    Shin wakes however many hours later, head still pounding, mind still reading, and feeling like he’s about to throw up. Fuck, he thinks as he rushes to the bathroom, it’s not just a headache.

    It’s a full-blown migraine.

    Once Shin has emptied his stomach of everything it had and then some, he’s left sitting on his bathroom floor. The pulsating has not gotten worse, but it hasn’t gotten better either— he’s still picking up the thoughts of his neighbours, and he almost entertains the thought of silencing them.
