After he fixed his side ponytail, he wore his warmest smile pulling the door open to welcome the interviewer.
"Good evening, Chuuya-san ."
"Chuuya-san ?! Well, come in ."
The interviewer followed the redhead inside his place with the cameraman right after them saying no word.
"It is the name of your most popular role, i thought we could use it in this interview if you don't mind ?"
"Of course i don't ."
"How are you ?"
"I'm fine, you ?"
Chuuya walked them through the corridor with doors to different rooms on both sides smiling at the man who said he was fine too before they enter the living room.
"Why did you choose to live here ?"
"I thought it was a beautiful house, not too big and hard to clean so perfect for me, the neighboors are nice and it's safe too ."
"Do you do the cleaning yourself ?"
"Of course i do !"
"That's nice. Is orange the real colour of your hair ?"
"It is ."
"The blue eyes too ?"
"They are real ."
"So you aren't completely Japanese ?"
"Just half ."
"As your character in the series ?"
"I won't spoil~"
Chuuya winked at the camera then pulled a brown jacket wearing it on top of his red v-neck sweater with the interviewer doing the same all of them going through the living room's big glassy doors to the garden.
"Do you like this cold weather ?"
"Of course ! I love winter but i do prefer when it snows compared to this rain ."
"You do seem similar with the role you play as Nakahara Chuuya, what do you think about this character ?"
"Honestly, i fell in love, Chuuya had such a terrible past yet look at him, he is always standing up, looking straight ahead, never chickening out, ready to face anyone and anything. Isn't he amazing ?"
"He is, we are all in love with him. What did you think about the New type awards ?"
The cameraman made sure to record the whole garden then he followed them in the house again as it was freezing outside.
"The series won so many awards just like last year, i feel so proud and happy for the ones who put so much effort to make this project real, let it be the actors, authors and everyone from the staff ."
"They sure did an amazing job. What is your opinion about the popularity of your character ?"
Chuuya asked the other two if they wanted some hot coffee or tea as he saw them shivering a little from the cold weather then he prepared what they asked for in the kitchen while answering the question.
"It surprised me, i would have never guessed he would get this popular when i first accepted this role but i sure am happy about this and thank everyone supporting me ."
Both men took the drinks he handed them, the interviewer saying the coffee tasted just as he liked it.
"Is it true that you know how to cook ?"
"I do. I am only now learning how to make Japanese dishes though ."
Chuuya walked them in a different room now, one with a desk and shelves filled with books.
"Do you like reading ?"
"Yes, especially poetry ."
"Did you ever read the works of the real life poet behind your character ?"
"I did, some of them made me cry and i really felt honored when i was asked to play a role inspired by him ."
"How about the authors behind the other characters ?"
"I love them and i read many of their works like 'No longer human' i mean, who didn't read 'No longer human'-"
"I didn't .."
"You should ! There are also Dostoyevsky's books, or Poe's, even Agatha's and many many others ."
"Your favorite ?"
"I have two favorites and i could never choose between them, it's Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine ."
"Just like real life Nakahara-san ."
"I guess yes ."
Chuuya walked them upstairs now going past his bedroom the second he spotted it even though they planned to record in there too. They went in a different room instead and the interviewer didn't wait to carry on with his questions.
"Anything similar between you and your character ?"
"Mmh .. maybe the fact that we both love wine, except i don't get drunk easily ."
"What else ?"
"I love hats just like him, i used to get angry when i hear comments about my height but i don't now, i don't smoke but i do love gloves ."
"How about the choker ?"
"I only started to wear it after i played as Chuuya, guess i got used to it, same with the hair style, i think i'm getting influenced by the character ."
"Just don't get angry at us .. if you could choose one between 15 years old, 16 years old and 22 years old Chuuya, who would it be ?"
"Aren't they all the same, all so angry !!!"
Chuuya grit his teeth to the camera then grinned before he pouts at the interviewer insisting.
"Only one .."
"I will go with 22 years old Chuuya, he's the calmest and i guess the one i can relate to the most ."
"What are your expectations for 'Storm Bringer' ?"
"It will be a blast !"
"Can you give some insight to your fans ?"
"Actually, i have no idea what it will be about, i just trust Asagiri-sensei to make the best out of it as he usually does ."
"Were there any scenes you had a hard time recording ?"
"Surprisingly, the action scenes were pretty easy to me, i had a harder time with ... mostly the arguing scenes, being so angry is out of my usual self, besides, i am good friends with Shuuji- i mean, Dazai-san in real life so it was hard keeping up with the act in the scenes i shared with him ."
Chuuya was waiting for the next questions as he folded some clothes he left on the bed there not expecting the interviewer to suddenly chuckle.
"What is it ?"
"It's just .. so unusual to hear you say 'Dazai-san' .."
"Well, of course, i am being myself right now but if i was in character, i would probably say something like 'I hate dealing with that bandages wasting device !'"
"Fans love that. Who are the actors you get along with the most ?"
"Mmh .. probably Ranpo-san that i didn't know till we started this show and Nikolai-san that i knew even before ."
"Nikolai-san ? That was not expected ."
"Let me tell you a story about him, you know how in the show he died way too soon, all the cast went to Asagiri-sensei pleading him to give him a more important role especially Nakajima-san, he even got on four to beg him but Asagiri-sensei was like 'Nop !'"
They all laughed at the short story Chuuya told then the interviewer carried on.
"Did you know that he would come back in the latest chapter ?"
"No one knew ! He surprised all of us ."
"Was it because of your begging ?"
"I doubt that, Asagiri-sensei's the type who plans everything beforehand so .. i guess he just wanted to tease us, isn't he cruel ?"
"He is, especially with his fans. One scene you are looking forward to film ?"
"I don't have so many scenes i mean .. i am but a mere side character .."
Chuuya acted like tearing up making them laugh again.
"You may have more scenes with 'Storm Bringer'."
"If it gets an adaptation ."
"I am sure it will get popular enough for that, just like 'Fifteen'. One scene you want to record in Chuuya's character ?"
"I actually have two scenes, one where he genuinely laughs and one where he cries, i think this will show new sides of him and how emotional he could be just as the in reality Nakahara-san, i mean, we only saw him getting all angry, annoyed, furious, startled, irritated .. i'm sure the fans want something new ."
"One actor you look up to ?"
"Hirotsu-san ! You can't imagined how much i fanboyed when i heard that both of us will be in the same series and the same organization !! I always watched his series when i was young and being in the same show with him is like a dream coming true ."
Chuuya got closer to the camera, his blue eyes brightening as of a child who just received his favorite gift.
"Hirotsu-san, if you are watching this then you gotta know that i love you !"
He then looked back at the other two chuckling.
"I was so shy to say this during the recording, i didn't even ask for an autograph .. i felt the happiest when we filmed the fighting scene together in 'Fifteen' ."
"You sure admire him. Your favorite color ?"
"Red ."
"Favorite weather ?"
"Cloudy ."
"Favorite season ?"
"Autumn ."
"Favorite song ?"
"'Bury me' by 30 seconds to mars ."
"Favorite show ?"
"As of now .. it must be 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' ."
"Your favorite character in that show ?"
"Inosuke, i love him !"
"Is it true that you were asked to play as 'Zenitsu' there ?"
"Yes but i declined the offer .."
"Why ?"
"I felt like i wasn't ready for it and my choice was the right one since i would have never done a job as good as the one who actually took the role ."
"What kind of character would you want to play next ?"
"A sweetheart, that would be the easiest for me ."
"Are you saying that you are a sweetheart ?"
"Am i not ?"
"You sure are ."
Chuuya grinned again deciding to get up and take them to the veranda where they could have a sight on the whole garden and the neighborhood.
"Did you like the choice of your ability in the show ?"
"Yes ! Wish i could control gravity in real life too, it would make my daily life way easier ."
"Another super power you wish you had ?"
"Poe-san's ability in the series, that's like .. the perfect ability ! Writing a story and being able to be part of it would be perfect ."
"One thing you would say to your younger self ?"
"Work hard, it will pay off ."
"If you weren't an actor, what would you be ?"
"Mmh .. maybe a poet ?"
"Really ?"
"Yeah .."
"How about you share with us one of your writings ?"
"That's embarrassing ! But well .. mmh let me think ..."
After giving it some thought, Chuuya breathed in then asked them not to laugh before he starts with his poem mentioning that it was a long one.
I am sitting here
And almost in fear
I write with this pen of mine
As i can't help but cry
Cry at the beauty of these moments
These moments we spent together
Laughing ... arguing ... crying
Over importent matters then
That seem pointeless now
Here i am crying
As i try fighting
These memories that are threatening
To flood again in my aching heart
Chuuya looked at them to see their reaction but noticed how focused they were so he just opted to carry on as he leaned on the balcony gazing at the falling rain.
Aching at recalling our first love
At how we were embarrassed
At how we held hands for the first time
At our chaste, soft … first kiss
At all those ethereal moments we shared
Ethereal moments that are long gone
Ethereal moments that will never comeback
Ethereal moments that are undone
Ethereal moments that we could never switchback
Leaving us alone ... all alone ...
With just the memories showing back
From time to time ...
He glanced back at the camera with a light blush on his cheeks.
"Should i carry on ?"
"Of course, you can't leave it in such an angsty point ."
Chuuya smiled promising he will give it a good ending then continued.
Some make us smile
Some make us shed a tear
Some make us cry
Some make us want to bear
Bear ... everything ... anything
As long as we know ...
That we will meet again
Smile again
Laugh again
Cry again
Argue again
But mostly ...
... live again ...
Because together ...
We existed
We were alive !
And we still will exist
And we still will live
There is for our love no exit
That is what i want to believe ...
When Chuuya paused there they thought he was done and they were about to cheer for him before he suddenly adds.
Believe that ...
Our happy days together ...
Our sad days together ...
As long as we are together ...
Our love will have no end.
"I told you it will be a long one ."
He laughed still blushing as the other two cheered for him now, the cameraman almost tearing up at the beauty of the poem.
"Does Chuuya-san have a lover ?"
"No ."
"There is no way someone who isn't in love could write such a beautiful love poem ."
"Being in love doesn't mean having a lover~"
"Is there anyone out there who wouldn't want to date you ?"
"You maybe ?"
"I would never-"
"Then would you ?"
"I .. i wouldn't want your fans to hate me ..."
"Oh come on, my fans are the nicest~"
Chuuya winked at the camera again knowing this would drive his fans crazy before they all walk inside the house again heading downstairs to the living room where they could find the fire place to warm them.
"What do you like doing in your spare time ?"
"Reading a book with a cup of coffee on the side, especially when it's raining ."
"Is this what you will do when we leave ?"
"Probably ."
"Your celebrity crush ?"
"God why do you keep asking embarrassing questions .. well, i guess i .. will go with Dabi-san from My Hero Academia .."
"That is surprising, did you ever get to talk with him ?"
"We work for the same studio since as you know both My Hero Academia and Bungou Stray Dogs are adapted by Bones and we did meet several times but i was too shy to address him .."
"Was the poem for him ?"
"No ! I mean, even if it was i wouldn't say so .. that's embarrassing .."
"I guess fans will start shipping you after this .. how about the fact that most fans ship you with Dazai-san ?"
"Ah well .. i would love to hear him answer this question ."
"Are you telling us to do this '73 Questions' with him too ?"
"Yes, you will definitely not get bored with him ."
"Another actor you would want us to do this with ?"
"Definitely Akutagawa-san because he is so different compared to his character ."
"You didn't answer the question about the 'Soukoku' ship though ."
"Oh they call it 'Soukoku' ? I thought they pick the first syllable from each name or something like that ."
"Well, yes, in your case it will be 'DaChuu' but your fans say that you already have 'Soukoku' as your canon name so why use a different one ."
"Guess they are right, my fans are pretty smart ."
He chuckled obviously trying to dodge the question but at the interviewer's look, he knew there was no escape and no need to make him repeat the question again.
"For the ship, well whatever makes my fans glad, if shipping the two of us makes them happy then that makes our happiness too, i am sure Dazai-san shares my opinion ."
"You really are a sweetheart ."
"Thank you ."
"Would you date a fan ?"
"A fan or a celebrity or anything else .. it doesn't matter as long as we are in love with each other ."
"What was your favorite subject back in school ?"
"Literature ."
"A country you would like to visit ?"
"Russia, Nikolai-san keeps talking about it but i didn't get to visit it yet ."
"If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future ?"
"Past because sometimes, we all need to remember where we came from and what we went through to get here ."
"Cats or dogs ?"
"Dogs ."
"Do you have a sweet tooth ?"
"No, i'm not that fond of sweets ."
"Are you a big or a little spoon ?"
"Both, whatever my partner wants ."
"A top or a bottom ?"
"Same answer ."
Chuuya was doing his best to act natural, luckily he was an actor so it was easy for him to put on an act.
"Your biggest pet peeve ?"
"Waiting, i like punctuality ."
"What's one thing people would never guess just by looking at you ?"
"Many things but mostly the fact that i am kind, when people see me outside, they tend to remember my character as Chuuya so they could never guess that i can be nice .. by the way let me tell you a secret ."
He got closer to the camera making the other two chuckle.
"Chuuya may act all serious but that's just because he thinks that's how he should act as a Mafia executive, deep inside, he is the sweetest person alive !"
"Okay .. do you have any siblings ?"
"No ."
"Then would you consider any of your fellow colleagues as siblings ?"
"I would say ... Oda-san is my big brother ! He's such an angel and Asagiri-sensei did a great job to show that, while i would take Kenji-san as my younger brother, i love that boy ."
Chuuya was the first to stand up walking to the door with the other two after him as they only had three questions left.
"What was the decision that changed your life ?"
"When i agreed to be 'Nakahara Chuuya' in Bungou Stray Dogs ."
"One word to your fans ?"
"Thanks- hey ! It's hard to put all what i have to say in just one word !! Anyway, i thank my fans for all their support and i promise that my future works won't disappoint, love you all guys ."
Chuuya already had the front door open with the interviewer and cameraman out but still recording him standing at the entry.
"One last question, are you and Shuuji-san dating ?"
"Get out of here !"
Chuuya acted like he was about to run after them with the other two running away while they all laughed.
"Have a good evening, Chuuya-san ."
"You too, bye~"
... and the door was closed indicating the end of the interview.
Chuuya opened the door again thanking everyone who helped making this show then after they discussed about few details, they finally left letting him rest.
The second he was done, he walked up to his bedroom not even frowning at the sight he found there, at Shuuji aka Dazai laying seductively on the bed while facing the door waiting for him but getting surprised when he saw him on his own.
"Where is the camera ?"
"They are gone ."
"Why didn't you bring them here ?!"
"Because YOU are here .."
"But this was the best chance to make our relationship official ... how did you know i was here ?"
"I guessed from the expression you wore when i told you about this interview but how did you even get in here ?"
"From the back door then i came here when you were in the garden ."
Dazai moved to the side letting his lover lay beside him before he quickly wraps his arms around the redhead's small figure.
"Did they ask any questions about us ?"
"Many .. like questions about the ship, what i think about it, if the two of us are dating, it was embarrassing ..."
"What else ?"
"They asked about my celebrity crush ."
"What was your answer ?"
"Not you ."
Chuuya chuckled at his lover's cute pout wrapping his arms around the other's waist when Dazai turned to face him with his back acting all angry before he pulls his phone showing him a fanart of them that made Chuuya shiver.
"We should try this next time we do it !"
"Stop getting inspired by your fans arts when it comes to your private activities !"
"Why ? They are being of a big help ."
Chuuya blushed again glancing at the art with him being blindfolded, handcuffed, on his knees with his butt up as Dazai thrusted in him from behind.
"I told them to do the '73 Questions' with you next .."
"Really ?"
Dazai put the phone aside turning to face his lover, his hand pushing ginger locks away gently to have a better sight of his lover's perfect features.
"Even when you know i would answer honestly in case they ask if we are dating ?"
"Mmh .."
"You should have just mentioned you were too shy to say it, you know i would do it for you ."
"N-no .. i will be there with you ."
"You would ?"
Chuuya blushed harder as he leaned closer giving a quick peck to the brunet's soft lips resting his hand on the hand brushing his cheek.
"Let's .. make our relationship official together, Shuuji ."
"Whatever your wish is, love ."
