It was currently 3:27 in the afternoon. A somewhat similar atmosphere from the one Ochako had last seen before closing her eyes a couple hours prior.
Instead, the sun was out in its full glory. A truly beautiful day in Musutafu, Japan. The sound of kids returning from school replaced the sounds of slightly smaller children playing Handball.
However, there was a big difference in an other area that Ochako surely noticed.
"Hmm-Izuku? Babe?" Ochako slurred out as she awoke from her well-deserved and peaceful slumber.
The difference Ochako noticed was that her favorite pair of arms weren't currently wrapped around her at the moment. How strange.
"Yeah? I'm right here." A voice called out from her right.
Ochako turned her attention to the bathroom which was currently occupying her boyfriend. She dragged herself out of bed, and with a few stretches, strolled her way towards the bathroom.
The music making its way towards her ears and the faint presence of humidity in the room signalled to her that Izuku was in the middle of a bath in the room situated next to her.
And so, she opened the see through glass door and walked in without any sense of shame. They were partners; so who cares?
"Hey, no invite?" asked Ochako with a raised eyebrow
"Well, you were sleeping and I didn't want to interrupt you. After all, heroes should always act in the best interest of others right?"
"Gosh, you're such a dork." exlaimed Ochako playfully with a roll of her eyes.
"I was just about to get out. However, I'll think of reconsidering if you'd join me." Said Izuku with a wink of his left eye.
"I think I'll take you up on that offer." Ochako cheekily replied.
After their bath, Izuku decided to tell Ochako to get ready. It was a big day for them after all.
"Hm? Where are we going?"
"Remember how that villain ruined our plans last night? Especially after I spent hours planning it?"
"Uh.. Yeah? What about it? And what do you mean hours? All we did was go out for dinner." said a slightly confused Ochako. Sure, the restaurant was very high end but it shouldn't take hours to find a good restaurant in their area.
"Yes, That's the problem. We only got to go to dinner. That was only part one of our date that I planned out. So, I've decided that we'll commence with part two tonight."
"Hmm. Now you've got me interested. So, where to?"
"Well, it really wouldn't be a birthday surprise if I told you right? Now, come on. Get dressed and let's get in the car!"
"Fine fine, its not polite to rush a lady Izuku!"
In the car, Izuku deliberately played slow and relaxing music. He didn't want Ochako to even be able to come close to figuring out what he had planned for her. Eventually, Ochako succumbed to her built up fatigue and once again fell asleep.
As Ochako opened her eyes, she realized it was now evening. She had been asleep for the better part of an hour or two, but that had been enough for the world to spin without her.
She realized Izuku had slowed down the speed in which he was driving, and concluded that they were close to their destination.
"Okay... We're here." Said Izuku in a gentle voice
As she stepped out of the car, Ochako studied her surroundings. The area around her was a field full of flowers, with a huge tree overlooking the area.
"Come on, hop on." Said Izuku as he reached out an outstretched hand towards her. She took his hand and climbed ontop of the car with him.
"So, what are we doing here?"
"Look up." Izuku simply said and she took his advice.
The sight before her was mesmerizing. Billions of stars seemed to be staring back at her as they illuminated the sky with their bright light. She finally realized what Izuku had planned for her. It wasn't anything grand, but the fact that he remembered that her favorite activity was to gaze at the stars made her heart skip two beats.
"Stargazing" was the simple word that Izuku had uttered out.
"Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary, Ochako."
When he said those words. She wrapped her arms around the back of his head and pulled him down to give him a kiss. She pulled back after a couple of seconds, and gave him another. A symbol of the two occasions that Izuku had just mentioned.
"So what do ya think?"
"Thank you, Izuku. I love stargazing and I love it even more when I'm with you."
"Good, because otherwise, I would've been really nervous giving you your actual present."
"Hm? Present? What is it?
Izuku fished for a rolled up piece of paper he had hidden in the pocket of his sweater.
He handed her the piece of paper, and as she analyzed it. He decided to speak up.
"Starting today, you are now Ochako Uraraka, proud owner of her own star in the Andromeda constellation!" Stated Izuku with his chest puffed out, looking rather pleased with himself.
She couldn't believe her eyes. She had her very own star! What Izuku handed to her was a certificate, officially recognizing her as the owner of an actual star!
"Izuku, thank you so much! I love it! I love it! I love you! I love you!"
"I love you too." The two embraced each other and after a couple minutes entrapped in Izuku's arms, Ochako decided now was a perfect time to drop the bomb on her (not official) soon-to-be husband.
"Hey Izuku, would it be fine with you if I renamed the star to something else?"
A little taken back, Izuku nodded.
"What do you want to name it? And why so?"
Ochako untangled herself from his arms, stared at him with pure unwavering love in her eyes and said
"Well, I want this to be ready for our child in a couple of months. Nothing beats having your own star as your first birthday gift, right?" Ochako grinned.
