   Sequel to The Object of His Afflictions (and technically to Plague of Shadows)

   After the defeat of The Enchantress, The Valley is at peace once more, and its inhabitants are free to return to their happy lives. Brilliant alchemist Mona Mopes looks forward to being able to finally achieve her dream of becoming a famous alchemist and deciphering the deep secrets of the universe. Unfortunately, she is once again thrust into the shadows when she discovers a dark secret about her past... one that might threaten the entire Valley once again.
   But Mona is, of course, a lady of action, and she refuses to let disaster strike... even at the cost of her own life.
