Tsuyu couldn't help the impatient tapping of her foot as she waited for Toga. She usually didn't care when her girlfriend(?) was late for their little rendezvous, but after what Bakugou had said to her she couldn't help but to be nervous. She wasn't mad at him, no, that wouldn't be right. After all, it weren't like his suspicions were without merit. Toga was dangerous, a villain, yet there she was, waiting for her so that they may go get ice cream.
Tsuyu sighed, (partially in relief and partially in exasperation) as she saw a familiar yellow blob run towards her.
"Tsu!" Toga hums, face alight, "I feel as though I haven't spoken with you in a week!"
"Har, Har, you're so funny."
"I know, right?"
Ugh, she'd be mad if Toga wasn't so cute, "Ribbit. I'm not going to spur you on."
"Aw, fine."
"Anyway," Tsuyu began, ignoring Toga's obvious pout, "I finally found a sweet shop that serves ice cream as per your request. Kinda' weird that you still want ice cream when it's so cold."
"Yay! Thank you Tsu! Hey...did you just insult me? Meanie! I'm breaking up with you!"
The other girl grabbed her hand, "You could, but do I need to remind you who is paying for our little tryst?"
Toga just grumbled in response.
They walked in silence for a while, Tsuyu consulting her phone so that they may find her way. She should inform Toga that Bakugou was on to them. Yet, it was so much easier to just enjoy the silence.
Toga all but jumped as the store came into sight, dragging her girlfriend into the establishment, "Agh! Tsu! Look at all of the treats! Look at the chocolate strawberries!"
She then began to list off all the added desserts she wanted on her ice cream, and Tsuyu could feel her wallet getting smaller with each word. Once Toga had finally finished she went to go sit down, leaving Tsuyu to wait for the order. What a polite soul. By the time the food was ready, which didn't take like long since no one in their right mind was at an ice cream parlor in the weather, she went to go sit down behind her companion.
Before Tsuyu had even gotten comfortable, Toga was already digging in, "Thank you, Tsu!"
"I really don't understand how you can eat that stuff, ribbit," Tsuyu scrunched her nose at the mountain of gummies and chocolate atop the strawberry ice cream.
"You're the one...mff...who's missin' out," Toga stuffed even more food down her gullets, before a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes.
"No, no! Don't you dare !"
It was too late, a spoonful of whatever the hell Toga was eating was in Tsuyu's mouth. Oh God, and Tsuyu swallowed it. It tasted like death and chocolate and overripe cherries. Then Toga, that evil, evil psycho, she smiled and laughed.
"I'm...breaking up with you!" was all Tsuyu could choke out as she coughed.
"Aw, don't do that! I'm sorry!"
"You're still laughing!"
"Meh, you got me there."
By the time Tsuyu had sobered, she looked up to see Toga, who was looked at her through half lidded eyes, an amused grin on her face.
"Freckle face. There's something dark in her. A thirst for blood. She's a predator and you're her prey. Don't you see how she looks at you? I know that look."
Tsuyu gulped, feeling her blood run cold. She couldn't keep putting this off. Toga was in danger and to keep this from her would be selfish.
"Toga," Tsuyu took a deep breath, "We have a problem."
The other shook her head "Nuh-uh! You have a problem! this stuff is amazing, and the fact you don't like it is "
"No. I mean we have a real problem."
Toga cut herself off, grin weakening, "Huh?"
Tsuyu frowned, "Bakugou is suspicious of you. When he talked to me it seemed like he wanted to...investigate you? I don't know."
"I'm sorry," came the meek reply.
"Ribbit?"
The blonde tugged at her hair, "This is all my fault!"
The cashier looked at them skeptically, spurring Tsuyu to shush her, "Hey, hey. It's fine. You did great before, Bakugou is just annoyingly perceptive."
"That doesn't change anything," Toga grunted, chewing on her hand, though slightly quieter than before, "If your classmates found out...if anyone found out, you'd be in danger. I can't let anyone hurt my Tsu. If they do, if they even try I'll stab 'em and grind em' up."
"Toga," Tsuyu shook the other, "You're the one in danger right now, so take a deep breath and let's talk this out."
At that, she halted all of her ticks, "I'm the one in danger?"
"Yeah, I doubt your little club would be happy with this."
"Don't lecture me, babe. You've got a whole school to watch out for. Why do you even care what happens to me?"
Tsuyu felt her eye twitch. Was she seriously asking her that, "Because I care about you, idiot!"
"Huh...?"
"I just," Tsuyu lowered her voice, "I could lie. pretend you were threatening me or something, ribbit. But you, I don't think you have a good lie. I don't want you to get hurt."
Toga bit into her lip hard, stiffing giggles, "Do you really mean that?"
"Of course I do...did you really think I don't care about you?"
"I...I wasn't sure. You don't even call me by my first name. I've never," Toga wiped her eyes, "never really been with someone like this before."
Tsuyu grabbed on to her girlfriend's hand tenderly, "Well, neither have I. I'm sorry I didn't do a good enough job of showing you how much I care, Himiko."
"I'm sorry for not picking up on it," Toga countered coyly, though tears still stung her eyes, "I actually got you something."
With that, Toga pulled out a stuffed frog, handing it to the girl before her.
"It's cute," Tsuyu hummed, holding it close.
"Yay! You like it!" Toga bounced, "Now squeeze it like you're trying to force it's guts out!"
A strange request, but Tsuyu obliged. Before she had even begun to apply that much force, the frog's eyes popped out in an exaggerated motion.
Toga fell back, laughing, "Look at it! It's so ugly!"
Tsuyu couldn't help her giggles either, "You're so much prettier when you're smiling."
The other girl's hands shot over her face, "Ah! Stop it! You're embarrassing me, Tsu! When I get embarrassed I stab people!"
"I'm just telling the truth."
Toga hit Tsuyu's arm playfully, "Whatever. I'll take care of the Bakugou situation. You just take care of yourself."
"But "
"No buts. Just trust me, okay. Tsu cares about me, so Tsu should trust me too!"
The would be hero sighed, "Alright, ribbit. I trust you. Only if you never order whatever that nasty ice cream was again."
"Um..."
"Himiko," Tsuyu said in false warning.
"Fine. Only for you, Tsu."
Toga strolled back to the League of Villains base of operations. She never did get over losing the bar they used to stay at, even if she was never allowed anything more than apple juice by Kurogiri. They may have been murderers, but he would not allow underage drinking. She missed that guy sometimes.
She never did get to see him bleed.
"So the psycho finally graces us with her presence."
Toga turned to face the voice, singsonging, "Why hello dear, Dabi!"
Dabi huffed annoyed, "I'm not your 'dear.'"
Toga had grown close to the man in their months of knowing each other. She saw her like a brother to an extent, and knew he was the only real friend she'd had in a while. They were so close in fact, that he had noticed when she started disappearing, and had tailed her on one of her dates with Tsuyu. She wasn't going to point it out but Tsuyu seemed so happy! Of course, Dabi didn't care too much. He had his own secrets after all.
"You know you love me," Toga hummed, clinging onto his arm.
Dabi groaned, making a weak attempt to take her off, "I really don't. How was your little fling?"
"Oh, it was awesome," Toga jumped up and down, "Welp, except for the part that one of her classmates suspects us, but that's whatever. I'm just upset Tsu is upset."
Dabi nodded absently, "What's your plan?"
"Plan?"
"You may act like a little insane killer, but you're smart. You must have a plan."
"Maybe I do," she allowed herself to grin.
He snorted in response, "You're too trusting. You know I could go to Shigaraki any damn time and tell him about this."
"You could," Toga started, "But you wouldn't. 'Sides, then I could tell him about your little bird boy."
Dabi's face turned pink, "Shut up! I couldn't care less about Hawks! Tell Shigaraki we're getting married for all I care! Enjoy your bestiality!"
She laughed as he walked away, calling after him, "You too!"
She just barely was able to dodge the bright blue flames launched in her direction.
Himoto groaned, playing with her too long yet too short bangs. She had texted Bakugou to meet at the park hours ago. Honestly it was just rude he hadn't shown up yet.
"Oi, creepshow!"
Ah, there he was. Himoto turned to him, eyes aglow, "Heyo!"
"Don't you 'heyo' me!" Bakugou snarled, stuffing his hand in his pockets, "I knew there was something shady about you! How'd you get my number?"
She smiled softly, scrolling through her phone, "Now calm down, Bakugou. There's no reason to freak out. Good things come to those who wait, right?"
Bakugou let explosions play at his fingertips, "Hah? You want me to wait? You got a whole lotta' nerve !"
His voice died out as she showed him the picture on her phone, "Now...how bout' you sit next to me and play nice."
Though gritting through his teeth like a rabid dog, he did as he was told.
"You and Midoriya are rather close. I mean, that's obvious, right?" Himoto hummed, "But I never thought I'd be able to take a pic of you two macking!"
Bakugou looked about ready to explode, "How...How did you get that photo? And what do you want?"
"I have my ways," it sounded better than saying she had stalked him for several days, "Me? I just want for you to leave Tsu n' me alone."
"Hah?"
"Tsu told me you claimed to be suspicious of me. She was so upset! And when she's upset, I'm upset. So dear, leave me alone, or face the consequences. I can do a lot mor ethan take photos."
"It doesn't seem like I was wrong about you," Bakugou grumbled.
Himoto hummed, "Y'know, I wonder who I should send this to first? What if I sent it to darling 'round face?' She would be so heart broken. Ooh, what about your besties! Kirishima and Kaminari, right? How embarrassing!"
"I get it!" Bakugou heaved, "I'm out of your life! Out of your business! Just leave me and that nerd alone!"
"Consider it as good as done!" Himoto chirped as he walked off.
Honetsly, she almost felt guilty about doing that. She was a hopeless romantic, and to threaten someone with love like that? It hurt. But it was for Tsuyu, and she, she would do anything for her one and only.
No matter the consequences.
