Summary
aziraphale has been retired from garden duty, and is now a guardian of heaven's personal prison, instead of the eastern gate. (it's really so that gabriel can keep an eye on him.) crowley has been a prisoner since eden; it's how the angels manage to stay one step ahead of the demons every time.
unfortunately, (for the angels, anyway) when god created aziraphale to love all of her creatures...well.
that does mean ALL of her creatures.
