Summary
After decades of war, when it becomes clear that it is only a matter of time before Edom emerges victorious, King Asmodeus agrees to bury the hatchet with Idris - for a price.
Alec, once heir to the throne of Idris, comes to Edom knowing that he's no better than a prisoner-of-war. Magnus, who wants nothing to do with his father's power plays and politics, is furious that his father has saddled him with an arranged political marriage.
But the peace they have bought for both kingdoms is a fragile one, and with luck, maybe this arrangement will only be temporary.
And that's a good thing - right?
