The Killing Grounds

Summary:

The Alliance to Restore the Republic has faced its crossroads at Hoth, and it has survived. The war, though, is far from over. Blood has been drawn, and the Galactic Civil War has entered its third year...

Somewhere, in deep space, the Rebel Fleet is recovering from the Battle of Hoth, while the commander of the fleet, Admiral Mitth’raw’nuruodo, plans a campaign that will bring the Galactic Empire to its knees. Meanwhile, a threat beyond compare draws closer and closer in the Unknown Regions...

In the Core Worlds, Grand Admiral Octavian Grant is given the unenviable task of hunting the traitorous Chiss admiral, and is preparing an offensive that he hopes will put Thrawn on the back foot. But his mission is hamstrung from the beginning by politics and timetables, forcing him to attack before he is prepared to. Even he knows that Thrawn will be ready for him, and both commanders are preparing for the biggest battle of their lifetimes...

Friendships will be forged and destroyed, lovers will come to one another in the night, the established order will be upended, and men will give their lives and souls to this inferno of war and love.

This is a finished novel.

Chapter Text

All rights to the Star Wars intellectual properties and characters are owned by Lucasfilm, and no infringement is intended. This is a work of fan fiction, written by a passionate fan.

This piece of fiction takes place in a timeline alternate to that of the new Canon, and to that of the old pre-Disney Legends. However, this timeline draws nearly all inspiration from Legends, and attempts to faithfully recreate the spirit of Legends.

DEDICATION

To every person who's only friends were found between the covers of a novel.

And to my father. You taught me to write.

AN INVITATION TO CRITIQUE

This novel is somewhat finished! To returning readers that's probably something of a shock!

I was so lucky and blessed to receive so many wonderful comments for Crossroads, and I say to all of you returning readers 'Thank you'; you're all a strange lot, but you're also the best.

Now, more than ever, I appreciate any and all commentary and criticism. Writing a novel is not easy, not even fan fiction, and a sequel is even harder. Even if it's an inane comment about how my prose sucks, I'd like to hear it. (I realize that I'm opening myself up to a world of hurt by doing so, but if there's a comment that helps the novel, then I truly want to hear it.)
