The knight follows behind his boss, Johnny Seo. His boots echoing off of the palace walls as he leads him down the halls. He still couldn’t believe that he was now working for the Wong’s, the royal family.
It was a dream of the new knight, it was hard work getting to work by the Johnny Seo’s side was worth it in the end. Johnny pushes back his slightly dampen black locks as he opens a door leading to a study. He knew the palace had numerous doors and rooms but he never knew that the knights had a study.
Bookshelves touching the tip of the curved in ceilings, rows of colorful books sticking out catching your eyes. Three large windows allowed all the sunlight in no need for lights till it gets dark. Two long wooden tables were placed in the middle with chairs and separate tables for solo studying. A few file cabinets with numerous drawers were placed against the walls. They looked out of place but the knight knew they were here for a reason.
“Whoa.” He says, Johnny laughs and pats his shoulder.
“As a newly sworn in knight, we usually want you guys to study. About the family, your duties, and city stuff along with super naturals.”
The knight feels his skin rise at the word, “supernaturals” he knew that their city was full of them. He had nothing against them, they’ve never done him or his family wrong but the rumors is what plague his mind. He knew he’d come head on with them as a knight and that made him a little nervous. But, at the same time he was super interested in all the supers who were apart of the kingdom.
“Most new knights like to start with supernaturals, they find it more interesting. You can do as you please, and don’t be so nervous and let rumors bother you. Not every supernatural is a terrible person, shoot, some humans are even more evil than some supernaturals.” Johnny explains with a shrug, “It is just people, no matter what you have or what you don’t. People are mean.”
He nods firmly, “Of course, sir. I will get to studying how long do I study for?”
Johnny hums softly as he heads towards the file cabinets and the knight quickly catches up behind him. Johnny is humming softly nipping at his lower lip as he gasps to himself taking out three largely filled files.
“I assume you’ll start with the supernaturals first. It usually takes two days, one knight finished in a day which was a first.” Johnny says as he walks over to the nearest table, and the smack of the folders made the new knight jump.
“So, just read and take notes as you wish. Let me know when you finish this chunk of studying then we’ll move onto something else.” Johnny explains, “Good luck, newbie. I have a family to get too so I will see you around.”
They say their goodbyes and the knight plops down in his seat. The wooden chair is uncomfortable but hopefully it becomes bearable soon. He licks the tip of his index finger and opens the folder hit with an introduction paper. That of course was written by Johnny.
Hello to whoever is reading this,
When supernaturals became more open in our society in the earlier years, the king decided on taking down their names and personal information. It helps us as a king dom and as knights to know the supernaturals and their basic needs and powers. It strengthens the bond between humans and supernaturals. It helps the king understand their needs as they understand ours. Please learn and memorize as much as you can, notes are encourage d. Don’t be discouraged to ask for help as well. Good luck!
Johnny Seo.
The knight digs through his bag finding a torn up but functional notebook and a marker. Not the ideal tool to use but it’s what he’s came with. He flips through the first few pages jotting down the sub groups like vampires, witches, werewolves, fairies and etc. His eyebrow furrows at the “others” tab and makes a mental note to come back to that. He starts with witches and the well known coven of witches.
The Auheuy Coven.
Lead by Seola, she is the creator of her coven. When her original coven, the Pihsrats, had tried to overrule a nearby town and murder citizens for a ritual. The king decided the coven go into hiding and underground and the lead witch to be burned. That coven has been underground for 100 years now while Seola leads her own coven of 12 young witches. Some of the witches are related, while some are not. Seola has a wide knowledge of spells, ritual magic, demons, and more. The list continues, frozen at the age of 24. Her baby face puzzles everyone when they become aware of her knowledge and skills. Seola also became a known name when 18 years ago she created a teenage boy, hybrid plant by the name of Lee Donghyuck for a human couple. Who ended up surrendering the child to Seola who has properly adopted him.
The knight cocks his head at the line, hybrid plant? He assumes he’ll come across an answer soon and continues to go onto the next coven.
The Tevlev Coven
Lead by Bae Joohyun or Irene, she has been the leader of her coven for now 12 years. After the originator passed away from a battle, she left it to Joohyun. Joohyun leads four girls, it is a surprise to have a small coven but Joohyun is the most comfortable with her numbe rs. Wide knowledge with healing, mind control, spell casting and others she is very powerful and very close with Seola who she sees as an idol in her community. Joohyun is 25 and is the supernatural principal of Milrah, the first and only combined school.
The knight was familiar with Milrah, he remembers when the king decided on having a combined school and the outrage between both groups when it was announced. But, people still fight to join the elite school system even if it has supernaturals or humans in it.
The list of witches continues to name smaller groups of witches, the ones not well known or just starting. He jots down more notes and flips to the next group.
Vampires.
He wasn’t familiar with all the vampires in their kingdom, he was most known with the Bang clan. He knows there’s more vampires but that’s the most popular and well known. Also, because some vampires still have yet to say they’re vampires and have their info written in the system. Johnny mentioned that was a problem with some supernaturals. They like to keep their privacy and believe the information will be used against them.
The Bang Clan
Bang “Chris” Chan was turned into a vampire at the age of 21 almost 100 years ago. It isn’t known by humans who changed him but he has had a big input on how vampires treat humans and how we treat them. He only changes humans who are close to de ath, never purposely changing humans for his own advantage like some. Bang has powers from healing (which is rare for a vampire) to mind control. His clan is a mix of born vampires and changed, he made the acception of taking on the first ever born half human, half vampire Hwang Hyunjin 18 years ago.
“Another one?” He mumbled, “I can't even imagine being the first of anything. Especially something that new.”
The knight read over the first ever vampires, the vampires on the not so nice list. The ones who were known to kill humans just for the hell of it not just a small nip of blood but just to drain them.
The next tab intrigued the newbie because he was always a fan of werewolves, they interested him to most.
Werewolves.
The Kim Pack
Sangyeon leads the Kim pack, an unusual pack of werewolves who aren’t all related by blood but they’re a family. Sangyeon has his brother Hyunjae, who is also a co leader with him. Other than that, the two have collected a pack of 10 wolves who needed a family somebody to trust and created their own bond. A bond that was once frowned upon that became embraced when it came to their strength, work ethic and family dynamics. The youngest three of the Kim’s, Sunwoo, Hyunjoon and Eric were known to be friends with the half vampire and half plant hybrid.
His hands were cramping from the position he was in holding the marker and paper while flipping and scanning the info. He flew past the fairies, warlocks, angels and demons, humans containing powers along with numerous other supernaturals. His eyes were dry as he tried rubbing them for more moisture. He didn’t even realize it was late at night now and he filled in half of the notebook. He stands to stretch and reach across to plug in a nearby lamp. Plopping back down on the pillow he found an hour ago he continues to read.
He finally stumbled upon the others tab which had another page written by Johnny.
Hello!
You’ve made it to the others tab. A section of supernaturals who we have yet to classify to one type like vampires or demons. Supernaturals who are different in their own way, usually combining one or more powers than the usual or having powers we haven’t seen in ages. Someday, we can hopefully organize them in a better way. Enjoy reading and remember to take notes!

LEE DONGHYUCK
Born: June 6th
Human Plant Hybrid
Parents: Penelope and Jihoon Lee. Along with Seola.

Powers: produce clones, improve his and others physical conditions, spores of happiness, can talk to plants and animals.
The son of a scientist father and an avid gardener. His mother was unable to have children naturally. So, after reading up on it they planned to make a human child from chemicals and hand picked flowers and help from a witch to find other materials for a perfect baby. It all worked out until Donghyuck didn’t come out as a full human, more like a human form of a plant. Some plants such as honeysuckle (added for everlasting bonds of love), roses (for love, innocence, purity and beginnings and jealousy), sunflowers (for adoration, loyalty, longevity, provide energy and happiness).
He has a large sunflower on his right shoulder and honeysuckles on his inner left forearm. Falling leaves on his right rib, and vines on left leg. The flowers appear overtime as well too, he now has 15 different flowers and plants on his body. They are similar to birthmarks, and his power manifests through them. His needs do not resemble the normal human but he does need love, water and sunlight o r greenhouse lights to exist. He can consume food but doesn’t need to eat or gain anything from eating. He can also produce clones, improve his or others physical conditions. He also roots himself, the vines off of his body rise up in his skin and start appearing out of the skin. He roots himself into the ground or soil, does it when he’s weak.
He has “spores of happiness” according to Seola, no information on that. He can talk and help plants and animals around him.
His parents weren’t comfortable with raising a baby who wasn’t the normal standard of human. And, after years of abuse and negligence from his parents. Donghyuck was returned to the witches who created him at the age of eight, he had a broken arm when he was brought back. He has knowledge of spells, and due to his birth some unexpected powers can seep through him as well.
The knight finds himself sighing heavily after reading Donghyuck’s profile. He was just eighteen, almost nineteen and had to deal with all this hatred? When his parents were the one who created him? The knight felt bad for the young boy. He rubs his eye as he flips to the next profile.
HWANG HYUNJIN
Born: March 20th
Half Vampire, Half Human.
Guardian: Bang Chan
Parents: Jennifer and Hyungwon Hwang.
Powers: hypnosis, can turn into a bat, levitation, incredible strength and speed.
The knight swallows because the name Hyungwon was on the name of murderous vampires. The not so nice ones.
Hyunjin is the first in the nation to be born of a human mother with a vampire father. It happened about 19 years ago, a first to even have a mix relationship. When Jennifer became pregnant with Hyunjin, it was hard for her to find a human doctor to care for her and her son. Hyunjin was growing in her belly at an alarming rate, he was slowly draining blood and his strength was breaking her bones constantly. But yet, she refused to kill him because he’s her everything. Hyungwon, a very well known vampire one of the first of Luoes. Who was apart of the vicious human vampire war over 50 years ago nearly wiping out part of the population. It’s a mystery how the two became a couple and brought a child into the world.
Hyungwon didn’t change though, he was still murderous and stuck to his vampire ways. Knowing that his son was only going to be a half vampire did bother him. He had prayed that he’d have a full born vampire like he was but Jennifer’s DNA battled with his own.
Hyunjin was born at nearly 10 pounds, healthy with pointed white fangs. He grew quicker than most kids, due to his genetics and knowing he would age normally was new. But, he’s been told that he might stop aging normally when he hits 21. He befriended Donghyuck at the age of six when the two entered grade school and were being bullied constantly. Due to their half heritage and looking more human their supernatural classmates. They’ve stuck by each otherwise over the years.
Hyunjin has a normal appetite like a human but also craves blood. He can’t eat too much human food or he’ll be sick same with blood. His birth brought a wave of trust and new openings between humans and vampires. New relationships and it also made Hyungwon more kind. Hyungwon felt that Jennifer and Hyunjin should live in the kingdom while he stayed with his vampire coven. Jennifer felt safer to send Hyunjin to live with Bang Chan when he was ten. He’s been there ever since and he’s grown into his powers as well. He refers to Chan as his father sometimes due to his unknown relationship with Hyungwon.
Interesting. It was so fun to learn new things about their community, he truly enjoyed reading about supernaturals.
LEE JENO
Born: April 23rd
Powers: speaking with the dead and channeling the dead to have them speak through him, possessing people, telekinesis.
Guardian: he did live with a woman named Victoria but has been on his own for the past few months according to him leaving in early March.
Parents: unknown
Jeno’s history is very unknown he doesn’t live with anybody for a long time. He hops from orphanages, homes and hotel spots constantly. Despite his very terrifying powers, we hear that he’s kind from sources and that he uses his powers to help. If somebody has a loved one who passed, he will charge the person for a small fee or food (sometimes he goes days without eating) due to not having a stable home. He’ll allow that spirit to possess him or speaking with them through the ouija board he carries in his backpack.
He was born with black and white hair parted evenly down his scalp. He’s known to have a little bit of a temper but he’s kind and sweet, a source says he likes to say his hair represents the evil and good in his body. A yin and yang in a human representation is what he refers it too. His powers appeared as a toddler, he has gone in and out of school systems and joined Milrah this year for his senior year. The system is trying to pair him with families to live with but he refuses. He does tend to be at Seola’s coven with Donghyuck and his friends but no sign of him living there. He’s a mystery to us. There’s some people who do possess the skills he does but not all at once. Jeno also has taken a liking to another other named Chenle, the two are seen often together.
MARK LEE
Born: August 2nd
Species / Power: Shape Shifter / Charmed Allure
Guardian: Choi Minho
Minho? Johnny’s close friend, one of the most well known knights is the father of a supernatural?
Parents: Cynthia and Thoma s Lee (dead).
The knight gasps softly and continues to read.
Mark Lee was born to Cynthia and Thomas in the city, normal and healthy. Until, he was seven months old and became familiar with their cat who adored Mark. Cynthia was cleaning as he was playing with the cat and when she turned to check up on him. She saw two cats, not her son, but a cat where her son was.
At the time, it was hard for humans to take their possible supernatural children to human doctors. They kept Mark wrapped up hidden from anybody, and it was hard since something about Mark was alluring to everyone. The doctor, a minotaur informed the couple that Mark was indeed a shapeshifter. They also mentioned that Mark has the power to allure people to him. Since he was so young, he wasn’t aware but he can draw people to follow his whim and persuade them, even manipulating them. The doctor told us that they cried a lot that day. The couple vowed to try and keep Mark hidden from anybody due to his unusual power. They didn’t understand it or how he could shapeshift before he was a one year old. Their parents wanted to see their grandson but they didn’t allow it.
Mark was and still is a happy boy, he didn’t realize at that age his parents were ashamed of him. Due to a robbery when Mark was 10, his parents were murdered and Mark transformed into their cat and lead himself and their pet out of the scene. Mark has ran to the castle to report their death and that was when Mark had met Minho who was worried about the boy.
Not allowing himself to draw anybody to him, he pushed Minho away for two years. Minho visited Mark everyday after school, at the orphanage where he lived and kept up with him. On the local adoption day, he allowed Minho to officially adopt him. He’s happy, he still struggles to believe people actually care for him due to his power. But, he does well with his gift of shapeshifting from creatures and humans of any kind.
Charmed Allure? That was the first knight had ever heard of this power. Checking the clock and seeing it read, “1:05am” and sighing. It was late but he was so intrigued and feeling the small amount of pages, he was sure that he could finish this.
ZHONG CHENLE
Born: November 22nd
Species / Power: Fire / Victini
Parents: Unknown
Chenle surprisingly was found by Jeno in the woods one day. Close in age, Chenle really enjoys Jeno’s company and Jeno seems to be okay with Chenle’s presence as well. He is similar to a shapeshifter, he has a form called a Victini. A small rabbit like creature with round bright blue eyes. The creature has long pointed orange ears similar to flames in the shape of a V. It has small orange paws and feet with claws on both. Victini also has small orange colored wings on its back which means it can fly but due to its skills it can fl y with its psychic powers.
Nobody knows about the creature Chenle can form into. He only trusts a small amount of people, he can turn invisible if he doesn’t want to be seen in his human and Victini form along with using his powers in his Victini form that include fire and psychic skills. He goes to school at Milrah, he’s very intelligent even though it’s unaware when he started gaining an education. He also is seen often with the professor, so people can know more about Chenle.
Chenle sees Jeno as family, it’s unknown how the two got so close. Chenle can be shy, he can carefree but also inclosed. Chenle is often seen in his Victini form on Jeno’s shoulder or back around town.
PARK JISUNG
Born: February 5th
Power: Electric
Parents: Professor
Jisung is the youngest on this page so far and one of the few electric born supernaturals that we have in the nation. A type of supernatural that died in the earlier years due to unfortunately war in the early years. His parents were not supernaturals but gave birth to an electric possessor, when his mother passed away his father dedicated his life to protecting Jisung.
His father, Professor, dedicates his life to Jisung and finding more people like Jisung. He’s very protective of Jisung and barely even wanted to enroll him in school. He felt as if he could teach Jisung everything he knows. Jisung’s electricity power is usually stored in his chubby cheeks, but he can transfer it throughout his body. Jisung’s favorite move is Static where it can cause paralysis to others in battles. Professor is also very passionate about keeping Jisung on his toes with fighting, he is very passionate about being a skilled fighter and skilled with his electricity.
Even though his father is very protective of Jisung, he has a very carefree and childlike attitude but he also mature when he needs to be.
The knight yawns loudly as he stretches a bit to gain more strength. Two more profiles and he was done, he wouldn’t have to read anymore for today. He could stop but he was just so intrigued. Electric? Shapeshifters and kids who can speak to the dead? All in their kingdom and the knight wasn’t feeling scared but interested more in them. He hoped he could meet them in some setting like how he hopes to meet Lucas as well too.
NA JAEMIN
Born: August 13th
Species: Cupid
Powers: empathy, enhanced archery, spell artillery, magic arrows, love bow construction, love empowerment, love inducement.
Parents: Na Sooyoung
Jaemin isn’t the only Cupid in the nation but he’s one of the youngest. The Cupids are slowly dying out but when Sooyoung, a fellow Cupid gave birth to Jaemin. It was truly a celebration, born with natural pink hair, small white wings and eyes filled with love. Jaemin is well known for his skills with his arrows and other weapons. Especially with creating love bows and magical arrows. Sooyoung keeps Jaemin on his toes and his fighting skills sharp. He is often seen fighting with Jisung who he sees as a little brother.
Even though he is Cupid, he isn’t always filled with love. He can be angry, he can get hurt and upset and be filled with greed like any normal human. He is like everybody else despite his appearance, sometimes people do mistake him for an angel which he doesn’t mind. Jaemin has sometimes taken money to help others fall in love but his mother told him to stop doing that as well. Jaemin loves to shoot arrows in his free time and taking flight with his wings.
Cupid? That is interesting, the knight felt a need to meet him as well. Last one then he could sleep!
HUANG RENJUN
Born: March 23
Power: Memory Manipulation / Telepathy
Guardian: Sicheng, his brother (Elasticity)
Renjun does have parents, him and Sicheng are very quiet about their whereabouts. It is believed they also have similar powers to their parents. Renjun has lived with his brother since he was eight, he is smart and bright and is very proud of his powers. One of the few supernaturals on the list who is open about his skills. He trains his mind everyday to better his powers, and uses them proudly through the day. He attends Milrah with the others on the list, almost have just one psychic power but it’s rare to possess two.
His memory manipulation can oneself and others, allowing them to modify, fabricate, suppress, influence, repair, restore, erase, detect, and view them. It can change memories to confuse, wipe away certain memories to cause amnesia, discern and provoke nostalgia, and enter the victim into a psychic vision, replaying their memory. Renjun did get in trouble once using his power to make a teacher forget he cheated on a test.
He was suspended for three days because of it, but he is well liked and is even apart of the council. It’s rare for supernaturals to want to help in a setting like that with humans but Renjun is very passionate about it. He believes he can make a differenc e between humans and supernaturals.
Because with Renjun, he is still treated differently due to his powers even though he’s 100% human. He can hear everything his peers say about his and his peers as well.
The knight thought he was done due to no more children being listed. But, he saw one more page with bold letters reading.

WONG YUKHEI / LUCAS SEO.
Born: January 25th
Parents: King Yixing and Queen Xiuying
Occupation: the 2nd prince
Guardian: Johnny and Ten Seo
Not many people know Yukhei as Wong Yukhei, but by his new given name Lucas Seo. He is the oldest of the Seo household where he lives with his adoptive dads and younger brother Yangyang. He is the student council president and has been since middle school. His friends say he’s the most popular student in school even though Yukhei doesn’t believe it.
Yukhei is not unaware of his history, he knows he’s a prince. The royal family take their family business very seriously. Yukhei’s adoptive father, Johnny Seo is his family’s highest and most respected knight was the one who suggested Yukhei go into hiding at the age of six.
Yukhei hasn’t lived in the castle since he was six years old. He visits often and studies with his brother and attends a plethora of meetings.
You’ll see him a lot either in the knight dormitory or as the prince. Even though, he is known as the missing prince. That does not change his status, he is still the second prince. Treat him with respect.
Yukhei lives in a cottage with his adopted parents and his brother. If you talk to Yukhei at all about the incident (which you shouldn’t), he won’t remember a lot of it. The details and memory are a little fuzzy and it was and still is very traumatic for the royal family and Yukhei.
The incident will be explained now. A thief, somebody from a nearby country or somebody who had an agenda against the royal family. They had murdered three knights that night and broke into Yukhei’s room and tried to take him. Yukhei still has very deep scarring on his wrists and ankles from the rope they used. If it wasn’t for Yukhei yelling then the knights on the nearby floor wouldn’t have heard him. The thief was murdered killed before he could get Lucas in the bag he planned to kidnap him in.
Unfortunately, Yukhei was still tied up and got splattered with blood.
The king and queen were so shaken up and they assumed more intruders would come for Yukhei, or even Kun or them. Nobody knew if he had partners or even more plans. It was Johnny who suggested Kun stays at the castle and focuses on his crown prince duties. Yukhei would leave and live under a new name and life as Lucas Seo, Johnny’s oldest and only (at the time) son.
It is unsure when the king and queen will reveal that Yukhei isn’t missing. It’s now been 12 years since he’s lived with the Seo’s and intruder free. Yukhei is thriving in school and still tries to remain engaged in prince life as he can. Yukhei does tend to refer to Johnny as his dad, and the king as his father. Do not question it.
But, if you speak of Yukhei’s history outside of the castle to anybody. You will be removed as a knight and punished severely.
The knight swallows thickly and can’t help but wonder if any knight has spoken of Lucas’s history. He stretches before flipping to the last page where Johnny has written a note.

These kids, are very special to us due to their unique powers and interesting history. And while, Yukhei is very special to everybody in the kingdom. We believe they’ll all be big in the future, so please. Treat them kindly and respectfully.

The knight closes his folder and runs his eyes, his eyes felt incredibly dry. He spent a long time on these notes and had so much to read tomorrow. He found a new respect for supernaturals and what they go through and that they work hard to keep themselves alive and making relationships. They don’t have it as easy as he does, and as a knight he has to protect everybody in the kingdom.
He cards his choppy brown hair before stretching, he had to go to sleep. A new day of new info was coming soon, and tomorrow he’d get to meet Lucas. The hidden prince that he just learned so much about and he was excited to see what that would bring too. It was the best thing to become a knight, he felt so proud to be a knight.
