Deku was nervous. Really really really nervous, in fact.
At age 18, nearing the end of his third and final year at UA academy for aspiring pro heroes, Izuku finally had his first (and hopefully) only girlfriend ever.
She was an airheaded and endearing brunnete by the name of Ochako Uraraka, and while Ochako probably couldn't tell you when she fell hard for the boy, Izuku surely could recall when he fell for her.
During their 1st year, Class 1-A was pitted against the slightly insecure Class 1-B in joint training battles. The two classes were to compete against each other in team matches. Simultaneously improving their chemistry and quirk prowess.
Izuku remembered how his newest quirk at that point, Black Whip, had gone awry. All he could remember was excruciating pain in his body as black matter seemed to ooze from within him.
Though Ochako could've instead stood there and give in to the shock she was experiencing, she instead chose to save him.
She wanted to be there for her best friend when he needed help. She succeeded.
Along with Shinsou, she was able to to save Deku.
Ashido's infamous teasing came afterwards, and while she did indeed blush, she felt that she had grew as a heroine.
She had killed two birds with one stone. She had finally showed the skills necessary to improve while simultaneously being able to repay Deku who had been by her side since day one.
Deku recalls that day with fondness, as the day he fell for Ochako Uraraka.
However, that didn't offset the nervous feeling in his stomach.
Today was the day he was going to tell Ochako his secret of One For All. This would be the first time he has ever told anyone his secret.
It didn't feel right for someone so important and close to him to be left in the dark.
Bakugou found out through his own surprising analytics, and promised to keep the secret to himself.
His mother Inko, had been informed by All Might in his 2nd year, after she as well noticed the glaring and all too familiar similarities in their quirks.
This case was different, as this would be the first time in which Izuku would tell someone about his One For All through his own free will.
As she was getting ready to go to her room to go to sleep. Izuku had caught her wrist, and dragged her to his dorm room.
Ochako bashfully entered the room and questioned him.
"So why did you drag me here, Zuku?" Ochako asked him.
Izuku blushed at the endearing nickname. Although they'd been dating for a couple and months and had been on first name basis since their 2nd year, he couldn't help but feel a little bit embarrassed.
"Sit down on the bed please. I wanna tell you something." Izuku said with a gentle touch in his voice.
She obliged and sat on his bed. She looked at him with eager eyes, ready for the piece of information promised to her.
Deku finally mustered the strength and courage necessary, and with determined eyes, looked into hers and told her everything about the quirk of One For All.
As Deku finished, he felt like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. He was relieved that he didn't have to go through the nervouseness of preparing himself for this talk.
However, at the same time, he felt anxious. Specific thoughts ran through his head at that time. What if she broke up with him for not telling her sooner? What if she was upset at him?
Luckily for him, with Ochako being Ochako. She more than understood his reasoning for waiting this long in telling her.
Without saying anything. She stood up, wrapped her arms around his waist and embraced him.
"Thank you for trusting me with this information, Izuku." She stated in a gentle voice.
"Huh? You're not mad or anything?" Exclaimed Deku with surprise.
"Dummy, why would I be mad? The fact that you told me in the first place tells me how you feel about me." Ochako playfully stated.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief and layed the both of them on his bed.
Ochako gazed up at him. She reached up, wrapped her arms around his neck and brought him down for a sweet kiss.
As their lips broke apart, she decided this was the perfect time for it to be known to him her dedication to their relationship.
"You know you can confide in me right? As a hero and as a girlfriend, when you need me, Don't hesitate to tell me alright? I love you ya know." Ochako whispered with a red face.
Izuku smiled.
"Of course. I love you too."
With that, after sharing another kiss, they fell asleep in each other's embrace.
