it's all like magic to me (you do magic, baby)

Summary:

Giyuu moved his finger up to point at Sabito’s mouth. “See? Stupid smile. You're insufferable.” Which only made Sabito smile wider. “Where was I?”

“My smile..?”

[or; giyuu is drunk and sabito is oblivious.]

Notes:

look [points] its almost 800 words of sabigiyuu being "tooth-rottingly" cute

Work Text:

“You’re drunk.” Sabito informed Giyuu with a grin on his face.

“Hm?” The guy next to Sabito with a low ponytail of straight black hair dipped his head forward and nearly fell off of the bench they were sitting on. “Shut up… I’m… not drunk…”

“Sure. As if sober Giyuu would be leaning on my shoulder right now.” Sabito replied, only half joking. Giyuu snatched his head off of Sabito’s shoulder, the latter feeling a twinge of disappointment. He grabbed Giyuu’s arm before he could fall off of the bench again, and shook him slightly.

“How much did you drink?” Giyuu was silent for a minute while he thought about it.

“Well… Shinobu told me to loosen up a little… and I guess they forgot that they had already given me a bottle? Yeah…” Giyuu slumped onto Sabito’s shoulder again. “Mmm… your shoulder is warm…”

Sabito gently pushed him off of his shoulder. “Giyuu, be rational here. Shoulders are not ‘warm’. Especially due to the fact that they are made up of mostly bone.”

Giyuu sluggishly held a finger up to Sabito’s lips. “Shh…”

The bus pulled up to the stop, and Sabito pulled Giyuu to his feet. “Up you go.” He helped him board the bus, and took Giyuu’s bus card from his wallet to pay the fare.

“Your house or my house?” Sabito didn’t want to leave Giyuu be himself in this condition, and there was a good chance that no one was home at Giyuu’s house.

“My house is… cold…” Giyuu replied, almost whining at the thought of being cold. As if that was the height of his worries.

“Well, I’m not entirely sure the rest of my family wants to deal with your drunk ass.”

“Fine…”

“Where’s your key?” “Uh… in my bag…”

Sabito fished Giyuu’s house key out of the front pocket of his bag, and unlocked the door. “It’s not that cold.” He said, leading Giyuu over to the couch in his living room to get him situated before he moved around the house, searching for the knob to turn on the heater.

By the time Sabito had gotten back, Giyuu had already slumped over onto the couch, clutching a pillow to his chest.

Sabito laughs, soft, and joins Giyuu on the couch. “Are you always like this in your house?”

“Mhm… it’s cold and I’m… lonely…” Giyuu replied, jokingly dramatic, even rolling over and throwing a hand over his eyes in mock exasperation. Suddenly, he sat up and stared at Sabito, all traces of intoxication suddenly gone. “You know, sometimes I like to think of you.”

Sabito’s breath caught in his throat, and he was surprised that his next words even came out. “Really?”

“Yeah. I like thinking of your soft hair and your sparkly eyes and how your smile can light up the whole world. You,” he pointed at Sabito, nearly jabbing at his left eye, “are handsome as fuck .” He finished, with a determined glint in his eyes.

Sabito, admittedly, was a little flustered at Giyuu’s bold proclamation of love , no less. “Is this… a confession?”

Giyuu groaned and jabbed at Sabito’s chest. “Shut UP; I was being poetic here.” Sabito smiled again. “Sure.”

Giyuu moved his finger up to point at Sabito’s mouth. “See? Stupid smile . You're insufferable.” Which only made Sabito smile wider. “Where was I?”

“My smile..?”

“Mhm… and your laugh. God, I just want to take your laugh and fucking inject it into my veins. I bet you're even a good kisser, too. Is there anything you can't do?”

Sabito smiled that smile that seemed to be brighter than the sun as he replied, “Well, I can't dance.” He pulled Giyuu’s face towards his and brushed his lips over Giyuu’s forehead and cheeks before finally connecting their lips together.

Sabito could feel Giyuu’s face shifting as his eyes widened before they shut tight. Both of Giyuu’s hands curled into fists, his short nails digging into the skin of his palm. He took one of Giyuu’s hands in his own hands and gently pried it open. Giyuu eventually grabbed Sabito’s hand and interlocked their fingers.

God, Sabito could probably make a job out of kissing, Giyuu mused as he let out a hum of content.

When they broke apart, Sabito’s face was smug as he spoke. “I also can't help falling in love with you.”

Giyuu blinked. “You mean it? You're in love with me?”

Sabito raised their interlocked fingers. “I mean, unless that kiss was a hallucination. I’ll say it again. Giyuu Tomioka, I am in love with you.”

“Shut up before I fall in love with the way you say my name.”

Sabito smiled, bright like the sun.
