He had tried hard to get Uraraka to give him the time of day but Midoriya held her attention more and he didn’t even notice or care.
Eventually Uraraka came to realize that Deku would only ever love hero work andso she became less intrigued by him. That’s when Denki stepped up his efforts.
He wanted that beautiful lady to be his and so he put in the work for six weeks to make it happen.
Denki complimented something new about her every single day. On Mondays he bought her lunch and onTuesdays he carried her books for her. They studied together on Wednesdays and trained together on Thursdays.
Fridays were reserved for movie night with the rest of Class 1-A and they would sit next to each other and share popcorn.Until Ochako made a move back. A big, bold move.
“Kaminari,” she whispered, leaning in close so he could hear her, “I’m cold. Will you share your blanket with me?”
The blanket in question was a small fleece one that barely covered his legs. Being the gentleman though, henodded and prepared to cover her up with it. She had other ideas though and climbed into his lap.
It nearly made him short circuit. The pretty girl in his lap just smiled up at him so sweetly and he wrapped the blanket around her, leaving his arms around her too. She put herhead on his shoulder and continued to watch the movie.
“Uraraka?” He asked quietly to get her attention. She looked at him curiously. “Would you like to go on a date with me?”
Denki could feel her silently giggling. “Isn’t that what we’ve been doing every day for the past sixweeks?”
All he could do was stare at her for a long minute before smiling softly. “Yeah, it is, but I would really like to take you out on a proper date so I can sweep you off of your feet as you fall for me.”
“I already have fallen for you, but yes, I’ll go on a proper datewith you.” Ochako leaned up and kissed him on the cheek before settling in to watch the movie again.
Denki didn’t think and just did what came natural to him. He hugged her tighter and rested his chin on top of her head. “I’ve already fallen for you too but I feel like I’mfloating and you haven’t even used your quirk on me.”
Ochako’s silent laughter shook through Kaminari’s body and all he could think to himself was how much he really loved to share his blanket.
