Summary
At the peak of Cold War tensions, the United States and the Soviet Union agree to temporarily put their political differences aside for the global good. In a mission to prevent the rise of nuclear war, CIA agent Kirk and the KGB agent Spock are selected as the best of the best by their respective countries, though neither has a record of being voted a team player. Thrust together in an attempt to save the world, the boys are fighting against a ticking clock and, not so secretly, each other.
Will they be able to come together for the sake of completing the mission, or will their own differences stand in the way? Or worse-- will they end up liking each other instead?

Phenomenal fic. The characters were really fun to read about, their dynamics being really entertaining. The characters were similar to aos, but definitely different because of Spock's human upbringing. It was interesting to see how the stoic Vulcan aspect was brought into his character. I'd say the action was one of the key strengths of the story. I really liked the espionage and how it tied to well to Spock and kirk's characters. I know it was a pretty decent sized fic, but I would have loved to see more of their relationship post-disk develop. I almost though there would be another small arc going on over the disc. However, I'm fairly happy with the ending we got. This fic gave me the high that good fanfics usually give me. Definitely worth a reread in the future. Also, being Russian, I though Spock being Russian was interesting. Definitely makes sense in some ways. It was fun to read.
