      I'm glad you like it! And I'm really glad we got the extension, because I wanted to do something with Jenova but this idea didn't hit me until after the original deadline.

         Okay, I have managed to compose myself. Whew.

         First, I love the -feel- of this, the coldness, the dampness; I can hear the howling, whipping wind. I can imagine that she would feel almost worm like, clammy. Her face is horrible in the best way possible, the her pose is ominous and alive; but my favorite part about her is her upper appendages. There is this grotesqueness, and while feeling very organic feels very, very wrong.

         And Sephiroth, one in the same. The bit of static between is brilliant, and everything about this is spectacular. Again, your lighting, colors, perspective... it is all brilliant.

         Thank you so much, I am beyond honored.

         IIRC her trading card details in the Mobius game looks kind of like that, so Remake will be an interesting time for her character design, I think!

   Oi yoi yoi yoi yoi! That kind of shocked me as I scrolled down and it CHANGED. Fantastic! Beautiful but frightening! Is it weird to say that I rather like this rendering of Jenova better than the usual ones I've seen of her as half a woman? Because I do. You've done a fantastic job with Sephiroth, too. He's his usual perfect self, but to me, when the picture changes, its like the monster is what is inside Sephiroth, and its phasing in and out, like he can't control it, letting what's going on inside him slip out for all to see. And Jenova is trying to disguise herself and pass herself off as something acceptable but can't keep that form for long. The two are one. I love it!

      Thank you! Admittedly the pretty-lady version of Jenova is easier to draw, but her less humanoid incarnations feel truer to what she is, and I really wanted to give that a try.

    I just love something about the idea of "Sephiroth" fading away to become Jenova. Your art is so beautiful and chilling!

       Thank you! The "Sephiroth" you chase being an illusion is noooot something I picked up on when I first played the game as a kiddo but boy is it a fascinating concept to play with.

    I read somewhere (deleted dialog?) that the original plan was that as you were chasing Jenova-Sephiroth, it would leave parts of itself behind for you to fight - so first a hand, then a knee, then an arm, etc until you got to the northern crater and fought the heart bc that was the only piece that was left. I guess having the pieces be specific body parts was deemed too creepy in the end XD. Anyway this is really cool, I love the tentacles on the bottom and how much weight they have.

       Huh! Cloud does refer to the first Jenova you fight as "the arm of Jenova" but I guess the rest of it got scrapped. That would've been kind of neat though - less like fighting Jenova again and again and more like systematically destroying it.

       Anyway, thanks! I was pretty proud of those tentacles.
