Ground Zero: The legend of seven seas

Summary:

In the end of the world he got to choose; Evil or good? Thief or hero? Chaos or peace? Friendship or betrayal? Life or death?
All of it burdening his shoulder and heart… what is the right answer?

The words echo through his head.
“If you don’t get the book… Will you go back to die?”
He feels the mismatched concerned eyes on him but he doesn’t have it in him to face them now.
He breathes in heavily and exhales slowly to collect himself. Determination back on his face.
“I will go back.”
He says as he takes the first step… nothing happens and he feels relief washing over him. He is one step away from the stolen treasure when the ground beneath his feet starts cracking.
He feels a cold breath behind his neck as the ruthless and amused goddess of chose whispers in a singing tone.
“You’re lying~”
And he stars falling as the laughter fills the air.
What was he thinking? He is no hero. He would never be a hero. A black hearted thief is all he ever gonna be.
He thought as he closed his eyes and surrendered to the fall.

Chapter Text

From the depth of the darkness a shadow emerged slowly. Casting upon the small world smiling evilly.

Blond hair and red eyes, fixed on her pray… the low sweet voice held so much madness in it when it echoed through the shadows.

“Wake up my beauties; rise and shine. It’s a brand new day and the mortal world is at peace, but not for long… Just look at them… I pull one tiny tread and their word unravel in chaos. Glorious chaos.”

She says as she walks closer. Smiling down at her little pawns.

“And what could be more perfect than this? The successor of the peace, a priceless treasure, and a black hearted thief. Oh… This is going to be fun.”

She looks over her shoulder, where one of her handmade sea monsters waits for her command.

“Nomu. You know what to do.”

With that the monster lounges forward and disappears into the mortal word.

She lets out a small laugh and stares back at the scene that is about to display.

“let the game begin.”

Back at the mortal world, two ships are sailing on the sea.

On the smaller one’s deck the crew are lined up to listen to their captain’s words before they get to their biggest job.

The infamous captain walks to the head of the line with his most trusted assistant by his side. His loyal buddy, lord explode murder, an overgrown puppy that he had saved when he first started his pirate career.

And until this day that the Ground zero’s name was known as one of the most infamous pirates all over the seven seas the little guy had been sticking around.

He grinned at the drooly dog and started his heated speech.

“Ladies and gentlemen… This is what we have been waiting for… The world’s most valuable object is on its way to UA.”

He announced as he walks up to the ships wooden edge and grips one of its old but strong ropes.

“It’s such a shame that it will never get there.”

He grins back at his crew.

“After today we retire to Fiji.”

He says and looks at the royal colored ship in front of them and listen to his men cheering at the news.

“Shitty hair!”

He calls out as the crew gets to their positions.

“I got you.”

The red headed guy calls back as he turns the helm.

The ship’s prow faced in the other ship’s direction.

“Explodo!”

He calls out to his good little buddy and the big-fram black dog jumps at the special handle and pulls it, causing the sharp blades to come out of the ship’s hull. Everyone held on to something as two ships crashed together, hooked by the blades.

“Let’s get rich.”

The blond captain yelled and jumped on the other ship as he drew his double blades midair, landing in the middle of the soldiers that were trying to hold his crew off their ship.

Meanwhile his explodo partner jumped on his favorite toy and pulled the bone the was tied to it, he was flying toward the other ship in the next moment. As perfect as his mighty owner he lands on his target and makes his way by jumping on every poor head that pops in his way, spreading his drool all over them in excitement.

That was enough distraction for the other crew to get in as well. Kirishima is in the front as usual, breaking a part of the royal ship in a display of strength and also obtaining a decent weapon that didn’t kill.

Others also made their way to the ship, knocking the guards out with practiced ease.

In the middle of them all a group of soldiers surrounded Ground zero running towards him in the same time, in hope of capturing the sea’s wild legend but they couldn’t be more wrong.

The blond man grinned as he stabbed his long blades on the deck and raised on them gifting every one of the royal guards the taste of his midair charged kicks. He jumped back on his feet when the last soldier was knocked out in pain and drew his blades out, placing them back on their sheath over his back.

“You got that last move? Pretty cool huh?”

He said grinning at his right man, who had a poor soldier in a headlock. The red headed guy smiled brightly.

“I thought you overworked it…just a bit,”

He answered indicating the last part with his hand. This earned a grown from the blond and the poor guy in the headlock position finally was knocked out by a punch from the redheaded guy.

“Uh… You… Overworked it?”

The blond said rolling his eyes as he walked toward the back of the deck, where his men have seemed to be struggling against something.

Kirishima wasn’t far behind his trail.

He heard a loud scream as a soldier charged at them with his sword. He didn’t bother to drew his blades out. The fool was going after Kirishima. The man swung the sword at Kirishima’s head. The toned smiley guy caught the sharp edge of the sword between his sharp teeth and stopped man’s attack. Bakugou could see the man’s face losing a few shades of color facing at the red riot’s strength. Kirishima tried to express his best apologetic smile with a sword between his teeth and pulled at it. The guy was too deep in shock and couldn’t let go of the sword in time and as a result he was thrown off his feet and in to the sea.

Bakugou crossed his arms and arched a brow at the scene.

“Oh… And I was overworking it?”

The shitty hair, according to the blond’s brand of nick names, spat the sword and grinned sheepishly. He rolled his eyes at that again and made his way toward the other side of the deck.

He looked over to where that most of his crew were fighting against one man and were failing so miserably. He couldn’t believe he had let these idiots on his ship in the first place. How hard disabling a single man could be?

His thoughts trailed off as he spotted a mop of green hairs and that familiar fighting style. Those could only belong to one person.

He stopped on his track.

“Deku?”

The shitty hair looked over the blond’s shoulder and saw the man it the noble peace keeper cloth.

“This just got interesting. How long has it been?”

The frown finds its way back at his face.

“A lifetime ago.”

He says as he walks up the stairs, watching the pathetic excuse of a fight his crew were putting up.

He leans back on the wooden door and grins.

“Still fight like an old lady.”

“Kacchan?”

The green headed man gets distracted by him and gets tackled down by five bodies at once. He huffs amused and pushes himself off of the wall, walking toward the locked up door, separating him from his biggest success.

“Kacchan. What are you doing here?”

The annoying guy pulls himself out of his men’s grip without much struggle.

He really needs to reconsider his choices of men.

He decides to answers the nerd instead.

“I’m working. You?”

Without a care in his voice, he dragged his diamond dagger out and lounged it into the door’s lock, breaking it in one hard tug.

“What happened to you? Where have you been?”

The nerd rambled on as he freed himself from the blond’s men completely.

“Long time no catch up. But I have things to do… places to go… stuffs to steal.”

The blond rolled his eyes and pushed the door open as he stepped in the room.

The nerd followed him into the room while Kirishima stopped the crew from following as well.

The blond man whistled loudly upon laying eyes on the priceless object laying unprotected in front of him.

“Oh yeah!”

His arm was grabbed then.

“Kacchan. We need to talk.”

He shrugged his arm out of the other’s man’s grip without taking his eyes off the treasure.

“Heard about it… read about it… never actually seen it.”

He said stepping closer to the open glowing book.

“The book of peace.”

The fucking nerd invaded his moment again.

“It’s my job to bring it safely to UA.”

He couldn’t roll his eyes more than he was doing right now.

“Really? You see… Now I just feel bad… Because you’re gonna get fired.”

The nerd’s eye grew wider than usual.

“You can’t be serious… You disappear for ten years, show up and rub me?”

Bakugou grins without a hint of guilt on his face.

“I wish it wasn’t you. I do… really. But…”

He said suppressing his internal wild grin.

Apparently this ticked off the usually calm nerd off his last nerve.

“BUT IT IS ME KACCHAN.”

He dropped the sympathy act and let the corner of his mouth to freely curves up.

“Deku. We had special hand shake, some code words, a secret hideout… it was fun. Big fun. But… uh… we were kids.”

This gets under the other’s skin so fast. Good to know, he could get back at him for all those times that the nerd would get under his skin with his all heroic act.

“We were FRIENDS. You’re not gonna steal this. Not from me… and what would you do with it anyway? The book of peace protects all of us in twelve cities.”

Bakugou’s grin becomes wider.

“Exactly. So imagine how much all of them will pay to get it back.”

Deku stares at him. still not believing the words caming out of the blond’s mouth.

“Let me say this again. A long time ago, you and I were friends. If that ever meant anything to you… prove it now.”

Oh… The hope, glowing in those green eyes.

“You’re right…”

Too bad he got to break it though.

“That was a long time ago.”

He said as he reached forward to grab the book.

A hand curved around his wrist and twisted it in time before his fingers could touch the book.

He was thrown backward and one of the blades on his back was taken.

So the fucking nerd wasn’t beating around the bush all this time. Fucking perfect.

He drew the other blade out and regain his balance at once.

“Oh… come on. Don’t get all heroic Deku.”

“If you want the book you have to go through me.”

The green headed man stood tall and hold the blade in a defensive pose.

Still a coward!

“Easy.”

He said grinning fully.

And with a first experimental clash of the blades it turned into a full sword fight. Just like back then. Before they grew apart. Before he leaves everything behind.

They both were smiling full of challenge as they attacked or dodged.

They end up face to face, challenging the strength of the other by bushing their blades together.

Before it could be decided, a loud crashing sound came from the wall.

They only had time to throw themselves out of the way as a big tentacle broke into the wall.

“What the fuck?”

That was the only thing that came out of Bakugou’s mouth before the sound of panicked shouts spread throughout the whole ship.
