Midoriya's pov:
"Hey Deku over here!" I turned to see Uraraka and Iida waiting for me and started to head towards them. As I got closer I noticed something seemed off about Uraraka. She looked really pale and wasn't acting herself.
"Uraraka are you okay? You seem really out of it." I asked pulling her away from her thoughts. "Oh um.. yeah just a bit tired that's all and we should get going if we want to eat in time."
I looked at her and then realised what the time was had I really left them waiting that long?
"Ah I guess you're right."
~incredibly short time skip to the cafeteria~
Third person pov:
Midoriya, Iida and Uraraka were all sat down at their usual table just having small discussions here and there. Whilst Midoriya and Iida were having their own conversations Uraraka was lost in her own thoughts. She continued to stare at Deku whilst he was talking away.
Uraraka's pov:
I wonder what he's thinking? He always seems so interested in something even when he's talking to someone. Wait I'm starting to feel really sick I need to go.
"Um guys I'll be back soon I need to go to the bathroom a second" I ran off leaving them behind me. I'm starting to feel worse and worse now the more I think of it.
I get to the bathroom and run into a stall locking the door behind me. I immediately start to choke barely being able to breathe but I really should hurry up before Deku or Iida start to worry. I ended up coughing as if I was trying to get something out of my throat but it's not like I ate anything that would cause this right?
I continued to choke until I threw up a petal?.. I stared at the flower piece that was now in front of me when I got interrupted by someone calling for me.
"Ochako? Are you okay Midoriya told me to come check on you he said you ran off to the bathroom and was taking awhile."
"I'm in here" I said slowly opening the stall door and started to choke again.
"Oh my god are you okay what's happening?"
"I'm fine" I said whilst still coughing.
"You clearly aren't okay.." She replies setting down beside me to rub my back and help me.
The choking kept getting worse until a whole flower shot out of my mouth and in front of me. Mina looked shocked but I can't blame her so was I but I'm too busy trying to catch my breath back.
"Ochako what.. what was that?"
"I honestly don't know why this is happening this has never happened to me before." Which is true I have never coughed up petals are a flower before but I have been coughing for the past week or so.
"Should we go to recovery girl or send you back to your dorm room?"
"No no I'll be fine I'm sure it's just a one time thing."
"Well if you say so but don't be afraid to ask me for help.." she seemed really worried like she didn't believe I was fine? But I wouldn't really believe me either I did just hack up a flower.
"Thank you Mina for being here I don't know if I would've been able to get rid of that if I was alone." Mina suddenly came to life giving me one of her signature smiles.
"Of course you are my girlfriend after all what was I supposed to do" (they're not actually together together they just call each other girlfriends just thought I would clear that up)
I smiled back at her and gave her a hug and she helped me up. I cleaned myself up and we left turns out we were late to class but Mina said that I was feeling a bit sick and needed a minute. We were still told a off a bit but gave us a pass this time.
~time skip to going back to the dorms~
"Uraraka are you okay after earlier I heard you were feeling a bit sick?" I looked up and saw Deku I blushed and panicked.
"Oh uh yeah just a small stomach bug I'm fine now" I smiled trying to give him reassurance.
"Good to hear" he smiled back and sat down next to me. (They're in the common room btw)
Im starting to feel sick again.. maybe it wasn't just a one time thing. I looked at Mina and gestured for her to come with me. She understood and followed me to my dorm room.
"Is everything okay? Are you feeling sick again?" She said worriedly.
"Yeah Deku sat next to me and suddenly I felt really sick like I did this morning. I started to cough and ran to my bathroom with Mina rushing to my side to help me. Petals were starting to fall out of my mouth until eventually a whole flower came out again. They were a pink colour with a green centre.
"when did you start feeling sick this morning?"
"I was having lunch with Iida and Deku and I was wondering what Deku was thinking and how he always seems so interested in something."
"Ochako.. I think you have hanahaki disease." Mina looked like she was going to cry her eyes were already tearing up but I can't exactly blame her.. the survival rate isn't very good.
"Hey... don't cry it'll be okay I'll sort this Okay you won't lose me" I felt really guilty for some reason like this was my fault.
"I better not you're my best friend" she wiped away her tears gave me a smile and hugged me. We stayed like this for a while but we had to head back to the common room before someone came looking for us.
