Work Text:
Midoriya pushed his face further into Toshinori’s chest. RIght now, both of them were kneeling on the ceiling, himself crying and Toshinori offering comfort. A tug in his chest disrupted the semi-peace they had and he lifted his head the tiniest bit, trying to find the source of the tug. He was greeted by watching open air, over Toshinori’s shoulder, bend and warp. Sitting up fully, he heard Aizawa get into a combat-ready position, heard Shinsou’s yelp of surprise, and Toshinori groaning at something on his phone. Then the warping stopped, the fabric of reality still bent. Then a tiny rip. Then:
“WASSUP ****ERS!” Toshinori jumped three feet into the air, dislodging Midoriya. Said teen could barely believe his eyes.
“D-Daigoro??” A face appeared in the rip, making it larger.
“Oh no.”
“Oh no.” Aizawa’s and Toshinori’s matching sentences made the face grin. It disappeared, then a man burst into the area from thin air, making Shinsou jump.
“OH Y E A H!” Midoriya felt a giggle burble out of him at the vine reference, catching the fifth User’s attention.
“Ayy, there’s my little Kyu!” Out of nowhere, black whips appeared from Dai’s arms, wrapping around MIdoriya and bringing him closer to the ghost. When he got close enough, the fifth User trapped the ninth in his arms. Behind them, the first User had finished extracting himself from the ripped edges of reality. As soon as he got clear, the rip sewed itself shut.
Nana came up behind the two, giving Midoriya a warm smile. She started carding her fingers through his fluffy green hair, grinning a bit wider when his eyes closed and he leaned into the contact. Gently scritching at his scalp with her fingers, she turned to the others on the roof. The black-haired scruffy looking one seemed ready to pounce, but his face seemed familiar from a page in Midoriya’s notebook. Ignoring the teen basically purring under her fingers, she addressed him.
“I’m guessing you to be Aizawa-sensei, his homeroom teacher and the Underground pro hero Eraserhead?” He seemed mildly taken aback at her knowledge of him. Which was understandable. She was a ghost. Toshinori seemed like his vision of the world was rapidly shifting. Either that or an existential crisis.
