Chapter Text
That poor door .
Bakugou Katsuki was extremely concerned about his soulmate. What door? What did they do to the door?
This line on the blonde teens skin is one of hundreds of lines that have donned his pale skin. Every day at 8:30 p.m. one line Katsuki’s soulmate said during the past 24 hours shows up somewhere on his body. Because of this, Katsuki goes to his room for bed early. He always locates the line, puts on very fancy concealer meant for pro heros and hides the words.
Due to his line always being hidden, only Deku, Katsuki and his parents know he has a soulmate. Katsuki is absolutely fine with people believing he has no soulmate, it makes life so much simpler. People don’t expect him to search for love, so him training hard to be the number one pro hero is clearly the only goal he needs.
Not that he doesn't enjoy his marks though, he finds some to be quite amusing. Once, about six years ago, Katsuki was 9 and it showed up on his inner arm, it said More cockporn, daddy! He laughed so hard that his mom had to come and check on him. When she saw the line as well, she nearly collapsed from laughing too hard. The family decided to take a photo of it to save for years to come. Even looking back now it puts a smile on his face.
It was a few days before the entrance exam for UA and Katsuki couldn’t be more excited. Apparently his soulmate was not showing the same sentiments as Katsuki. The teen knew this because of the fact it said I'm so going to fail the UA exam on his knee.
You know, Katsuki sometimes wonders what it says on his soulmates body. It’s probably swear words most of the time. Well, they might as well get used to Katsuki’s foul mouth.
Before falling asleep, Katsuki wrote down the location of the words so he could cover them up tomorrow morning.
The day of the entrance exam came and Katsuki swore that he may just kill Deku, who not only had an awkward conversation with a girl because a) he is a boy in puberty and b) he is gay and never really hung out with girls or paid them any mind so he has no fucking clue what to do right now, he had the audasity to try and associate with the blonde after that screwup.
Katsuki’s steps were even and calculated as he walked up into the presentation hall to listen to Present Mic talk. The guy was way too energetic and needed to take it down a notch, it was like listening to 5-year-old Izuku stuffed full of sugar and given a reason to talk about All Might. At one point a kid behind the two called out attention to Izuku’s mumbling. Now, Katsuki may not be close with Deku, but he sure as hell won’t let anyone else hurt the nerd. He had half a mind to turn around and scold four-eyes.
“K-k-kacchan, it’s fine. I just need to stop.” Deku said as Katsuki actually did start to turn to scold the jerk.
Katsuki softly scoffed, “You can’t help it. He has no right to point you out to the whole hall.”
They didn’t speak until Deku tried to explain what the sorting system was. Katsuki stopped him because he didn’t need to have someone explain something he already knew.
All voices turned off as soon as the test started. Only the flap of pages being turned and the scratch of pencils could be heard. For others, it may be terrifying to be in such a large room of people and have it be so quiet, but Katsuki found it calming.
As time passed minute by minute, Katsuki answered the questions quickly, not wasting time doubting himself. They had 2 hours to answer 100 questions, some free response, some multiple choice. The blonde finished 20 minutes early, fairly pleased with his answers.
When time was up and the books were collected, Present Mic gave a rundown on how the next part of the test was going to work. It looked simple enough, kill lots of the 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s, and don’t get crushed by the big one.
The students all got a card that had their name, and where they were fighting.
At the entrance to the fighting grounds, Katsuki kept to himself. He didn’t say anything to his competitors since that would just be a distraction from victory. No one really had time to start a conversation since not 10 seconds after they all arrived they heard the countdown to when the doors would open and the next part of the test would begin.
“ THREE! TWO! ONE!” Katsuki got in a running position, ready to bolt into the fray as soon as the doors opened. “GO GO GO! ”
Fast as a bolt of lighting Katsuki entered the battle. A few moments later he took out 2 of the 3 pointer robots. He made sure to always be moving, pushing himself so he could sweat more, and therefore, blow up more mechanical enemies. Honestly, it was not even a “test” to Katsuki, it was just a way to show how strong he was, how worthy he was to become the top hero.
All around him he heard the sound of metal moving, crunching, creaking, he heard the other teens counting their points. Katsuki had stopped counting after he reached 100 points. He heard the 5 minute call and smiled, this was just too simple. That's when he heard the sound of a very large robot. People were screaming and rushing past him as he faced the zero-pointer.
“That’s as fucking tall as my parents model studio.” mumbled Katsuki to himself.
Next to him, a teen with black hair raced past him and towards the giant robot. The guy turned into what looked like flesh colored rock and seemed to be staring down the robot.
Katsuki couldn’t care less about what might happen to that idiot, but for some reason he felt he needed to act the closer the robots feet got to the kid. The roller steadily got closer and closer and was nearly upon the kid when Katsuki acted.
The blonde used his explosions to quickly propel himself to the other kid. When he reached the kid he has now dubbed “Rocky”, Katsuki grabbed the kid securely around his midsection and used his free arm to blast them back as far as he could. In his grip, he felt the kid harden, and it hurt.
When they finally got away Katsuki set the kid down and shouted, “What the hell is wrong with you? Do you plan on dying before you get into U.A?”
Rocky’s face was red as he tried to stammer out an answer, but before he could, Katsuki was gone.
“ONE MINUTE LEFT! ” called Present Mics voice from the speakers. Katsuki took a breath and scanned his surroundings for any robots. Between the 0-pointers legs was a 3-point robot. No one seemed to want to face the huge piece of metal, but to Katsuki it was the perfect target.
Not wanting to draw attention to himself, Katsuki ran towards the machine, someone called “look out’ at him. He was near the 0-pointer when it noticed him. The machine turned it’s body so it could aim and Katsuki, but he just huffed and jumped up on the roller and ran just fast enough to stay on.
As expected, the robot brought his fist down to try and smash Katsuki, but right before it hit him Katsuki jumped off. Unable to stop, the robot smashed its own roller and disabled it. Katsuki’s cackle added to the concophony around him.
Quickly he disposed of the three-pointer just as the test ended. All remaining robots were shut down, including the zero pointer.
Katsuki strutted back to the mass of kids and stood by waiting for further instruction.
“Hey man!” a kid called behind him. Katsuki turned around to see that it was Rocky. “I just wanted to say thanks for saving me. I’m-”
Rolling his eyes, Katsuki interrupted the other, “I don’t care. And I only saved you because I don’t want to lose any competition, even the stupid ones. You’ve got some guts. Can’t wait to defeat you later.” With that, Katsuki walked away, leaving a perplexed Kirishima in his wake.
“Welcome, Young Bakugou, to Yuuei.” announced All Might to a very pleased Katsuki.
I passed appeared on Katsuki’s chest an hour later
