There was a loud boom as the door to the computer lab slammed open to reveal an overly enthusiastic Vlad King and a very exhausted Eraserhead. Aizawa gave a quick nod to Midnight as they took her place in front of the class, thanking her for making sure everyone found the lab just fine.
“This is so exciting! After all everyone went through over the summer, this is just the perfect activity to help your two classes bond!” Kayama commented with a smile as she moved to the side to queue up her presentation.
Aizawa nodded in response before turning towards the class as Kan cleared his throat.
The young heros abruptly stopped their conversations and returned to their seats, curious to hear the presentation about to come as there had not been a activity involving both classes besides the sports festival.
“Welcome my students to our first joint hero class assignment of the year!”
A few cheers from students of both classes and claps rang out in the room as Sekijiro waited for them to quiet down before continuing.
“While this project is assigned for Midnights’ history class, she will only be grading the projects themselves while Eraserhead and I will be grading the actual presentation part of the project! As a reminder, presentations are worth 20 percent of your grade and projects are worth 25 percent, so it is in your groups’ best interest to be prepared.”
Iida's hand shot up eagerly, “Vlad King-Sensei do we get to choose our groups for this project?”
Aizawa sighed, “We have taken the liberty to assign groups.”
Most of the room groaned as they stared towards the foreign class while a few students were unable to contain their excitement as they stared at
“The object of this assignment is to research an assigned pro hero and create a presentation about their lives, why they wanted to become a hero, what their quirks can do, and more! The format of the project is either a written paper or PowerPoint, it is up to the group as to which one they pick. There must be a work cited at the end and you may not ask the pro hero assigned for any information since some of the hero's assigned are your teachers. Midnight has also emailed out a rubric to follow for this assignment.”
Kayama clicked to the next slide as she gave the classes a small wave, showing all the heros that will be given out for the project.
The classes noticed that All Might and Endeavor was strangely not amongst the pool, but chose to not mention that fact. Midoriya glanced over at Todoroki briefly with a small look of sympathy before turning back to his teacher.
“Thank you Nemuri. As you might have noticed, or not, there is an uneven number of students in both classes, meaning there is one group of three. That group of three will have to add either three pages to their paper or twelve slides to their PowerPoint to make up for the fact they have an extra member.”
Nemuri clicked to the next slide to reveal the first group before the classes could complain.
“Group one is Aoyama from class 1a and Kurorio from my class 1b! You will be doing The Fiber Hero, Best Jeanist!”
Aoyama turned towards Kurorio, giving him a small wave as Kurorio gave a thumbs up and smirk in response.
“Group two, Tokoyami and Kamakiri. The Wing Hero Hawks.”
Tokoyami crossed his arms and closed his eyes, content with the pro hero assigned.
“Group three is Mina from class 1a and Shiozaki from my class 1b! You have the pro hero Kamui Wood.”
Mina gave an overly enthusiastic wave towards Shiozaki as she gave a small one back.
“Group four, Asui and Rin. The Ninja Hero, Edgeshot.”
“Please call me Tsuyu.”
“Right.”
Tsuyu gave Rin a closed eye smile and wave.
“Group five, oh? This is our three person group. Group five is Iida from class 1a, shishida from my class 1b and Kendou from my class 1b! You have Ectoplasm.”
“It is a pleasure to be working with you two on this project! I think we should work very well together.”
“Please, the pleasure is all mine.”
“Class presidents working together! This gives us time to talk about more activities amongst classes, don’t you think?”
“Yes, I do believe so Kendou-san, this is the perfect opportunity!”
“Thank you for your enthusiasm Group five. Group six is Uraraka and Shoda. The Punching Hero, Death Arms.”
“Oh! I’m basing my super move off of some of Death Arms fighting techniques…”
“Wow! That’s like super cool Shoda-kun! I am learning some fighting techniques myself based off his moves!”
“I can teach you some more if you want… Once we finish?”
“Yeah!”
“Group seven is Ojiro from class 1a and Kaibara from my class 1b! You both have The Battle Hero, Gunhead!”
Ojiro gave a small wave to Kaibara who nodded in response.
“Group eight, Momo and Honenuki. The BMI hero, Fat Gum.”
Honenuki gave Momo a closed eye smile and wave while she smiled back.
“Group nine is Satou from class 1a and Bondo from class 1b! You have the pro hero, Cementoss!”
“I am looking forwards to working with you, Satou.” Bondos voice echoed.
“Yeah, same to you.”
“Group ten, Shouji and Fukidashi. The Shield Hero, Crust.”
They both nodded, with Fukidashi giving a cartoon wink.
“Group eleven is Jiro from class 1a and Komori from my class 1b! You two have my friend and colleague, The Erasing Hero, Eraserhead!”
Eraserhead gave the class a half grin and a “Good Luck” to the pair.
Komori gave Jiro a bored look while she gave a weary one in response.
“Group twelve, Sero and Tsuburaba. The Turbo Hero, Ingenium.”
Iida gave the pair a very enthusiastic thumbs up at the group choice.
“I cannot unfortunately give you two any information to aid the project, but I can offer my encouragement!”
“Yeah that’s fair.”
“Yeah man, don’t worry about it, we’ll kick butt at this assignment and not disappoint your bro.”
Tsuburaba gave Iida a thumbs up while Sero gave an okay symbol, acknowledging the rule set.
“Thank you Iida! We never thought to include that as a rule, but yes, no students can be asked information about pro heros they are related to to get information for the project. That means, no one from group twelve can ask Iida about information regarding Ingenium and no one from our group thirteen can ask Kurorio about information regarding The Space Hero, Thirteen. Now speaking of that, group thirteen will be Hagakure from class 1a and Tsunotori from my class 1b!”
“I can’t wait to work with you Tsunotori!”
“Yay! My japanese is very not good, I uh, can read English websites?”
“Group fourteen, Todoroki and Yanagi. The Dragon Hero, Ryukyu.”
Todoroki let out a small laugh that was poorly disguised with fake cough to which Yanagi raised an eyebrow.
“Sorry.”
“Group fifteen is Bakugou from class 1a and Tokage from my class 1b! You two have The Rabbit Hero, Mirko!”
“Ah shit man, I’m working with Bakugou? That’s such a drag.”
“I don’t want to work with you either, Lizard Brain, you damn extra.”
“Look me in the eye and call me that again, I dare you- I’ll kick your ass.”
“Tokage, please watch your language and both of you please try and work together for this assignment, even if you don’t want to. We paired you together for a reason, however if tension escalates, please contact Eraser or I and you can work solo, although we would prefer if that scenario did not occur.”
“Yes Vlad King-sensei and I'm sorry!”
“Whatever.”
“Group sixteen, Koda and Kodai. The Voice Hero, Present Mic.”
Kodai turned towards where Koda was sitting and signed, “Ironic?”
“I believe so. Also, our teachers might let us record me presenting our project so we do not have to in front of the class, I can ask later if you want.”
“Yes please. I am excited to work with you, Koji.”
“I am as well, Yui.”
Kodai gave a small smile and thumbs up in response before turning back towards their teachers, signaling an end to the conversation.
“Group seventeen is Midoriya from class 1a and Monoma from my class 1b! You two have The Pro Hero, Gang Orca!”
Monoma glanced over at Midoriya and let out a very audible sigh.
“Group eighteen, Kaminari and Awase. The Blood Hero, Vlad King.”
“What? I don’t get even an acknowledgment Eraser as at least your colleague, that’s cold.”
“Most of our colleagues are being assigned and you didn’t acknowledge them with such formalities.”
Kan scoffed and crossed his arms.
Kaminari turned over to Awase who looked up from his phone game for a moment, catching his partners’ eyes before looking back down not more than a few seconds later. Kaminari couldn’t make out the emotion, but did realize he was in for a long assignment.
“Last but not least, group nineteen will be Kirishima from class 1a and Tetsutetsu from class 1b. You two have The Chivalrous Hero, Crimson Riot.”
“That’s like my idol!”
“Yeah I know, bro! This’ll be very manly project so let's take names and kick some ass!”
“Hell yeah, bro!”
Midnight flipped the screen to a old gif of all might giving a thumbs up with the caption ‘You can do it’ before moving to the front of the class.
“Now that all groups have been assigned, I suggest that you exchange numbers and choose times to meetup! You have three weeks to complete this assignment and as mentioned earlier, I have sent out the rubric that you should print out to follow! This is so exciting since there hasn’t been a group assignment between both classes! Now since we still have another ten minutes of class, I recommend becoming acquainted with your new friends!”
Both classes cringed at how loud Kayama was, before clapping to signal their thanks to the three teachers for their presentation.
“Dismissed!”
Kaminari pulled out his phone the moment they were dismissed from their seats and opened the “Bakusquad” group chat he was in.

Kaminari felt his phone buzz again but he decided to wait until after class to check it. He took in a deep breath before exhaling as he walked over towards Awase who didn’t even look up from his phone.
“Hey I'm Kami-”
“Shh, give me a minute. Watch this.”
Awase grinned evily as he tapped a card in his phone game. He looked back up at Kaminari and held up three fingers, counting down as Monoma walked over to the pair.
“What the heck, Awase? I had the perfect strategy and cards, yet you won!”
“Not my fault that I got a rare and very strong card in my most recent pull.” Awase teased.
“Hmph, next time I will defeat you in order to reclaim the title of class 1b’s best Hearthstone player!”
“Dude I told you I didn't have that title, I'm third best, Tsuburaba is who you have to beat to be first my man. Anyways, Kendou is the second.”
Monoma looked off to the distance, “I'm going to kick Kendou’s ass.”
“Yeah, maybe digitally but she can kick yours literally.”
“Perhaps.”
“Excuse me but you're Monoma right? I'm Kaminari!”
“Yes, I am the famed Monoma of class 1b, so remember that, especially since you are working with one of my best friends, Kaminari Denki. While I would brag some more, I must go before Kendou catches me over here since she wants me to get to know my groupmate.”
“Don't be so dramatic, Monoma.”
“Dramatic? No? I am simply flaunting my image is all,” Monoma fake gasped before flicking Awase on the cheek and eventually walking away quickly as he caught Kendou's staring at him.
Kaminari turned towards Awase after watching Monoma return to his group. Awase was running a hand down his face in annoyance while using his other to send a text message that Kaminari could not read.
“So, as I was saying earlier, Hi I'm Kaminari Denki and I'm excited to work with you!” Kaminari said with a cheeky smile and wink.
Awase’s eyes darted away and he coughed, “Yeah, I know, I’m uh, Awase Yosetsu and I am looking forwards-”
The bell rang right as he was trying to finish his sentence and he swore before grabbing his things quickly.
“I have to run to heroics now, but uh, we could meet in the library tomorrow after school if you want? We have three weeks so we don't need to rush yet.”
Awase turned and ripped a piece of paper out of the notebook he was putting away. He took the pen he had stuck to rest on his ear and jotted down his number, signing his name underneath with a smiley face.
“Text me, I've got to go.”
Kaminari took the paper and was left dumbfounded as his partner basically bolting out the door to catch up with Monoma.
That was weird.

I would have given some advice, but Shiozaki brought vegan chocolate cinnamon cookies she made yesterday to our first project session :0 I'm sure it's fine tho, it was the end of class, you said he was playing some phone game which is why Monoma came over, maybe that's why he could have been annoyed, since Monoma can be a bit extreme

Kaminari sighed and ran a hand through his hair before spotting the piece of paper he was given earlier.
He reached over to grab it from his messy side table and folded it open.
“Text Me. (XXX) XXX-XXXX Awase Yosetsu :) “
If he were really annoyed, would have put the smiley face there?
Kaminari opened his phone again, clicking out of the group chat and typed in the number.

He rolled over on his side, neglecting the homework he had laid out in favor of looking at his Twitter feed while he waited for a reply.
Just when he was about to doze off for a quick nap, his phone buzzed, snapping him awake. He clicked open the message, not even bothering to see who it was from.

Nothing much, just finished up doing my homework and was going to play some video games. See you tomorrow!
Maybe this project wouldn't be so bad.
By the time Kaminari arrived at the library, Awase had not arrived yet so he grabbed a chair at the table near the door to wait.
During the time he waited, he managed to rent 2 books about Vlad King, find a subcommunity that only created memes about the hero and drink half of his tea which was growing cold.
Kaminari was about ready to pack up when Awase arrived, an hour after they planned.
He placed his laptop down on the table and Awase turned to Kaminari with an emotion of deep contemplation before he bowed.
“I-I'm sorry for being late, I was sent down to Recovery Girls during heroics to heal a broken arm and she refused to let me use my phone while I rested.”
“We can cancel if you want today! I did some research and got some books already but I know Recovery Girl can be a brutal healer.”
Awase shook his head, “Nah, I'm fine. Her healing tired me out but the nap I took helped me out.”
Kaminari gave a big smile and thumbs up to which Awase took as an invitation, sitting down next to his partner.
Awase gave a large closed eye smile, “Now let's start from the beginning.”
For the next week after their first meeting, the two ended up hanging out more for fun than for the project. They learned that both of them loved video games and when Awase found out that Kaminari had a switch, he was added to the originally exclusive class 1b switch group that met once a week for fun.
Kaminari learned that Awase ranked 10th in the entry exams, swore a lot, loved mobile games (plus spends way too much money on them) and that Tsuburaba did in fact have a dog on campus named “Sokka” who was a Shitzue.
Awase learned that Kaminari hates salted licorice with a burning passion, loves hamburgers, spends too much time researching current trends and liked collecting small objects like snow globes or gemstones.
They also learned that Tetsutetsu can and will eat food that should be left for Man vs Food if dared to when their group was invited to go out to eat by Kirishima's.
Awase also met Sero and Mina when Kaminari invited him to hang out with his friend group. He liked them both, even if Mina was a bit loud, but he was used to being around loud people because of Monoma. He refused to meet Bakugou since she he didn't scare Awase, Bakugou's personality made him a bit uncomfortable since he doesn't like being insulted.
Kaminari learned that Monoma, Tsuburaba and Tetsuteteu were Awase's closest friends although he also liked hanging out with Togake. He hung out with them minus Monoma who was out at the library with Midoriya during the switch night he was invited to.
By a week and a half into the project, they finished the basic PowerPoint and started looking up as many dirty secrets as they could on Vlad King with their remaining time.
“Dude, I may or may not have found the greatest thing- I think I found his Reddit and Tumblr.”
“Are you shitting me right now?”
Kaminari rolled over on the bed and handed his phone over to Awase who was chilling on the floor.

“We should fucking include it with a 'possibly a fan’ disclaimer but… I'm following it because if it is my teacher that is so funny!”
“You should send an anon asking what the homework was and if he changes the url or replies with the assignment it's him.”
“He'll kill me but alright.”
“Your url is 'GodKickedMyAssInLoveLive’, will he really think that's you?”
“Maybe Komori since she is very vocal about her idol love. Speaking of which did you see that photo Jiro posted on Snapchat where Komori gave her a idol makeover?”
Kaminari took his phone back from Awase's outstretched hand and hummed with annoyance.
“I would have if she didn't block me on snap.”
“She blocked you?”
“I blocked her back so we are even now.”
“That's fair.”
Kaminari stood up and moved to sit next to Awase while he was adding the Tumblr slide into their presentation.
Kaminari's smile fell from his face as he stared, waiting a few minutes before breaking the silence.
“After this, do you think we would still hang out like this?”
Awase stopped typing and looked at Kaminari with a raised eyebrow, “What do you mean?”
“I like you man, like you're so cool and stuff. I just don't want this to end once we have to present it to the class. I like the video games, I like just chilling in each other's rooms talking- I just think you're a good guy, you know?”
Awase closed his eyes and leaned back so he was resting against the bed frame.
“No Kaminari, we can still remain friends after this. I'm not pretending to like you just to do a project.”
He turned to face Kaminari and smiled, “You're fucking cool man and while maybe this whole studying stuff might end we can still hang out whenever we both want to.”
Awase opened his arms, signalling that Kaminari could give him a hug if he wanted to which the blonde graciously accepted. They stayed like that for a few moments before Kaminari pulled away, a forced smile on his face.
“Thank you, Awase,” Kaminari replied, hiding his disappointment.
The presentation was finished and emailed to Midnight without any issues. The rest of their new free time included using the presentation as an excuse to go off campus even if it were done, just for fun. Awase was very good at DDR although not good enough to beat Kaminari at it when they went to an arcade instead of a fast food restaurant like they wrote on the sign out sheet. Kaminari had learned every class 1b member by name and even learned how to sign hello to Yui by the end of the third week.
On the day of their presentation they both walked into the computer lab with smiles on their faces as they talked about trivial things.
They took their places together between Tetsutetsu's group and Tsuburaba's. Kaminari waved to Sero and he replied by ruffling Kaminari’s hair while he hissed with annoyance as Awase laughed along.
They watched the other groups come in, all groups sitting with their partners, Bakugou and Tokage being the only exception, sitting as far apart as the room allowed.
Kaminari took out his phone as he felt it ring, waving Seros hand away as he checked.

Kaminari put his phone away as Sero patted him sympathetically on the shoulder before moving to sit down in his seat.
It was another few minutes before Midnight burst through the doors followed by Eraserhead and Vlad King. Kaminari didn’t look up from his lap at that, Awase giving him a confused glance before turning his attention up front.
“Alright everyone! Who's excited to get this show on the road?”
Both classes replied with a mostly collective groan with a few clapping eagerly in response.
“I love the enthusiasm! Now we will be presenting in reverse alphabetical order so Kirishima and Tetsutetsu? You both will be up first!”
The presentation went off super smoothly with well placed jokes and obscure facts about their pro hero that ended with a mini trivia game where they asked the class to guess which of three options was a catch phrase of Crimson Riot. Iida won the mini trivia game and was given a small Crimson Riot keychain that they ordered from Amazon as a prize.
Up next was Izuku and Monoma who did a five minute quirk analysis about Gang Orca plus his most well known sidekicks. They had to be cut short at the eight minute mark to their dismay in order to allow for as many groups as possible to go.
“Awase and Kaminari, you two are up next! Hopefully I'll get to learn some things about my fellow colleague that I didn't know beforehand!” Kayama announced with a wink.
“Midnight, please, do not make this as any more awkward as it's going to be.”
“Aww, alright.”
Awase gave Kaminari a look of encouragement as he squeezed his partners hand once before letting go as they walked up together to present while Kaminari sported a huge blush on his cheeks.
The presentation went smoothly, the only break in the presentation being when Sekijiro stepped out of the room when the page exposing his old MySpace, Reddit and Tumblr appeared, even though it was marked as still a ‘rumor according to social media sources’. Both classes found it hilarious and some from class 1b even took out their phones to take a photo before putting them away as Eraserhead glared at the classes.
Awase went over their quirk analysis about Vlad King and the reason why he became a hero while Kaminari covered his life.
The ending slide that showed all of Vlad King’s dogs was the biggest hit of the presentation. Sekijiro stepped back in the room when he heard the clapping, remarking that “the only dog on campus is Hound Dog” while looking Tsuburaba directly in the eye in order to get the classes to stop asking him if he had his dogs on campus.
Koda and Kodai’s group went next translating a video project they made into sign while subtitles appeared on the screen with instrumental music Present Mic wrote played in the background.
Bakugou and Tokage both managed to talk about Mirko without killing eachother, stating that they loved her ideology about working on her own to get stuff done.
Todoroki and Yanagi talked about rumors surrounding the relationship that Ryukyu was in, about how she deserves the top ten spot she had because of how strong she was and he recent donations to museums throughout Japan.
Hagakure presented most of her and Tsunotori’s presentation while Tsunotori gave translations for some English articles plus tabloids about the hero. Kurorio was very proud of the two and gave both a high five as a result since he was content with how they presented their information about his cousin.
Sero and Tsubaraba talked about Ingenium’s run in with Stain, rumors about him training a vigilante before the attack and even showed photos of baby Iida Tenya with his older brother from old charity events. They both added in some well placed puns that got Iida’s approval.
Jiro and Komori both presented their presentation about Eraserhead with the disclaimer that not all information would be accurate since the teacher had managed to avoid the media mostly before the events of the summer. Aizawa was very happy the two mentioned how he spends his free time volunteering at a cat rescue shelter near the school which was the only piece of information he said he would confirm was right, even if more were.
Shouji and Fukidashi kept their presentation concise but with enough information to make the class understand Crust. Fukidashi added in sound effects to make the presentation more exciting and drew a photo of the pro hero for their final slide. Afterwards Honenuki added a few random facts about the hero since he had interned under him.
Sato made a cake shaped like Cementoss for their presentation for the classes, but the students were not allowed to eat it until after everyone presented. Bondo made a little statue of the hero as their presentation ended with a mini trivia section, much like Kirishima and Tetsutetsu’s project had.
Momo and Honenuki gave a very detailed explanation on how Fat Gum’s quirk worked, Momo explaining how similar it was to hers and the side effects that a quirk that used body fat had on the body. They even linked to Fat Gum’s recipe blog at the end of it called “Food for Heroes in Training and their Families.”
Ojiro and Kaibara ended their presentation by teaching the class how to perform some of Gunhead’s moves to their teachers displeasure, Uraraka helping out in making sure people had correct forms.
Uraraka and Shoda ended on a similar note as the group before, demonstrating a few of Death Arms techniques on each other until Uraraka accidentally floated Shoda which marked an end to their presentation.
Iida, Shishida and Kendou created a presentation that only showed pictures to accompany the essay they wrote on Ectoplasm. To make the three people have a chance to speak, they alternated paragraphs until they were finished to a huge round of applause from both classes.
Asui and Rin give blunt explanations on their hero Edgeshot, talking about how he became a hero because he was from a old line of pro heros, how he used to act in Ninja movies for fun to make kids happy and even about the papercraft exhibit he inspired at a local art gallery.
Mina and Shiozaki were very easy-going and intelligent on their topic. Shiozaki talked about the dangers of overusing a plant based quirk such as dehydration and sunburns due to the necessity of the sun to power their quirks. They both equally shared the history and life information equally, with Mina taking the last point to talk about how Kamui Wood was starting community gardens in throughout cities in Japan.
Tokoyami was the one who dominated the presentation while he bounced happily on his feet with a content expression. Kamakiri focused on the influence Hawks had on pop culture due to his popularity, youth and good looks. Both young heros despite being serious through the entire presentation lost their composure when Dark Shadow showed up on the last slide and yelled “That's all folks!”
The last group, Aoyama and Kurorio was a beautiful disaster. Aoyama gave a mini lesson on why how jean material worked best for Best Jeanists’ fiber quirk, even getting approval to wear jeans during the presentation to fit the theme. Kurorio wore a jean jacket to fit their jean theme and focused on the history plus present day of the hero with a few snarky comments throughout.
Both classes gave a loud standing ovation when the last group finished, happy that the projects finally were over, yelling until they were quieted down by Kayama.
Kaminari couldn't help feeling a bit sad that he wouldn't have the project as an excuse to spend time with Awase, but he knew they would keep hanging out. Although it was hard to justify going off campus with a ‘just because’ reason.
He found himself gripping Sero’s hand for comfort as the two watched Awase walk out of the class after a simple goodbye after their dismissal.
“Sorry for bringing it up, I should have brought it up after class.”
Kaminari let go of his friends’ hand and shrugged, “I have a plan now, so thank you for bringing it up.”
Two hours after classes ended, Kaminari knocked on Awase’s door, running on both anxiety and adrenaline.
Awase answered the door almost immediately, expecting Kaminari but was worried about his friend as he had texted a very blunt “We need to talk. I’m coming over.”
“Kaminari what’s-“
“Not here, uh,” he looked down the hallway, making sure no one was coming, “Can I come inside?”
Awase nodded and held the door open for him, Kaminari giving a small nod, not looking at Awase, before passing inside.
Awase sat on his bed and patted a spot next to him, inviting Kaminari to sit down which he accepted.
Kaminari placed his hands on his lap and concentrated on them, “I like you.”
Awase looked at him with confusion, “Yeah you made that clear last week, you said you liked me remember? And I said that after this we would remain friends-“
Awase stopped himself as the realization hit him, eyes widening and mouth gaping, Oh Shit.
He cleared his throat and regained his composure, “I uh, shit, uh, so is that what you wanted to talk about?”
Kaminari gave a small nod, turning his head away from his friends stare.
Awase sat up straight, closing his eyes as a small blush brushed his cheeks, taking a moment to think about what he wanted to say.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought this up- I’m going to go, this was a stupid idea-“
Kaminari was starting to stand up before Awase grabbed his arm, Kaminari staring back at him with a very blank expression.
“I uh, would you like to go out sometime? When we get permission to leave campus that is. Shit. I’m not very good with words...“
“You don't have to do this if you don't want-”
“But I want to! I'm just shocked because I-I like you too, you stole my thunder. I had this whole plan ready to ask you out over the weekend, but- You know what, just read this.”
Awase let go of Kaminari's arm to unlock his phone and handed it up to him.
His eyes widened, Awase’s phone was open on a chat called “Awase's Gay Panic.”
He sat back down next to Awase and started scrolling slowly.

The rest of the chat consisted of Awase talking about his plan to ask Kaminari to a museum he found that is about trends and pop culture throughout the decades over the weekend. His friends approved of it and even offered to help research quick restaurants in the area and write the request he needed to submit to leave campus.
Kaminari clicked off the phone and placed it next to him, a hand over his mouth in surprise.
“I, uh, I’ll ask this again. Would you like to go out sometime?”
Kaminari grabbed Awase’s hand in his own and smiled brightly, “I would love to, Awase.”
