aka the high school shojo manga AU no one asked for.

Notes:

I'm back with a new AU! This is what happens after I read too many shojo mangas.

I do not think it will be my best story. The chapters will be even more simple than I usually write and the story is rocky at best but I need a project to keep me busy. Expect once more full of cliche!

The title of the story comes the song by Perfume.

Small detail: the uniform they wear is something like this.

I hope you enjoy it!

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Keigo could already feel himself suffocating. He always had hated ties and he felt like this school would not let him untie it or wear it loose.

The great hall with the various prizes in a glass case was the best indication that Touguchito Gakuen was not taking its title of the third-best high school for nothing.

“Here will be your class,” the teacher, Miura said. He actually had been rambling about the school the whole time from the principal office to the classroom but Keigo had barely paid mind to him. “I’ll introduce you to the class, wait here.”

Keigo said an easy-going “yes~” before the teacher entered the class. The class greeted him.

“Did you guys did your summer homework?” He teased.

“Sensei~ that was way too much!” A female voice said.

“You guys are students! Your only duty is to study.” A couple of voices complained but the teacher only laughed. “Let’s congratulate Todoroki-san, who became the school council president!”

“President Todoroki!” A male voice exclaimed and a bunch of people clapped their hands.

“Make sure we have pizza at the cafeteria!” Another male voice said.

“That’s impossible!” A girl answered, laughing.

“Ok, class, clam down,” the teacher interrupted before it became more chaotic, “there is more news today!”

“A new student!”

“Yes! Please enter.”

Keigo entered the room, a couple of girls started to giggle.

“His name is Takami Keigo,” he then turned to Keigo, “could you introduce yourself?’

“I’m Takami Keigo, I used to live in Fukuoka but my… father got transferred. I’m confident that I’m the fastest guy here.”

‘Ooh’ were heard in the class as someone whispered: “Yamada, you might want to fight for your title.”

“Thank you, Takami-kun,” the teacher said, “your seat is just next to Todoroki-san. Todoroki-san, could you stand up?”

A girl with white with streaks of red hair stood up. She was wearing glasses and looked at him with a warm smile.  So that is the school council president.

“I’ll be in your care, prez,” he couldn't help but say, a smile on his face.

She blushed a lovely red as she sat down. “Likewise,” she murmured.

The first class was continued without any issues. Keigo didn’t have the necessary books and shared them with Todoroki which gave him good occasions to look at her.

She was cute, Keigo couldn’t help but notice.  Her boobs are huge!

The first bell rang announcing the 15-minute break and Fuyumi quickly stood up, a yellow bag in her hands.

“A lunchbox?” Keigo couldn’t help but ask.

Fuyumi nodded. “I have to give it to someone.”

“Oh? A boyfriend?”

She blushed. “No!”

But before Keigo could tease her more, she left the class.

“Takami-kun!” A girl at his right exclaimed. “My name is Takahashi Aya! You can call me Aya!”

“My name is Miyake Mitsuki,” another girl said.

“Takami-kun, do you have a girlfriend?” Aya asked.

“Nope! I don’t,” he replied casually.

“Eh? You look like the popular type,” she replied.

“Not at all! All the girls at my previous school said I go too fast!”

“Takami-kun, how improper!” The girls all laughed and Keigo found himself surrounded by girls, all asking about his previous school.

Before the bell rang for the second class, Todoroki was back at her seat, the yellow bag gone.

Just like that, a week had passed. Keigo was getting used to the school. The track team was trying to recruit him after he had beaten Yamada’s speed record but Keigo wasn’t sure if he wanted to join a club yet.

Though the school was not obligating them, it was ‘strongly recommended’ to join one.

“Takami-kun!” Aya said after class. “The class is going to karaoke. It could be your welcome party! Do you want to join us?”

Keigo pondered. The guys also seemed to be going so he thought he’d try to mingle with the rest of the class. “Yeah, sure!” He turned toward his left. “Prez, are you going?”

Todoroki looked at him in shock, as if she was not expecting the question.

“She can’t. She never comes to events after class,” Aya said.

“Sorry,” Todoroki said. “I have things to do at home.” She gave a small bow and exited the classroom.

“What was that about?” Keigo asked.

Aya shrugged. “She’s been like that since middle school. She’s friendly and all but she never comes when we ask to meet after class or weekends.”

“I heard that she has to take care of her brothers,” Mitsuki added, “she’s the only girl with 3 brothers.”

“Her mother left too, or so says the rumours.”

“She never really talks about her family though. She doesn’t even talk about Touya-senpai.”

“Touya-senpai?” Keigo interrupted.

“Yeah. He’s a 3rd year. But he’s a delinquent since middle school. People are scared of him,” Aya explained.

“He’s so cool though!” Mitsuki said. Aya grimaced. “What? He is with his mysterious look!”

“Yeah but the only reason why the school hasn’t kicked him out even if he rarely listens is that their dad is giving hush money.”

Mitsuki’s expression turned sombre. “But I guess it makes sense that Fuyumi-san doesn’t have time to play around with that kind of family.”

“Did you know her father is a city administrator?” Aya asked Keigo.

He shook his head no. “Anyway, let’s head toward the karaoke.”

The girls nodded enthusiastically, the previous serious topic vanishing from their mind.

It was only when they met the rest of the class who were waiting by the school gate that Keigo realized he forgot his phone.

“Wait a moment! I’ll be back!” Before they replied, he dashed back toward the school.

He quickly found his phone on his desk.

As he was putting back his shoes he realized Todoroki was there.

“Hey!” He said but whatever he was going to add more died in his mouth as he looked at her teary eyes. “Are you okay?” He finished by ask.

She quickly tried to hide her face. “I’m okay. Please don’t worry.”

As she tried to dry her cheeks, Keigo recognized the yellow bag he saw her bring every day this week.

“I’m sorry you had to see me in that state but don’t worry. I’m fine. Please enjoy karaoke with the class.” She didn’t let him reply as she left the entrance.

Part of him wanted to chase after her, making sure she’d be okay but he knew that at the moment, he was only a stranger. She wouldn’t open up to him.

Keigo exited the school hoping she had someone she could talk with.
