Chapter Text
The entire class simultaneously freaked. And they continued to freak for the next week. Randomly kids would ask Eijirou, Katsuki, Shouto, or Deku about their gifts, which was really grinding on Katsuki’s nerves.
“Hey, Bakubro!” called Kaminari as he walked across the mildly occupied common area towards the blond. “Can I ask you something?”
“No.” Katsuki returned to looking at his phone, where he was watching a video on what people think the gods are like. He liked watching the people fail.
Denki did not seem to hear the gods words. “Can you like, I don’t know, magically appear to a reincarnate who’s injured? And how does it feel to know you are forever going to have to be loyal to Ei?”
Katsuki dropped his head back and it smacked on the couch. He had 2 years of this shit left and then he gets to go and help people to train for being a god. “No, I’m only a god-in-training as Mana calls it. I have very minimal powers at the moment, so no, I can’t magically teleport anywhere besides Olympus and back.”
He brought his head up and glared at Denki as he said, “And for the record. I love Eijirou, so I have no trouble staying loyal to him. There is nothing that can stop me from being in love with him, and nothing he can do to annoy me to the extent that I regret getting engaged to him.” He stood up, towering over Denki slightly. “I am proud to see what amazing things Ei will do with his powers, and if that means that I feel more loyal than the immeasurable amount I feel, then so be it. Now please excuse me, I have a fiance to go visit.” Katsuki started to walk off and then froze.
Athena had warned Katsuki that since he is only in training, something that has never existed until now, there is no precedent. Meaning that the gods can play tricks on them so long as it does no damage. Gods have a wicked streak to them and they love messing with each other. There only too happy to add Katsuki to the mix.
Aphrodite had just made Katsuki share all his romantic feelings about Ei to the short-circuiting Dionysus. He was going to seriously prank her later. Maybe include a funhouse mirror.
Up the stairs Katsuki went, up to his and Ei’s room. It was all one big room with two doors in, and no wall acting as a barrier. Hera had purposely set it up like that, and Katsuki thanked her for it many times.
Once he reached the room, he entered silently, trying his best to hide himself from Eijirou.
Sadly, Eijirou seemed to gain the ability to see Katsuki due to that Aphrodite blessing tracker they got, making sneaking up on him impossible.
“Wow. I’m real scared, Babe.” Eijirou was smiling as Katsuki rapidly enveloped him in an embrace. “You seem angry. Who was it this time?”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. The redhead had mastered reading his boyfriend and that only slightly annoyed Katsuki. “Denki. He was trying to ask if I could teleport and if I would ever fucking regret being with you for eternity, or something like that shit.”
Chuckling softly, Eijirou continued to work on the homework they were assigned by Aizawa. “Well, would you?”
“What?”
Eijirou looked at Katsuki. “Would you ever regret being with me, forever and ever? ‘Til the end of time?”
Katsuki shook his head, then bent his head and kissed Eijirou’s neck. “Never. I love you and I don’t think I have to explain this to you anymore. You damn well know how I feel about you and how excited I am to take on everything with you.”
Shifting Katsuki so that they were face to face again, Eijirou said, “Speaking of taking on everything, ready to talk to your mom about all this?”
Katsuki froze. That sounded more terrifying than fighting any god. Technically, Mitsuki was Katsuki’s mother, but she really had no control over him since Athena was going to be his forever mom in the history books and legends.
Try explaining that to the woman who birthed him.
In his arms, Eijirou laughed. “I’ll take that as a no. Well, we leave in 10 minutes, so you better turn that ‘no’ into a ‘yes’.” Eijirou got up and threw Katsuki over his shoulder. “I have a feeling that you’ve been ready to go for an hour, since you are in a fairly nice everyday outfit. You have your wallet and keys?”
Acting like a ragdoll, Katsuki muttered a “yes”, and they were off.
They got looks as they started out the door towards the gate, where they were going to meet Izuku and Shouto.
The day was grey, but not rainy, so that was nice. Eijirou was humming some song Apollo taught him the other day, and Katsuki had to admit that he wasn’t half bad.
The walk to the gate was borderline humiliating. Several students had to stop and loudly point out and exclaim at the couple.
Word had spread quickly that 1-A may or may not have actual gods among them, but the class swore to keep the who and how many a secret, for the “safety” of the four. Really it was probably just because they liked the secrecy.
When they finally, finally, reached the gate, Eijirou gently set Katsuki onto the ground and gave the blond a kiss on the head.
“You are going to give me fucking cavities, Sunshine.” Katsuki jokingly brushed Eijirou away, a smile toying at his lips. Looking up Katsuki saw two figures walking towards them. Judging by the fact that their silhouettes were very familiar and that he couldn’t read them, it had to be the last two of the 1-A resident gods.
“Took you long enough.” Katsuki was leaning on Eijirou, pretending like they had been there an hour instead of a minute.
Izuku looked nervous, as if he believed Katsuki’s teasing. “Oh sorry! We were going to leave sooner, but right as we left the door I remembered that I forgot something in my room, so I had to run and grab it. I didn’t realize that it took that long, so I’m sorry if we made you two wait.”
Katsuki stared dumbfounded at his childhood friend, “And just when I thought you couldn’t get any more gullible. It was a joke, Deku.”
Izuku looked embarrassed. He started stuttering and trying to find the words to say, so Katsuki decided to stop him by somewhat roughly messing up the gods green hair.
“Shall we go? Our parents are waiting.” Shouto said from where he was standing next to the gate.
Eijirou skipped out the gate, waving his arm for the others to follow. “Let’s get a move on!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes but followed.
