one rainy saturday, the kim-min household decided to stay home and play inside. jimin had suggested that they play hide and seek and share a video of jeongguk hiding. they knew he had a hidden agenda behind it, knowing that children were terrible at properly hiding, but yoongi decided to humour him and agreed to recording it.
and so, seokjin found himself sitting in front of the coffee table, arms folded and head on his arms as he counted, while jeongguk was given the task to hide.
"where should we hide, baby?" yoongi asked jeongguk who was still standing next to seokjin.
"ah!" jeongguk exclaimed. he grabbed yoongi's fingers and started walking towards their bedroom while yoongi followed curiously.
once inside the bedroom, jeongguk let go of his hand and toddled over towards the dresser. he pulled the bottom drawer out, grabbed one of seokjin's turtleneck sweaters, and pushed the drawer back closed.
"what--"
jeongguk plopped down in front of the dresser, back against the drawer, and raised the sweater to cover his front, humming proudly at his ingenuity.
yoongi valiantly tried to hold his laughter, especially at how proud jeongguk was, and took pictures of it to feed the groupchat's thirst for jeongguk-related content.
"...nineteen, twenty! ready or not, here i come!" seokjin finished counting and announced. yoongi could see him get up from where he was seated in front of the coffee table to start his search, so he began recording a video of jeongguk who was still 'hidden' behind the sweater.
"hmm, i wonder where jeonggukie could be?" seokjin asked loudly, and jeongguk giggled, slightly muffled from behind the sweater. "ggukie, where are you?"
"da!" jeongguk exclaimed, and yoongi nearly dropped his phone while shaking in laughter.
seokjin chuckled as he walked to the bedroom, following jeongguk's voice, and found the two near the dresser.
"hmm, is gukkie in here?" seokjin wondered aloud, and jeongguk giggled again. "i wonder where he could be, i can't see him anywhere."
which, yoongi thought, wasn't too far from the truth. the sweater nearly drowned jeongguk and completely hide him from sight.
jeongguk squealed as he pushed the sweater down, revealing himself and grinning widely.
"there he is!" seokjin exclaimed, picking jeongguk up and holding him tight.
jeongguk shrieked in laughter as seokjin tickled him, and yoongi finished recording the video, quickly sending it to the groupchat and ignoring jimin's spam of heart eyes emoji that was sure to follow, before joining the two to give his baby even more hugs and kisses.
