at the show." He added, although, you weren't too sure that his plan would work.
"We'll help you out, it wouldn't hurt to try, right?" Namjoon sided with your other friend. "For now, get some rest."
"Thank you, guys." The call ended, you were feeling more drained than ever with what just happened. You walked towards your room, "Jimin, call me when the food's here." You didn't wait for a response and curled up in your bed, you just wanted to forget everything for a bit and to sleep.
Your reputation had been ruined, and you weren't sure if it could ever be fixed. Nothing was going right.
In your distraught, you didn't notice the way that Jimin clenched his fist as he stared at your room's door.
"I won't let him get away with this, (Y/N)."
Chapter 26: Chapter 26
Chapter Text
"Oh?" The door finally opens to reveal a newly awoken Sehun, "What brings you here?" He asks running a hand through his bed hair after yawning.
Jimin glares at the taller man, he had been standing outside in the heat not to be treated this way. He hated how nonchalant the other was acting.
"Why would you lie?" He wasn't going to beat around the bush, he was going to go straight to the point. After what he did to you, he wanted answers.
"About?" This further irked him, Jimin found himself taking a step closer towards the exhibitor.
"Don't act dumb," Jimin snarls, not intimidated by the other's height and cold expression.
"Oh, hang on there, dog," Sehun unknowingly pushed a button with his insult, "I have no idea what you're talking about." He adds, cocking an eyebrow as if to back up his confusion.
"I'm talking about the rumours that you spread about, (Y/N)." Jimin elaborates, trying his best to keep his anger contained, it was threatening to spill over any minute now.
"Oh that?" Sehun's eyes lit up as a smirk crosses his lips, "Those aren't rumours. They're creative truths." He shrugs his shoulders before turning on his heel to walk back into his house. But an arm tightly grasping his elbow had stopped him.
"Why did you lie?" Jimin rephrased his former words, he wasn't going to let the man just get away with what he did. He knew that (Y/N) would never treat any dog that way. And he fully believed the story that she told Namjoon and Hoseok.
"That's for me to know, and for you to never find out." Sehun teased, pulling his arm away from Jimin which only caused the grip to further tighten. Even if Jimin was smaller in size and stature, he was strong.
"Tell them the truth." He ordered through gritted teeth. Sehun chuckled before spinning around to meet Jimin's eyes.
"Where's the fun in that?" The words rolled from his mouth smoothly, Jimin had enough of him and knew that they weren't going to get anywhere.
He pushed him the moment that Sehun closed in on him to intimidate him. He was going to push through with plan B and get Jungkook to talk.
"You're going to regret that, boy." He roughly grabbed Jimin's arm before he could walk away, digging his nails into the fair flesh enough to draw blood.
You sigh, no one has responded to the texts that you sent out. You spent the whole morning with the text brigade that Hoseok had planned for you. The ones who replied had only caused you more heartache and confusion.
Serves you right.
You're a disgusting human being.
You don't deserve any of those wins.
"I should pick Jimin up," You say after seeing the time on your phone, you find yourself dragging yourself off the sofa and walking towards the door.
You felt like a zombie.
Your hand pressed against the door's cold handle and you opened it, hurriedly walking out, you collided into something.
Or someone.
"Oh." You oomph. You looked up and your eyes widen the moment that they met with eyes with the same color as yours.
Your blood ran cold.
"(Y/N)," Your father welcomes himself into your house, making you move to the side to allow him access. You watched in shock as he silently criticizes your home, "Your place isn't so shabby after all," he says, "still, it doesn't befit you."
"Why are you here?" You immediately ask him, ignoring his previous remark. You were tempted to rub your eyes to see if your head was messing with you.
"Is it wrong of me to visit my darling daughter?" He said with hurt, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes at his words. You knew how fake they were.
"What's your purpose, father." You didn't have time to entertain him, you still had to pick Jimin up, but you couldn't leave him inside your house.
Your father's eyes darkened at your words and you could tell that he was trying his best to restrain himself from glaring at you or shouting.
"I've decided that it's time for you to come back home," You scoff, you couldn't help but think of how ridiculous his words were.
"And you think I'll agree because...?" A mocking smile manages to cross your face further upsetting him, you were waiting for him to give in and break, you weren't used to him being all polite and civil.
"Are you living with someone? I heard from Jihye that you're housing someone." You nearly hissed at the mention of the dreaded woman's name. You wondered how your mother could tolerate her.
You straighten your pressure, to show him that he certainly was not above you.
"Yes, I am." You said, "He's one of your models." He cocked an eyebrow before the side of his lip had ever so slightly twitched.
"I don't think that it would be safe for you to live with him." He shuffles through his slack's pockets to reveal two printed photos and handing them to you.
It was a picture of Jimin drunk at the bar, you knew this was the time that he was with Jihye, was she stupid enough to think that Jungkook wouldn't tell you?
The second one, however, had greatly surprised you. It was a picture of Jimin pushing someone, but you couldn't really tell who it was with the way the face was being covered.
Maybe he got someone to fake a picture for him.
"Look at him," He breaks you free from your train of thoughts,
"isn't that enough for me to worry about my daughter?" Again, you roll your eyes.
"I don't believe this," You raise the paper up and tear it in front of his eyes before tossing it to the side, "You think that I would fall for this bullshit, dad?"
"He's already influenced you, you never cur-" You knew this time he was just trying to find anything to blame on Jimin, you weren't having any of it.
"Will you just leave?" You cut him off, not caring how disrespectful you seemed to be. You weren't going to respect a liar. "I'm not going anywhere, I'm not living with you ever again!"
"I warned you, (Y/N)," He easily gives in which causes you to grow curious, but you remain firm with your decision to wait for him to leave. "I'm certain that it won't be too long when you come running to me with your tail between your legs, when that time comes, you'll realize how much you need us." He leaves, the door closing loudly behind you.
You were going to be late because of him, you hurriedly grabbed your phone and dialed Hoseok's number while walking towards the car, you waited a few minutes to make sure that he was gone.
He picks up the moment that you fasten your seatbelt.
"Hobi, I'm heading over to pick Jimin up."
"Huh?" Your heart drops at his confusion, "I thought that he was already with you?"
"I haven't picked him up yet." You stuff the keys and turn on the car. "I'm on my way." You drop the call and step on the gas.
Then your thoughts drifted to the second picture that your father had showed you earlier.
"Jimin, where the hell did you go?"

Chapter Text
"(Y/N), I'm so sorry." Hoseok apologized for the nth time since you arrived, you paced back and forth in thought and worry. "I didn't notice Jimin leaving earlier. Yoongi was with me the whole time too." He explained and you nodded, offering him the most sincere smile that you could put on your face right now.
You were just so tired of everything. But you didn't want to lash out on your friends, you didn't want to risk losing another one.
You sigh, "It's okay, Hobi. We just have to look for him." Not that you had any leads of where he could be. All of you remained in silence, you could hear your mental clock ticking tauntingly.
He could be anywhere, he could be hurt, he could be lost. You wished that you provided him with a phone to have means to contact him.
"(Y/N)," Namjoon gently nudged your shoulder causing you to look at him, "Did Jimin overhear you talking to us about Sehun?"
"I was in the kitchen that time and he was..." Your eyes widen in realization, "Yes, he probably did."
"Do you think that he...?" Hoseok's words trailed off but you knew that you were thinking of the same thing. Namjoon nodded, no longer waiting for Hoseok to continue his question.
"It's a possibility," His speculations had high possibility of being real, "but how would he know the directions going to-"
"He knows because he memorizes all the places that I go to," You tell him, Jimin all about your clients, the location and your schedule. "He doesn't allow me to go without knowing."
The bursts open to reveal Jungkook and Taehyung, they rush inside, Jungkook taking lead as he faces you.
"(Y/N)!" Jungkook begins, you're too shocked to react to him shaking you, "I think that-"
Before he could continue with what he was saying your phone vibrates, instinctively, you opened it and gasp loudly.
A picture of Jimin tied up against a chair all beat up and wounded. Jungkook seed is and stops with what he was saying, eyes widening as he lets go of you.
"He-" You couldn't form any words, Namjoon and Hoseok find themselves looking at the picture. This earns Jin's and Yoongi's attention who had been sitting quietly on the sofa.
"Oh my god."
"Who-"
"Sehun," You grit your teeth. He was daring enough to send it with his number. As if taunting you.
"We should go to the-" Your phone suddenly shuts down, you mutter a curse and wait for it to boot up.
"What happened?" Hoseok asks, watching as the screen darkened and lit up again. You bit your lower lip, feeling nervous for some reason.
Everything seemed normal when you opened the phone, all the colourful icons were still in place and you didn't care if they saw that the lock screen was a picture of Chim.
However, for some reason, the moment that you looked again the picture and all your conversations with him had already been erased.
"What the fuck," You curse loudly, and everyone seems to understand what had caused your distress. You repeatedly scroll up and down through the messages hoping that it had just got mixed up with the others.
"I'm certain that it won't be too long when you come running to me with your tail between your legs, when that time comes, you'll realize how much you need us."
You hate to admit it, but maybe he was your only chance to save Jimin. You had no proof whatsoever to present to the police even if you wanted to formally report to them. No one would believe you.
You knew what you had to do, and you forgot about everyone in the room. You ran out, dodging the people who had blocked you from the door.
"Wait! (Y/N)-" Jungkook grabs your arm in attempts to stop you.
"Kooks, save this for later, please." You beg him and pull away, defeatedly, he let you go. Knowing that you weren't going to listen to anything that he was going to say.
You found yourself running inside Haweey when one of the employees attempted to stop you.
"Excuse me!" You show him your card before running into the elevator, the man was baffled by how rushed you seem and you bumped into multiple people along the way. Apologising to them who glared at you.
Somehow, you found the courage, you stood in front of your father's office. Not once did you think that you would ever come here willingly. It hurt your pride.
But right now, you knew that he had influence. And if you sacrificed something, he would be willing to help you.
"Oh, (Y/N)?" He looks up from the papers that he was signing the moment that you opened the door and walked in. "What brings you here?"
"I need your help," You mumble. Still hesitant to ask him for anything.
"With what, dear?" You nearly gag at the term of endearment that he gave you. But this wasn't the time to sass him. You find yourself drawing nearer to him.
"With Jimin," You begin, "Someone that I know kidnapped him, and he hurt him..." You were unsure of what to say, you felt ridiculous.
But you needed to do this for Jimin.
Your father looks at you as if he were deep in thought, drumming his fingers against his polished wooden desk.
He was mocking you.
"Oh, the deviant." He hums lowly before standing, "You do know that if you ask for my help, there is something that I have to ask you in return."
You winced, knowing that he would be pulling this card. So you beat him to saying it.
"I'll stop showing and I'll start working here." You saw how his lip twitched in amusement, "I won't disobey you anymore and I'll do whatever you ask me to." you add, hoping that would be enough to convince him.
You fail to notice the triumphant crinkle in his eyes as you said those words.
"Look at you child, although I didn't you teach you to do that, you still came here running with your tail between your legs." He repeated the words from earlier, further hurting your pride.
Right now, you no longer cared.
"Please..." You said. Eyes no longer meeting with him as your pride had crumbled beyond recognition.
"That's quite an offer I can't refuse." He gets a folder, you had no idea what was inside but you were sure it was something that he prepared for a day like this, "Sign this, and I promise you that I'll keep Jimin safe."
"She refused?" Sehun chuckled dryly before asking, "So we proceed with it?" He answers in affirmation before closing the phone. A wide grin on his face as he turned to see the individual tied up against a chair.
"Looks like you'll be staying here for quite some time, Jiminie." He mocked, eyeing the nearly lifeless figure who still managed to glare, "What about we have a little bit of fun?"
"What are you doing? Don't you dare touch (Y/N)!" Jimin summoned the strength to speak out. His skin was beginning to feel raw after being tied up tightly against the chair. The taller man didn't do it very gently either.
"Oh, you don't have to worry about her." He nears Jimin a wicked smile on his face. He leaned in towards Jimin, his face nearing his ear. "You need to worry about yourself.
Jimin groans when he gets kicked, the chair had toppled over causing him to slam hard against the wooden floor.
"There, picture perfect." He grabbed his phone and pointed it at Jimin, "Smile for the camera, Jiminie." Sehun admires the picture that he took before sending it to you.
"Do anything that you want to me," Jimin says, spitting out blood after he gets kicked in the stomach, "Just don't hurt her." Sehun groans in annoyance before kicking him again.
"Where's the fun in that?" He roughly stands the chair up and grabs a handful of Jimin's hair, "You're willing to be hurt for her? What are you to her, anyways?"
Jimin growls, spitting at Sehun.
"You don't know her." Sehun gives him a look of discuss before he gets slapped in the face.
"Of course I do," He says with a singsong voice. "She's the sly bitch who's been stealing all my wins at the shows. She doesn't even deserve those. Who does she think she is, just prancing in with a Golden Retriever one day? That's the only reason why she wins anyways, because she's been holding a nice dog from the start."
Jimin snarls, clearly not agreeing with Sehun's words.
"She worked hard for all those wins." Jimin gets kicked again, he gasps loudly.
"No, she had everything come to her easily." Sehun disagreed, "She doesn't deserve to hold another dog in the ring."
Sehun was getting bored, he spun on his heel to leave Jimin in the room. He had done his job.
But Jimin's words had stopped him in his tracks.
"Who would have thought that you would go so low?" Jimin chuckles dryly "Just accept the fact that she's a better handler than you and that she conditions her dogs better." He proudly said, he was speaking from experience after all.
"Everyone knows that you try to seduce judges-"
"You don't know anything about me!" Jimin is plummeted to the floor once again he moment that Sehun charges at him and punches him as hard as he could.
A loud bang comes from downstairs.

Chapter Text
The pen shakes in your hand.
The contract had stated that you'll be working until said otherwise and you'll be prohibited from going to shows or even handling or training dogs.
You will comply with every order given to you.
"This is for Jimin." You encourage yourself and just as the pen was about to touch the paper, your phone loudly blared.
"I have to take this," It was from Jungkook, despite you ignoring him earlier, you felt that this was something important.
And you also didn't want to sign the contract.
"Why don't you si-" Your father suggested but you had already accepted the call and put the phone against your ear.
"Hello?"
"(Y/N)? Where are you? I have Jimin with me." You gasp loudly, you could hardly believe his words.
"You do?!"
"(Y/N), we do not have all day." Your father was growing impatient. But you raised a hand to quiet him.
"Yes, where are you? There's something that you need to know." A smile began to creep on your face as you found yourself putting the pen down.
"I'm at Haweey." You tell him, he cursed causing you to worry. "What's wrong?"
"Perfect, but don't agree to anything there, (Y/N)!" His words had only confused you.
"Huh?" Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Why?"
"This was all your fa-"
Before you could hear what he had to say, your phone gets grabbed and smashed to the ground. Your eyes widen in surprise seeing your dad ragingly mad.
"What the hell?" You found yourself saying, backing away from him as he attempted to intimidate you. Shoving
"Sign the damned contract!" Even if you knew that he was being plastic, you were still shocked at the sudden change of behaviour.
"No!" You refuse, then Jungkook's unfinished words began to sink in, "Did you... Did you know anything about this?" You saw the panic flash in his eyes as he tried to straighten himself.
"What are you talking about, (Y/N)." You grit your teeth, you finally understood everything. You found yourself stomping towards him and he backed away.
"This was all your doing, wasn't it?" You accused him.
"Of course not, it-"
The door slides open, to reveal Jungkook, Jimin, the rest of the gang. Both your attention is diverted to them and Jungkook throws Sehun on the floor.
"Spill." He only says, you ignore your father and run towards Jimin.
"Jimin!" You rush over to Jimin and embrace him, he winces, "Shit, you're wounded." You pull away instantly, taking in how badly wounded he currently was.
"I'm okay, Noona." He says sweetly, "I think that you have to hear what Sehun has to say."
All eyes turned to Sehun who was being glared at by your dad. Sehun looked between Jungkook and your father, eventually, he spoke up.
"It... It was Mr. (L/N)'s plan to originally convince you to go back home by ruining his impression. But you didn't believe him."
"Everything, Sehun," Jungkook glares. "Unless you want all these juicy texts to be presented at the Kennel Club board meeting by tomorrow." Sehun pales at Jungkook's words and he continued to explain.
"So we were going to use him to blackmail you. To stop showing and start working here." You turn to glare at your father who backed into his desk.
"(Y/N), I can explain everyth-"
"I don't want to hear a thing, dad." You call him by a title that didn't befit him. "In fact, I don't ever want to see you."
"You can't keep me away forever, (Y/N)," he reminds you, you bit the inner part of your lip. "I'm your father." He smugly adds.
"Actually," Namjoon pipes in from the side, all eyes turn to him and they see the recorder that he had in his hands. "She can, with all these recordings of what Sehun just said. She could easily file a restraining order."
Your father's eyes widen once again in fear as he turns to you.
"You wouldn't do that to your own dad, wouldn't you, (Y/N)?" His voice cracks dramatically, but you weren't going to buy it.
"I don't know, maybe if you treated me like a daughter, I probably wouldn't." You were sick of his lies and manipulation, he even hurt Jimin, he drew the last straw. "Let's get Jimin patched up, we'll settle everything later." You tell them, assisting Jimin out after shooting Sehun and your dad one last glare.
"Jungkook?"
Your voice echoed in the empty hallways of the hospital.
"Hmmm?"
He merely hums a response while taking a sip from the banana milk that he bought earlier.
It was just the two of you waiting outside the hospital room. Jimin was asleep and you wanted to talk to him. Namjoon and Hoseok had gone to the police to file a restraining order for you.
You figured that it was the perfect time to patch things up with him.
"I'm sorry," You apologize, and hestares at you with a blank look. "I'm sorry for pushing you away, for nearly killing our friendship, for not listening-"
"It's alright, (Y/N)." You're shocked at his response, not expecting him to forgive you so easily. "I'm sorry too, I tend to lash out at you."
"You must really really love me." You joked, not knowing that you struck a sensitive part.
"Of course I do," Your eyes widen, not once has Jungkook ever told you that, you would constantly tease him but he would only respond with an 'In your dreams' or sass you.
"I mean, I did more than as a friend, but then..." He sighed running a hand through his messy hair as he tightly gripped the carton in his hands. "I saw the way that you look at him."
You were greatly confused at the fact that your best friend just admitted that. You knew that he was referring to Jimin.
"Even when he was still a dog."
"Hey!" You puff your cheeks in embarrassment. "I'm not that obsessed."
Jungkook rolls his eyes. "Do I have jog your memory a bit?"
"Whenever I'd ask you out on a date, you would always say, 'Oh! Let's take Chim and Vee with us!' whenever we did end up going on a 'date' you'd talk nonstop about him." He paused. "Heck, there was a time that Chim pounced on me and we both rolled down the hill, you rushed to him to check if he chipped his nails or got anything in his eye."
"Those were dates?" You blink a few times before you repeated. "Like date dates?!"
"See?" He chuckles. "But I think that I'd rather have us as friends." He adds.
"Things won't get awkward, right?" You knew that people tend to drift away the moment that someone would confess their feelings. "I'm sorry that I never felt the same way, Jungkook."
"Of course not and it doesn't matter anymore." He squeezes your hand causing you to look up at him. "I'll always be here, (Y/N)." He pauses for awhile, "And I've proved it multiple times."
You hug him, and he hugged back. Both of you savoured the moment until you pulled away.
"Ma'am, he's awake." The nurse comes out, you nod and thanked her. You looked at Jungkook as if to ask if he was coming in.
"Go, I'll have to report to the Kennel Club about everything that happened."
"Noona?" Somehow, the situation seemed so familiar to you. Except, your positions had been switched now.
"Oh, Jimin..." You rush to him and settle on his bed. "I was so scared, you didn't have to confront-" Before you could say anything, he pulled you into a hug and you found your lips locked with his.
And you found yourself kissing him back.
"I've always wanted to do that." He smirks when you both pull away. You stared at him with wide eyes and an open mouth.
You were speechless.
"I did it because I love you, (Y/N). I don't regret a single thing." Somehow, those lines also seemed familiar to you. A chuckle escapes your lips.
"I love you too, Jimin."
You found yourself leaning in towards each other for the second time.
But the door bursts open causing both of you to move away from each other.
"Jiminie!" Taehyung bursts in with a box of chocolates. Yoongi pulls him by the collar.
"You should have knocked, you imbecile." Jin follows in with a smug look on his face.
"Looks like we interrupted something."
Both your faces burn bright red. You wanted nothing more but to send them flying out the door.
Chapter 29
Notes:
OMG, second to the last chapter, hope that you all have enjoyed this story so far! <3
Chapter Text
It's been a couple of days since all the drama happened, through Jungkook's help, the kennel club had released a memo clearing your name. They were merciful enough to give Sehun temporary suspension for lying about the event. Jungkook kept the text messages to himself but had a copy in case he needed to blackmail the other exhibitor.
Your father would also no longer be bothering you, through the help of the restraining order. Their company was also banned from creating products that would be outcomes of animal abuse, they were being closely monitored and you were glad. You didn't want the company to fall, but you knew that they would manage without the use of animal fur or skin.
And Jimin, you couldn't imagine your life without him. Eversince that day, you knew that you really loved him and you wanted nothing more but to be with him for the rest of your life. With his beautiful physique and charm, he and Jin had managed to score themselves jobs as models. You knew that they would do fine.
You also continued with your handling and training, Jimin would accompany you most of the time if he didn't have projects, he was whiney and sometimes had been tempted to drop projects just to be with you.
You almost forgot that he used to be your dog.
When people would ask about Chim, you'd tell them that he's been rehomed as a pet and is doing well. They were disappointed about wanting to see him more often in the shows but you would only smile. You were a hundred times happier with how he was now.
Your relationship with the small clique that you had got even better. Things never got awkward between you and Jungkook, and you were glad. Jimin wasn't as possessive when it came to them, but when it came to the other men. He knew just how to scare them.
A pair of strong arms wrapped themselves around your stomach as you flipped the pancake that you were surprised hadn't burned yet. You felt something warm nuzzle against the back of your neck causing shivers to send down your spine.
"G'morning." Came Jimin's hoarse morning voice, regardless of how hoarse it was, it still sounded beautiful. His voice was something you definitely would never get tired of.
"You're up early today." You joke before running a hand through his messy blonde hair, he continued to snuggle from behind you before groaning. You felt his warm breath tickle the back of your ear.
"Me and Jin hyung are being called in for a project today, I'd rather stay at home with you." He whined before gripping your waist tighter.
"Hug me any harder and I'll suffocate, Jimin." You tried to wiggle out of his arms but he was stronger. "I have a show today." You reminded him, he then spun you around to face him. You blushed at how close the two of you were.
"You... do?" He sniffed the air, before you looked at him with curiosity. "Maybe you shouldn't attend this show, (Y/N)."
"And why's that?" You pout, you knew that he was going to complain about Taeyong or another male exhibitor. "You know that I'm not interested in any of them."
"Yeah, I know," He pouts when you pinch his cheek. "I'm not worried about you being interested in them. It's the other way around."
You wait for him to continue, the curious look on your face had become greater.
"You're in season, (Y/N)."
Your eyes nearly popped from their sockets at his words, a wild shade of scarlet beginning to color your cheeks and the tips of your ears.
"You can't just say that, Jimin!" You try to push him away. "It sounds awkward." He looks at you curiously. "It's different for human males."
He cocks his head. His dark gaze was fixated on you.
"It is different, but it doesn't mean that I can't read you or feel it, (Y/N)." His voice grew an octave lower as his face was inches away from yours. You could smell his minty breath as his nose brushed against yours.
His lips were about to lock with yours when you loudly gasped and turned around.
"The pancakes!" You shouted completely forgetting the intense moment that you two had earlier. He groaned in annoyance.
"What a cock blocker-" You gasped the moment that you heard his words.
"I told you not to listen to, Ji-" Before you could continue berating him. His lips collided with yours, and as much as you wanted to push away. You found yourself melting into his kiss.
"Are you going to complain about Jin again, Noona?" Although you were a bit surprised at how he was acting, you only rolled your eyes.
"As much as he's a bad influence, I can't help but want to thank him from time to time." He grins mischievously and leans towards you once again, but you put your hand on his chest and push him away. "Still, you're not allowed to use words like that."
He groans in annoyance and you chuckle at his misery.
"You suck, (Y/N)." He whines as he follows you to the table, where you set the food and plates. He helps you with the utensils.
"You already got your good luck kiss, hun," You said. "You can't be greedy." You spun around only to realize that you were trapped between him and the table.
He leans towards your ear and you shiver at his hot breath again. "I'd only be greedy if I take something that is to be shared with others," You feel his lips travel across your cheeks as a bright blush came back again. "Don't forget that you're mine."
"Oh, (Y/N)." You turn to see Taehyung and Jungkook following close behind. You grin before walking over to hug the two.
Jungkook admitted that through the times that he and Taehyung bonded, he eventually started to feel something... different for the cheerful boy. And you were happy for them. Taehyung also took interest in showing, both you and Jungkook decided to take him under your wing.
But he seemed to have affinity for grooming. He was a natural.
"The turtleneck looks good on you." You nearly choked and they looked at you strangely. You muster a small smile.
If only they knew why you decided to wear a turtleneck that day. It wasn't something that you would usually wear.
You were going straight to Namjoon's place after to kill Jin.
Your phone vibrated in your pocket and you excused yourself to answer it. The two didn't mind and you walked a bit further.
"Mingyu?"
"Hey! Long time no... talk? Uhm. I made a really really huge mistake." You cocked an eyebrow at his words.
"What do you mean, Mingyu?" You were a bit nervous.
"You have a show now? I think it would be best if you come over to the food park after?" Before you could agree to anything, he continued and you noticed how anxious he sounded. "I'll see you later! Good luck!" He ended the call.
You stare at your phone for a bit before you looked up to see Jungkook giving you a concerned look, "Is everything okay?" You smiled sweetly at your friend.
"Yup, everything's alright. But..." You struggled to find the words to say. "I think that we have to go to the food park later. Where we went to a few weeks ago?" He nods. "Along with Namjoon and Hobi." He nods, giving you a worried look. But you smile at him to dismiss it.
"I think you should pull your turtleneck a bit higher." You noticed the faint blush on his face and you felt your cheeks to grow warm.
"Please don't tell me you-"
"Love marks?" He smirked knowingly causing your face to flare up anymore. You hit him in annoyance and he was unfazed by it.
"Aish!" You pull down the collar of his shirt, "As if you don't have any from Taehyung!" He blushes, rivaling the color of your own cheeks as he tugs your hand away from him.
"Let's never talk about this." The two of you both say at the same time, the moment that Taehyung came back with food in his hands.

Chapter Text
After the show had ended, you and Jungkook managed to score a BIS and BIS 2 respectively which merited a celebration later on. But for now, you both had to pick up your two friends who were confused by the situation. The three of them didn't bother to question you.
"The last time we were here was when (Y/N) scored one of her first Best in Shows with Chim." Hoseok grinned the moment that he stepped out of you car, the four of you managed to fit since you dropped Taehyung at your place before proceeding here. The four dogs turned humans were all at your house.
And you hoped that your house would still be intact when you went home.
"It wasn't too long ago," Namjoon added before ruffling your hair, you clicked your tongue in annoyance before fixing it back. "I still remember when she first went crying to me the first time she tripped in the ring."
"Or the first time she entered the wrong ring and the judged screamed at her." You groaned at Jungkook's words, he had a smug look on his face.
"Or the time that she thought she won so she-"
"Will you guys stop bringing those up?" You cut Hoseok off before he could continue with what he was saying. You locked the car before shooting them glares.
It was true that you had your fair share of embarrassing moments, probably enough to last you a lifetime. But still, it was still not something that you enjoyed remembering.
"But look at how much you've learned," Namjoon slung his arm around your neck while you guys walked towards Mingyu's stall. "I'm a proud teacher."
"I still owe you for that." It was Namjoon who had convinced you to show Chim and during your first few months, he was your mentor. He always motivated you even when you would compare yourself to the other handlers. Out of all of them, Namjoon was like your closest brother.
You just realized that now.
"Well, if she didn't inherit my grooming skills she would have been a disaster as well." Hoseok locked his arm around your own and you could begin to feel the people staring at you, you were surrounded by three handsome men after all.
"Hey, my grooming skills are decent." Namjoon pouts as he says that, you only chuckle.
"You shaved Suga's butt." Hoseok countered through gritted teeth.
"How was I supposed to know that the razor was on? I was only showing a demo-"
"That only proves that you can't groom, Joonie." You side with Hoseok this time as the three of you erupt into silent giggles. Jungkook standing behind you as Namjoon grumbled to himself.
"It's weird when we talk about our dogs now, well..." Jungkook lowered his voice. "Now that they're human."
Namjoon forgot about his dismay from earlier and perks up, he nods in agreement, "I agree, I tend to associate them as two different beings."
Before the conversation could carry on, the four of you found yourselves standing in front of the only dog bakery nearby. It was empty so probably your friend was in the baking area.
"Mingyu?" You call out, leaning over the counter as you tried to peer through the small window. You saw a moving figure that you identified as your friend. His eyes met with yours and instantly, he rushed out.
"(Y/N)!" He towered over you, you had to look up just to meet his eyes properly. "Is Chim okay?" He then noticed that you had other companions.
"Is there something that's supposed to be wrong with him, Mingyu?" You find yourself asking, wondering if you and him were thinking of the same thing, the reason why he was hesitant to speak.
He leaned closer to you and whispered in your ear, "I think I accidentally mixed the cupcakes that I was supposed to gift to you with an experimental one."
"The cupcakes with the blue frosting?" Jungkook piped in with a cocked eyebrow, it was obvious that he heard despite your friend whispering in your ear. His eyes widened and he nodded.
"Was that the one in the smaller box?" You ask him, still puzzled at why he was talking about this now.
"Yes that one." He confessed, "Maybe we should talk in-"
"Actually, (Y/N)," Jungkook began causing your attention to be directed towards him. You waited for him to continue speaking, "There's something that the three of us have to tell you."
He turned to the other two who looked at him with curiosity. Their eyes then perked up as if realizing something, they both nod in sync.
"While you were at the bathroom before we left that day..." Hoseok's voice trailed off as he looked at Namjoon for help. The other male cleared his throat.
"We took some because we got curious." You only nodded in understanding, that was quite some time ago so it didn't really matter now.
"You didn't happen to give your dogs the cupcakes, right?" Mingyu asked nervously. You were beginning to put the puzzle together.
"We did," They answered in unison, causing Mingyu to fidget with his hands before scratching the back of his neck. You stared at him waiting for an explanation.
"Well you see..." Mingyu began, "The cupcakes contained a special ingredient that was delivered here just recently. It's supposed to be a harmless ingredient to enhance the flavor for dogs and is to be used in baked items." You all waited for him to continue, "The company that made them said something about a surprising change, then I got a call, they finally informed me about what it was supposed to do."
"It can change dogs into humans," You said, beating him to it. He nods.
"So is it true?" He asks nervously. You all look at each other and nod. He groans and runs his hands through his hair, "I'm so sorry, (Y/N), it was really a mistake. I didn't mean to get them mixed up, I can provide an-"
"Mingyu," You begin with a stern tone, cutting him off, "This was probably the best mistake that you ever made." He looks at you with a shocked expression.
"-antidote. Wait, what?" He blinks multiple times at your words, you turn to the rest of your friends.
"Do you guys still need that antidote?" Jungkook and Hoseok immediately said no. Your heads all turned to Namjoon who remained quiet. A thoughtful look was on his face.
"Do you guys remember when I said that you all shouldn't get attached?" You felt your heart beat faster at his words. But the three of you managed to nod despite the worry that you all were feeling. "Well, screw that. We won't be needing that antidote." You realized the breath that you were holding before turning to Mingyu.
"I-I'm glad that you guys aren't mad." He sighed, you knew that he probably felt like the weight was finally off his shoulders.
"We should be thanking you, actually." Jungkook admitted.
"Yeah, for screwing up." You all laugh at his all dismay.
You checked your watch and saw the time, "We best be going now, our dogs are waiting at home and I have to make sure that firemen aren't surrounding my house." You gave Mingyu a smile, "Just please keep this between the five of us, Mingyu, it would really mean a lot." He nods.
"As long as you guys introduce me to them soon."
"We definitely will!" You then notice that he was staring weirdly at you.
"You might want to fix your tur-" You blush again before adjusting it.
"We'll be going now! Bye!" You drag your friends towards the exit where you parked your car. They were snickering at dismay and you were sure that you had enough embarrassing moments that day. It was clearly all, Jimin's fault.
After all of you got home to an intact house and a group of thankfully unharmed dogs turned humans. The eight of you decided to go somewhere special and celebrate. Instead of heading to a fancy restaurant or cafe, you found yourself suggesting to have a picnic at the cliff near your place.
You found you and Jimin the last ones to stay, after eating, the others decided to call it a day, packed up and went home. But you wanted to stay a bit longer, finding yourselves sprawled on the blanket that you brought with you.
"You know, Noona," You found yourself shifting your head a bit to face Jimin, avoiding the stars to gaze at his face, dimly lit by the moonlight. "No matter how radiant these stars are, they won't ever compare to you."
You found yourself gagging and erupting into a burst of laughter. You wiped a tear away to face Jimin who had a wide pout on his face, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, was it Jin who taught you that?" You found yourself holding back your fits of laughter.
"No, it was Yoongi hyung," You erupted into another fit of laughter and curled up on your side. "Aish, Noona, quit laughing so much, I'm trying to be romantic."
"I'm sorry, Jimin-ah," You turned to face him again, finding yourself inching closer, "You're just too cute."
Before you could say anything more, you found yourself underneath him with each of his arms trapping you under him. Your eyes widened and you squeaked, trying to wiggle free from his grasp.
"Is this still cute, (Y/N)?" You felt a shiver run down your spine with the way that he said your name. Your breath was hitched in your throat as you examined his features. He looked like he had a halo surrounding his angelic face, his eyes weren't as soft as they usually were, they held a certain firmness to them.
You found yourself at a loss for words, instead, you gripped the striped shirt that he was holding, he smirked before leaning in closer. You closed your eyes, feeling his breath against your lips.
You knew that he wanted to finish what he started earlier, you were expecting a kiss on the lips.
But instead, you felt his lips against your cheeks, your eyes flew open and before you knew it, he was beside you again.
"Jimin!" You whined, "You're such a tease." He giggled before looking back at the stars. You found yourself doing the same after whining for a few minutes.
"(Y/N)?" Jimin broke the silence, you hummed in response still focusing on the stars above you.
"I want to be with you forever." You were taken aback by his words, you were used to his usual, 'I love you's. You took this as his way of truly expressing his feelings.
"I feel the same way, Jimin." Your (e/c) eyes locked with his dark brown ones. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Notes:
Pet Me, Please has finally come to an end. This is, I believe, the BTS story that I worked hard for the most and the one with the plot that I really enjoyed writing.
Comments from readers on Wattpad and AO3 really kept me going, the support and love that you guys showered on this story really brought me extreme happiness and I'm grateful for that.
Special mention to those who have been acknowledging and reading this story from the start til the end. Seeing the comments blow up really brings a smile to my face knowing that it will be your comments there. ❤️
And for the rest who have voted for this story, thank you all so much! I'm actually considering to make another story like this, Dog Show themed, but without the dog turned human element.
