Chapter Text
The crowd was pressing way too close.
Namjoon was unsure of when it had gotten this out of control but he was pretty sure it might have been as soon as they had stepped out. Usually, security was pretty good about keeping people back, and even the fans were decent about not crossing barriers.
This time, it was more than a little out of control, and the place they were walking through was getting smaller and smaller, to the point where he felt it when someone’s fingers brushed his shirt, nearly snagging his sleeve.
He kept his gaze away from there’s as he walked, and looked ahead, an immediate note of concern rising up. Yoongi was close up ahead, and he looked dwarfed by the crowd and the security on either side.
He sped up just a little, coming closer and noticing a few new things, like the white knuckle grip Yoongi had on his bag, or how tense his shoulders were. When Namjoon put a hand on his shoulder, he jumped, looking back briefly.
There was an edge of panic in his eyes and Namjoon honestly wasn’t surprised. It had taken years for Yoongi to get used to Namjoon and the other members touching him and invading his personal space, this situation would certainly freak him out, even after all this time.
Namjoon pressed even closer in response and when he relaxed a bit at that, he felt even more protective than he had previously. That Yoongi trusted him to invade his personal space, trusted him enough to relax, even if not completely, in this crowd because of him was astounding and it made something warm and fierce bloom in his chest.
He’d do anything he could to live up to that trust.
