Ring the Bells.. Maybe?

Summary:

“Deku, the ceremony is gonna be just fine! Don’t worry about it so much.”

“So many things could go wrong, Uraraka.”

“Well yeah, you decided to marry Bakugou Katsuki.”

— — — —

In which this is a BakuDeku wedding!

Notes:

Alright so a few days ago, I wrote a fluffy one shot in which Bakugou proposed to Midoriya (if you wanna experience that shit you may) anyways. So now, I am basically finishing what I started. So enjoy this kind of thing if this is your kind of thing, I don't really know because I don't know you but hey what's up? How's your day?

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Anxious was an okay feeling, and it was obvious that Midoriya would feel that way. Would Bakugou actually wear his tie? Would his jacket or pants be ironed out? Would someone say something that would cause him to blow something up? Would Midoriya say something that would cause him to get angry and blow something up? Would something get blown up?

He hoped that at least Kirishima could keep the ship steady.

That left Midoriya to sit and anxiously bounce his leg as Iida and Uraraka sat a few feet away giggling and laughing nonstop. They were having a great time! And Midoriya wanted to be having that great time too, but he was too nervous about everything else to even think about having a good time.

Uraraka’s eyes trailed over to Midoriya who had moved to laying on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. “Deku,” she spoke up and grabbed his attention. “The ceremony is gonna be just fine! Don’t worry about it so much.”

Midoriya let out another sigh as his eyes fell closed. “So many things could go wrong, Uraraka.”

“Well yeah, you decided to marry Bakugou Katsuki.”

“Uraraka!” Iida scolded her and it caused her to shrug and laugh it off.

“Something will inevitable go wrong,” she continued. “But because it’s Bakugou, he always knows how to make right from wrong. So you will get up to that altar and you will be able to say those magic words that will unite you in holy matrimony for the rest of your lives.”

Midoriya laughed a little as he raised his eyes up to see Uraraka, hands clasped together as she spoke. “Do you think he’ll even wear his tie?”

“Nope! Not at all!”

Midoriya let out a sigh when he heard this and let his eyes close again. “I bet you he didn’t iron his clothes, and his shirt isn’t even buttoned all the way. Or his vest, for that matter!”

“At least it’s sunny out,” Uraraka hummed. “So I bet everything out there is super beautiful! In fact, I know that it is because I did go out and check.” Midoriya glanced at the girl again who was tapping her cheek, assuming it was an alternated habit she picked up from Asui. “However I’m still stuck between best woman, and maid of honor.”

“I should never have included you in the wedding party.” Midoriya sighed.

“Your bachelor party was plenty fun and that’s only because I was there to plan the entire thing! I mean, Iida would’ve been a total killjoy, if you know what I mean.” Uraraka smirked at the man who was glaring heavily at her.

“Where’s Todoroki, I thought he said he would only be gone for a little bit?” Midoriya replied and the two shrugged. “I really, and sincerely, hope that Kaminari doesn’t piss Kacchan off too much.”

“It’s not hard,” Uraraka snorted. “You need to relax, Deku! Everything is going to go just fine. Then we’ll get to the best part, the reception! What song are you guys gonna do your first dance to?”

Before Midoriya could even answer, the door swung open and revealed Todoroki who was panting and very clearly out of breath. “Todoroki?” Uraraka spoke up as she turned to him. “Why are you out of breath?”

“Uh..” he trailed off, he didn’t want to say it but he felt as though he needed to. “Bakugou was.. having an issue.”

“Is it alright now?” Midoriya was sitting up at this point and looking at Todoroki with wide eyes.

“Ah, well, I mean,” Todoroki trailed off. “It’s better but uh.. no not alright. I’m here to get help from Iida.”

“What’s going on? What happened?” Midoriya moved to stand until Uraraka pushed him back down.

“You need to stay here!” Uraraka said. “You’re not allowed to see Bakugou until the ceremony and you know that more than anyone else.”

“Iida, come on!” Todoroki said and Iida lept to action before following Todoroki out the door and it slamming shut. Midoriya let out a deep sigh as his head fell back.

“Kacchan..” he whined. “Why, why can’t you just make one day not a total disaster. Why can’t you just ignore other people?”

“We don’t know that he was provoked,” Uraraka replied. She pulled out her phone and sent a questioning text to Kirishima, hoping he would be able to respond before turning her attention back to Midoriya. “I thought he was really helpful when he was planning things, doesn’t that mean that he likes what was put out there?”

“Are you kidding?” Midoriya laughed. “He made almost every decision. He told me from the get-go exactly what he wanted, that’s why you’re in a green dress.”

“I think it’s.. flattering..?”

“Green is not your color,” Midoriya laughed. “When we were picking a second color he said ‘red’ and then I told him he couldn’t because then, it would look like Christmas barfed on our wedding.”

“So how’d you come to pink?” Uraraka asked. “And why did I not get to wear it and the boys did? It’s such a pretty shade.”

“Well, realistically I thought it looked nice with the green Kacchan wanted and I thought it was a nice spring color. I convinced him by saying it was a step down from red — just add white.” Midoriya smiled. “Besides, if he chose red all of our flowers would end up being roses, because Kacchan knows next to nothing about flowers. Trust me.”

“I think the lilies are nice!” Uraraka smiled.

Midoriya nodded his head and smiled along with her. “It was hard to convince him to have more than just Kirishima in his wedding party too, ‘why do I need all these extras,’ is what he said. But I countered with the fact that his number had to match mine and I had you, Iida and Todoroki.”

“Does he still call people extras? How rude,” Uraraka laughed. Her laughter was interrupted by the door opening again, this time revealing Inko who stood with a nervous smile on her face.

“Izuku, honey,” she laughed lightly, trying to get past the nervousness of upsetting her son.

“Is everything alright?” Midoriya immediately asked.

“Well.. it’s not ruined yet,” she replied and Midoriya’s eyes widened. “Mitsuki tried to calm him down but uh, she’s still working on that.”

“Calm him down?” Midoriya’s eyes widened. “Why is he so worked up in the first place?”

“That’s the issue, no one knows,” Inko shook her head. “I’m sorry to leave you all by yourself, but I need to borrow Uraraka’s quirk.”

Midoriya let out a sigh and nodded his head. Signaling for Uraraka to stand and leave the room and that left Midoriya to his own anxious devices.

This was his wedding and yet here he was, shut up in a room with nothing other to do and hope that his future husband wasn’t out there ruining things. He was already overwhelmed when he was planning, shouldn’t this be the time when he isn’t overwhelmed anymore?

Midoriya sat there for maybe all of fifteen minutes by himself before his phone started ringing and he saw Kirishima’s name pop up on the screen. Midoriya let out another deep sigh before he answered it. “Hey, buddy!”

“What is it, Kirishima?” Midoriya asked. He had a good feeling what he was going to hear and honestly he was just as ready now as he ever would be.

“Can you come here?” Kirishima asked, and that made Midoriya’s narrow his gaze in confusion. “Bakugou told me not to tell you to, but he’s freaking out and legit no one knows what else to do. So before he ruins anything else?”

Gosh, anything else . “This isn’t allowed, is it?”

“No it’s not, but..” Kirishima let out a sigh. “Honestly, I just think he’s nervous and doesn’t know how to translate it normally. No one can knock any sense into him though and he’s nearly melting down at this point.”

Midoriya blinked a few times. So, no one pissed him off? No one provoked him? Well, actually, that’s not true. Bakugou just managed to provoke himself.

Midoriya flew off of that couch and hurried to the room that he knew Bakugou would be locked inside. He waved and thanked guests he walked by but hurried through until he reached the room and tapped on the door.

Kirishima was the first to open it, he was missing his jacket and tie and his hair was messed up but he was nothing in comparison to the destruction behind him. “He’s in the bathroom,” Kirishima said quietly as he dragged Midoriya inside the absolutely trashed room and the two headed to the bathroom door. Kaminari and Sero were sitting on what was left of the couch nervously, and Kirishima walked to the bathroom door where Mitsuki was standing trying to talk to her son until she saw Midoriya.

She didn’t even say anything, just took a step away from the door. “Hey Bakugou,” Kirishima said from outside the door, he released Midoriya’s wrist and continued to speak as he just stood there. “Do you wanna, perhaps, come out now?”

“Fuck off shitty hair!” Bakugou growled at him. “Don’t think I won’t turn and blow you straight out of this stupid ass building!”

“Well, the ceremony is soon,” Kirishima spoke again. “You still aren’t dressed and everyone else has to work to fix what you broke so the least you should do is apologize.”

“Fuck off!” Bakugou shouted again. “I’m not going out there!”

“Why not?” Kirishima asked and there was a long silence.

“Cause I can’t fucking do it! Alright!?”

Kirishima’s eyes widened, and despite knowing Midoriya was standing right beside him asked, “Are you getting.. cold feet?”

“No it’s not like that, don’t be an idiot,” Bakugou scoffed. “I just.. agh fuck off! Forget it you fucking ass!” It was taking everything in Mitsuki to not kick that door down and then kick her son.

“Kacchan?” Midoriya spoke up and he couldn’t see it but on the other side of the door, Bakugou’s eyes widened up.

“Deku?” He replied.

“Yeah, it’s me.” Midoriya replied. “Can you open the door up for me?”

“Aren’t I not supposed to see you?” Bakugou asked, despite already climbing up off the floor.

“I’m making an exception,” Midoriya replied. “Open up the door, Katsuki.”

He did just that, and saw Midoriya’s gentle smiling face that quickly brought him back to reality. However, Bakugou was a wreck. His shirt was wrinkled and messed and he long ago discarded his vest and jacket as well as his tie. He wasn’t wearing shoes either. Not to mention his hair was even more of a mess than normal — even though Midoriya didn’t think that was possible.

“Can you guys go outside for a bit?” Midoriya asked and Kirishima nodded before everyone else left the room. Bakugou stood there, anxiously grinding his teeth together. He didn’t know what to say, Midoriya was perfectly put together, and here he was wrecking things.

“I’m so —”

“Don’t apologize,” Midoriya smiled as he took a step forward and wrapped his arms around the blonde who was red in the face. “What’s the matter? Tell me what’s bothering you.”

“Well..” Bakugou let out a sigh. “I just.. fuck I’m just fucking nervous.”

“Mhm,” Midoriya hummed. “Why are you nervous?”

“Because I don’t want to fuck anything up! Everyone is expecting me to drop the ball on this one and I didn’t want to ruin all of the work you put in by being a shithead!” Bakugou huffed, he was throwing his arms around although still careful to not his Midoriya with them and Midoriya only listened patiently. “I want this to be what you want it to and I’m already fucking it all up!”

“Kacchan,” Midoriya hummed. “The only thing that would ruin this is if you weren’t here.” Bakugou met Midoriya’s eyes for what felt like the first time in years. “If anything I’m going to be the one who trips down the aisle. And it will be me who drops the cake and me who spills the wine on himself. It’ll end up being me who accidentally steps on your feet, and if anything you’ll have to catch me before I fall.”

Bakugou finally broke and smiled. “I knew I made a good choice,” he said before kissing the top of Midoriya’s head.

“Also Kacchan,” Midoriya said. “This day isn’t about me, and it isn’t about you. It’s about us so whatever happens, it’ll be okay because we have each other.”

Bakugou nodded his head. “I’m sorry I broke the rules.”

“Well I broke the rules,” Midoriya laughed. “I’m the one who came here. It wasn’t fair though! Todoroki left first and then Iida and then my mom came and took Uraraka.”

“I should probably apologize to Todoroki for almost blowing his head off, too bad I won’t.” Bakugou chuckled and Midoriya laughed too despite trying to give him a disapproving look. “Thanks for breaking some rules for me though.”

“Wasn’t the first time, won’t be the last time,” Midoriya smiled. “You’re a troublemaker.” Bakugou glared at him but before he could say anything to counter him, continued on.  “Let me help you,” He touched Bakugou’s hair and then felt some sort of product in it. “What is this?”

“Kirishima thought it might be a good idea to comb my hair down.” Bakugou grumbled and Midoriya only laughed in response before grabbing a brush and trying to return it to its former pomeranian glory.

Midoriya adjusted Bakugou’s shirt next, and slid the vest onto him before picking up the pretty pink tie. “Are you gonna wear this?”

“Of course I’m gonna fucking wear it,” Bakugou scoffed. “You wanted me to wear the stupid ass tie, and I’m gonna fucking wear it.” Midoriya smiled as he slid it around the base of Bakugou’s neck before tying it.

“Thank you Kacchan,” Midoriya said as he patted his chest. He then picked up his jacket and watched him slide it on. “Where are your shoes?”

“Uhh.. over here,” Bakugou said before grabbing the black dress shoes and sitting down to put them back onto his feet. When Bakugou looked up from his shoes he saw Midoriya standing there with the biggest smile across his face. “What’re you all smiley about?”

“I know it’s not supposed to be like this,” Midoriya said. “But I’m glad it was anyways. I liked getting to see you. I was also pretty nervous too, so I think this definitely has calmed my nerves.”

“I don’t know why it’s nerve wracking, like we’re obviously gonna go out there and both of us agreed to get married so it’s not like someone will say no.” Bakugou sighed as he finished fixing his shoes.

“I think it’s just that we don’t want it to go badly, like we want everything to go without mistakes even though that will never happen.” Midoriya shrugged.

Bakugou couldn’t help but to smile as he stood from his seat and walked over to Midoriya before placing a kiss to his slightly parted lips in a way that almost felt rehearsed. He pulled back and ran his thumb across Midoriya’s cheek. “We can do more of that later tonight.”

Midoriya — who would normally scold Bakugou for a comment of that nature — giggled as he looked at him.

The two left the room hand and hand and each of the members in the room were wide eyed to see Bakugou put completely together. It almost seemed unreal to think that Midoriya had such a firm grasp on Bakugou that he could talk him down from any ledge.

“The ceremony is in, like ten minutes,” Kirishima said. “Is everything good? Everything ready?”

Midoriya looked up at Bakugou. “Kacchan?”

“Ready whenever you are,” he replied and Midoriya smiled and nodded to the group.

And so they made it to the altar, Midoriya was right, he did stumble walking down the aisle and Bakugou snorted when he saw it but with a red face, Midoriya just kept going.

Of course, Midoriya made the next hiccup too. He was too busy getting to stare directly at Bakugou, admiring the way the sun shined through the trees, he didn’t even hear the officiant beside him asking the question. “Deku,” Bakugou hummed. “He’s asking you something.”

“H-Huh?” Midoriya’s eyes grew wide as he turned to the man standing beside him, holding in a laugh. He dropped Bakugou’s hands in a panic and felt them immediately try to hide his face “Oh! I-I’m so sorry, I — Ah !”

Many of the people who realized what was happening were also laughing, and he swore he heard Uraraka behind him say, ‘good grief.’

“Just asking if you’ll take Bakugou Katsuki’s hand in marriage, no big deal,” the officiant smiled.

“Oh, right!” Midoriya squeaked. “Ah, yes, I-I do.”

“Oh my fuck,” Bakugou chortled as his head fell back.

The officiant read through the same thing, and then asked Bakugou a matching question. “Fuck yeah, I do.” Was his answer.

“Kacchan,” Midoriya whined. “Why swear?”

“You just agreed to marrying this cusser.” Bakugou shook his head with a smug grin.

A couple of laughs later, the officiant declared that they could kiss and Bakugou wasted no time dipping Midoriya down and slamming their lips together, pulling on his bottom lip as he pulled away.

Many people clapped as Bakugou lifted Midoriya off the ground, stating “ my fucking nerd” as he walked back up the aisle and enjoyed every step that caused Midoriya to be even more red in the face. “Better carry you so you don’t trip again.” Bakugou chuckled and Midoriya groaned in response. “If there isn’t a picture of you tripping I’m asking the photographer for a refund.”

“You’re ridiculous,” Midoriya laughed.

The reception was inside, and many people were enjoyably chatting with one another. It was small, but that was the only way they wanted it to be. Midoriya often found his mother teary eyed at the fact that she ‘couldn’t believe her baby boy was getting married’ and every time he had to calm her down before she could continue to enjoy things.

“Oi! Deku!” Bakugou shouted from beside a table before holding up a rather large knife that made Midoriya’s eyes widen. “Cake cutting time.”

“Oh! Right,” Midoriya smiled and walked over to where the large and rather impressive cake stood. Bakugou wrapped Midoriya’s hands around the cake before wrapping his hands over the smaller and scarred ones himself.

The knife slid down easily, and soon there were two plated pieces — one for each of them. Bakugou watched Midoriya already taking a bite. “Was I not supposed to?” He asked with his mouth full.

“Deku,” Bakugou said with a calm voice. “This is the first, last, and only time I will ever say you can slam a piece of cake in my face. And you are instead going to —”

Midoriya cut the blonde off by pushing the plate into his face, when he pulled it off, Bakugou looked relatively unamused as he turned his head back to face Midoriya. “You said I could, Kacchan.”

“Well are you gonna lick it off —”

Kacchan!” Midoriya snapped at him before Bakugou repeated the same action to Midoriya who whined when it was pulled off. “Awh, I hope it didn’t get in my hair.”

“Oh shut it.” Bakugou chuckled as he slid his finger down Midoriya’s cheek and licked the cake and frosting off. “Mm, good frosting.” Midoriya was only thankful that no one could see how fiery red his face was.

Bakugou and Midoriya managed to mingle around with their guests while still being able to steal moments with one another. It was only when Midoriya was talking to a few relatives that he heard Bakugou shout in excitement.

“That’s amazing!” Bakugou laughed as he looked over the shoulder of the photographer. “Hey Deku! He got you tripping!”

“No,” Midoriya whined. “Kacchan we are not going to keep that photo.”

Hell yes we are! I’m hanging it!” Bakugou replied and Midoriya sighed even more.

“Just think about it Deku,” Uraraka smiled as she sipped out of a glass. “One day when you’re all settled and you have kids, they’ll point at the photo and ask ‘what’s that’ and Bakugou’s response will be between fits of laughter as he says, ‘that’s your father tripping down the aisle at our wedding,’” Midoriya sighed again before trying to find solace in the entire situation.

Midoriya did step on Bakugou’s feet — just like he predicted. They were dancing together, pressed against one another and smiles on their faces, and Midoriya did just the thing he knew he would. “I swear you’re not normally this much of a putz,” Bakugou laughed it off.

“You’re awfully cheery,” Midoriya smiled at him. “I don’t think you’ve threatened to blow a single person up.”

“It’s still early,” Bakugou shrugged. “Besides, I could always threaten to blow you up just for saying that.”

“Mm, I do have a good life insurance policy that you would receive benefits from.”

“Fuck yes.”

“Kacchan!”

“Relax, relax,” Bakugou chuckled. “It would be obvious if I was the one to kill you, so I would get caught and then.. Well then I wouldn’t get to enjoy any of your benefits. Besides, it’s too early to blow you up because I have plans for you later.”

“P-Plans?” Midoriya’s face tinted a dark shade of red at Bakugou’s smug grin and the nod of his head.

“Oh yes .” Bakugou replied as he spun Midoriya around.

Bakugou also hated the fact that Midoriya forced him to dance with his mother as Midoriya did his own, but he complied at least in that circumstance and surprisingly, they didn’t start screaming at each other halfway through. Which by Midoriya and Inko, was considered a win.

“So,” Inko spoke to her son as they watched the two swaying. “Are you boys going to have to pay for what Katsuki destroyed?”

Midoriya sighed loudly. “Yeah, we will. It turned out him just being nervous, can you believe that?”

“Yeah, I can,” Inko smiled. “No one is immune to being nervous, not even Katsuki. I am surprised he wore the tie though.”

“Right? I thought he wouldn’t.” Midoriya laughed along with his mother.

As the festivity came to a close, Midoriya and Bakugou made it into their car, determined to get as far away from everyone else as possible. Midoriya turned the radio up as he turned his head to Bakugou, smiling fondly at the fact that this got to be his husband.

“You should stop staring, it’s rude,”

“I can stare at you all I want.” Midoriya hummed. “So, next stop?”

“Well the apartment,” Bakugou said. “Cause I forgot a few things we need. Then honeymoon plans. Two weeks. I worked fucking hard to get them off.”

“Well, I did too.” Midoriya laughed.

“Also,” Bakugou began. “If I get a single work call during these two weeks — or you do — I am breaking both of our phones, our laptops, and any other technology and we are going to go live off the grid in a cabin in the woods. So you better make sure that you aren’t going to get a single fucking work call.”

Midoriya laughed a little bit. “Alright, Kacchan, I’ll make sure of it. Can’t have you losing your mind and becoming mountain men.”

“See? Why does that sound so bad?” Bakugou chuckled. “We could go on hikes every morning and just fucking eat berries all the damn time. It sounds amazing.”

“For you maybe,” Midoriya laughed. “Are you going to make me go hiking with you tomorrow morning?”

“No because you won’t be able to.”

Kacchan! Stop!” Midoriya whined loudly as Bakugou laughed. “You’re vile .”

“So whenever you’re ready to file for that divorce, just let me know.”

“I’m ready now.”

“Good because I want to enjoy this honeymoon all by myself.”

“You get one week and I get the other week.”

“Deal.”

The two sat in silence a little before beginning to laugh at their exchange. “Ah, I love you.” Midoriya sighed happily.

Bakugou hummed a little bit. “When did you know that you wanted to be with me?”

“Uhm..” Midoriya pursed his lips together. “Well I mean you came on very strong and suddenly.”

“You have a thick skull.”

“I think it was when I got upset because Mineta drank the rest of my juice. It really wasn’t a big deal but Mineta did it,” Midoriya laughed. “And then when I woke up there was a bottle of juice outside my door, with a note attached to it.”

“‘You can stop bitching about your damn juice now,’ I remember.” Bakugou chuckled. “We had already been on our second date by then.”

“That’s when I knew I wanted long haul though, and the very next day I made it very clear that we were official.” Midoriya smiled. “Okay, same question to you.”

Bakugou thought long and hard, was there a single defining moment? “I don’t know a specific moment, but I do remember what caused me to ask you out in the first place.”

“Alright, go ahead.”

“Actually,” Bakugou laughed. “You can probably thank shitty hair for it. We were talking about why I still let you call me Kacchan after such a long time. Especially since the name itself was made by a literal fucking child.”

“So you asked me out because..? I called you a childhood nickname?”

“No because I fucking loved hearing you say it.” Bakugou answered. “I never once found myself getting annoyed by you saying it, and I get annoyed about many things. As you may have already realized.”

“Really? Huh, didn’t notice.” Midoriya laughed. “Our first kiss was pretty tragic too.”

I tried my fucking best .” Bakugou huffed. “That whole date was a little messy, but what did you expect?”

“It to be a lot worse than it was, which is why it seemed to be so great.” Midoriya laughed. “We got it by the fourth or fifth date.”

“Fourth or fifth!?” Bakugou shouted. “Fucking shitty nerd! I tried my hardest! If we’re complaining about firsts, then you have that time when we —”

“Don’t you dare say it,” Midoriya glared at him. “Or I will bring up the entire incident you had when Uraraka found you in the janitor’s closet.”

Bakugou took a deep breath. “Fair. No one shall mention anything.”

“The first time you told me that you loved me was cute though,” Midoriya smiled. “You’re not normally one to get flustered, but you showed up with a bunch of roses to our date, which was just to the movies so it was a little odd holding them. You were as red as my sneakers.”

“You started crying though, so,”

“You’re right.” Midoriya laughed. “You are definitely right. Do you remember what happened when you came to my house for dinner the first time?”

“Your mother cried more than you do.” Bakugou chuckled. “And when you came to dinner at my house.”

“I thought I was going to die, or actually, your mother was going to kill you.”

“Your mom is a lot calmer than my mom,” Bakugou laughed. “Oh wait shit.”

“Hm?”

“Your mom is my mom now.”

“Oh, right,” Midoriya hummed. “So your mom..”

“Hah! I call dibs on your mom!”

“Your mom is nice to me,” Midoriya replied with a smile. “She’s a very sweet lady, you’re just.. of the same temperment.”

Bakugou sighed. “Fuck, fine. I do need to discuss something serious with you though; now that we are married.”

“Sure,” Midoriya replied, he felt a little confused at this point, and a little concerned. After all, what could Bakugou want.

“I think, that when we get back from our honeymoon,” Bakugou began. “We should start looking at adopting..” Midoriya’s eyes widened. “A cat.”

Midoriya let out a huge breath. “I thought you were going to say something else, which I am not ready for.”

“I want a fucking cat, Deku.”

Midoriya frowned a little bit. “I kinda want a dog.”

Bakugou turned his head to Midoriya, and the look on his face was that deadly one that almost made him seem insane. “And I, want a fucking cat, Izuku. So we are getting, a fucking cat .”

“Why can’t we have both?”

“Because I don’t want a shitty dog! I want a fucking cat!”

“I want a female dog, so when I say ‘bitch’ it could be either of you.” Midoriya turned to a jaw dropped Bakugou.

“You’re fucking dead.” Bakugou replied. “I am driving us off of a cliff . Unless you say I can have a fucking cat!”

“What will you name your cat?”

“Lord Explosion Murder.”

“Ah your long forgotten attempt at a hero name,” Midoriya laughed. “What if you get a girl cat?”

“Lady Explosion Murder.”

“I see you’ve put a lot of thought into this,” Midoriya smiled as he grabbed one of Bakugou’s hands. “Sure, you can get a cat. But I am getting a dog because I feel like that’s fair.”

“Your dog isn’t allowed to sleep in the bed!”

“And your cat is?”

“Lord or Lady Explosion Murder will go where he or she fucking pleases.” Bakugou replied. “It’s a cat, they don’t give a fuck and that’s why I like them.”

“Okay Kacchan,” Midoriya hummed. “We can look at it when we’re all done vacationing for probably the last time in our entire lives.”

Bakugou laughed at this point. “Alright.”

Midoriya smiled as he leaned back into his seat. “I love you so much.”

He was expecting a sarcastic remark from Bakugou, which is usually what he got mainly because it always flustered Bakugou so much. “I love you too, now husband of mine.”

Midoriya smiled at him, humming happily as he admired the way the setting sun reflected onto Bakugou. In all honesty, if you told him this is where he would be when he was nervous growing up, he wouldn’t have believed you. It would be the same way if you told Bakugou — and he perhaps would have attacked you — but it offered some tranquil peace to know that they ended up right where they needed to be.

Notes:

Tbh I might finish this off with some.. good ol' wedding night fun if you catch my drift. So stay tuned for that. Or maybe add some more fluff and actually do something with that cat and/or dog that was mentioned early on because I have adopted animals before and it is an amazing experience.
