"So.. Um, does anyone wanna go to the movies with me?" Stammered out Izuku as he looked at his classmates as they sat in the common room.
Izuku had recently won two tickets to see the brand new All-Might movie in a raffle he had entered two weeks prior. He certainly wasn't expecting to win, but hey, he wasn't going to complain.
He didn't know why there were two tickets, but if he were to use his normally analytical mind in an area other than heroism, he would've realized that the date to go see the movie was eerily close to Valentine's Day.
Of course, he had no prior reasoning to even venture into that way of thinking and it may seem like a reach, but to be fair, it was only one day before the holiday.
As he asked this question, surprisingly many people were down to go, including Mineta, Ojiro, Kirishima, and Kaminari. However, the death glare they received from the normally bubbly Mina Ashido quickly eradicated the words threatening to escape from their mouths.
You see, Mina was waiting for the opportunity to set her two friends Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka up. The pink skinned girl loved to play Cupid, but when it came to these two, the intensity she showed was sort of intimidating.
I mean, who can blame her? She'd been trying to get these two to realize their feelings for each other for the better half of a year- close to- two years now. They were 2nd years almost 3rd years now!
Mina was frustrated with how her two friends simply couldn't take a hint. She was sure the entire class were aware of the feelings and tension between the two besides the two in question.
Hell, even Bakugou, under the guise of being tired and annoyed of seeing the two make googly eyes at each other without doing anything, set the perfect opportunity for Deku to make a move when he purposely bumped into Deku while he was situated on top of a desk while talking to Uraraka.
However, all this did was make Uraraka instinctively push her arms forward which resulted in Deku floating to the top of the ceiling. Much to the embarrassment of the two, and much to the dismay of Bakugou as he watched the two blush and apologize profusely.
So, Mina was understandably not letting the chance of having Ochako and Izuku see a movie together slip through her fingers.
She turned to Ochako, and with a sly grin, said in a louder than normal voice
"Huh? You said you wanted to go with Midoriya, Ochako?" Questioned Mina loudly as the surprised brunnete looked at her.
Ochako was caught off guard at being put on the spot like that, and honestly, she did want to go, but she didn't know whether or not it was a good idea to do so.
Izuku perked up at this.
"Uraraka! Are you sure you'd like to go with me?" Exclaimed Izuku as he looked over to the brunnete.
She couldn't possibly refuse him as she saw the look of excitement prevalent in his eyes.
"Mhm. Yeah! I'd love to Deku!" She said to him in a cheery voice and as he left to go to his room to relax before going, she turned to Mina with a questioning look on her face as the pink girl rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.
She turned Sato and with a look, he nodded at her.
It looks like she was going to have to wait to have him teach her how to bake chocolates for a certain greenette.
So, she too decided to head for her dorm room before it was time to go.
As the two got dressed and exited the gates of UA together, they felt a pang of excitement in their chests. Whether that was excitement over the movie or of spending time together, that would remain to be seen.
As they arrived, they were pondering about what to do to kill time. The movie didn't start until another hour so the two decided to look around the area and go into some stores.
Ochako's parents finally found good jobs after their construction business fell through, so they decided to spoil their little girl and give her some money.
While she was grateful for this, this did not deter her from wanting to make enough money as a hero, to the point in which she could retire her parents full time.
Her newfound modest amount of money however, didn't stop Deku from buying her a Nezu plush, much to her amusement and slight embarrassment.
As the two entered the theater and got their snacks. They seated themselves in the middle aisle and waited for the movie to begin.
Much to Izuku's disappointment, the movie wasn't really all that good. He also felt that the cliché "arm around the girl as they watched the movie" stunt he pulled was a little unnecessary. However, Uraraka didn't seem to mind and maybe even sent him a few signals with how she layed her head on his shoulder at the later part of the movie.
So, In Izuku's mind, he really enjoyed it. Not the movie of course, but spending time with Ochako and getting a confident feeling that she may like him back.
What he didn't know, was that was exactly the same thought process as what was going through Ochako's mind right now.
As they approached UA, and subsequently, the entrance of their dorm, Ochako decided to stop the little small talk the two had been sharing and make her move.
She turned around, and with Nezu plushie in hand, kissed him on the cheek, and with a burning face stuttered her thanks to him.
"Thanks for today Deku! I had a umm.. Fun time!" She exclaimed with a red face as she ran into the building.
The two failed to notice the pink skinned girl in the window cheering as she observed her two friends' red faces.
