Work Text:
It was 8 AM on a Saturday, and Tine was tired. Somehow Fong, Ohm and Phuak had thought it was a good idea to go out the night before, and Tine was suffering the consequences. They had of course been joined by Sarawat, Man and Boss, and Tine wondered how Sarawat was holding up while he had to play.
He redirected his gaze to the field he had been neglecting and followed Sarawat who was running after an opponent who had the ball. Even from afar, he did look a bit tired, though he seemed to still be in better shape than Tine.
Tine struggled to follow the cheerleading moves, feeling way too hot in his thick white costume as drops of sweat rolled down his forehead. Sarawat looked sweaty too, even more than him, which Tine thought was normal, being a key player and all.
Tine knew he wasn’t the only one looking at Sarawat. Behind him, dozen of his ‘fans’ were cheering for him while also making all the cheerleaders go deaf. He was a sought after guy after all. Yet he chose to pursue Tine.
It really astounded him, the fact that he had managed to capture the heart of the number one hottest guy in their university. He barely could even comprehend it, actually. Tine didn’t really see himself as that much of a special guy, no matter how much he tried to pretend he did in front of others.
And Sarawat was… really hot, no one could deny it. Tine let his gaze follow his running silhouette again. He wasn’t too tall or too short, only slightly shorter than Tine. He was thin, but had a lot of muscles and really great arms. He had good hair, currently glued to his forehead with sweat which somehow made him seem even more attractive. Good eyebrows too, and a really great smile.
Speaking of smiles, Sarawat had just scored a goal and was now beaming, getting patted on the shoulder by his teammates as he gazed in Tine’s direction.
Tine was now standing straighter, a huge grin taking up half of his face as their eyes met. At that moment, Tine wanted to stop cheerleading completely and run in his direction to congratulate him. There was only a few minutes left in the match after all, and their win was almost certain.
“Tine, focus!”
He shook his head, trying desperately not to lose the rhythm again as he kept going with the routine. Thankfully, as he felt his last few minutes of energy run out, a whistle sound made it known to everyone on and around the field that it was over. And Tine smiled again. Sarawat had won.
Tine looked at Sarawat once more, seeing him hugging his friends happily as everyone erupted into screams and applause.
As he went to the bench area to drink some water, Sarawat ran up to him and stopped only a few inches from his face. He had a smug smile on the corner of his lips and completely ignored his fan club that had gathered only a few meters from them.
“How did I do?”
Tine wanted to reply something witty like ‘not bad,’ but found himself incapable of doing so.
Instead he smiled shyly as his face warmed up. “Good.”
Sarawat looked really content with that. “Give me your water.”
Tine rolled his eyes. “There’s plenty of bottles only a few steps from here.”
Sarawat looked displeased, his mouth forming an adorable pout which he knew Tine could not resist.
“But I want your water, though.”
Tine heard himself sigh as he extended his bottle to him, watching his Adam’s apple bobble up and down as he drank, a few drops of it rolling down his already glistening neck. It really felt like one of these gay s er ies when the protagonist realizes he’s totally gone for the hottie in front of him. Which was a very accurate way to describe Tine right at this moment.
Sarawat didn’t miss his gaze, bathing in it for a few seconds before looking smug again.
“That was an indirect kiss.”
Tine rolled his eyes again, though he was definitely blushing. He took the bottle from his hands and put the cap back on it.
“You’re an actual toddler.”
Sarawat nodded proudly with a smile. “Hm. Where do you want to go to celebrate?”
“Can we… just not go anywhere tonight? I’m actually exhausted,” he explained.
“Sure,” Sarawat nodded, “we can just chill at home.”
Tine nodded with a content smile, gathering his stuff as Sarawat passed an arm around his shoulders and got his face really close this his ears.
“I want my reward for winning today anyway.”
Tine stared at him with disbelief. “You perv’!”
“Well you’re dating me, so what does that make you, uh?” Sarawat smirked, eyebrows high on his forehead.
Tine ignored him, pinching his waist to cover his embarrassment.
“Let’s go home.”
Home. It still sounded crazy to his own ears, having moved in with Sarawat so quickly after they had g otten together . But it had felt so right every day since. Even though they were young, and Tine never expected himself to date a guy like Sarawat, their little love lair did feel an awful lot like home.
