   Summary

   The year is 2038. Androids developed by The Institute have been on the market for a couple years now and they have found their place in the lives and homes of millions of people in New York. Despite that, the atmosphere of uncertainty envelops the city, as humans feel robbed of their privileges, jobs, and safety.

   Magnus Bane is a police detective who is assigned the investigation of deviant Androids assaulting and murdering people all over the city. However, he is also assigned a new partner - a highly developed Android, Alec, programmed to solve the investigation, no matter what. The problem is, Magnus hates Androids. And with Alec's approach, is he the best one out there to make the young detective believe that humans may not be the only form of intelligent life on earth?
