“Piece of shit-brother” but said in an affectionate way

Summary:

Jirou has a crush. Jirou also has an annoying big brother. One thing that Jirou does not have is peace of mind, because said brother is quire adamant on teasing her about her crush.

Notes:

I remember seeing someone point out a guy from the support studies during the sports festival arc looked a lot like a genderbent Jirou and here I am; I’ve made a fic sort-of-centered around a guy who showed up on screen once.

(Also this fic is a part of a series so if you just stumbled upon this, I advice you to read the whole thing to really get the gist of whats happening!)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: The message

Chapter Text

A few days later, and Jirou still refuses to face Bakugou. Which is awkward, because they end up sitting together a lot. The bakusquad is unfortunately close, so they sit together during lunch unless Bakugou makes a dramatic exit or Jirou makes up an excuse. Therefore the bakusquad sits together around the table, the more talkative talking while the grumpy ones (Jirou and Bakugou) stare at them or say a grumpy comment. However this time, she doesn’t need an excuse to leave. Her phone buzzes with a message, and when Jirou picks the phone out of her pocket she raises her brows.

“kyo get over here”

“Is it Mitoku?” Sero looks over her shoulder, eyebrows raised with curiosity. She only nods his head and Sero backs off in understandment.

Mina turns to them, looking confused. “Who that?” She asks, adorably.

“My big brother,” Jirou ignores that thought the moment it hits her. She pockets the phone and moves to stand up, taking her bag with her. “He wants to meet up, so I’m leaving.”

“Wait, wait!”

Jirou turns around again, facing Kaminari. His voice had sounded oddly urgent, but when she sees him he is only wearing a shit eating grin; the usual.

“Is he hot?”

Their mother’s genes were oddly strong when it came to appearances. They both have the same hooded eyes and choppy, purple hair. However Mitoku is more prone to blushing and smiling compared to his little sister. They do not have the same Quirk either, Mitoku had gotten their father’s rhytm based Quirk instead of the earphone jacks. Also, he is way taller, but that only makes sense as he is one year older than her, and Jirou is already short for her age. “He looks just like me.” Jirou answers with a shrug. She doesn’t understand why Kaminari is asking her this, he has met Mitoku after all. Unfortunately enough, they are friends, too.

“So that’s a yes?”

Kaminari says with a wink. Everyone groans, especially Jirou. She should have seen that one coming, really. She is just a little too focused on what it is that Mitoku wants with her. They rarely interact during school hours, even after the dorm system took place. Jirou had no problem with this. While she misses her family a regular amount, she likes the feeling of indepence the radio silence gives her. Mikotu knows her well enough to be aware of this, so he rarely bothers her. So it is odd of him to tell her to meet up. Jirou doesn’t even bother to give Kaminari a reply, she rolls her eyes and heads off to class 2-H instead. She doesn’t notice Mina lingering on her.
