The first and last time Izuku Midoriya had ever used his Quirk was on his own mother. Midoriya noticed the pain coating her words. He noticed the hitch in her breath. He noticed the redness surrounding her eyes and the faint stain of tears. He noticed the blood seeping into the paper towels wrapped around the areas Midoriya had touched her.
Midoriya noticed the guilt and self-loathing bubbling up in his own chest.
