Aizawa crumpled up the paper he’d just monotonously read from and accurately flicked it into the bin beside the door.
Denki snorted half a laugh before fawning “aww how sweet, you’re telling us so we don’t have panic attacks or get scared, right?”
The room was silent as he stared at the teacher, waiting for a response. After a moment, the teacher’s tired eyes brightened with mirth and a manic smile spread on his lips prompting the blond teen to laugh awkwardly “haha…r-right Mr Aizawa???”

“Midoriya-sensei!”
Kota trotted over, holding up Midoriya’s phone, which was vibrating and blasting All Might’s overly enthusiastic ringtone:
“A phone call is here! A phone call is—”
Midoriya lunged for it, face burning red. “T-Thank you, Kota!”
The students exchanged looks.
Mayumi leaned in slightly, trying to eavesdrop, but Midoriya noticed and gently swatted her away like a buzzing fly.
“Uh… yeah, Sure! When? Tonight? Um, I guess that’s fine? Mhm, yeah. I was going to grade some pop quizzes, but that can wait… Alright. Be safe,” he said softly. He was about to hang up—
When suddenly a burst of very loud yelling came from the other side.
The kids perked up again, eyes locked onto their teacher. Midoriya flinched, then awkwardly brought the phone back to his ear with a sheepish eIxpression.
“…Love you.”
This job really didn’t pay enough.

Aizawa has been looking forward to this Heroic Foundation exercise. This class understands the importance of getting changed quickly, but not being able to hide their hero persona when they are off-duty. It’s a game of hide and seek and his prey is his students. Too bad one person is going to make him question the world again.
