"Are you fucking kidding me. Lecture the kids about preparedness for this outing all week and you forgot your own damn blanket. Even a sweater! It doesn't matter that it was hot this afternoon, you should have known better."
Aizawa grumbled to himself, regret deep in his bones right along with the chilling wind. It had to have been just above freezing that night and his hero uniform was simply not meant for this kind of shit.
"Aizawa-kun did you want to share?"
He ran a hand down his face, utterly humiliated.
Of course the giant, annoying co-teacher he would probably be permanently stuck with had PLENTY of room in his blanket. Aizawa was surprised the thing wasn't official All Might merchandise.
"I couldn't help but notice you forgot your bag at the dorms. I was going to say something but I didn't want to question if...uh... never mind.... if you want to share I'll be... over there."
He must have made some sort of face because the giant man walked a short distance away from him, and settled down where he could still see all the students.
It was the perfect fall evening for such a trip, bundle up with some blankets, trek out to UA's most open grassy clearing and watch the stars. The sky was clear and you could see them endlessly, right along with the brightest moon he had seen in a while. The lights had been turned down in that sector of the grounds to cut the light pollution and Aizawa was surprised to see just how much of a difference it really made.
Fuck it, he didn't want to spend the evening shivering in the cold. It was simply irrational to risk illness when he had a perfectly good offer of warmth not even twenty feet away. What could it really hurt to share a blanket with Toshinori? Nothing. They were two grown-ass men. It would be fine.
Aizawa walked up to Toshinori where he had snuggled into his blanket-oh excuse him, it was actually an appealing sleeping bag. But like... it was specifically made big enough for All Might so there was a lot of extra room around Toshinori's skinny body.
"Um.. would it still be--"
"Hm? Aizawa-kun? Get in the sleeping bag, oh my goodness! Your lips are practically blue!"
The older teacher tsked him and fussed a bit but soon enough they were both inside the sleeping bag and Aizawa could have melted into a pile of happy mush right then and there.
The soft bag had already been leeching heat from Toshinori, and now that Aizawa had been added to the mix, he was toasty and warm within minutes.
Unfortunately for Aizawa, once he was warm the weather was no longer on his mind. Even an All Might sized sleeping bag was rather... *tight* for two people.
So he was pressed right up against Toshinori's side. It was awkward but he also didn't want to move. The man had to have been a natural furnace with how much body heat he gave off and Aizawa would take the warmth from the stiff proximity over the cold any day.
He tried to ignore it, focus on the stars and how much he really loved this damn sleeping bag--Toshinori had been holding out on him. It mostly worked.
Suddenly he felt cold as the top of the bag was unzipped a little further and Toshinori sat up to be sure their awnry little charges weren't up to anything stupid.
Aizawa could almost care less. No, actually... yeah no, he couldn't care less. It may be what they came out here for, but he trusted 1A, and they were really just stargazing.
What he actually cared about was the immediate and dramatic loss of warmth at the opening of the damn sleeping bag.
He whined when Toshinori laid back down.
"You couldnt have wiggled out the top? Its fucking cold dammit."
"Sorry, Aizawa-kun, here-let me make it better. "
And then he was being hugged tight to his large flat chest, warmth radiating through him and what did he do?
Aizawa snuggled right into that shit, surprising both himself and Toshinori.
"Just--dont do it again--" he said, muffled by fabric while he pressed his face against his fellow teacher's chest. It wasn't the intended goal, but now he heard the older man's heartbeat, a regular rhythm that combined with fingers combing through his hair lulled him to sleep.
