EraserHead Merchandise.

Summary:

On the other hand, Shouta Aizawa isn't going to say that they are his children, not even when he is running towards the rooms block because there is a black mist around him, and one of those monsters are attacking the structure.

✿·━━━━━━━━※━━━━━━━━·✿

Or basically, on Aizawa-Sensei's birthday, the entire class of 1A wants to prepare a special surprise for him.

Nevertheless, when the last of their gifts to him is late in delivery, a strange visitor attacks his building.

Notes:

I know we are nowhere near Aizawa's birthday, but I really wanted to do this, basically because I like to write about his class by being adorable and loving with him.

It occurred to me before sleeping so here I am!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Aizawa isn't exactly a recognized hero.

It isn't something that bothers him, he's completely used to not being recognized for the things he does, for the villains he faces or the sacrifices he has ever had to make. He's an underground hero. He doesn't give interviews or autographs, much less there is merchandise of him hanging around.

It isn't something that bothers him. His job as a hero is to protect and help, whether he's recognized for it or not, he will do what he has to do to defend the society he chose to care for.

He prefers to do it at night, watching the streets while everyone else sleeps to give the morning heroes a break, facing the dangers they would normally do if they weren't having a deep sleep.

He's damaged and heals by himself. He licks his wounds in complete solitude and isn't bothered by it, he has never needed much company.

It isn't because he wants to do it, but simply that he hasn't never been good at interacting socially with other people. He's strange in many ways, unaffected, and the most stubborn introvert he knows, so it isn't a surprise that there aren't many people who want to be around him, except those who have enough patience to tear down his walls and understand how complicated his personality is.

So, Aizawa will never understand that kind of gift he has for teaching.

He had known it since he was a teenager, he has a special gift to direct and give orders that are abiding, when he has a degree of authority, he's good to manage it at the levels that correspond to him and take the best advantage of the situation.

So he isn't surprised that his job at the U.A is undoubtedly being a teacher. Although some question his methods, going so far as to expel an entire class if he didn't see the potential in them or noticed some sign of stubbornness that would lead to disaster.

However, there is one class that is the exception to all his rules. One that he can't expel even if they have his adolescent nonsense, one that he cares for more than any other, an entire class that has gradually earned a space in his armored heart.

Let no one dare ask why or how, because even he himself doesn't know. But that 21 student class loves him. All of them, from the most stubborn to the most affectionate, the 21 aspiring heroes have an immense affection for him.

And the worst? It's that he corresponds that love.

He doesn't have an answer for that either, he's never been very attached to people other than Nemuri or Hizashi, but there's something about those kids that calls him. He watches over them, he orders them, he takes care of them even with his life and he makes sure that they are well physically and mentally, going as far as doing everything possible to keep them in a state of safety, taking him to the extremes of asking for special permits or make sacrifices that would lead to problems, with the only excuse of wanting to see those happy children.

Still, he refuses to call them "his children."

Many of the people who work at the school have said it, it's a known rumor from adults to students, that his pseudonym is "DadZawa" because he is the adoptive father of the entire 1°A class.

But he will never admit that. He isn't going to say that he feels like the father of all those teenagers, not even because when some of them quarrel he is the first to intervene, not even because he orders them to make dinner or clean the room, much less when he "pamper then" letting them stay up late to do a movie marathon or drag him to one of those joint breakfasts they set up every day.

Shouta Aizawa isn't going to say that they are his children, not even when he is running towards the building block because there is a black mist around him, and one of those monsters attacking the structure.

He isn't going to say it, even though his legs are killing him from the sudden race, much less when he feels that something is breaking because of moving so rudely in search of drawing his capture weapon.

He isn't going to say that the 1°A class is made up of his children, even as he thinks that if necessary, that will be another time that he will put his life ahead before letting those children get hurt.

A few days ago

Izuku is terribly tired.

Maybe it's because last night he couldn't sleep very well, but he feels that training that day was heavier than usual, he feels his muscles tremble, in a way that they are begging for some rest after his routine.

Training with Shinsou has been very new. Luckily, there was one more space in 1°A for the purple haired boy and now he was receiving the same classes as them; he wasn't complaining, working with someone who focused more on the mind than on the physical was quite entertaining, in addition to his personality slowly adapting to them, gradually coming to join their strange family.

Unfortunately his thoughts are cut off by someone knocking on his door. He complains out loud, terribly tired to have to get up, but the insistence of the person on the other side forces him to do so.

Opening the door, he finds the product of his thoughts, an embarrassed Shinsou is standing in front of his room, scratching his neck as if searching for the right words to continue.

Is something wrong Shinsou? — He puts on the best smile he has, although in reality he is feeling fatal for every moment he stands there.

Yaoyorozu and Iida say they need us all in the common room. — He says, already looking at him. — They say it's one of your "special meetings."

He laughs a little when he sees the gesture made by the purple haired boy, of course, this is the first time he's been with them in one of those meetings, so he's sure he doesn't have the slightest idea of how they work.

However, this time he is considering not attending, yes, the meetings were of moderate importance, but for once he wants to look like Kacchan and miss to rest properly, in fact his whole body is hurting and he doesn't want to do anything else than sleeping comfortably in his bed.

But perhaps he changes his mind when he sees the "Bakusquad" dragging the blond. Kaminari, Mina, Sero and Kirishima are pulling him by the ankles, as he scratches the floor and launches explosions, claiming that he doesn't want to appear at the meeting either. If they would dare to pull out who they know could smash their faces in, then it must be something important, so he lets out a sigh and leaves his room, accompanying Shinsou.

Once they are in the common room. The 19 remaining 1st grade students stare at their class delegates in the center, the two as almost always when they are in one of these meetings look proud of what they are about to announce.

They stand still, waiting to see that it was so important that they were brought in after such a tough workout (maybe they also hang around the air how fucking those two look so neat after that, but no one asks the question.)

You may be wondering what they're doing here this time. — It's Yaoyorozu the one that begins, joining her hands with joy to start explaining. — We are sorry to have to take you away from your beloved rest at this time, but it's a matter of extreme urgency that we have to deal with here.

DadZawa's birthday! — It's Mina who says that, raising her arms in a pose of victory.

Everyone is silent at that moment, although they laugh a little when they see Iida's annoyed expression, folding his arms although his seriousness doesn't fade.

Oh... - She excuses herself, sitting down again. — Sorry Iida.

Well, yeah, that's actually the point of today's meeting. — The named one continued with the exhibition. — We were thinking of throwing a party for all of us, so today's meeting is to assign the tasks that...

They weren't even allowed to finish the sentence, because suddenly everyone was raising their hands and shouting out loud the activity they wanted to do.

The Bakusquad, of course with Sato included, would be in charge of making the food for the party; while all the Dekusquad would be in charge of the decoration; the others shared things such as keeping him busy so that he didn't decipher anything, organize some games, things that their teacher would like, etc, etc.

However, soon one issue went through the whole class, suddenly interrupting their talk and their organization of names on a blackboard.

Wait... — That's Iida, voicing the concern of the rest of the class. — What are we going to give him?

Everyone is silent with that question, of course, a party was partly a great detail, but they still had to get him a gift for that occasion. But how would they do it? One gift per student? One per the whole house? Wouldn't it be too much?

Suddenly a debate begins, all the members expressing their opinions around that it would be a good idea to give their complicated and somewhat grumpy teacher, however, nobody is clear on what to give exactly. They had some ideas that he might like it, cat or coffee related things for example, but nothing they could think of that sounded convincing or enjoyable.

Deku has remained silent all that time, if someone were asked him individually, he would say that he hadn't idea that the gift would be correct. Their teacher was a complicated person, and while they were sure that he wouldn't refuse an organized party for them they knew that he didn't like things too explosive, so they would keep it as calm as possible, considering that it was a party with 21 teenagers present a gift was something much more personal, something that should denote the affection that they had beyond being their main instructor, he had to express the love they had for him as a person, like Shouta Aizawa.

As if from a heavenly salvation meant, a notification on his phone gives him the perfect idea.

He was going to ignore the vibration of his cell phone in favor of contributing to the collective doubt with some solution, but destiny wanted him to tire of the insistence and by chance look at the notification.

It wasn't a big deal, apparently his favorite online store where he got many of his hero products had a new product to advertise. He was about to slide the small window to ignore it, but something curious in the back of his mind and clicked almost without thinking.

He let out a gasp of amazement, technology once again saving his life by giving him the perfect solution to the problem. Apparently everyone noticed him because of his expression, so he quickly turned the screen of his cell phone to show them the new acquisition of the store.

"In a completely unexpected turn of events, EraserHead Merchandise for the first time in our store! A small plush toy about 15cm tall demonstrating that even shadow heroes can be adorable. Don't be scared by his serious face Young little hero! EraserHead is the professional who trains the new generations at the prestigious UA school, so he's anything but bad. Adorable in his own way! Book it now and you will get yours in less than three days." Written in small print, there was a small notice advising that this promotion was valid only within Japan, but they didn't pay much attention to that.

A plushie? — Kirishima asks, tilting his face like a puppy trying to understand the idea that is being put to him.

I didn't believe that the Aizawa-Sensei merchandise could exists. — It's Kaminari who says that, scratching his cheek a little.

I think it's a good idea. — Tsuyu says, doing her typical gesture of putting a finger under her chin. — Sensei doesn't receive much rebirth for his work.

That's exactly what I was thinking about. — Izuku picks up the word, looking at the phone again. — How about we get Sensei merchandise from him? I know it sounds strange, but I was thinking of making him one of those pillars of recognition.

A pillar of recognition?

Yeah! Some heroes have those pillars scattered throughout the city. People leave memories and things of or for them, like letters, official merchandise, flowers, photos, newspaper notes, everything you can think of!

That isn't done only when they are dead or retired?

It may be, but we can make it one with another meaning. So that he understand that we admire, recognize and appreciate his work, for all the dedication he put into caring for the entire class.

Sounds like a good idea! But, Aizawa-Sensei's birthday is in a week, do you think the products we order online will arrive on time?

If we all contribute our money, we could request fast shipments, for a little more money.

Then it would be a collective gift! How many gifts should we put?

At least 21. One product for each of us.

Do you think there is such a variety? I don't want to sound rude, but he isn't highly acclaimed.

They don't have to be just objects, we can put photographs or newspaper notes that admire him.

It's a great idea!

So that's it, everyone to collect things for DadZawa!

The whole class likes the idea and since nobody refutes it, everyone starts to investigate everything they can find that has to do with their beloved teacher.

A week later

Collecting all of the EraserHead merchandise takes them all week.

In the end, they realize that if there are more than 21 completely different products from each other for the pillar, but they also realize other things as well.

First, they realize that their teacher is apparently more beloved in countries of the American continent than in Japan or its vicinity, so they leave enough of their savings to rush shipments, because the things they found within their own country were exaggeratedly limited.

Second, the reporters were disgusting. Many of the articles they found were spent criticizing their teacher and made their veins boil to see how someone who literally put his life on the battlefield for his students was criticized even for the way he didn't present himself to the media.
However, doing a lot of research, they managed to find some who really recognized their actions, such as those who talked about USJ events and his protection of students.

Third, the postal service was also gross.
In reality it wasn't very difficult to pass packages to the UA, the security of the door checked it to see that everything was in order and then they passed it to the students in their block, only that they had to notify it first, it wasn't much of a problem.
But Midoriya's 100% trustworthy page was becoming 99% trustworthy, because evenone day before their teacher's birthday, the package hadn't arrived yet.

Apparently they were having some problems with their regular distributors, who were delaying the paperwork to enter the package into the territory of the school, and it was too late to change the shipping location, so there they were, monitoring every minute the door and their phones to find the stupid package.

Keeping Aizawa distracted from their deliveries was quite a process. They had to ask the other teachers for favors to notify them and deliver the packages directly to the students, because they couldn't allow the surprise to be ruined by letting their teacher review any of the deliveries and start asking questions.

Thus, they had received hundreds of boxes and envelopes through the windows or in the middle of classes, from every teacher, including All Might himself.

However, there was still only one product that hadn't arrived and that was vital for the formation of the pillar of recognition.
One that even on November 8 itself, hadn't yet arrived even near the U.A.

This is a disaster! — Mina was going crazy. — We can't show it to him without that! How could it haven't arrived yet?!

I-I'm sure it will come soon. — The green haired boy answers, notably nervous.

Well, It's better for it do it. — Bakugou responds, arms folded and sitting on the sofa closest to the front door. — The cockatoo can't keep him busy for a long time.

Virtually everything at the party was ready. From the decor to the food and the pillar that stuck to the wall at the back of the room, there were hundreds of Eraserhead hero-themed items, but in the center of the concrete pillar was a small space claiming for something, that curious object that unfortunately hadn't yet arrived.

They had asked Mic to please distract their teacher for several hours so that they could finish all the preparations and it had been around two hours since they had retired, so as Kacchan claimed, it shouldn't be long before they will come back from whatever they are doing.

So everyone was guarding the door, some closer than others, waiting for someone to finally knock to bring their package.

After what seemed like eternal minutes, someone knocked on the door. Half the class practically jumped out of their seats towards the door, but in the end it was Iida who opened it, although in the process at least 8 students fell onto his back, sending them all to the ground.

It seemed almost an epiphany, but it was finally there, after so long waiting, at the foot of their block of rooms was that much desired box with the official seal they were longing for.

Isn't it a little strange that they just leave it there? — Tokoyami is the one who asks, looking from above at the pile of students who see the box as if it were the greatest prize they had ever received in their lives. — Generally a teacher brings it and it's open, this one is completely sealed.

That was a good observation, but unfortunately or fortunately his doubts were soon resolved, as the strange box began to jump. Literally speaking, the little packet out of nowhere jumped up and started to squirm, rocking back and forth under the eyes of the students.

A kind of black mist began to emerge from it, leaving the place almost in complete darkness before expelling one more thing, a small bright blue ball, which suddenly flashed with force, revealing something that was difficult to see in the first instance.

Get away! — As if he could guess the result, Todoroki quickly formed a wall of ice that intercepted a stream of acid fast enough for the others to move away before it could get through the material.

They close the door behind them, but it's of little use, because something is abruptly knocking on the door. So they quickly put things around it that block it.

They head to the windows to see what it is, and freeze when they realize it's a Nomu.
It isn't a high-end, because it attacks brutally and without thinking, trying to break the front door instead of looking for another entrance.

What the hell is one of those things doing here?! — It's Sero who asks hysterically.

How could it get through security and get into the package in the first place? — This time It's Todoroki who asks that, his voice still retains some of his usual calm.

It isn't time to think about that! — Yaoyorozu raises his voice.

We have to get rid of that thing! — Mina is the one who screams that.

Get away from the door! — Uraraka screams, when suddenly they start to see how the beast spews acid from its mouth, partially destroying the door.

However, before the creature could finish doing its thing. A voice was heard behind it. — Hey you! — It's the voice of Tokoyami who taking advantage of the darkness that surrounds the building, use Dark Shadow to distract the Nomu. Apparently, he had exited through one of the sliding doors on the sides.

Apparently it worked, because the creature immediately started walking in the opposite direction like a zombie, it still didn't attack, simply targeting to him.

But something alerted the attention of another member of the group, if the Nomu continued his walk in that direction, he would undoubtedly crush the box they had been waiting for so long. Sure, they didn't even know if the content was correct, but he couldn't risk losing it.

Like a gust of wind, Midoriya used the power of the One for All to get closer to the monster's feet and push the pack away from it. However, that action caused the Nomu to turn its attention back to him, so on the other side a blast of fire had to distract him.

Don't take rash actions. — The two-color boy quickly claims, standing in front of Tokoyami, who still has Dark Shadow above their heads.

Now the Nomu seemed a little disoriented, not knowing exactly what to do, it begins to gag, as if preparing a large charge of acid to eject. However, just as it begins to spit, all three are covered by a metal plate that repels acid but at the same time disintegrates when touched by that.

It's a quick movement that gives them time to take shelter until the attack stops, the Nomu standing still for a few seconds, which gave them time to realize that it was Momo and Iida who had brought the three of them out of that situation.

Before the creature can think of doing anything else, explosions are heard approaching.

Die! — It goes without saying that it's Bakugou who says that, however, he's using Kirishima as a platform, climbing on the other boy's hardened back to gain momentum and blast directly at the Nomu's exposed brain.

The beast throws its arms around its face, apparently the damage worked, but that only causes another attack with the acid, this time directed towards nowhere, only releasing a large jet that points to the forest as if it were a painful reaction.

His arms move just in Deku's direction though, snatching the box from his hands and causing it to fall to the ground, just below the beast. In an instant an Iida can be seen running at great speed to retrieve the box and pass it to Tokoyami who catches her with the beak of Dark Shadow. His also carrying Sero over his shoulder, who quickly wraps tape around the Nomu's feet.

These two retreat quickly and suddenly there is a layer of ice underneath the Nomu, who slides and falls to the ground with a thud.

The creature stands still for several seconds, long enough for everyone to move in front of it, and for Bakugou to ask the question: — Did it work?

His response comes quickly, the Nomu roars loudly as it rips the tape from its feet, throwing acid onto the floor to remove the ice and going slightly over the floor.

They keeps still, not knowing exactly what else to do with the monster, until out of nowhere, a yellowish cloth wraps around the monster's mouth and is quickly pulled to the left.

It's Aizawa, who with his capture weapon is pulling the creature's mouth to keep it closed, safe from acid.

Sensei! — Tokayami quickly calls him. — Mist helps its vision! The more light there is the less it can see.

How do you know that? — The hero questions him, raising his voice as he tugs with the creature.

When Bakugou made his explosions, it covered its face instead of its brain and didn't move away from the darker area.

Yaoyorozo, steel wire. — The girl quickly obeys, starting to create several meters that come out of her chest. — Iida, Midoriya, tie it in hands and feet. Kirishima, you and Sato pull when the knots are done.

The plan quickly works, Yaoyorozu forms two different wires that Midoriya and Iida can take. Iida goes straight to the legs again and Tokoyami helps Midoriya by pecking at the creature's head to make it raise its arms in one direction.

With the speed of both, the creature is quickly tied, they give the wire to the other two and join them to pull hard.

That serves to immobilize the creature, but it still struggles against the chains, harder for it to break.

Todoroki, freeze the floor again. — The named one quickly obeys the order, the floor becomes slippery in seconds and they quickly have the creature on the floor again, this time in an impossible way to move. — Kaminari.

You don't have to say it. — The blond boy smiles, generating rays that illuminate the mist. The Nomu screams, or at least makes a noise with its mouth completely sealed, tightly closing its tiny eyes as if the slightest light is blinding them.

Bakugou. — Aizawa calls again.

Don't tell me what to do! — The boy growls, climbing onto the creature's back and aiming directly at its brain, letting out a loud explosion that shatters the creature's skull.

It's disgusting, the remains of the brain of that thing are scattered all over the place, but it's better that way, the creature is now more than defeated.

As Aizawa calls his scarf again, there are a couple of colvulsions by the Nomu. Apparently, it is spitting something from the bottom of its throat. The adult prohibits children from approaching, while gradually approaching that strange and dark object.

He picks it up from the ground, it still has some green substance around it but strangely it isn't destroyed. It's a videotape, as far as he can tell and that makes his spine quiver, apparently that thing was a messenger.

Is everyone okay? — Asks the dark-haired man, his students are already outside the block, meeting him outside. When he receives an assent from all of them, his expression changes to one that denotes authority. — Well, because I'm going to punish all of you for a week, that was reckless, why didn't you call someone?

We did it! — Mina replies.

Apparently they are telling the truth, because suddenly all the U.A personnel are there. Adults and students are there quickly, the firsts ones meeting with him.

Eraser! — Nemuri expresses alarm.

We are very sorry. — Cementos accompanies her. — We would have liked to arrive earlier, but they sabotaged the security system, closed all the doors of the main building and the student buildings, nobody could leave until Mic did something.

They just broke security checks inside. — Explained the blonde who had been named. _ God bless the little knowledge I have on that.

Anyway. — Shouta says. — How did they manage to enter without altering security outside?

Perhaps this can explain it, Aizawa-Kun — All Might approaches him with a tablet, showing him a security video where he could see how just in front of the block of buildings of 1°A a dark tunnel was opening.

I thought we had the matter with Kurogiri under control. — He angrily refutes.

That kind of tunnel is different. — Explain All Might, stopping the video and zooming on the image. — It's dirt, like those who make moles, they left the package around the door and the Nomu came out of one of those balls that Compress makes.

He repeats the video so that he could see it clearly and it's that moment in which Aizawa realizes that his students were putting themselves in danger for a cardboard box.

He turns to see them and the children still have that thing in their hands, not daring to open it in their presence. Angry, he approached them, snatching the box from Izuku's hands.

Inspecting it a bit, he realizes that it has holes underneath, where the polystyrene that protected what was containing that piece of cardboard has been coming out.

Did you all endanger your lives for a box? — He questions angrily, moving the object away from her students, who only lower their heads at the question. — What the hell can this thing contain so that they care so much?

He hear a collective "No!" by the students, who want to snatch the box from his hands, but it's too late, because the raven has already seen its contents and is now tilting his head like a cat trying to find out what the hell mean what he's seeing.

Inside the box, protected by all the pink polystyrene, is a small soft toy with his image. It's a strange plushie, it measures about 15 cm and has a tired expression on his face, but it is all there, from his tired eyes to his capture scarf around his neck and the glasses that are deposited on his hair.

He's about to ask what it means and why the hell would they buy a figure of him, when he receives an answer from his students.

It was supposed to be a surprise to you.

He arches an eyebrow, a surprise? Why they want surprise him?

Hearing a laugh behind him, he can quickly identify it as Mic's, who cheerfully says to him. — You haven't even realized what date is today, right Eraser? — The named one raises an eyebrow, the date? What was important about that? His friend laughs again. — It's November 8th.

"November 8th" that phrase echoes inside his head searching for meaning, he stays still for a few minutes until he realizes... Damn, it's his birthday.

But once he catch the idea, it becomes even weirder for there to be a little doll with his image inside that box. What exactly were they planning to do? Give it to him?

Sorry to ruin the surprise. — Yaoyorozu sighs and suddenly reaches out her hand to help him up. — Please come with us.

Before everyone's attentive gaze, Aizawa takes his student's hand and lets himself be led, dodging the Nomu's white body to head to the block of rooms.

The door is a little smashed due to the acid and the furniture had piled up in the entrance, but the rest of the things were almost intact.

Aizawa is completely still and quiet when he looks around. Everything is arranged with the obvious signs of a planned party, there is food that he likes there and cat decorations everywhere, but that isn't what makes him gape.

It's actually the fact that attached to the wall, there is a pillar with his figure.

He walks slowly towards it, with the 21 students behind him also following as an escort. He stares at the concrete pillar there, lit by a dim light as if angelic.
It isn't just the fact that a figure of him attacking rises up high, has one leg resting on his ankle as if he's jumping down, and the capture scarf floats around him, his hand holding it, as his hair stands up as always when he activated his quirk.

But beyond that, he starts to see everything around him. There are tons of items with his image, from thermoses, to T-shirts and small key chains, newspaper clippings and an image of him with his entire class, taken the day Shinsou joined them.

It would be a bit odd for anyone to choose just that one, but he perfectly understands why. It isn't the typical perfect photo of an ordered class, if not that it's literally a disaster; Kirishima and Kaminari were doing weird poses, Bakugou was shouting towards Midoriya with an explosion in his hand, Aoyama looked directly at the camera with one of those smiles, Tokoyami and Todoroki were doing their best for not to leave in it, and Jirou could be seen scolding the first two idiots, Anyway, overall it's an image where the 21 students are doing anything but stay still like they should and he's there, putting a hand on his forehead to hide his shame.

It's an image that perfectly represents how dynamics work in that class.

And as if it was waiting for that, there is a small space at the foot of the concrete statue, where Mina removes the plushie from his hands to tenderly place it there. There is an inscription there, which says "For the best teacher and adoptive father of all the times. - Class 1°A" he stands still, not knowing exactly what to say to the present so well prepared for him.

He knows that these things are usually done for heroes with greater recognition than his own, for those who find themselves in difficult situations or who have lost their lives. Yet there he is, his own pillar within his class that praises him for all his actions, as no one has ever done before.

But it isn't just the fact of knowing where the hell they took so much merchandise to represent him, but the gesture itself that makes his heart squeeze in his chest.

What do you think? — Midoriya behind him asks that, apparently nervous.

It's... — However, he knows exactly what to say. — Completely unnecessary and useless.

He can almost feel the amazement and sadness that his words cause in the environment, he regrets a little because apparently he doesn't  know very well how to make jokes, but he is trying to give some suspense to the matter.

That is to say. — He says to continue, raising his hand to point at the pillar. — All that merchandise is no use there, it feels empty if nobody uses it. — He thanks that everyone is behind him, because a small and sincere smile is slipping from his lips. — I would rather it be useful, so... Take what you like best.

His students sit still and silent for a second, processing what they have just been told, but suddenly, he can feel the multitude of smiles behind him. A loud and collective is heard. — Seriously?!

Seriously. — He responds, taking the photo of all of them framed for himself, before turning around. — Go ahead, take the thing you like the most from the collection and make use of it, I like it more like that.

He doesn't have to say it two times, because quickly his group of students literally jump on him first, giving him a big hug, and then they pull apart and attack the pillar to get the first thing their hands can take.

The others present around are happy to see how Aizawa really knows how to make his children happy even when they try to make him happy, using the merchandise is a good idea, because the teenagers are extremely happy carrying something with them that have the image of their teacher.

The party continues after that, there is light music and snacks everywhere, the students remain calm because they know that their teacher doesn't like explosive parties, but there are still some jokes about "DadZawa" around the staff.

— I already told you that I'm not anyone's father. — The dark-haired man, as always, is reluctant to accept his position, even if the concrete plate itself said so.

You behave exactly as if you were. — Mic scoffs.

That's not... — But Aizawa doesn't finish his sentence, because the next second his scarf is wrapping around Kaminari's hand. — Stop trying to put hot sauce on drinks!

The blond boy excuses himself awkwardly, walking away.

As I was saying... — Shouta tried to continue, but was interrupted again when someone pushed him. Without turning even, he scolded. — Mina, stop trying to make up Jirou better, she looks good like that. Jirou, stop playing, if you want a change just say it and don't be tough.

The two girls laugh a little and escape from there, the adults in front of the raven laugh out loud and he can do nothing but sigh.

In the end, the party doesn't end until the curfew resounds for the Shouta students, who go to sleep immediately due to exhaustion and thanks to the fact that the adults present take care of the cleaning for them. The Nomu's body will be removed later by the investigation department, nobody worries about it.

They collectively hug their teacher one last time, wishing him good night and a happy birthday before finally heading to the elevator.

And maybe after cleaning Shouta is taken to a bar because he is in a good mood for that, and he gets drunk enough to sing on a table and take several photos with the U.A staff completely drunk.

But they don't know about that.

A few days later

Aizawa is typing on his desktop computer. Things after his birthday party have returned to normal, except for the two photos that are now on his desk, which nobody talks about.

However, something alarming comes to his email. It's a message from Detective Tsukauchi, so he open it quickly.

The mail, brief as only it can was, recites: "Do you remember the Nomu's tape? I think you're going to want to hear this." It comes with an audio, so he picks up some headphones nearby and proceeds to listen to the audio.

He hardly hear anything and he have to sharpen his ears to understand it, but there it's:

"15 days... (distortion) Only one of them... (distortion) 21... (distortion) He have twenty-one but we need one... (distortion) Don't say the name... (distortion) Messenger... (Distortion) You have to bring one here... (distortion and sudden cut) "

It's all he can hear, but something inside Aizawa has just frozen.

Someone, whoever the person was speaking, wanted to take one of his babys.

Notes:

Uuuuuhhhh!

This resulted in an unexpected prequel filled with tenderness before a fic filled with pain and angust?!

Maybe, hehehehe.
