    Summary

The man sighs heavily. "I guess you're right." He turns back to Aiden, bright smile back in place. "My apologies, dear witcher, it seems I've forgotten my manners." He offers Aiden his hand to shake with a flourish. "I am the bard Jaskier, graduate of Oxenfurt and Master of the Seven Liberal Arts.

    What.

Aiden forces himself to take his hand in a firm shake despite the shock that's numbing his limbs. "Aiden," he says, flashing his teeth in a smile. "You're the Toss a Coin bard, right?" Aiden says, like Lambert didn't spend his whole winter bullying Geralt into agreeing to a late spring meet-up and then ditched Aiden for it specifically for the chance that the bard standing in front of Aiden right now would be there.

Sweet Melitele, Lambert is going to hate him when they meet back up next week. This is amazing.

Or: Aiden meets Jaskier when he least expect it. He promptly decides that if anything ever happened to him, he would kill everyone in this town and then himself. Which would be a shame, considering that this strange town has been so unexpectedly kind to him.

    Summary

Max has to be strong for them all, after all - she's the reason the transgenics escaped, she's the reason they're dying. But her mind is fragile, broken down over years of been hunted, searching for family that doesn't want to be found, of been so alone that she overlooks the manipulation. Until Alec, every time she turns around he's right there, waiting for her to come to her own realizations.

“I thought Logan was going to be my fairy tale ending, now I'm finding out he wasn't the man I thought he was. I thought love was this big thing, full of heightened emotions, where you're on the top of the world one moment and the next you're plummeting, at rock bottom is the worst kinda feeling but when everything is workin’ out it's the best feeling. Now I think I was wrong, I was just a tool, a broken tool that he fixed to his liking to use me how he saw fit. Love shouldn't make you feel like your world will end if you say or do the wrong thing, love shouldn't make you feel worthless and broken. It was never love, not for him, it was just convenience. For me, it was everything. And now I don't know if there's enough pieces left of me for anyone to ever love.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

    ch 33
Follows the broad strokes of the canon plot, but Max realizes Logan is manipulating and using her and decided to stop trying to be with him. He doesn’t take it well. She becomes closer, more genuine friends with Alec sooner than canon, and starting around ch 26 they start a tentative romance. Max feels burned from Logan’s betrayal of trust and Alec is content to let her set the pace. Preceding that, they often find themselves in sync and communicating wordlessly on jobs. So much so that Original Cindy starts giving them sideyes before they get together.
Most recent episode plot- Alec arrested for Ben’s crimes but exonerated. Transgenic existence confirmed to the public and public vilification begins. Joshua is missing Annie and Alec suggests moving him to Terminal City so he can be with other transgenics and go outside, but they get chased through the sewers before that happens and Ames White kills Annie. Also, Lydecker is still alive in this- he only faked his death

    Jon had jinxed it.

In the middle of the kriffing night, he had shot awake with the intense urge to go, the Force apparently having decided he was rested enough. He was up and in the cockpit of his small ship before he even registered moving.

    ch 8
Jon is Called to Korda VI by the force, and right before he gets there he answers a comm that turns out to be Initiate Kenobi (10-12yrs) asking him to save a man do in red and black armor and prevent a Dark future. Obie is at his wit’s end trying to get anyone to take his vision seriously after weeks of being told to “be in the present.” Jon thanks him for the info (the force usually gives him no details lol) and promises to take care of it. Obi is relieved and the vision stops reoccurring, but then he’s nervous that he caused the death he was trying to prevent by interfering, so he and Quinn sneak out to Dex’s and ask him to poke around and see if he hears anything about a Jedi saving a mando. Dex is dubious but agrees.
Meanwhile Jon lands on Korda VI and immediately sprints into a battle between two mando factions. He searches the battlefield for the armor Obi told him to look for, cutting down Death Watch as he goes. The more Haat’ade are startled by his appearance, but fight with him as an ally once the see he’s helping them. Jon does some badass acrobatics, jumping on top of jet-packing DW to get to Jaster in time, as he’s about to be blasted by a tank. Jon lands in the tank, slicing off the turrets, and pushes Jaster out of the way when it explodes. Unfortunately Jon is caught partly by the explosion and injured. When the force prods that he’s not done yet, Jon heals an unconscious Jaster’s injuries, which are severe. Once Jaster is out of danger, Jon can feel himself about to pass out. The rest of the Haat finally reach them, overjoyed to find Jaster alive and mostly healed. They insist on owing Jon a debt, though he tries to refuse, and carry him back to their ship for medical care. Mij is only able to get Jon to agree to bacta bandages (he wants to put him in a tank), and Jon then uses the force to sneak back to his own ship before they realize he’s gone. Jon heads to Jedha to regroup and heal his force exhaustion.
Meanwhile, the mandos are in a tizzy about Jon escaping. Jaster is bummed that he didn’t get to pelt Jon with questions or discharge his honor debt. The other mandos are also concerned about their leader’s debt going unpaid, and passing around videos of Jon being a badass. Jango (~14) is extremely relieved to have his dad back alive after almost losing him and finally allows him to say the adoption vow. Silas clues Jaster in that he can use his honor as an excuse with the clans to hunt Jon down and get his questions answered, which Jaster excitedly does. They also put out an apb on Jon on mando channels, which turns into Mandos trying to hunt down any Jedi they see for info on Jon. Unfortunately translation errors and cultural misunderstandings lead the Jedi to thinking the Mandos are hunting-to-kill all Jedi, not just investigating.
Feemor is taking an infant he picked up back to the temple and is on a planet resupplying. The locals are hostile and prejudiced against Jedi and some dock workers blow up his ship and then chase him thru town. Feemor literally runs into a Mando who helps him hide. After the locals are gone Feemor demands the Mando remove his helmet before Feemor will talk with him. Surprisingly he does, and introduces himself as Kal Skirata. Feemor is surprised to not sense danger from Kal now that Kal has his helmet off. The baby, hidden in Fee’s robes until now, makes its presence known and Kal’s emotions turn gooey.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    ch 61
Previously- Post-Episode VI Obi wakes up in his child body on Melidaan right before they rescue Tahl. He has all his past knowledge but the hormones/mental development of his age and has to rebuild muscle memory. He uses his knowledge to find her sooner and she only looses sight in one eye. Obi still stays behind, but doesn’t draw his saber on Jinn. Jinn still sees it as a betrayal and tells the council Obi left the Order. Tahl returns for Obi on Melidaan instead of Jinn 3 months after Obi was left. Obi has established peace and Cerasi is alive, but it’s a lot more fragile without a martyr. He advises a continuing Jedi presence on the planet to help stabilize the new democracy, but the council ignores his warnings since Melidaan isn’t a republic world. After returning to the temple, Dooku takes Obi as his padawan, despite Yoda’s disapproval. Obi becomes very close with him and Sifo-Dyas and eventually forms a padawan bond with Syfo as well. Dooku tells Obi about the Galidraan mission and Obi uses a supposed academic interest in Mandos to raise concerns about the veracity of the report. Dooku believes him enough to investigate before confronting them. Obi gets a copy of their contract from Myles and the governor’s deception is revealed and tragedy averted. Dooku is shaken by what almost happened.
A year later, Cerasi calls Obi because the peace is broken and Elders are attacking the Young again. Since the Jedi can’t help them, Obi contacts Jango and convinces him to come pick up the 256 children who want to escape the war. Jango is skeptical but Myles has vouched for Obi so he agrees. There is also a force-sensitive infant among the Young that the Jedi take back to the temple, and Obi gets embarrassing pictures of Yan holding her. Before they leave Melidaan, Kal Skirata offers to adopt Obi. Myles had sung his praises, but is only a few years older than Obi and not ready to adopt anyone. Kal is Myles’ dad. Dooku allows us because Obi has been going by the name Ben Young and “there’s no Ben Young in the Jedi Order.” Obi’s name outs him as force-sensitive in the outer rim, so that’s his main alias. His actual name has the fanon “no one of no clan” meaning and is technically a title not a name. Kal sends him beskar alloy to make his lightsaber casing, and actual vambraces for passing his Verdgoten later.
Recently: Obi gave Dooku a 100+ page research document to support his usual arguments with the Council (Dooku gets dismissed as just being contrary to spite his former master). It details how various laws and reforms after the Ruusan Reformation have led to the current Order being less than 5% of the population it had before the Reformation, and how the continued trend will lead to its eventual extinction. Dooku feels vindicated, and believes that a revolution or schism in the Order is imminent, once the info gets out. As such, he leaves for Serenno to finally take care of his corrupt brother so that his faction of Jedi will have political and financial backing if they need it. When he arrives Jenza confides that she thinks the Duke is planning to have her killed. Meanwhile at the temple Sifo has a vision that leaves him incapacitated in the Halls when Obi gets a call from Myles. Some Mandos ranged too far while chasing slavers out of their space. They found a Jedi youngling on Rattack and her master is also captured. Obi has just had a vision about rescuing Asajj as a child. He goes to the council, but when he refuses to reveal his informant’s identity, the council refuses to do more than see what nearby Shadows or Watchmen can check up on the situation. Obi is furious but unsurprised and steals a ship using Sifo’s codes. On the way Obi contacts Dooku to confess his actions. Dooku cant leave Serenno immediately so he calls in a favor from Rael Aveross. Rael was working with Nico Diath and the two go to Rattatak. They team up with Obi and the Mandos who Myles originally called about and find Asajj while planning a rescue for Ky Narec.
