Summary
They make a deal - Lan Wangji can keep A-Yuan, but in return he may only play Inquiry thrice a year for the duration of his seclusion. Yuan does not understand how he had another father who died, or why his own father is so sad, but he listens as Lan Wangji plays Inquiry and speaks to Wei Wuxian. After that, Wei Wuxian becomes a fixture of life, and his presence is felt everywhere.

Sad that it's abandoned. It's such a goos story. Sad but pretty. Wei Ying is wind chimes and wind and butterflies and the smell of tea and bunnies that find A-Yuan when he's sad.
