Bucky’s pupils are blown wide when Steve looks back at him, their black luminous and downright eerie surrounded by a ring of red. Steve loves it, hoards these moments where Bucky’s blatant in how non-human he is. Steve’s the only one who gets to see this. Even the other Avengers get grey-blue eyes, blunt teeth, and gloved hands that hide the corpse-chill of Bucky’s skin.
