Summary
What happens when the villainous Joker decides they want a sidekick of their own? Nothing good I expect.
This is a retelling of the episode "the apprentice" from The Batman cartoon
(Not the best name to give a cartoon to clearly set it apart from the other batman cartoons, I know, so as a refresher, it's the one with the weird and often controversial barefoot monkey-man with dreadlocks version of the joker.)Where instead of the one off male character "prank", the sidekick gets replaced with a more permanent character who is that universes incarnation of The Creeper.
(Also for those who aren't aware, The Creeper, secret identity ace reporter Jack Ryder is an obscure super hero made by Steve Ditko, who is probably best remembered for their appearance in the Batman The Animated Series episode titled Beware The Creeper)
Taking this chance with moving some old fanfics from deviantart to AO3 to make some updates and general edits to the stories to make them more readable.
Although this is the earliest one I had saved, so even with these edits.... yeah it's still not exactly spectacular
But if you're a fan of the any of the themes involved, it's probably still worth a read.Series
