Chapter Text
Reversed!AU
Midoriya Izuku hears a faint footsteps.
They’re getting louder.
Suddenly, those faint footsteps have turned into a thunderous stomps. That guy’s running, and Izuku knows who it is. He knows him so damn well.
“I-Zu-Ku-Chan!!!!” Todoroki squeals from the end of the hallway, with an all-teeth smile and a hand waving frantically in the middle of the air. Midoriya doesn’t even need to turn his head around to know that the crazy bitch is giving him his widest grin. He recognized him very, very well – from his awfully cheery voice, his steps, even his breath when he pants near him after running across the hallway to greet the quirkless boy.
Todoroki throw his arms to hug Midoriya from behind, but Midoriya skillfully dodges. He glares at the half-n-half boy with such a disgust on his face. “Stay the fuck away from me, bitch.” He says in a dangerously low tone that sends the other villains-to-be “friends” away from the two of them. Todoroki grinned, ruffling Midoriya’s dull violet hair before jumping back and throwing his hands up in the air as an act of surrender. Midoriya turns his head around, sending him a dark glare before continuing his walk. Anybody else would’ve gotten scared if they were given one of Midoriya’s signature lookstm, but Todoroki is immune to all of those. He knows that Midoriya tolerates him (somehow, despite of Todoroki’s annoying behavior).
Todoroki clasps his hands on the small of his back while quickens his walking pace to match Midoriya’s. “Nee, Izuku-chan. If you don’t have another plan to kill Eijiro-chan today, I could use your help on playing some intricate plans on Katsu-chan.”
“None of your plans are intricate. You’re a bulldozer wrecking anything on its path. It’s classless and I fucking hate it.” Midoriya slides the door to their class with a force that sends the door flying sideways and hits the stopper with a loud slam. Everyone’s attention turns for the duo for a mere second before turning back to the things they were doing before the “double mischief” walked in.
The whole school is really fucked up. With the country being ruled by the villains; well, that’s what the heroes used to call them. They liked the term “freedom fighter” more than Villains. It’s not actually freedom when you’re allowed to do basically everything – but a lot of people support that belief, and now, the whole country is run by these “villains”.
UA is the best school for future villains. Nobody knows why it’s the best, though. It used to be the best school for heroes before the whole table flipped. Now, it’s just a playground for the most vicious or talented people in Japan.
The second Todoroki entered the classroom, he automatically scans for the ugly, spiky black hair. His eyes lights up when he located his target and began skipping – fucking skipping like a five year old – to the boy that’s sitting on the second row, near the window. Todoroki should’ve memorized it by now but somehow, he always forgot. Bakugou noticed his presence and starts shivering.
Bakugou never wanted to become a villain, no. he wanted to be a hero. Heck, he wanted to be a regular person with no significant role in the society because he’s just too damn afraid to be someone meaningful. Although he has a very powerful quirk, he’s always anxious, extremely shy, and one hell of a crybaby.
A perfect target for Todoroki Shouto, who uses his quirk to burn people for fun.
His quirk somehow went from extremely strong to impossibly strong if the day reaches a certain extreme temperature. People tend to stay away from him during summers and winters because of that reason. And boy, he has more than a million ways to use his quirk to hurt somebody. He doesn’t hold back when it comes to inflicting pain to the others. Fortunately, Shouto likes Bakugou so much that he doesn’t want to ruin his favorite toy just yet – well; constant taunting and mild burns but nothing serious. Just enough to drive Bakugou to the edge but not enough to actually break him.
Todoroki sits on Hagakure’s empty seat in front of Bakugou’s and drags the chair so he could get closer – too close for Bakugou’s likings – and put his hands on Bakugou’s desk. His desk is a mess. It’s packed with writings. “Useless”, “weak”, “pathetic”, “loser”, and such other insults are written on his desk in various sizes and colors. You can’t even see the true color of his desk anymore, it’s just writings.
Some ice crystals are forming around place where Todoroki laid his right hand, while a sizzling sound is coming from underneath his left hand. The smell of a burnt wood is attacking Bakugou’s nostrils rather harshly, making him shiver in fear. Sweats are dropping from his forehead and tears are threatening to fall from the corner of his eyes.
A blissful view for Todoroki.
“I just wanna talk, Katsu-chan. You know the kid we met on the streets yesterday, right? Right? I heard that he killed himself! That’s too bad, actually. I was looking forward on burning his index finger today, but they said that he’s dead! I don’t know what to feel, actually. I’m sad that he’s gone, I mean, I just lost another toy, but then, I’m happy because I don’t have to smear the dirt on my name because I killed him. I will, someday, but he decided to do it first! I’ve told you that I don’t know what to feel, right? Or how to feel, actually. Man, his scream was like music to my ears and I just waaant to give him a frostbite before lightning him up on fire! Imagine what his scream would sound like. Katsu-chan. Katsu-chan, are you listening to me?” the ice underneath his palm has spread across the table, freezing the whole damn thing and even spreads to the floor.
“Oi, Todoroki. Don’t freeze the fucking floor.” Kouda said, sending Todoroki an annoyed glare.
“Sorry, sorry, Koji-kun,” He said with an ear-to-ear grin. Bakugou stayed silent through the whole exchange. “Now, where was I?”
Suddenly, the whole class shook with an explosion. Todoroki turned his head around to see Midoriya with a… is that a grenade launcher?
Midoriya lowers his arm, waiting for the smoke in front of him to disappear. Todoroki remembers that Midoriya didn’t bring such a thing to the class today. Must be Momo’s creation, judging by the way she was buttoning her uniform up. Aaand the stack of money on her table.
The smoke dissipates, revealing kirishima with his quirk activated. But his left arm is torn and there’s a huge amount of blood constantly dripping from his hand. Todoroki clapped happily, shoving his hand into his pocket and fished out his phone to snap some pictures of the two of them and Kirishima's bleeding arm. Nobody pay any attention to Todoroki’s antiques, though. They’re used to it.
The door slammed open, again.
“What the fuck were you fucking thinking?!” Present mic screamed; sending the tables scattered backwards and papers flying. His silky smooth dark blue hair is falling to his face. He looks angry. “you two, principal’s office, now!”
Bakugou was watching the entire thing with his jaw hanging so low it could reach the floor. He was pulled back into the reality by the sound of Todoroki’s muffled laugh. For a split second, Bakugou couldn’t help but admit how beautiful Todoroki is laughing. Well, he’s not dubbed the class’ prettiest boy for nothing. His hair is dual-colored, evenly split in the middle. Left side ocean blue, right side black. He also has heterochromia; making his left eye magenta and his right eye silver it’s almost white. There’s also a nasty burn mark that covered half of his left face, but that somehow makes him even manlier. All-n-all, he’s pretty.
“And he said I’m the bulldozer…” Todoroki said under his laugh.
