This world was filled with soulmates. Couples that would love each other for an eternity and Namjoon have always wanted one himself. Someone he could love and that would love him back just as much.
Everyday he got to see his parents being so happy to have the others company. Sometimes they even got so caught up in their own world that Namjoon felt a little bit left out. But the boy never thought it was a bad thing because all he could see was their love for each other.
His parents always supported him and told him that no matter what soulmate he would have in the future, girl or boy, they would support him. Namjoon couldn’t have been more excited to turn sixteen and have the white ink of his soulmate’s name appear somewhere on his body.
When the day had finally come he couldn’t have been more confused. Not only did one name appear but six. Six names in a row starting from the center of his chest and ending at his stomach.

Sure enough, it was the famous white ink of a soulmate but it wasn’t just one this time. It was six soulmates. All boys.
Namjoon felt his eyes tear up. He didn’t mind this outcome at all in fact he felt happy to have more than one person to love. Yet he couldn’t help the feelings bubbling up. Confusion. Wonder. Fright.
He ran downstairs into his parents room with these emotions in hope that they would reassure him that it would be okay. Like always. But what he was met with was shock and anger.
‘Namjoon-ah, you can never speak of this! Do you understand?’ His dad took him by the shoulders and stared into his eyes. ‘Don’t show that ink to anyone.’ He spat with hatred.
After that day Namjoon would indeed never speak of soulmates again.
