Summary
Wei Wuxian thought that if he escaped the eyes of the Cultivation World, and lived his life without creating any more disruptions, that their drive to see him either under their control or dead would die down. He was wrong. In the end, his inability to cut off every tie to his life before would be his downfall. After being spotted on a rare night hunt with his Sentinel Lan WangJi, an attack that would take Wei Wuxian's life was planned. Devastation and suspicion of the men who had championed the attack plagued those left behind when it succeeded.
Luckily for Wei Wuxian death wasn't the end of his story. The fallen Guide suddenly finds himself back in the world of the living, though the mystery of attacks on those he called family and on friends would draw him into yet another plot.
