    Summary

“It’s just water,” is Satoru’s retort, uncreative but serviceable. Since Suguru is a ready audience for annoyances if they’re Satoru-shaped. “You act like it’s going to melt me or something.”

Suguru wants to say, I don’t want to see you shivering, but he just flicks Satoru's knuckles instead, the umbrella dipping dangerously as if to threaten collapse and soak them both. “Your hair’s doing that thing when it’s wet, like you stuck your finger in an outlet,” and the regret is instantaneous. Because now all he can picture is reaching out to smooth it down, or—more accurately—zapping himself so he could say it hurt, just to see whether Satoru would try to kiss it better.

aka Suguru is absolutely whipped and has been for 63 months and 17 days and counting. So has Satoru. They sidestep this fact mutually.

    Summary

"Suicide is the only truly serious philosophical question. Everything else is mere decoration."

Satoru stared at him in silence, chewing over the statement rather than reflecting on it. To him, it sounded less profound than the other man's calm tone suggested.

"Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus." He added, when silence lingered too long. His gaze, locked onto the doctor's crystalline eyes, never wavered again. From his hospital bed, he could still taste the sterile stiffness of the sheets — yet not once did he complain. Not even in a whisper.

Satoru shrugged. "I'm afraid I'm not too close to that line of thought."

"Say, doc," he interrupted softly, almost immediately. "Have you ever thought about death?"

    ---

Or, Satoru, an emergency room doctor, is faced with a patient—Suguru, who had attempted to take his own life. Something stirs in his chest, a feeling he can’t quite name.

    Summary

    Something is wrong.
    Something is—

“Shoko,” Suguru’s voice is small. He’s unable to hide the quiver behind his words, and spit pools inside his mouth. “Where’s Satoru?”

Despite himself, he slowly turns his head so that he’s gazing down at Shoko, and the sight of her blank, unimpressed expression causes dread so severe to churn his insides that he feels dizzy.

    Her mouth opens.

    “Who?”

    Wrong.

Waking up to a world free of curses, Suguru should have everything he's ever wanted— except there's the nagging absence of his best friend, Satoru.

    Summary

Satoru sighed, staring up at the ceiling, thinking how crazy it was that the flowers that were killing him also smelled like the man he loved.

They were meant to find each other in every lifetime— but in this one, love nearly kills Satoru.

A reincarnation hanahaki AU about friendship turned devotion, and the pain of love blooming alone.

    Summary

Satoru is a Grim Reaper. He’s good at his job. He’s efficient, professional (mostly), and just the right amount of charming.

But when he arrives at a hospital to collect his next soul, he finds a problem. Geto Suguru, very much alive, sitting up in bed, staring straight at him.

“Hey,” Suguru says, blinking. “You lost?”

Satoru, who has never been seen by a living human before, panics. He drops his scythe. Suguru picks it up. The hospital fire alarm goes off (probably unrelated).

And somehow, instead of taking Suguru’s soul, Satoru ends up…dating him.
