Chapter Text
Izuku Midoriya knew the mission should’ve been easy. It was suppose to be easy. He had planned everything down to the bone, for any possible situation. He had stayed up for weeks researching, memorizing, and planning for everything. He did everything he could to gather as much info in the shortest amount of time. He planned for everything. Except for if All Might was working there.
His mission had been a simple info gathering. Get in, get the info, get out. The only problem was, the info he needed had been in different areas in the building. He had to memorize where the security cameras were, where the vents led, Everything. It all had seemed to be going smoothly, until he had ran into the number one hero. In the moment he made eye contact with his ex-idol, all of his plans crumbled. His careful planning turned into a panicked mess. He could only attempted to run, but the hero cornered him. He could only stare in awe, an$ utter panic as the man he once looked up to knocked his lights out.
Now here he was, waking up and being greeted with fluorescent lights and his own reflection. His hands were bound to the chair he was sitting in, and his mask was on the table in front of him. On the wall opposite of him was a large mirror showing him his pale face, freckled dusted reflection. He stared blankly at the mirror, and whoever was on the other side of the window.
A small bubble of anxiety rose within his chest. Whoever it was on the other side, they knew who he was. His secret identity had been revealed.
Before his anxiety could grow, the door opened, revealing a man with black hair. Izuku immediately recognized him as detective Naomasa. He’d seen him on tv, crowded by reporters. A small part of him was disappointed All Might hadn’t walked through the door. He’d been the one to knock him out, shouldn’t he be the one to walk in here. Dear god, he was starting to sound like Tomura.
“The Quirkless Villain Also known as, Izuku Midoriya.” He said opening a Manila folder. A picture of Izuku as a child and a newspaper clipping of an article from one of his earlier missions. Izuku expression didn’t change as his eyes scanned the papers before him. The Detective sat down in the chair across from him. He went through a couple more papers before speaking again.
“Now, Midoriya,” he started, “I’m going to ask you a few questions. Mostly pertaining to what’s happened to you in the past couple of years.” Midoriya rolled his eyes. “You don’t have to answer if it’s to hard, however it would be in the best interest for the both of us if you answered most of them.”
“I know how an interrogation works, Detective.” Izuku snapped sitting up a bit straighter, “However, I think in your best interest if you didn’t treat me like a victim.”
“So you’d rather be treated like a criminal then?” Naomasa asked raising an eyebrow.
“That’s what I am, isn’t it?” He asked “That’s what this newspaper clipping says. That’s what most of your research here probably says.”
“What my research tells me,” Naomasa started “Is that you were kidnapped as a child, is this true?”
Izuku‘s pulse quickened as he remembered that day. The day his big brother, Kirigiri, stole him away after a big fight with-well, it didn’t matter with who. He had told him he could still be powerful without a quirk. His other brother, Tomura, trained with him; made him faster, stronger, and more agile then the normal person. His big brothers had raised him into the Villain he was today. ‘The Quirkless Villain’ the media called him; he always hated that name.
“It’s ok if you can’t answer, Izuku.” The Detective said softly, “It’s ok if it’s too hard on you to-“
“I suppose you could call it that.” Izuku replied, not allowing his sentence to finish. Izuku Midoriya was a lot of things, but weak was not one of them. “Although, recruiting is a better word for it.”
“We must have very different definitions of ‘kidnapping’.”
Izuku allowed himself smirk slightly, feeling as if he had a small handle on the situation. The Detective sighed softly and slid another folder closer to him. Deku raised an eyebrow at it as he recognized the UA logo on the cover.
“Midoriya, your case is a very special one, but not one that’s sadly uncommon. A lot of villains have tried to use children to continue their acts. Luckily, the government is starting a program for these kids and teenagers. It’s called The Youth Villain Rehabilitation Program.”
He opened the folder for him and inside was a few papers and some kind of contract. As well as a pamphlet for UA high; the best school for training young hero’s-to-be. The place he had been infiltrating just a few moments ago.
“You would be attending UA, under the guardianship of the hero’s that also live there, and you would be given free therapy.” He continued.
“I don’t need that.” He said, starting to freak out at the very thought of this. He wasn’t weak, he didn’t need their help. He frowned and looked back at the detective. The detective shrugged, “Well, there’s always the option to go to maximum security jail, where you will be treated the same as every Villain there and be treated as if you were an adult.” He said
Deku fell silent for a moment, so he was toying with him now. Deku thought for a moment, quickly going through his options. He put his hand on his chin, to keep himself from mumbling while he thought; he did have the tendency to do that. If he took the offer, not only would he be surrounded by famous heroes and heroes in training, but he’d still be able to gather whatever information he needed. Not only that, but he’d be able to see first hand how the place is run.
On the other hand, if he refused, he’d be trapped, and have possibly worse things happen to him. If he ever wanted to return to his brothers and escape, then he would most certainly have an easier time in a high school for over privileged twats, then a prison filled with overpowered freaks.
“Fine.”
The detective stood up and rounded behind of him. He undid the cuffs from his hands. Deku rubbed at his wrists. He slipped a pen out of his shirt pocket, and handed it to Deku. He took it and signed his name away to the hero school. The moment he dotted the ‘I’ in his name, he started to form a plan of his escape.
~~~~~
Izuku Midoriya had once believed he was never going to be here, and a small part of him was actually excited to be here. A very small part; a very very small part. Like, on the nail of his pinky small. His hands clutched at a bag that held his Villain outfit. Before leaving the police station, the detective had him change into regular clothes. “So he wouldn’t be recognized.” The detective had said. There were a few people walking the streets nearby. He could almost feel them staring at him. It made his heart pound and his palms sweat. The little bubble of anxiety rose in his chest, before popping as a hand clapped on his shoulder.
“The principal will be waiting for us inside.” Naomasa said gesturing him to walk towards the enterance.
Izuku reminded himself that this was the easiest way, once he convinced everyone he was rehabilitated or whatever, he could just run back to his brothers and continue living the way he had been for 10 years. Finally, he was able to move his feet towards the enterance. The doors slid open as he walked inside.
“Ah, Izuku Midoriya, Welcome to UA!”
Izuku immediately recognized the principal of the school. He remembered seeing the mouse....bear?....dog? Whatever, in some of the media. On his sides were two black haired hero’s. He instantly knew them from the fights he had observed from his brothers, and his many Notes he had taken. Eraserhead and Midnight, two of the top heroes and two teachers of the school. He had never fought them himself, but one of the many jobs for his brothers was to observe heroes and figure out as much as he could from them. For instance, he wasn’t afraid of Eraserhead. The heroes quirk wouldn’t work on Izuku because he didn’t have a quirk. Although, Midnight was a different story. She would be a bit harder to escape. All she would have to do is show off a little bit of her skin, and Izuku would be out like a light.
Again though, a small part of him was disappointed that All Might wasn’t here.
“Although, from what I’ve been told, you’ve already been here, hmmm?” The principal, Nezu, said with a smile. Deku didn’t grace that with a response. He got the feeling the principal was trying to bait a reaction out of him. He wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction.
“Well then, quite the talker aren’t you?”
Izuku narrowed his eyes, but still didn’t respond. Eraserhead scoffed slightly.
“Let’s get started then, shall we?” The principal continued, not letting the silence hang for very long. He turned and started towards an elevator. The heroes went and followed him, but only after they were assured Izuku was following. With the hand on his shoulder, he didn’t have much of a choice. He followed them inside the elevator. Although the elevator was rather spacious, enough room for all of them to have their own personal space, the moment the doors closed Izuku’s heart started to pound in his chest.
“As you must know, UA is a prestigious school for the next generation of heroes. They learn how to properly become a hero, what to do in emergency situations, and how to handle sensitive issues. However, your time here will be a little bit different th most students.” He continued, “Your time here will be spent mostly on helping you realize your true potential. Not necessarily as a hero, but something other then facing a life of crime. You could be an artist, or a policemen, or even a stay at home parent. The Youth Villain Rehabilitation program wasn’t meant to force you to become a hero, just to help you realize that there’s more then just crime. Basically, we’ll be training you on how to become a civilian.”
Deku kept his face expressionless as the elevator opened to a wide hallway with doors. Each door was labeled with a different number. “These are apartments for some of the faculty that live here. Now, this is where you’ll be staying, at least for a little while.” The principal led them down the hallway until they stopped at room #611. “This, will be your room.” He said as Eraserhead opened the door. The hand on his shoulder nudged him forwards into the room.
The apartment was small. He had entered into a small living room area that seemed to be connected to a small kitchenette. There was a large window that spanned the opposite side of the room. It lit the room with the sunlight that shined through. There was two doors on the left that Izuku figured was the bedroom and bathroom.
The detective’s hand left his shoulder when the door closed behind him. He was now in a small area with two of the strongest heroes of all time. ‘Get used to it.’ He thought to himself.
“Midoriya, there are a few things we need to go over before we’ll let you settle in.” The principal said sitting down on the couch. The two heroes flanked his sides. The detective stood behind Izuku as he sat down across from Nezu.
“Now then, let’s go over what you’ll be doing while in the program.” The detective pulled out file and handed it to the Principal. He opened it and laid it out in front of them. Izuku noticed it was the same file as before.
“Alright Izuku, here’s how things will work.” The bear/mouse/dog started “Everyday, you will have up to three classes here, as if you were homeschooled. Depending on the day will determine what classes you have. One day you might have Math, while on the next you might have Literature. The teachers here are willing to teach you here.” He gestured to the two teachers sitting next to him. “Depending on how well you do, and on how you behave, we’ll see how well you’ll do in a classroom setting. Aizawa here has volunteered his class, and he’ll also be teaching you some History.” Aizawa nodded slightly. Izuku looked at him before bringing his attention back. “Also, you will be under 24/7 surveillance. There are cameras hidden around the apartment, but this is mostly for your benefit. Although rehabilitation is a great choice for young children, it most certainly is not easy. For example....”
Izuku started to drown him out as the principal continued to ramble on about what the program will be like. To be honest, he didn’t care. He wasn’t going to be here for much longer. Besides, even if he didn’t try to escape, his big brothers would find a way to find him. He continued to feign his attention as the principal continued as the gears in his head started turning, and a plan began to form.
