   Summary

   A continuation of 'Smoke Hearts with Mechanical Parts; A Study in Slime,' by LaClarity at Wordpress. This story is a steampunk AU remix of Study in Scarlet, with cephalopod elements.
   Watson hates himself. After being shot in Afghanistan, he underwent a procedure to replace his heart with clockwork. Back in England, his new flatmate is not all he appears - Holmes has been hiding something even more unnatural than Watson's mechanical heart.
   My story picks up where the original left off - Watson's heart is malfunctioning, and in an attempt to get it wound up again, Holmes has revealed himself. Watson swoons in horror.
