Chapter Text
It was Friday afternoon and the school day was just finishing up.
“Class! Listen up! I have a big announcement to make. In two weeks, we will be participating in a field trip. We and the rest of the high schoolers and middle schoolers here will be going with us to Jeju Island via cruise ship. It’ll be an overnight trip, so be sure to pack yourself everything you’ll need! I’ll now be handing out forms for your parents to sign.” The teacher passed the paper stacks out to the students.
“Alright, that’ll be all. Have a good day, students!” The teacher left the classroom.
Jungkook hummed, stuffed his school supplies and form into his backpack and ran out into the hallways. Taehyung was there, as he expected. He smiled, excited to tell his friend the news.
“Hyung! We’re going on a field trip! And we’ll be on a big, fancy cruise ship, too! It’ll be so much fun!” Jungkook squealed, hopping onto Taehyung’s back.
“I know! This is gonna be fun!” Taehyung cheered, jumping up and down and making Jungkook laugh.
Jungkook slid off Taehyung's back and reached his hand. “We’re going on a trip! We’re going on a trip!” The two sing-songed, as they made their way down the hall to find the other boys.
Jimin caught them in the hallways and skipped over to them, with Hoseok and Namjoon following, as they all made their way towards Seokjin’s classroom.
“We’re going on a trip! I’m so excited!” Seokjin cheered, as he came out from the classroom.
“Yeah, but hyung, we won’t be in the same room! Maybe not even the same floor,” Namjoon mumbled, toeing the floor sadly.
“I’ll just sneak in.” Seokjin whispered into Namjoon’s ear. Namjoon grinned, then the two giggled. They all started to walk towards Yoongi’s classroom to grab him, too.
“Did you guys already get assigned roommates?” Yoongi asked. “For the trip?”
“Boys were put with boys and girls with girls,” Hoseok replied.
“I’m with Hoseok,” Namjoon elbowed Hoseok. “Since I can’t be with Seokjin-hyung.”
Seokjin pouted and leaned on Namjoon’s arm. “I’m with one of the cute boys in my class.” Seokjin shrugged, indifferent.
“Oh?” Namjoon said, not at all subtle with his jealousy. “Is he-”
“What I’m saying, Joonie,” Seokjin giggles, “Is that he has a girlfriend. So that’s why I’m going to sneak off to your room, ‘cause all they’re gonna do is make out.” Seokjin made a face and Namjoon let out a visible sigh in relief.
“Before you two get all lovey dovey, I’m gonna leave.” Yoongi ran to Jimin hugging him from behind, practically startling him.
“Hyung, are you excited for the trip?” Jimin asked.
“Yeah, but only because you’re gonna be there,” Yoongi said, as he kissed Jimin’s cheek, earning a giggle from Jimin.
“You yell at us being all lovey dovey, but look at you!” Seokjin complained, pointing to them.
“That’s because it’s you two. I’d complain if it was Taehyung and Jungkook too, but this is Jimin and I so no, your argument is invalid.” Yoongi smirked.
“That’s nice. That’s real nice,” Seokjin said sarcastically.
“Jimin-ah, who’s your roommate?” Yoongi asked.
“Taetae is!”
“Cool,” Yoongi pouted, snuggling into his hair.
“Who’s your roommate?” Jimin giggled.
“Some dumb kid in my class. I don’t even know his name. Don’t know. Don’t care.”
“That’s nice. Jungkook-ah, who’s yours?” Jimin asked.
“I’m with a person,” Jungkook replied.
“Oh, yeah. Because I know who person is. Yeah, of course. Super specific. Thanks for your clarification,” Yoongi said, sarcastically.
Jungkook laughed, bright and youthful. “I’m joking. I’m with Dohoon. He’s some kid in my class.”
“Not to change the subject, but do you guys have any plans tonight? Meaning, are you guys going to each other’s houses to make googly eyes at each other and makeout?” Hoseok asked everyone.
“No, we have to pack,” Seokjin said.
“What? Why? The trip isn’t for another couple of weeks!” Namjoon looked at Seokjin, confused.
“Yes, that’s true, but I’m going to pack. You gotta be prepared, you know?”
“Well I’m going over to Taetae hyung’s place!” Jungkook said, proudly.
“And I’ll be at Jimin’s house,” Yoongi added.
Hoseok sighed. “I should’ve known. Well, okay, then. Namjoon? Seokjin-hyung? Can I come to one of your guys’ houses? Those ones are just going to stick their tongues down each other’s throats all afternoon.”
“Sure, you can come over. And Namjoon…?” Seokjin looked at him.
“I’ll come over, Seokjin-hyung. I don’t want to be the only lonely one!” Namjoon groaned.
“Feel my pain. Being single sucks!” Hoseok shouted.
“You both can come, but don’t think I’m gonna leave Hoseokie behind.” Seokjin stated.
“Yeah, I know. I wouldn’t want you to, anyways.” Namjoon smiled.
“Please don’t. I’m so lonely,” Hoseok groaned. “Lemme call my mom and let her know.”

The boys all ran into Seokjin’s room as soon as they had arrived at his house. Seokjin immediately pulled out his bag and started packing, even if the whole thing did seem illogical.
After about half an-hour of shoving clothes, books, accessories and other items into his travel bag, Seokjin realized that he was going to need a bigger one. And so, he grabbed a small suitcase out from his closet and moved all of his stuff into that.
Then, Seokjin’s brother, Seokjoong, came in and gave them dinner about halfway through his flurry of packing. He just looked at Seokjin, then to the mess he had made and sighed. He left the room.
“Uh… hyung.” Hoseok called.
“What?!” Seokjin asked, frustrated after having run all over the place.
“Nevermind.” Hoseok said, waved and ran back to his seat on the floor, not wanting to frustrate him further and be the victim of his anger.
“I need a bigger suitcase. Again ,” Seokjin complained.
“Hyung, we’re only gonna be there for two days. You don’t need this much stuff! Besides, it’s not for like another month! Just stop for now and pack later.” Namjoon insisted, pouting.
“No! I have to get this right!” Seokjin yelled, stuffing clothes into the suitcase. After a couple of hours Seokjin got it all in.
“Done!” Seokjin cheered.
“That’s great,” Namjoon exhaled. “Now come and eat.”
“Hurry and eat before it gets… cold er .” Hoseok said.
“Alright, alright. I guess I’ll eat,” Seokjin huffed, as he picked up his chopsticks and sat down with them. The three continued to chat and laugh until late into the night, eventually getting to the point where Hoseok got so tired, that he fell asleep on the floor.
Seokjin pulled out the mattress under his bed and grabbed a few blankets for Hoseok. He and Namjoon then carried Hoseok gently onto the mattress and covered him.
“Hyung, can I borrow some of your pajamas?” Namjoon whispered.
“Sure. Blue or pink?” Seokjin carefully dug through his drawers, then held both pairs up for Namjoon.
“The blue one, please.”
Seokjin nodded and tossed the clothes to him. He stared at the pink pajamas in his hand then, and began to realize that they were a little cutesy; they were soft and long, with a white trim, after all.
“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear cute-ish clothes before. And you’ve never seen me wear this either. So, how about this? We’ll face back to back and change clothes and then, on the count of three, we’ll turn around and surprise each other with what we look like.”
Namjoon grinned. “Sounds good.”
Seokjin and Namjoon both turned around and began to change clothes.
“Alright. One… two… three!” Seokjin counted and slowly, the two turned around.
Seokjin already knew that Namjoon was adorable - anything he ever did or wore was going to be gorgeous, anyways - but he looked so cute in the pajamas.
“Oh my gosh, you look so cute!”
Namjoon smiled, big and dimpley. “You look cute, too. Pink really suits you. How come you wear this blue one all the time?”
“My parents bought this one for me a long time ago. Y’know, when I was going through a really intense pink phase. But now I like blue, so I wear the blue one,” Seokjin chuckled.
Namjoon kept staring at Seokjin.
“Is something wrong?” Seokjin asked.
“I’m sorry hyung, but you’re just so cute!” Namjoon blushed.
“Sorry for wha-?” Seokjin was interrupted by Namjoon pushing him down onto the bed. Namjoon kissed Seokjin’s sweet lips, fast and a little ravenous. He began to trail kisses down Seokjin’s jaw and across his collarbone.
“Namjoon-ah,” Seokjin groaned, “What are you doing?” Seokjin whispered loudly.
“I’m sorry hyung, but you’re so cute in that. I can’t help myself,” Namjoon replied, taking a break from kissing him to nose into Seokjin’s neck.
“But what happens if we wake up Hoseok?”
“We won’t, but we’ll have to be quiet. It’ll be okay, don’t worry.” Namjoon began sucking on Seokjin’s neck again.
“Just don’t leave any marks. I don’t want to wear a turtleneck or a scarf.”
"It's winter, hyung."
"It’s nearly spring!"
“Fine, then.” Namjoon pouted.
With one hand, Namjoon began caressing Seokjin’s stomach, trailing just a little below where Seokjin’s pajama top had risen up. He kept kissing all over his neck too, biting and sucking.
Seokjin hummed in pleasure.
Suddenly, Hoseok began to stir. Seokjin and Namjoon froze, waiting for their friend to wake up, see them and yell at them. But instead, Hoseok merely turned and laid on his other side.
Seokjin practically threw Namjoon off of him.
“That was too close, Namjoon! We almost got caught.” Seokjin whined.
“But we didn’t. ” Namjoon teased.
“You almost woke Hoseok up. We gotta stop now, c’mon, let’s go to sleep.”
“Aww, but can’t we continue?”
“Namjoon… I don’t want to get caught. We could get in trouble,” Seokjin gave Namjoon a peck on the lips, “C’mon now, you goof. Let’s head to bed.” Seokjin pulled the blanket over the two of them.
Namjoon grinned. “Okay. I’ll go to sleep with you.”
Seokjin scooted closer to Namjoon, who wrapped his arms around him and snuggled close.
“Goodnight, Namjoon-ah.” Seokjin said.
“Goodnight, hyung.” Namjoon replied, giving Seokjin a squeeze to pull him closer.
