Bruce isn’t a forgetful person, usually. He knows all his kids’ social security numbers, their allergies and birthdays. He’s good at numbers, of course he remembers the day Dick left, the day Jason died, the day his parents were murdered. They’re all anniversaries of some kind and Bruce remembers them all vividly and painfully.

Bruce exhaled quietly and carefully turned around in Clark’s arms before slowly peeking open his eyes. He couldn’t help the amused huff that fell from his lips when he was greeted by stunning blue eyes and a dopey smile staring right back at him.
“Why are you awake?” he asked, voice low and gravelly like it always was in the morning—almost like the Bat voice, but also distinctly different in tone.
Clark’s smile only widened. He tugged Bruce closer to him. “I should ask you the same. I’ve always known you were an early riser, but this is just ridiculous.”

“Woah!”
They froze.
A wolf whistle echoed through the conference room behind Bruce. Colour flooded Clark’s face. He dropped his hands from Bruce’s hair in a rush and quickly helped him pull his cowl back on before Bruce backed up and helped him to his feet off the table.
The awkward tension was thick enough to cut.

Bruce & Clark decide to spend some post-mission time together in the conference room. Unfortunately, they seem to forget there was a meeting planned...
