Work Text:

He stared at his hands, unusually small and childlike. Ye Xiu’s now the size of a medium to large sized dog, not any taller than a standard sized Siberian Husky.

“You’re a magician?”

“That term is degrading amongst our kind, but essentially yes. I’m a wizard.” It took all of Wang Jiexi’s power to not laugh at his high pitched voice. Was this unintentional consequence worth it? Probably not, but it was just an accident afterall.

“Is that the reason you choose the Witch as your class in Glory?”

“...” The silence was telling.

“That’s great to know.” It honestly was. Ye Xiu had more of a reason to actively avoid him now, “Now return me to normal.”

“There’s just a slight problem with that”, Wang Jiexi had the decency to look ashamed, “I don't… know the spell to take you back to your original form. The book did say that this will wear off after a few hours. Human transformation is a complicated process, but you'll be fine.”

Ye Xiu wanted to hit him, badly.

“At least you’re not five?” He didn't dare mention transfiguration or, god forbid, transmutation. That was just asking for trouble and would make the entire conversation more complex than a simple accidental wave of his wand. But, small size aside, there was nothing wrong with him. In fact, he was like a little doll or a plush tsum tsum.

“How's being this small good?! If I were to buy cigarettes, I'll be laughed at!”

“Take this as a lesson to stop.”

He kicked Wang Jiexi where it hurts

“Your legs are like tender noodles, limp and soft. I can barely feel it.” Wang Jiexi didn't mention that he fortified himself right before, the man felt more satisfaction seeing Ye Xiu act so irrationally.

“Your crotch is glowing.”

“It's normally like that.”

Ye Xiu didn't believe a single word he said and promptly hopped off to go and smoke the last cigarette in his packet.

“Don't worry, this will wear off soon.” Wang Jiexi tried to palcate him, but Ye Xiu only walked away faster. He stopped to catch his breath every so often, though.

Thankfully, true to his words, Ye Xiu looked as tired and as tall as he was before being transformed.
