Chapter 1: Can You Feel The Love Tonight

Chapter Text

"Tahani," Jason said, "You're so smart, like Nala from The Lion King."

"Chidi," Jason continued, turning to him. "You're so wise. Like Rafiki from The Lion King!"

"Eleanor; you're so clever, like Shenzi from—"

"The Lion King?" Eleanor finished expectantly.

"Yes! See this is what I mean! You guys know me so well!"

Chidi chuckled under his breath. Eleanor rolled her eyes, as her face split into a grin. Tahani shook her head softly, smiling as she did so. "We love you too, Jason darling."

Jason beamed at them—fork, that smile.

"Yeah," Chidi agreed, taking Jason's hand. "We do."

Notes:

I just finished season 1 of The Good Place and fork I ship them. I know the more obvious ships are Chidi/Eleanor/Tahani and Jason/Janet, but that feels mean to me, like Jason is being left out. So no, not an OT3: OT4 it is!!

Chapter 2: Dance Crew

Wrapped in the post-coital warm quiet, Jason stared at the ceiling, rubbing his thumb along Tahani’s arm. “We should start a dance crew.”

“A dance crew?”

“Yeah! It’d be tight!”

Eleanor twisted onto her stomach, propping her head up on one arm. “You’d teach us?”

Jason’s eyes lit up, as if that hadn’t even occurred to him. “Yeah! I can teach you guys, just like Chidi does!”

Chidi lifted his head just high enough to exchange looks with both Eleanor and Tahani, caught between that’s actually a decently good idea, and no way.

Unhelpfully, their eyes both held the same.

Chapter 3: Greek + Latin Roots

“We’re like a tetraquad,” Eleanor mused.

Tahani exchanged a look with Chidi. “‘Tetra’ is Greek,” she patently explained, “and ‘quad’ is Latin.”

“I like tetraquad,” Jason piped up.

Eleanor shot him a grin. “Tetraquad!” she began to chant. “Tetraquad!” Jason joined in. “Tetraquad! Tetraquad!”

To Tahani, Chidi said, “In their defense, the word ‘polyamory’ is a mashup of Latin and Greek. So it’s not unprecedented…”

Tahani looked mildly appalled.

“He’s on our side!” Eleanor squealed.

“No, I’m not, I’m just saying…”

But Eleanor kissed him then, and he made no more attempt to finished his sentence.
